Kaori: A Strange Occurrence On The Shore: D Rank: Solo: Private

It was a strange day indeed for the masked ninja as she sat atop the tallest building in the village on the eastern sea, at the tallest point of that building. She was facing the coast, watching as the waves came in and settled on the shore; pulling back to the sea and then repeating the process in a vicious, but beautiful cycle. The sea breeze was cool, and the briny smell had little effect on Kaori as it washed over her, enveloping her, embracing her, and making her snow white hair gently flicker behind her. This place was... beautiful to her. It didn't remind her of home, but it had its own natural appeal to it that the masked woman couldn't ignore even if she tried. The town was calm; not many people wanted to rob a fish stall or a small time restaurant so crime wasn't as high here as it was in larger cities like the city of lights on the west coast. Something was off though, and Kaori could feel it in the air. Something was interfering with the balance of the world, and soon, Kaori saw the effects. In the distance she saw a massive creature wash up on shore, a whale. She held her hand up and got ready for her hawk to arrive, grabbing its claw as it shot past and whisked her away. A light tug and a flip put her on its back with her bow already drawn and ready to fire if she saw whoever was causing the issue.

Upon arriving, Kaori saw that several people had already begun moving creatures out to sea; but for some reason, the creatures kept coming back to shore. Something was going on that Kaori was missing, and for now, the only thing she could think of was to put the poor animals out of their misery. Kaori drew her bow and took aim at the whale, imbuing the shot with a lightning enhancement and aiming at a spot in the whale's head were its brain was. Upon firing, the whale's head was encased in electricity and it stopped its flailing and suffering at the same time. Kaori saw a group of sharks that were washed up as well, and she assumed that they were being possessed by the same force that was making the whale beach itself. She had the lava hawk reposition itself and took aim at its eyes, making sure to account for wind and distance. She fired the arrow, sending it straight through each shark's eye and through to its brain; a flawless and merciful death.

Upon landing one of the people trying to save the animals began having a fit and directing her anger at Kaori. Kaori replied not with words, but with a back hand smack to the girl's face and a knee to her ovaries. The girl hit the floor, grabbing her stomach and choking on her own. Kaori walked looked around, trying to find whoever was the source of this madness but found no one. "Damn it." she said under her mask while walking away from the still crying animal lover.
