Job Requirements: At least one A-rank legal mage, and no legal mage lower then C-rank. one A-rank Dark mage, or two B-rank. Beat the Lich while combatting the members of the opposing faction!
Job Location: Silent Glaciers
Job Description:
In the rather distant area known as the Silent Glaciers a man sought to shatter the fragile boundary between the realm of the living and that of the dead. The ambitious magus craved for the false immortality of the Undead and so, armed with ambition and a mysterious artefact in the form of a staff, journeyed to the Glaciers... only to never be heard of again. Soon after, however, rumours began spreading of a phenomenon in the area, of humanoid figures roaming the place with their numbers growing day by day. Distressed by the possibility, the Magic Council have put up a job on request boards all over Fiore, hoping to have guild mages embark on the mission to check just how true to rumour of impending undeath is. However, the Council was not the only side interested in the situation, for there are some dark mages who had caught wind of the man's artefact staff and its luring power...
Enemies
Weak: Spectre (C-rank)- Immaterial, these neutral beings tether between the two worlds, not really in either one of them. As such any and all entirely physical objects will phase through them, making them impervious to non-magical attacks. Luckily, these beings will only attack if one treads too close (7 metres). They fight via simple telekineticly-invoked physical impacts.
Medium: 25 Zombies (C-rank)
-Type I- Mindless and driven by hunger, yet have the strength of a major body builder. Contradictory to that however, they are complete pushovers.
-Type II-- They are even easier to kill and very weak, but compensate by their deadly habit of sprinting crazy fast towards their prey. They will also explode in a 5 metre radius when they die. It is advisable to engage them from afar.
Strong: 4 Ghouls (B-rank)- Stronger and faster creatures of darkness that are considered the most feared common undead. They stand 2.5 metres tall armed with claws and fangs, but their most powerful aspect is their innate resistance to magic. All spells below A-rank have 50% reduced effect on them. Furthermore, getting wounded by one would make your flesh start to slowly decay causing C-ranked damage per post for 4 posts (Does not stack). Note that all 4 ghouls always attack the same target.
Boss: Lich- This is the man, or what's left of him, who had come to these places to attempt to defy the cycle of life and death. Due to tampering with Undeath, he has turned himself into a rotting skeleton wrapped in dark robes. He wields powerful destruction magic known as Death Rage which he casts using the artefact staff. (Must be hit with 15 B-ranked spell's worth of damage in order to fall)
Reward:
Legal mages: 50,000 Jewels
Dark Mages: 15,000 Jewels and the Staff of the Undead (Strong+ weapon, looks like this).

(Must be hit with 15 B-ranked spell's worth of damage in order to fall)
- Spells:
- Deathwave (B-rank): The Lich swings his staff forward, making a crescent shape explosion in front of him up to 15 metres. (2 posts cool-down)
Repulse (B-rank): The Lich briefly gathers power in his staff and slams it into the ground, sending a shock wave beneath the surface, thus causing the ground to break up and pieces to be expelled outward damaging anyone around him in a radius of 15 metres and pushing them away. (4 posts cool-down)
Magical Reaver (C-rank): By channelling magic into his staff, he is capable of forming a scythe's blade at its artefact-carrying end, thus making it far more adept at close combat. Furthermore, every time the blade comes into contact with someone's body or magic, it will cause the person to lose a C-ranked spell's worth of magical energy. (Lasts indefinitely, will be used once he receives a total of 4 B-ranked spells' worth of damage)
Decaying Presence (B-ranked): If about to be defeated, the Lich will call upon desperate powers from the underworld to increase all damage he deals by 50% and cause anyone within 35 metres of him to leak 4% magical energy per post. (Lasts indefinitely, will be used once he receives a total of 8 B-ranked spells' worth of damage)
Death's Reach (C-ranked): If a person within the range of Decaying Presence has a medium or greater wound, the Lich can reach out magically and attempt to pull them to himself.
Unstoppable Rage: Impending Death (A-ranked): The Lich extends an arm towards his target. That very moment 5 magic circles appear around him, two to his sides and one above him, and fire an electrical beam of concentrated death at a point just several centimetres away from his arm. The beams converge there and meld into a large orb, from which another much larger and far more powerful beam is fired. While the attack is linear and fairly easy to predict, it gets its cool-down refreshed for every 12% total magical energy leaked from nearby mages as a result of his other spells. (6 posts cool-down)
