Then the Mages Arrived

So this is it? Hiro said aloud. The village was nothing big, just a few wooden walls protecting a some homes located inside a canyon. He could hear the screaming of women and children as what he could only presume was the bandits holding them hostage. Bandits. Hiro spat at the thought of it. Though he usually kept his calm and serene nature, bandits just made him lose all form of that.

GL sat upon Hiro's helmet, as he always did. GL, give me a lift. I want to see how many I'm facing here. The paper mache hopped off the helmet and transformed into a pair of beautiful angel wings, hooking themselves into the grooves of Hiro's armor. With a few quick flaps, the samurai was in the air, overlooking the village. The smell of blood filled his nostrils, which meant that there were lots of causalities. I count about thirty.
What about you GL? The wings gave a quick flap in agreement. Alright set me down. It's time to begin. GL slowly lowered him back to the ground, where he then marched to the large wooden gates. I am Hiro Fusano, samurai of time!
Come and fight me you cowards! He unsheathed his sword and held it above his head, to show that he meant business.

One day, Eiji was walking on an abandoned road, all alone contemplating about things, trapped in his own thoughts as always. This was a rare moment - a moment of complete silence, a scenario in which he absolutely adored. This moment of tranquility was ruined as he found himself walking through a village, filled with people when he saw a law enforcement agency, and an old man walking out. He looked away, his body now filled with rage. “Law enforcement agencies are the worst,” he thought to himself, they are hypocrites. “Telling people what and what not to do. If they commit a crime, they are released. See that these people actually comply with the old man’s request. Only money will do the trick!”

As Eiji continued walking away, the old man ran up to him, and said “Young man!” Eiji stopped, and looked at him. “Young man, you have to help me. Please!” Eiji looked at him, and said, “I saw you going out of the law enforcement agency. Let them do their job. Or lack off” He giggled at himself.
The old man responded with a sad tone to himself, “They’ll take a long time. By then it would be too late.” Eiji responded, “No surprise there. I have no interest there”.

“PLEASE!” The old man shouted with desperation. Eiji knew the nature of this guy, he was stubborn, and would not give up. If anything, Eiji knew he would get annoyed by this man if he continued rejecting the old man. Giving in, Eiji asked, “Ok, what is it?” The old man responded, “There’s a group of bandits has taken control of my village, Quanny Village. You must help me! I will give you money.”
Eiji took a moment, and said out loud his thoughts to the old man, “This is one of those things that normally I would not do. These thieves are doing what they want and should be stopped by those strong enough to stop him, out of their own free will. However, knowing this old man will never stop, I must accept. Besides, how bad could it be? Therefore, yes old man, I will help.”

The old man’s face lit up with glee, as he shouted “Oh really! Ok, I will take you to the village”. Complete silence took over them as they walked through the village when he heard someone shout “Come and fight me, you cowards!” Eiji looked at the old man, and asked him quietly, almost whispering, “did you ask someone else to fight?” The old man said, “I don’t know”.

Eiji walked towards the source, finding a man dressing as a samurai. He could see that the man was a mage, a stronger mage than he was, and treaded carefully not to piss this guy off. Reading him, Eiji could sense dark aura surrounding him, giving Eiji the impression that perhaps they would work together since they have similar moral alignments. Eiji asked the man loudly, “And who are you? I am Eiji, and I am here to fight the bandits also. Perhaps, we should work together. Less work for both of us.”

'Monster Dice' :

Hiro slightly jumped at the shouting behind him, and assumed a fighting stance behind him before realizing the man meant no harm. Ah. Greetings. I am Hiro, samurai of time. This small paper figure above is GL They both gave a respectful bow. And yes, I would very much like aid in fighting these bandits. That is if they would let me in! he growled in the direction of the gate. You see, I am a man of patience and virtue, that is unless it comes to bandits. I had overheard one of the bandits during my meditation full of delight that they put this village under lockdown. Knowing the local authorities would take too long in the matter, I took matters into my own hands.

Hiro gave a slight smirk as his sword began to radiate a light blue. Time Stamp!

Time Stamp:

The streak soared towards the door before firmly engraving itself into the wood. Now I will give you until the count of three before I blast upon the door. One. Two...Three! Hiro quickly sheathed his sword as the door exploded within seconds, causing fragments of the door to splinter across the floor. The samurai gave a grin as he stepped forward only to feel something slam into his chest, a magic bullet. Damn! Gunslingers! Hiro grabbed his chest in pain as he stumbled back in pain. GL, search the town for those gunslingers and tell me where they are. We'll handle the rest. Standing up, Hiro walked towards the now blown open gate, where he could see some bandits armed with various weapons. Alright, who's first?

OOC: Sorry for the late post

“You see, I am a man of patience and virtue, that is unless it comes to bandits.” Eiji heard the man before him say, who has introduced himself as Hiro. Eiji introduced himself, “And I, Eiji.” Eiji was kind of surprised, he had thought that this man was cosplaying to be a samurai or something, but it turns out he was kind of legit. Eiji looked at the old man, and said, “Old man, you appear to be telling the truth. Step back old man, I want you to be healthy enough to give me the money.” The old man nodded, to indicate that he understood what was happening, and stepped back.

He looked at the man as he casted a magical spell. He wasn’t surprised at the spells that he had used, Eiji could sense it. It was all a blur as the door exploded, as two men appeared all of a sudden, one moving faster than the other. Typical enemy stuff, one is used for support and one is used for the kill. As they moved, Eiji kneeled, and said “Live” , as a violet magic circle appeared on the ground, summoning a violet crow to appear. The violet crow flew towards the two bandits, as it exploded, causing some damage, defeating these two.

“There are more” He said to Hiro, being able to detect their presence. He continued “But they shouldn’t be too hard. There’s always going to be a boss as well.” Eiji went outside of the building and looked around, surveying the area to see where these bandits could hide.

You're right...I can smell some of their bloodstained clothing, Hiro replied, after witnessing a rather impressive crow summon. The samurai kept pace with the man who called himself Eiji. He could see the various furniture thrown about the street and some blood stains on the housing. A door just in front of them burst open and out ran six men, four of them armed with daggers and two with bronze knuckles.

Hiro's eyes quickly scanned the enemies, wondering how to approach them. There were too many for Time Slices. His eyes then lit up when he thought of his new spell he has yet to use.Time Bomb!

Time Bomb:

The sword impaled itself into one of the large marauders as the momentum forced him to the ground. The other bandits awkwardly stumbled away from the man, exchanging odd glances. All their attention shifted back to Hiro just as a large blue sphere engulfed all the men. An electric storm seemed to rage inside while the men screamed in terror. The ball then exploded as the men flew away from the impact zone. The sword lay impaled on the ground, the bandit it was lodged in completely erased from time.

Hiro's attention turned to Eiji once more. Cover me while I retrieve my sword, as he bolted towards the weapon.

Eiji was surprised when there were six men appearing inside a building right before them. Shocked, he stood still for a while, vulnerable, and if it wasn’t for his companion, Eiji would’ve been in big trouble. Trouble, as in he would’ve been seriously hurt, or worse yet, captured, and then perhaps tortured. An explosion appeared out of nowhere, as Eiji finally got out of his little shock, shaking himself, concentration kicking in, and Eiji looked at Hiro. Hiro said something as he ran after his weapon. Although Eiji didn’t know what he was saying, he knew that without his sword, they both would’ve been in trouble.

As the man ran after his sword, three more men with daggers came out in from the left, as Eiji looked to them, said “Free” out loud urgent, as they approached closer and closer, but lo and behold! a purple magic circle appeared, summoning these violet bullets to appear. Eiji, knowing the full extent of this magic spell being weak, he had hoped that it would cause these bandits to flee as these bullets weren’t enough to stop them. He spread the 10 bullets into 3 of them, unequally distributed, but luckily, they did flee.

Aware of the man on the right, he crouched as someone with a bronze knuckles attempted to punch him. Whilst still crouching down, Eiji punched the man in the gut causing the man to stumble a little bit. Eiji then stood up, ran as fast as he could and punched the man square in the face, causing him to fall. Eiji then kicked the man several times in the gut to make sure he was down.

“You should know, that I am completely done with my spells. I will have to wait for my spells to recharge and will now have to rely on physical attacks. Although I am stronger than average, I cannot fend off these people in groups. For now, my life is in your hands stranger samurai” He said to Hiro.

Hiro removed his sword from the ground and gave Eiji a quick nod. He remembered what it was like to run out of spells so quickly, and sometimes if he's not careful, he still does. Follow me, we're going to need to explore a little more. With his sword still close to his side, they progressed further into the village. He could now see the various villagers cowering in their homes, making sure not to be seen. As the two progressed further, a small group caught his attention. There were five of them, three marauders and two bandits. He could see them haggling and terrorizing what looked to be a woman and child cornered near their home.

HEY! Leave the woman and child alone! Hiro could feel his demon form begin to radiate. This always seemed to happen when he tried to intimate someone. Whether it was good or bad, he couldn't decide.. The bandits began to chuckle at each other and mock the samurai. Time Slices!

Time Slices:

Hiro swung his sword in almost god like reflexes as a small blue wave flew out each swing and slammed into the men. The two bandits were down for the count while the other three stumbled onto one knee. You will leave this place...NOW! His voice took on the deeper form of his demon, as his body now began to radiate a blue aura. The marauders stumbled backwards and quickly ran. The energy from Hiro began to fade as he turned to Eiji. He gave an awkward chuckle and scratched the back of his head. Sorry about that...let's just keep going.
