With utmost urgency

The golden vixen was currently sitting in the comfort of her new guild, no worries or troubles plaguing her mind for once. Simply relaxing at one of the tables alone, she sat on the bench holding a piece of beef jerky in her hands as she munched on it carefully. There were certainly better items on the menu, but this was her choice for today. Meat. The animal inside of her kinda required it. And it really didn't taste all that bad either, so she was happy with her choice. Which was probably quite apparent to anyone who looked over at her three tails, every single on of them waggling from one side to another happily. When it came to emotions, Eris had hard time concealing them because of things like this.

Her body language was strong and often completely uncontrollable by her. Whether that was a weakness or strength of hers was yet to be decided. But so far, the guild was accepting of her, regardless of her attire, race and even past which was still one big unknown. With a sigh, the girl would place what remained of the jerky back onto the plate which rested silently on the table. Her ears twitched few times in somewhat irritated manner. It seemed that the guild was in some sort of hurry, or rush almost. Was something going on? The girl was still new to this place and quite solitary as of right now. Even though her hearing was naturally enhanced with her fluffy ears, she still picked on very little information as to what was actually going on around her. But she did know one thing, it was nothing pleasant to be stuck in this place when things got so loud.

Presence of the most powerful mage within Fairy Tail was quite reassuring to the vixen. Their relationship was a little strange one, as Eris still wasn't quite sure on how she should feel about this. Her past was all gone, as she one day found herself in the forest that surrounds Magnolia. And that was it. All of it. All of her being. She has power, but is incapable of using magic too. A mystery that not one person so far was able to solve. Perhaps one day, they would be able to uncover the secrets of this golden fox and where she was from exactly. But until then, this was fine. And ever so careful, Eris would nudge towards Hera so that they could be as close as possible.

Soon, the men would arrive at the guild and start seeking them. That was the commotion she was hearing about, but trying to ignore. Too focused on her beef jerky, every single sound was basically going in one ear and leaving through the other. Even as they got close, it was almost as if they were all invisible to the girl. It was wonder that such behaviour didn't anger one of them. Authorities often didn't take kindly to something like that after all. Not that the fox girl could care any less about that. Somehow, she felt as if she scoffed at those in power all her life that she surely had at some point. Though if that was the truth or just a feeling, she did not know.

The only thing that properly got her attention was when Hera suddenly jumped up, making even the vixen jump slightly in her seat, her body moving few good centimeters to the side. Her ears twitched rather rapidly and her tails stopped swaying as they momentarily froze in terror. Though Eris just watched as the pink haired girl returned back to her sitting position instead of actually acting. And once she did, the fox would once again try to nudge herself closer to the other female and her fluffy exceed. Some would maybe think that affection like this was created little too quickly, but Hera was the first one to show kindness to the samurai when she first entered the guild. And that counted for a lot.

The situation progress with time and eventually, Hera would turn toward Eris and address her directly. She asked if they should save this world, or let it burn. The fox's pupils would suddenly shrink in reaction to those words, as something entered her mind. Let it burn?

A world that never accepted us, rejected us and hurt us. Why should we be saving it? We already tried to do so, only to be stabbed in the back by our very team! We sacrificed everything for him and he repaid us by abandoning us! Leaving us alone in that forest,
it was him! Let him burn along with this world!

It was a strong and loud voice of a female, echoing in the girl's mind. Words that were not spoken, yet crystal clear. But Eris shook them, as her head made a nodding motion. And then, without any warning at all, she would leap out of her seat and embrace Hera tightly, her head landing in the pink haired girl's bosom. A comfortable pillow that made the fox smile.

"The world has Hera in it. So I want to save the world."

A simple mind that came up with simple answers and simple solutions. Why deny yourself something that feels good? Why not do something that you think is right? Why not live the way you yourself want? There was never any other way. Before, now and even in the future. Few seconds passed and Eris would loosen her embrace, getting on her own two legs and trying to help her partner up as well, only so that she could press herself against the other girl and embrace her hand with both of hers. At this point, others could not be faulted if they believed that these two were a couple rather than two ordinary mages from a single guild. But that wasn't even the end of things, as the keen vixen quickly noticed something and leaned in even closer. And once again, without any warning, she would start licking Hera's cheek thoroughly without a care in the world. It took a bit, but then she finally pulled back into her previous position of simply clinging to her partner like a needy child.

"Ketchup. Tastes sweet. Hera tastes sweet too though."

Honestly, Eris could not care less what she was doing and in front of who. If it came down to it, she probably wouldn't even have a problem walking around this place without a single piece of cloth covering her. And she would not mind at all how many people would be staring at her and enjoying or be disgusted by the view. That was just the kind of being the girl was right now. And so she did not restrain herself at all when she started licking the other girl affectionately without a care in the world. What was surprising was the fact that Hera actually returned the favor. Perhaps she was thinking that this was just something they did in Joya to bond? Well, it wasn't entirely out of question. The fox samurai still had plenty of her memories missing and who knows what different traditions and instincts she was carrying around without even realizing it. For now, she just chuckled and watched as the poor rune knights nearly died of blood loss right there. At least it would have been with a great view, that surely isn't such a bad way to go. As everything was set, the vixen would jump out of her seat and stretch a little bit. But soon, her hand was grabbed by the pink haired girl and brought to her chest. This was rewarded with a curious gaze from Eris as she listened and then smiled in response. A reassuring smile that was saying everything would be just fine.

"Hera doesn't have to worry at all. Because Hera and Eris are strong together. And Eris will do everything she can to protect Hera too!"

Her expressions were still simple and little childish in the language that was spoken around these parts, but perhaps that added to her charm in some way. In any case, Eris would tighten her hold on Hera's hand, not wanting to let go. Once attached, always attached it seemed. And so they would head out to 'stretch' together, the vixen having the dragon lead the way. She didn't quite understand this at the time, the fact that her friend was probably worried about this whole situation. Eris yet had to experience a proper defeat, the bitter taste of it that you carry with you for a long time. To her, nothing was impossible as of right now. She was just a happy fox girl that wanted to follow the pink haired girl everywhere, even to the end of the world. But in this case, it was just a store with pizza, yet another mysterious food of Earthland that was not dried meat, the girl's usual choice of stuff to eat. She yet had to explore a good chunk of Magnolia still and thus a lot of this was completely new to her. Which distracted her a great deal, making the girl turn around in circles all the time as they stood in the line. Something that eventually gave Hera a perfect chance to deliver her 'attack' that did indeed make Eris jump. But thankfully not that bad, only having her instantly turn toward her friend while pouting because she didn't know what it was for. But before she could repay the favor, a more serious sounding question was directed at her.

"Eris doesn't know. Only memories from me joining the guild and forward are available to me. But Eris knows there is something deep and dark inside of her. It can come out and be mean to people. But Eris would never be mean to Hera, or any other members!"

If that was the answer Hera was looking for, the vixen did not know. She could only answer to the best of her ability, even if that wasn't all that much. And as she tried to sort everything in her head, they would finally be at the counter where her friend got what they came for. The fox girl would trust her judgement and not order anything herself, as she honestly didn't even know what was going on in this store. When she was asked another question by Hera, she would only shake her head dismissively. She saw food of this type around before, but never tasted it herself. So she watched Hera take a bite and try to mimic her, taking one of the slices into her hands and delivering it between her sharp fangs while letting some of the cheese on her chin and cheeks. For a samurai, her coordination with things like this could probably use some improvements. She only stopped when Hera mentioned her swords and then looked into the distance, somewhat sad. Though she stopped eating because of it, Eris did remain silent for a bit. Even as she was called hot and asked if she had her eyes on any boys. She too would look into the distance for a bit, not looking at anything particular. But once her gaze returned back to Hera, she would be smiling.

"Eris has her eyes only on Hera. Because Hera is the pretties lady Eris has ever seen, and the most kind one. That is why we will both return from this mission without a doubt. And then we can have more pizza together!"

Leaving what was rest of the pizza on the table in front of her, the girl would get up and circle around to sit right next to her friend once again. But this time, she would make sure to place one of her hands onto Hera's, attempting to intertwine their fingers together. She would also let her head rest on Hera's shoulder, closing her eyes to rest even for just a tiny bit. A momentary peace that only the pink haired girl could interrupt. But would she? Or would she give in as well. Whichever she would choose, it was alright. Honestly, things were moving very fast. And only few weeks after joining the guild, there was already an emergency like this one. Which was why the vixen wanted to give out all the reassurance she possibly could. She was strong, yes. Not as strong as some other members, but she still believed in her own power. And she wanted to use that power to protect those that were close to her. In this case, the one she wanted to protect was even closer than normally. They wanted to protect each other. And in the end, they surely would. Finally, Eris would open her eyes and try to lick Hera's cheek once again before speaking.

"Eris borrowed a book from the Fairy library. In the book, there was information about skinship, or something like that. When we return, Eris wants to have some skinship with Hera!"

Perhaps it could act as a motivation, or reward that would raise the moral even further beyond the usual limits. And even though the vixen actually didn't quite understand the concept of what she was asking for, she was excited for it and knew that as long as she would get to hang out with her friend, she would have a great time. And perhaps they could invite other members of the guild as well. Though she certainly knew that she preferred the more fair and gentle gender at this point, her feeling screaming out with each step. The only question in the air was - how would Hera react to all of this? Would she reject it all? Or maybe accept it? Or just leave it be for the time being? Whatever the case, the mischievous fox was very much looking forward to seeing her reaction any moment now.
