Sabertooth in: The Musketeers!

Job Details:

The orange sun reflected on the water that surrounded the docks of Minstrel, Mashyuu and Itsu the Sabertooth Wizards sat on a bench watching as a small ship stopped at a large wooden dock and passengers started to walk down the gangplank. Itsu rested her green haired head on Mashyuu's shoulder and pointed to the blonde that was walking off of the ship. "There she is, just like Kite said." Itsu whispered and stood up. She reached up and stretched in her white suit of bone armor. She adjusted the small rams skull that rested on her head like a half helmet and secured her black dagger on the small of her back, making sure the metal cord was wrapped around her right wrist. once it was secure she looked back to Mashyuu who was dusting off his spiked brown and black boots while he went over the details of the two pronged attack job he had to do in his head. The brown haired man gripped his brown martial arts gi and pulled it together tight to make sure that he wouldn't expose the massive sabertooth mark on his chest. The two Olympian team mates walked up to meet with the blonde who stepped off the boat and waved at her. "Celeste right? Sabertooth Wizard? Hi, I'm Mashyuu Earth God Slayer and this is my constant job partner and best friend Itsu. We are your job partners for the time being, please follow me to the meet up spot while I explain what is going on." Mashyuu explained. Itsu hugged Celeste and smiled wide at the younger Mage. "Kite said you had some useful magic. He didn't say you were cute though." Itsu winked and turned to walk with Mashyuu to the center of town where a large wishing well rested. Three women in matching green musketeer uniforms. Each had a blade on one hip and a gun on the other but the beautiful ladies looked different from one another thanks to their three different hair and eye colors.

"Is that Mashyuu!!!" Atma, a red haired Musketeer shouted and ran up to the God Slayer, hugging the large man tight. He blushed and patted her head while looking at everyone else. "Yeah, it's good to see you too. Now can we get down to brass tacks? I don't think Kenna would want me to hit on you without her being here." He joked. Mashyuu had been to Minstrel a few times in the past and had helped the Musketeers out in the past. Once everyone had been introduced to one another Mashyuu sat at the edge of the well and started to explain the job to Celeste. "Here is the deal, a cult leader named Fred is in town to read from a book at a near by church. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but back were we are from, Fiore, he used this same book to force others to follow him by using powerful magic. He had demanded that the Musketeers in Minstrel keep him safe by hiring a group of mercenaries to kidnap Sir Townsend and his family. We are going to split into three units to deal with all these problems. Celeste, you and Itsu will accompany Atma and one of these other beauties in an assault on Sir Townsend's home to save him. In the mean time whoever doesn't attack the mansion will be securing a route to get the family out. While that is going on I will be going to the church to attack Fred and put a stop to him before things get any worse. Any questions?"

Celeste enjoy the open seas, the fresh air blowing in her face flowing her luxurious blonde hair so gracefully, feeling her eternal soul true happiness, even as she saw many others have sea sickness by the moving boat it really don't phase her aside from the slight smell of vomit here and there that would be surely cleaned up by the ship crew. Suddenly a man would alert the passengers that they were heading to Minstrel where she was getting off at to do a mission she had with another member of Sabertooth however she didn't know precisely who it was.

As the boat would come to the docks and let down the wooden platform to the entrance she smiled in delight as she was finally here, Celeste walked off the boat with her original attire on, a pink dress with ruffled ends that stopped at knee level;  she had a yellow ribbon around her waist with the big ribbon on her lower back right at the waist area, she also had a ribbon on her chest well tightened up; on her feet where pink boots she had with yellow stripes that came along the center of her boots to the heel. Celeste would have her blonde hair in a partial pinned bun with the rest hanging down to the middle of her back, she would then get off and held her waist with both her palms looking around for this wizard.

Suddenly two people would be approaching her while waving in which then she immediately knew that those two were the people she was working with, they greeted her quite well in which then she smiled as they came towards her.  As the man spoke she knew this was Mashyuu just by first glance," Yepa yep! I'm Celeste Sway, and Yes I'm a Sabertooth wizard, Nice to meet you both Mashyuu and Itsu!" she'd say with such enthusiasm. As she'd be hugged by Itsu she immediately got surprised for a bit as it was unexpected however she would giggle while hugging her back gently," Oh? Well thank you Itsu, your pretty yourself" she said.

As they walked she wondered where the meeting spot would be, once they got to the center of town by a wishing well she would see three ladies whom seem to kown of Mashyuu already for some reason, possibly they had some past together she didn't know though. It felt as if they were having a mini reunion once one of the musketeers hugged Mashyuu, she would chuckle a bit while having her arms behind her back skipping happily towards the group.

Kenna must've been of some relation to him as he spoken of not flirting with them, she then covered her mouth while giggling a bit more however still trying to be serious for the mission she would straighten herself out. As Celeste listened to the instructions she nodded as she understood perfectly on her end on what to do, she then turned towards Itsu," Guess where partners in our route, it's gonna be great!, Can't wait to see you in action!" she'd say hoping up and down in excitement, she would then turn to one of the musketeers, the one she would was looking at had short blonde hair with red eyes and a tan skin tone," Guess you can accompany us then! What's your name!" she says.

Atha would then smile at the young mage ," It's Atha Sweety, my skills are sword and gun magic, now let's go proceed with the mission shall we?" she says softly. Celeste would then turn around back to Mashyuu," Well once you  triumph over this little preacher will you take the book away and give it to the proper authorities as it seems unsafe to have" she says while swinging her body back and forth in a child like manner.

It seemed everything was set for the most part, they had teams and were set to go but Celeste asked Mashyuu a strange question. What would he do with the book? Mashyuu rubbed the light facial hair on his face that had started to grow a few days ago that he just never got around to shaving. His glowing blue eyes seemed to dance with a sense of humor and he started to laugh. "Ahhahahahahahahaha! No. No. I'm gonna destroy the book and be done with it once and for all." Mashyuu responded to Celeste. "Well ladies, we have a set of jobs to do, lets get moving." Mashyuu ordered, the normally flirtatious man was coming off as stern today but he had a personal issue with the preacher and wanted to make sure the man was behind bars once and for all. Before anyone could give him any grief about the situation Mashyuu exploded into a cloud of sand and let the wind carry him away, leaving the ladies to themselves.

Itsu sighed and placed her left hand to her forehead while looking at her feet. "Damn him.... I guess that makes me the senior Wizard here. Okay ladies lets get going..." Itsu muttered. She could take charge when needed but never really cared to do it. She looked across the wishing well and let her purple eyed gaze wander to a path that led to the Mansion of the Townsend family. The building was two stories tall, gentle slopes adorned its roof and windows seemed to be placed at every other wall. The front doors were guarded by a few men in suits, each was massive and looked like they had at least some magical power to them but Itsu wasn't worried on her end. She did worry for Celeste though. "So we need to get into that building. We can try to sneak or we can just blast our way through, any suggestions?"

As Mashyuu answered her question she actually liked it because if given to the authorities of this magical world who would know what they would've done with it as the book may have a spell of its own trying to manipulate the holder however it was only a theory. Celeste would widen her eyes as she heard his laugh it was internally humourous but she held in her laugh for the sake of being serious for the mission. Before we even knew it Mashyuu would burst like a rocket probably on his way to take down the preacher who’s trying to get the family killed.

Celeste raised her fist in the air in agreement with Itsu," Yeah! Let's do this! Come on!" She said quite filled with such joy in her voice as if she was reborn. She then would looked towards the path that Itsu was looking at in which then she would see the guards at the entrance," Alright we're going to take them on head on, we can't have them alerting anyone if we are inside and possibly make a sound or something so let's go, first we can be a bit stealthy going there but as we get close enough Atha and Atma could use their gun magic to take them out with ease, right?” she says while smiling a bit.

Celeste would glance towards Atha," Can you follow behind me? I'm not sure if you'll need to shot just yet but I am sure that we'll need you" she'd say while running into the path. She would pounce onto a tree watching the guards instinctively peering her eyes through the tree line," Get on the left side off the trees and continue upwards from side to side" she’d whisper to Atha while jumping from tree branch to tree branch. Atha jumped from there towards the left side of the trees where the path stood at the middle going straight for the mansion, she wanted Itsu to follow her on the right side while the other musketeers go on the left side readying themselves for action. Celeste then came close enough where she could see them good enough for an attack, she awaited patiently for the rest of the team to come.

'Monster Dice' :

Itsu giggled at Celeste when pumped her fist while getting excited. It was almost like working with Mashyuu all over again. She smirked and follwed Itsu while the the Musketeers followed slowly behind, for a bit letting Celeste take the lead that was until she jumped into some trees to go over how best to flank the two guards at the door while remaining as hidden as possible first. Itsu glanced at Atma and rolled her eyes. Clearly her time with Mashyuu had rubbed off on her and as such, Itsu had no time to waste with potentially defeating a few foes when she knew she could do it in one shot. Itsu stood still for a moment while Atma drew a rifle off her back and dropped to the ground to steady her aim. Sparks started to fly from Itsu's palms as she pulled them apart and she called out with an echoing voice. "Lighting Lance!" Thunder rolled from her palms and down her body. In a burst of speed Itsu moved like lightning across the path, darted to the left and came around the building to the right. When Itsu came to the right of the building Atma tilted her gun to point at each of the two guards, the rifle on her gun created two red lights. "Tornado Wing." She whispered and fired off a pair of gun shots.

The shots smashed into the knee of each guard, It did nothing at first but then lifted the two men off the ground about a foot when out of nowhere Itsu raced past them, slamming her sparking fist into each of their guts, driving so much air from their bodies that they passed out in the process. Itsu stopped at the left of both men and started to search them for a set of keys or anything that might get the for magic users inside. "Y'all should head to the doors first. I'll stay here and cover you in case anyone spots you through the windows then I'll be right behind ya." Atma called up to the other ladies. When the Mages were all together again Itsu held up a set of keys on a small ring. "Witch key do you think opens the door?" Itsu asked. Atma took the keys and started to fumble through them quickly. "This family is very dear to us, we don't have a lot of time to waist. I'm glad that you are both here but let me and Atha use these keys since we know the way they are coded." She suggested while snapping up a red colored key and unlocking the front two doors.

Celeste then presumed that Atma and Itsu had a plan of there own, as she spotted them from the thick oak wood branch she stood on, she saw Atma preparing to take a shot at the guards however suddenly Celeste felt a pulse of energy being performed. She turned her head to see that Itsu was about to send a attack to the suited guards with a lighting spell in which then she couldn't help it but watch her teammate in action, once sparks formed upon Itsu's palms her hazel eyes sparkled in amazement as lighting would then be produced.

Celeste was then shocked by her speed she acquired with the spell along with the strength as she could easily take out the guards with no problems at all, that was for sure. As she then saw Atma aiming the gun finally staying still, a gunshot sound echoed from their vicinity as the bullet pierced both of the guard’s knees she saw no effect be sent in result however suddenly the two guard’s bodies lifted in which maybe it was a mere bullet capable of distractions to gain the advantage.

Celeste jumped up and down as she saw Itsu punch the guards in the stomach causing them to fall to there knees and soon to the ground becoming unconscious," That was amazing Itsu!" she'd say while front flipping off the branch and into the surface where she then looked up at the two story house. As she would then see that keys were found in one of the guards pockets which possibly were the keys to the house, Itsu didn't know which key to use, Celeste didn't either as she shrugged when Itsu asked which key to use, for a moment Celeste wanted to slice the doors open but she didn't want to damage their home.

 As Atma took the keys from Itsu she watches as the doors would be open with the red key, she found it a bit odd that the keys were colored in such ways but then again this was magical world so it shouldn't be that surprising. The doors were now open, Atha would the get the keys from Atma while opening the door," I'll open any other doors that need to be opened.. shh..we don't want to startle the family" Atha said.

Celeste started to comically tip toe in the house while looking around, it was a decent looking mansion, the living room was down the hall to the right as one could see the burgundy couch with the families black rug under it. Celeste would then look toward Itsu," I'll head upstairs to check up there, Atha you come with me, you guys should stay here and check the rooms that are already open.." she'd say while heading through the living room and tip toeing up the stairs. Atha followed her carefully while looking around making sure that there was no one else through the passing windows they'd go by.

Atma scoffed at her friend when the woman took the keys and said she would open any other doors that needed it. This made her almost angry and it was showing on her beautiful, read headed face. She slowly drew her long rapier and saluted her partner with the weapon then winked at the Sabertooth women. "Then I guess we sneak." Itsu giggled and drew her sharp black dagger off the small of her back while Celeste tip toed into the room and the quad of Wizards looked around. Celeste suggested that the four split up and Itsu's hair stood on end in a way. She wanted to protest the idea for the sake of Celeste but she knew she had to trust her fellow Wizard and guild mate. Sabertooth Wizards were expected to be as effective as ten of any other same ranked magic user. Itsu sighed and looked over at Atha. "Fine, but you better keep her safe. We don't know what we are dealing with here." Itsu pointed her dagger at both the ladies who would be heading upstairs and grinned. "If you get in over your head shout as loud as you can, break glass or anything to get attention and I'll come as fast as I can. That is really fast by the way." When the duo left Atma and Itsu, the girls both looked at one another and frowned. Splitting the party was rarely a great idea but both trusted their partners enough to let them go.

Itsu and Atma turned to the right and started to walk as silently as possible. "If I had my way about this we would be charging this place and taking everyone down right now." Atma grumbled while her heeled boot pressed down on a part of the ground that was raised. She stopped and made a cute "Oops" sound. "Was that a piece of earth?" Itsu asked and Atma nodded her head up and down. "What do you think it means?" But before Itsu could say anything a door on each side of them in the hall opened up and two men in brown robes punched out at them. Two stone fists came soaring at the two ladies, who jumped backwards in time to watch the two stone fists collide and explode, stone fragments pelting the ladies in the cramped hall. Atma raised her blade and took a stance that narrowed her profile so her entire body wasn't exposed to attack while Itsu flipped her dagger in her hand and started to tense her arm up ready to throw the weapon. Things were just starting to heat up for the two...

As Atha and Celeste would be heading up the stairs, using her feet she made a few creaking sounds that the wooden yet polished stairs emitted. Celeste squinted her eyes leaning her head down hoping that she didn't be too loud to an extent that any more enemies would emerge.

She would then take a peek at the top floor,  there was a tan fluffy rug that trailed down the hall with series of closed doors going along both sides of the walls. As she continued on tip toeing she would lean on the wall, Celeste turned her head to see if the close we clear and oddly it was, suddenly she saw a trip wire appearing right at the entrance of the hall which startled her but she closed her mouth and covered it with her palm to not speak yet.

Atha looked in the direction of the stairway as she heard some ruckus downstairs, Itsu and Atma must've been fighting down there most definitely, she could've went down to help but she had to find the family before doing anything. Celeste hazel yet gold eyes peered through side a bit as she saw the door to her right slightly opened for some reason, brown robed men would be pacing back and forth seemingly talking to each other about something as they seemed in constant fear.

One of the brown robed men looked in the direction of Celeste and pointed at her, she would widened her eyes as four of them dashed towards the door opening it while sending a flow of water in her way using a spell. Atha would unleash her long sword holding it with both hands she then got into a crouch stance in front of Celeste blocking their attack," Take them out! Now!" She demanded.

Celeste would then begin to concentrate forming a oozing looking rainbow substance from her palms, she would then inhale and exhale continuing to sustain her focus as in which then the rainbow ooze begun to glow forming into 1.5ft blades in its shape," Holy Aura Blades!" She shouted as she would be done getting them ready. Celeste would then pounce and front flip over Atha as she would be still blocking there water magic, Celeste would then side step from one of the mages heads and sliced one  in the kneecaps as she descended down to the ground.

The brown robed man shouted and cried in utter agony as blood began to drip from his leg, she didn't pay attention to this blood though however she smelled it far too easily that any normal human would. She would then side kick another in the stomach while slashing the same one in the knee caps which resulted to him as well yelling in pain falling to the ground.

Celeste would descend the glow and revert her palms to normal while looking back at Atha," Alright you can handle these two I'm sure" Celeste said while heading to the staircase, she could hear series of crying beings but it sounded fairly innocent, they've been already spotted so going stealth was out of the matter at the moment," Itsu! Atma! I think there up here!" she'd say informing them as she wanted them to hurry. Atha would then push forward with her long sword and burst both of remaining cloaked men thus far to the wall, she then used her palm to chop one of them in the neck causing them to fall to the ground and pass out, she would then use the other side of her long sword and slammed it into the last one's abdomen causing him to fall down as well becoming unconscious, there work so far was done, Atha walked over to the bleed men and tended to their wounds wrapping them up tightly, she would then use her gun to back swipe both of them knocking them out as well.

Itsu had seen Mashyuu fight enough to know how earth magic generally worked, she knew that she would never be able to take Mash due to his versatile magical powers but someone who focused purely on earth magic wouldn't be much of an issue for her. She just needed to wait for her opening and hit the man with her hydro cannon spell. Her eyes narrowed and her hand pulled in then extended, tossing the dagger in her hand straight and true. The earth mage in front of her stomped the ground and created a wall up to his chest level to catch the weapon but that was what Itsu expected. She used the time it took the man to create the wall to run up on the hallways wall and jump past the door frame the Wizard came out of. The metal cable that was hooked to her dagger suddenly went taught when Itsu came off the wall behind the wizard and wrapped the cable around the man's throat. He choked and started to feel his air supply quickly draining. As best as he could, he ended his spell and leaned forward, and threw Itsu over his shoulder. Itsu hit the ground hard and gasped when the Wizard waved his hand and a part of the wall started to rocket down at her. She rolled to the side and swiped her cable, snapping the dagger back to her palm while evading the stone that smashed into the ground. In a quick rising motion she slashed her weapon up, cutting the man's chest while coming to stand on her feet. Itsu sprang backwards and dropped her weapon while pulling her hands back. She created two spheres of water and caused them to twist in her palms. As fast as she could she placed her hands together and shouted. "Torrent Cannon!" A highly pressured blast of water exploded out from Itsu's palms and smashed into the Earth Wizard, washing him into the wall behind the man, knocking him out in a single blow.

At the same time Itsu started to battle Atma made a lunge forward while her sword started to light up. "Rose Thorn!" She commanded as her weapon grazed the shoulder of the Earth Wizard she fought. A moment later hundreds of rose thorns exploded out of the wizards body, sticking out of his flesh and pulsing as if they were feeding on his very life force. The Earth using Wizard stumbled back a pace and created a spear of stone to keep his foe at a distance in the hall. Quickly the two exchanged strikes, both deflecting the others attacks in rapid motions. After the seventh or eighth exchange Atma pulled her hand back and lifted her rapier to rest against her head. "Rose Hurricane." She softly spoke, the thorns that were still sticking out of the man sprouted roses that bloomed and broke off of the thorns, swarming around the man while lighting up. A moment later each rose, easily one hundred, fired off a beam of pink energy at the man, leaving him out cold on the ground with his eyes rolled into the back of his head.

The two ladies regrouped with a satisfied smirk on their faces, making quick work of their foes when Celeste's voice called out to them. "It seems our friends found the way rather quickly, shall we join them?" Atma placed her sword back in the scabbard and ran to join the others up the steps. Itsu followed but wasn't so sure, rarely did things work out so well in the world of magic. Together again Itsu took a look at the area. "You sure this is right? If so lead the way."

It seemed that the job was nearly done, however they would soon have to find out that the mission has potentially just begun in a way. Itsu and Atma must've made quick work of those mages downstairs so as they would come up to see Celeste she would head towards the opened door from where the water mages came from, as she went inside she would see that this was a bedroom.

The room appeared as if a crowd of people raided it for there own pleasure as books would be scattered all on the wooden floor, documents along with photos as well would be on the floor, desk drawers would be opened while some were smashed through; the room's closet filled with clothing were taken off and left on the floor, the curtains seemed to be move out of place. Celeste would then walk over to a mirror that was broken, most likely by those brown cloaked men for sure, she then balled up her fist as she hoped that the family was ok yet seeing this upsetted her inside as it reminded her a bit of her dark past. Celeste would then see that the beds sheets were dragged off oddly as if someone was taken off there bed, she wasn't one to jump to an assumption however it was quite suspicious.

Celeste looked away from the room and walked out the door," Uh yeah, I heard the sound coming from down the hall there" she says while walking down the fluffy white long rug, as she got to the end of the hall she could hear sobbing to her left, once she turned her head there was a door with a grey lock that would be on the knob of the door. She would then attempt to open it shaking the door knob back and forth however it wouldn't budge one bit which annoyed her slightly.

Celeste would look towards Atha in indication that she wanted her to go open the door, by her expression Atha would sprint to the door taking out a gold key as she must've known which key to use, she would put the key inside the key lock and we she begun to turn it screaming could be heard behind the door, as she opened it a little boy and a man would be holding each other terrified as they must've thought that we were those mages. Celeste would wave her hands while shaking her head from side to side walking towards them slowly," No no no don't be afraid, we are Sabertooth wizard's here to help you, do you know where the people who own this house are, it's imperative that we find them so that they can be safe, I assure you that no harm will be inflicted upon you or your son even if you don't know where the any of the family members are" she'd say while giving them a big smile.

The man started to decrease his shaking and stared at Celeste," M..my name's Mendel.. this is my son.. Marcus.. please..we just wanna go home.. those mages kidnapped us because we found this place by accident as we got lost.. we have been here for a few days with no help.. the family who owns this home.. hopefully are here, I heard shouting down under us so maybe there a secret passage in this house or basement they may be in but .I really don't know.." he'd say sounding completely traumatized. Marcus simply would cry while listening to his father, he held him tight hoping that they would be safe but he could only hope as they weren't sure what else lays in this domain.

Celeste would then kneel down towards them both while holding their right hands together," Listen, you two will be fine, you must get out of here now though while the place is quiet, there might be some more of those mages still left to fight.. so come with us and once we hit the entrance I want you two to run as fast as you can through the frontal path of the house, it'll lead you to the docks where someone should be able to help you from there.. take this a get some food" she'd say handing them about 1k jewel. Mendel took the money and was forever grateful to be rescued by Sabertooth, he would now feel confident that he would be ok.

Celeste would then get up while nodding her head at the door as she wanted them to follow them to the door," Atha, take them to the entrance of the house and watch them leave, make sure they leave safely, I don't want them coming with us as they'll only be in the way due to their current state" she'd say while looking towards her. Atha nodded towards Celeste and helped them get up escorting them out the door and down the hall, they would then go down stairs and pass the living room where she would then watch then run for it through the path and get to the docks without any problems at all, Atha then headed back to meet the group again.

Celeste would hold her waist looking at Itsu and Atma," Alright, we stick together from now on, let's check these upstairs rooms then we'll go back downstairs to check to see if any basement or secret passage is down there, stay alert you guys and watch your surroundings" she said sounding like a true leader as she got that kind of self determination from her father. Celeste would then look toward Itsu," you can lead the way to our door searching if you want Itsu" she says as she was a bit careless trying to split them up without even training herself to handle situations as such. As she waited for a response from them she would take the keys from Atha and handed them back to Atma,” Your are Key Holder know” she'd say while giggling a bit.

Itsu frowned when Celeste told her that she thought that there was a noise up top. If she didn't know for sure then she shouldn't have said anything at all, the shouting could have alerted others, not that the fighting hadn't done that already but still. Atma and Itsu watched as Celeste moved in on a family who were screaming and then looked at one another. They broke away and grabbed up the bodies of the defeated Wizards and dragged them into the room where the family was while the father and son escaped. Itsu locked the Wizards into the room and grabbed up a curtain, wrapping the door knob to a different door so even if they managed to pick the lock the door wouldn't open.

Atma took the keys and twirled them around her finger lazily. "I guess.... I was wondering though, Celeste..." Itsu cut her off before Atma could ask her question. "What sort of magic do you use Celeste? We should know so we can figure out how to best utilize one another's strengths and weaknesses." The pair waited for Celeste to explain her magic and thought for a moment. "Hmm by that logic then maybe you should keep back and run support power for us in case we get ambushed and let the rest of us deal with the heavy lifting. Any objections?" Atma asked. "You should ask Mashyuu to teach you some offensive attacks and maybe a few defensive spells too." Itsu suggested.

Once a tactic was agreed upon the group moved out again but instead of searching the rest of the up stairs first Itsu headed down. "We should work from the bottom up, there is no way anyone is getting out of the house from up above unless they decide to jump out of the windows or are running down the steps and out a door. When I ran around the building I didn't see any back door with steps. A sliding door but it was blocked off by a bunch of wooden slates or something." Itsu went on while she stalked down the stairs, flipping her dagger in her palm lazily.

Back on the ground floor Itsu and Atma took stock of the situation. "Where do you think we should start the search?" Itsu asked. Atma held her chin for a moment and thought while looking at the keys she had on her finger. "I guess we start at the first locked door and work our way around." She muttered. Itsu nodded and started to the left, checking door after door. Eventually the team came to a large set of double doors with sound coming from behind the door way. Itsu pressed her ear to the wooden door and listened carefully. "Sounds like four men, each of them talking about a monster or beast they are trying to summon. Atma, get the door and be ready to strike." Itsu informed the ladies.

Atma walked up with a pistol drawn and a single blue key in the other hand. Slowly she unlocked the door and Itsu pushed the large doors open and sprang into the room. The massive room was clearly a common area where the family would meet. A large sofa of red leather rested in the center of the room with an oak table a foot or so in front of it. Each corner held a large statue that could be mistaken for a real soldier and book shelves lined the walls. If there was going to be a secret passage it would be in this room, but first the team of heroic Wizards would have to deal with the four Summoning mages standing slack jawed with shock.

Kanrya was slightly irritated that Kite had called her into his office and sent her to trail after Mashyuu and this new chick. Don't get her wrong or anything, she was thrilled that she was finally traveling outside of Fiore. A chance to stretch her legs and use that passport that she waited so long to get. She just didn't want a babysitting mission for the new girl.

But that was long behind her now. She wandered towards the location of a meeting place where she was to meet a Musketeer. Reading back on the poster, this was to be a rescue mission of sorts. The Musketeers were official wizards that mostly were proficient with sword and or gun magic, sometimes even both. She couldn't help but grin. She would fit right in with them. Feeling the weight of Athena and Morrigan on her hips as well as the familiar weight of Nyx and Skadi under her coat. Well she was ready to rock and roll at least.

She looked around the area where she just happened to stop. Yeah, this seemed like the right area... however, no Mashyuu or the new chick. She sighed softly exasperated. Of course Mash-san was either flirting while on the job or they hadn't gotten the message that Kite was sending her. "Right... So I thought someone was supposed to meet us." She couldn't help but mutter this.

"You must be the third Sabertooth member we were sent to meet." A smoky voice broke through her thoughts.

Kanrya couldn't help but whirl around a hand going to draw Athena, mentally cursing for letting someone sneak up on her. Shit!

However who she found was a brunette chuckling at her reaction, her hands in a gesture meaning that she meant no harm. "You're a scrappy one, aren'tcha? No matter, your friends went on ahead." She offered as an explanation.

"Guess that sounds like Mash-san. Do you know where they're heading? Most what I know is that we are supposed to defeat wizards that are holding a family hostage yeah?" Kanrya put Athena back into its holster and crossed her arms as she looked the brunette over.

"That's right. The Townsend family is very influential here in Minstrel, we don't know what these dark wizards want other than the million jewel they are asking for, but if they don't get it will likely spell the end for the family." The brunette said as she motioned for Kanrya to follow her.

"My name is Portha, little tiger I'll be by your side during this." The brunette finally introduced herself and it had Kanrya chuckling just a little.

"I'm Kanrya Zura, but i like the title of little tiger. It seems to fit." Kanrya grinned at Portha as they finally reached the mansion of the Townsends. She shimmied up a tree noting that Portha was right behind her. "It's safe to surmise that Mash-san and the new girl are already at it inside. I'd prefer the stealth road but, it's up for grabs. Stealth or announce ourselves and get people killed..." A frown showed on her face and Portha nodded. "Stealth it is then. Knock out a group and be as quiet as possible."

Kanrya and Portha made their way in a window on the lower level, Kanrya quietly drew both Nyx and Skadi, certain that she could freeze any being that they ran across inside.

Itsu and Atma entered the room with Celeste and her partner behind, for a quick moment the conjuring Wizards looked at the women with shock then collected their wits and aimed weapons at the ladies, fours staffs pointed towards the group of Sabers and Musketeers before rays of energy fired out of the staffs. Itsu and Atma ducked but Celeste and her friend took four blasts to the chest, knocking them out in a single instant. Itsu glanced over her shoulder and swore under her breath. "Shit, they didn't have their wits enough to expect an attack. Looks like its us versus them now. Two each." Atma didn't say a word but instead stood up and fired her pistol, sending a single round into the staff of one Wizard, breaking it on impact. Itsu joined in by launching her dagger out and tugging, snagging the thing tied to a cable of steel against the staff of the closest dark Wizard. She tugged hard and pulled the weapon from his grip. While it soared towards Itsu, she let the cable unwind from the staff and lifted her leg to kick the thing back into the dark Wizards face hard. The wooden shaft smashed into the man's face and caused him to shriek with the sudden pain that ripped through his face. He clutched his nose and fell to a knee all while Itsu and Atma entered the room and shut the doors behind them to keep the downed Wizards from becoming targets.

The ground lit up with four circles as a living form of each of the major elements appeared in the room. Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind. Itsu frowned and gripped her dagger carefully, almost praying to it. "If ever I've needed you guys to come out when you weren't supposed to its now." Itsu held her dagger out, blade facing the ground as she spoke. "Defend your mistress one last time. I command you. Hewy, Dewy, Luey!" For a moment nothing happened and the summoning Wizards started to laugh. Then the blade lit up with a bright red light and pulsed with energy. Three Skeletal soldiers appeared before Itsu, each wearing a cocky grin while hoisting a great sword each. "What the hell are those!?" Atma shouted. Itsu winked and gave a thumbs up to Atma and replied. "Every good Wizard has a trump card. These are mine. Now my friends take these guys down!" The three skeletal warriors saluted then took a fighting stance and charged the Earth Elemental. Itsu ran at their side and broke away to face the fire monster. Her palms moved together as magical power washed over her hands and water formed around them. "Torrent Cannon!" She shouted, then extended her hands forward, launching a blast of magical water into the fire elemental, destroying it in a single blast.

The Skeleton's moved as a single unit. One swept it's sword low, clanging steel against stone, chipping away at the earthen beast while the other two used the flats of their weapons to block a strike made by each fist of the golem. At the same time all three skeletons pulled their weapons back and stabbed forward, driving their massive swords through the Golem then ripped their blades in different directions, splitting the monster into small pieces. At the same time Atma was battling two wizards, her rapier jabbed out rapidly to keep one at bay while her pistol steadied and trained on one target, a small beam of light appearing on his head. "Okay, all systems are go. Drill Driver! Firefly!" She shouted. Her rapier left her hand and conjured four more blades that all drove into one Wizard's knees while her pistol fired off ten shots that swarmed another Wizard and lit him on fire. Both Wizards hit the ground leaving only two left...

Kanrya had finally made it inside the house itself when she heard the crashing and shots that were fired. "Starting the party without me neh? So cruel... She turned back to check on Portha and grinned as she looked through the upper rooms nearby. Noticing the unlocked doors she and Portha followed bits of the path that both Itsu and Celeste had made.

Kanrya had a bit of an grumpy look on her face as she snuck around the mansion while attempting to look for her supposed teammates, stepping over the bodies of Earth mages, keeping an eye out for any other mages that might show themselves.

She happened to look over at Portha and noticed that the woman had both a short sword and a pistol drawn. Was she skilled in both. Kanrya mentally shrugged figuring that it was none of her business and rather impressive to boot. Despite being gifted in her magic, Kanrya was technically new to it all.

They continued on finally spotting the group doing battle against what looked like summoning wizards. Great they're too far away! We won't get there in time! Kanrya gritted her teeth and ran towards the wizards...

Nearly skidding to a halt when the chick wearing a skull summoned three skeletons on her own and practically demolished the other wizards while the musketeer with her fired shots taking out the rest of the wizards.

"Damn next time there's this kind of excitement in a foreign country call me in." Kanrya couldn't help but chuckle. "Seriously hurt that the party is half over man. Nice job with the Earth wizards. Who did that?" She asked as she walked towards the skull chick.

Portha grinned proudly at Atma. "Looks like that feeling I had earlier about another one coming turned out right after all. The little tiger looked a little miffed about being ordered here to help."

Kanrya grinned sheepishly. "Okay traitor. I figured Mashyuu would have this job in the bag and I didn't think he needed my help to look out for some chick."

As she laughed nervously, the wind picked up around the small group, earning a small frown as she placed a hand on the stock of Athena and Nyx...

At least she was going to draw them until a blast of wind sent her crashing into the wall, almost like someone had pushed her into it with force. "Damn..." She whimpered hoping her nose hadn't broken from the impact.

Kanrya really was not impressed and managed to turn herself around on the wall, just in time to see the two wind-make wizards walk into the room. Mentally cursing herself for not having an ability that might work on these mages, she managed to squeeze off a few gun magic shots, nothing really special like Blizzard bullet but she was hoping to at least wing one of these jerks.

Portha sprang into action as well, firing her gun and thrust her short sword at one of the wizards only for him to put up a wind barrier to block her attack.

Before Itsu and Atma could finish off the last two summoning Wizards the doors behind them were forced open and another musketeer along with a woman Itsu had never seen before entered the room going on and on about how Itsu and Atma had managed to take down the Dark Wizards, completely distracting everyone from the fight at hand. The two still standing summoning Wizards used the distraction to slip away while two wind Wizards entered the room on the first floor, not the second and attacked, sending Kanrya into the wall that seemed to stretch out behind her just to catch her as hard as possible. Itsu twisted around to glare at the two Wizards white Atma holstered her weapon and gave her rapier a series of quick swings, drawing a set of roses in the air. "Great! The Summoners got away, now the Townsend's are surely dead! Good job!" Itsu glared at the rookie Wizard and sighed then pointed at one of the Wind Wizards. "Boys, take care of that one. Atma, drag Celeste and your friend to the front door and leave them outside so they don't get captured. New girl, take the other Wind Wizard and have your friend watch our six so that we don't get attacked by any more Wizards!" Itsu shouted out to show how annoyed she was with the entire situation, simply wanting to end this job as quick as she could. The three skeletal fighters glared at a single Wind Wizard and charged the man who was floating on air just a few feet off the ground. Itsu pulled her hand back and launched a blast of water right over the man's head to force him down. As he touched down the three Skeleton's jabbed their weapons into his legs, cutting his limbs with a series of two strikes each.

The Wind Wizard fell to his hands and knees, taking in deep breaths of air to try to ease the pain when suddenly a metal wire wrapped around his neck and Itsu pulled up on the cable. "This room is sealed off. That means you came through a secret passage considering your friends vanished from here... Now why don't you tell me how you got in here before I cut your damned head off!" Itsu spat out and yanked up on the cable, cutting air off from the Wizard until his hand weakly lifted to point at a bookshelf. Itsu followed the Wizards hand with her eyes and slammed the butt of her dagger down on the back of the mans neck, knocking him out cold. Once the last Wizard was dealt with she looked at the new girl and paced her head in her hand. "God, Mashyuu isn't going to like that there is another low ranked Wizard here. If he knew that then he wouldn't have gone off alone to deal with Father Fred. Mmmmm okay. What is your name now?" Itsu asked Kanrya while looking at the bookshelf for a way to get past it.

Kanrya felt a bit of shame as the Skull chick glared at her. Apparently she had interrupted the fight between them and the last two summoner mages. She struggled as she aimed at the Wind wizard that had pinned her to the wall as she listened to the Skull girl order those in the room around.

As Itsu set the skeletons on one of the Wind wizards, she spared a glance at Celeste wincing as she saw the blows that she had taken. That could be her one of these days if her acrobatics didn't get her out of danger one of these days. She heard Itsu finally tell her to take care of the other wind wizard and grimaced. "Already on top of that...Angel's Wrath..." She muttered as she fired Athena, sending multiple colored lights piercing the wind wizard who had pinned her. She was glad that it was enough to distract them, dropping her from her pinned spot. She ran towards the wind wizard, switching Nyx with Skadi and firing an ice bullet freezing the said wind wizard in place.

Making sure that the wizard was frozen for the time being, Kanrya looked over at Portha seeing that she had their backs in the fight and so that they would be attacked by any other wizards. It was at that point that Kanrya wished she had a weapon that didn't necessarily trap but rather kill the offending wizard. Seeing another low level wizard that had fallen like that because Kanrya hadn't moved fast enough to find both Mash and her. She saw red for a second before she grabbed something heavy and was going to smash it into the frozen wizard before Portha stopped her and pistol whipped the wind wizard as soon as their head was unfrozen, knocking the wizard unconscious.

She barely heard her companion beat the other wind wizard for information, her blood was boiling with mixed emotions and she was glad that Portha was watching their backs. She snapped out of her thoughts as Itsu griped that Mashyuu wouldn't like another low level wizard getting into the mix. With that she had to agree. Mash was notoriously picky about being protective. Too bad that she had grown up for the most part without that protective instinct around.

Kanrya turned and looked at Itsu as she asked what her name was. "My name is Kanrya Zura." She replied as she moved towards Itsu perusing the bookshelf herself. "For the record, I didn't choose to come, I was sent by Kite-san. He seemed to think I could handle myself, As for Mash, Never got the pleasure to work with him yet," She paused semi confused thinking that there may be a trick to this that Portha might know. "Yet Mash seems to trust me enough to let me take care of myself. Hey Portha, you've been here before right? any idea which book might be the trigger?" She called over her shoulder looking a little more closely for signs of dust that may signify a book being pulled out of place.

"Well Kanrya, I'm Itsu and if you think Mashyuu trusts anyone in any guild to take care of themselves you clearly don't know him. Hell I'm surprised he trusted me to take command here while he is out dealing with the Priest leading this group. Time is running out and we need to figure this stupid book shelf out because the other rooms all lead to dead ends." Itsu chimed in. Her long fingers strumming the spines of the books as she released an annoyed sigh. At least Celeste and the Musketeer that Itsu had forgotten the name of would be okay for the most part. "Hey boys, do you mind destroying this book shelf? We need to get past it but can't find the switch to move the thing." Itsu's three skeletal soldiers walked up to her and aimed their weapons at the wooden shelf then gave a single mighty swing of their weapons, crushing and cleaving through the shelf with what seemed like no effort whatsoever. Itsu smiled wide and nodded her satisfaction while she put her hands on her shapely hips and winked at Kanrya. "These men know their place in life eh?" She joked and pointed her thumb towards a metal door that was behind the ruined book shelf. "Ladies if you don't mind, I'd like to take point on this one since one of you is a gun woman and Itsu you are clearly a little upset. I think a clear mind might help us all out." Atma explained.

Itsu gave one look to Celeste to see if there would be any objection and followed suit. It was true that the green haired woman could use a bit of a break in order to calm down and not kill someone that shouldn't have been hurt thus she was fine with taking a back seat for a bit, plus Atma was just as skilled as Itsu was or so it seemed. Atma placed her hand on the metal door and pushed it open slowly, letting the squeaking metal sound echo down a large hallway. The sound alone was enough to make Itsu cringe and glance over her shoulder. "Mashyuu was only going to take out their leader, I hope he's okay. None of this should be beyond him in theory. I hope the guy didn't have someone more capable than Mash with him. Maybe I should have gone with the big guy..." Itsu whispered sadly. It was then that she put her attention back to Kanrya and clasped the woman's shoulder. "Sorry about snapping earlier, heat of the moment took over and I wasn't sure if you were a friend or foe at first. Kite shouldn't have sent you here but I don't think he knows what we are up against completely. So are those guns you magic or just some spare weapons you carry with you?" Itsu asked as the women and the skeletons made their way down the dark halls, seemingly lost in the maze.

Kanrya frowned silently as the woman in front of her continued perusing the bookshelf as she talked about how Mashyuu didn't really trust anyone to take care of themselves. While it was true that she had just joined the guild, she wasn't some pampered little rich kid. She had ran in a gang of kids on the streets. It was true she didn't start on her magic until later on, but she had practiced with a slingshot. It wasn't until the person she started working for in the shops had seen her knock down a box with a well placed shot that she had started learning magic and eventually jumped to guns.

She crossed her arms while thinking back to those harder times. She snapped back to reality when Itsu ordered the skeletons to destroy the bookshelf, watching as the weapons hit both book and shelf alike. Books were excellent learning material! She prayed that they weren't extremely expensive or rare because if they were and if they were hit with damage expenses...

She cried silently to herself as Itsu joked about how the skeleton males knew their place in life. "I wouldn't know. I've mostly fought just to stay alive, not to have a relationship with the opposite sex. " She ran a hand through her ponytail as Atma approached suggesting that Atma herself should take point from then on. Kanrya shrugged as Atma explained why. "Perfectly fine with that. As long as we save the ones that need saving."

She looked back towards the knocked out Celeste grimicing. While it was true she didn't know the girl all that well, she was apart of Sabertooth. She was a fellow mage and had been knocked out before Kanrya could be of much help. Maybe this was the reason why Kite had been adament about sending her to back Mashyuu up. He was a higher level but even then these bastards could get the drop on him.

"Like you said Mashyuu is a powerhouse in his own right. But it only takes a lucky hit or two to knock someone down and he could be put into a vulnerable spot. Our best chance is to power through and take these dark wizards out before they have a chance." She said finally agreeing with Itsu. She felt Itsu's hand on her shoulder and smiled ruefully. "You care about the man, no harm no foul." She said trying to sound comforting.

As for the question about the guns she carried she couldn't help but chuckle softly. "Ah, yeah my magic has to do with guns. That's what Angel's Wrath was about. I've found that sitting in one position doesn't help much if the ones you fight are coming after you and are skilled in much more deadlier attacks." She replied making sure to have at least Nyx in hand if there was a surprise attack. "I trained in a way to fire off shots while moving defensively. Harder to hit equals living til I'm grey so to speak."  She caressed the stock of one of her guns. They keep me in working order, and I show them the same respect."

She wasn't sure if Itsu really understood what she was saying but she was fond of each gun she had. They provided a support for her. Much like her violin had supported for her when stealing as a child hadn't been enough.

She kept an eye out for any attacks that might happen until she spotted the door at the end of the hall, she kept Nyx and one of her other guns close as she snuck up towards the door looking through the cracks in the hidden door, she noticed the lead guy threatening the father of the family. She couldn't exactly catch what was being said but the boss was pissed.

"Found the boss Itsu. What should we do?" She asked quietly.

"Ever watch someone punch a brick wall? See how it doesn't move. Anyone hitting Mashyuu from any side would be like running head first into that brick wall as hard as they could. That person would drop before Mashyuu ever noticed what happened." Itsu shot back at the woman with guns. Atma looked back at the pair and lifted her hand. "Both of you shut up. There are voices coming from up ahead." She warned the women. A moment later Kanrya said something about the boss of the thugs up ahead in a safe room. "What's he look like? I can't see from behind you two! Get in there and take him down!" Itsu ordered the others while she clutched her dagger, ready to attack if the chance sprang up but not with being stuck behind the others.

From across the city, Mashyuu jumped out of the window of the church, glass shattered while gunshots rang out behind the God Slayer. He hit the grassy ground and rolled forward. In one hand was a long katana in a red scabbard. He flipped the weapon to rest against his shoulder and glanced back at the Musketeers who were supposed to be guarding Fred, the defeated Cult leader who was now hidden in the basement until the Magic council could come to collect him. "Sorry guys, but you're no match for me. I'm clearly the strongest Wizard in this land. Your spells could never rip through my defenses." He joked while standing up straight and waving at the men with pistols all shooting and nearly hitting him but missing none the less. With a quick turn on his heels Mashyuu twisted around and darted off into the distance, headed for the manor that Itsu, Celeste and Kenna were fighting in...

As Itsu described someone hitting Mashyuu from any side to be akin to running head first into a brick wall she winced inwardly. Was Mashyuu really that much of a powerhouse? He must be because of his higher level. When she had been hit by the golem while on a job with Itori she was sore for almost a complete week.

"Both of you shut up. There are voices coming from up ahead." A slight pinch of irritation to that. Call it a long standing opposition to authority or the reaction of someone who lived on the streets; she hated being ordered around.

The boss of the thugs was tall for a man. His black hair had a greasy look to it as he threatened the family in front of him. She couldn't really get a better look at his face, but the sight of him unnerved her. The father was begging for leniency and a little more time so that the demands could be met. The boss was getting a darker vibe as the father continued to plead and Kanrya could feel the darkness emanating from him. If this is what the dark guilds do...I rather spend my life fighting against them then join them. She thought and readied her pistols, glancing down to make sure that Nyx and Skadi were in hand, before listening to Itsu's order to 'get in there and take him down.'

Kanrya kicked open the door and encased the bosses hand in an ice bullet as she used a dark bullet on the room to confuse the dark mages before tugging the father and his family back from the boss putting herself between the family and the dark wizards. She grinned darkly as she glared daggers at the wizards before casting "Bullet Blizzard", the attack creating a massive blizzard causing minimal damage. "Sorry, I'm not about to let a family die when I can be of some use to stop it." She said before calling out, "Dark Clone", her clothing switching to an almost Egyptian-style. A clone stepped out wearing the exact thing and launched an assault of kicks and punches even going so far as to sweep the legs out from under the boss.

While her clone provided a distraction she looked over her shoulder at Atma and Portha. "Get the family out of here to a safe location. Itsu and I should be able to take care for the boss and his remaining trolls." She offered a half smile as if to give comfort to the family. "Now go! Once they are safe come back and help finish this party out."

As the family moved towards the door the boss teleported in front of it blocking them. "Bastard your fight is with me!" She yelled and shot an ice bullet which he promptly teleported out of the way from.

"Tch...They sent a weakling to defeat me?" He smirked and focused on Kanrya. Kanrya saw the smirk on the boss's face and felt the confidence that she could do this on her own drop. She mustered as much as she could and glared. "I'm not a weakling! But I'll gladly kick your ass!"

"We'll see..."

Kanrya really didn't like the way he was looking at her nor the way he suddenly disappeared only to have him strike her in the back with his left foot in a kick. Kanrya stumbled forward trying to keep her balance and tucked into a roll and sprang back up returning Skadi to its holster and drawing Athena only to find the boss disappeared again.

"Neh...Where'd he go?" She asked before she looked up and leapt out of the way of a large desk that fell from the ceiling. So he was being childish and using his power to try and pin her to kill her at a later time.

It went on like this for quite some time, he would attack and she would dodge, only for her to attack him and he would teleport out of the way. She was finally able to block at least a few of his punches and kicks, even getting a few lucky hits in. It was when the boss toppled a bookshelf on top of her pinning her ankles. Strength was never her strong suit so lifting it off of herself was a chore, it was made doubly hard when she was the boss's scuffed leather shoes. This...isn't going to be pleasant. Kanrya thought dimly before he kicked her hard in the stomach. Feeling him kick her several more times in the ribs, only to drag her out from under the shelf and beat her like a glorified punching bag. Kanrya's lungs screamed for air as she struggled for a breath. Surely her ribs were broken yet again. Great. It's going to take forever just to heal from this...

She couldn't help but chuckle. "I must have really pissed you off you moron." She grinned even though she was in pain and the boss was holding her around the throat. Feeling his grip tighten, she clawed at his hand with both of hers. "Such bravery from one about to die..." She heard the boss say, the cold monotone of boredom, it scared her if just for a second. "First you will die little kitten, then your friends, then I will murder the family you so bravely put you life on the line for." This had Kanrya clawing at the boss's hand with renewed vigor before he punched her in the face, making her settle down. Bastard broke my nose! That's gonna be a bitch to heal. She thought praying that Itsu would be able to kick this guy's ass, or at least Mashyuu's swift return.

Just as she was losing consciousness the boss dropped her, whether it was her prayers that Itsu attacked, or whether it was because Mashyuu had arrived, she didn't know but she inhaled sharply followed by her coughing due to the mistake made and her broken ribs. "At-Athena..." She ground out reaching for her gun remembering that it could heal.

Everything happened so fast, before Itsu had time to join Kanrya in the battle with the sleazy boss of the gang more thugs came in from the tunnel behind them. Her skeletons raced to do battle and Itsu followed to make sure they were okay, then the musketeers raced past her with the hostages and Kanrya was on the ground, nearly dead. That was when the familiar voice called out, a saving grace as a katana fell at Itsu's feet. She picked it up and felt the magic flow from the weapon, as she carved the heated blade through the arm of an earth using Wizard, severing his connection to the element he used.

"Light Dragon's Domain: Transition!" Mashyuu shouted. From his chest a massive blue field erupted from his body, stretching down the hall and the small room Kanrya was in, and then some. Instantly the teleporting boss and Mashyuu traded places so that the massive God Slayer was standing at Kanrya's side as she hit the ground hard. He glanced down at her, glowing blue eyes narrowed at the woman's folly. "Hey rookie. You should stay in the back if you can't take a few hits. Besides how much time do you have to aim that close to someone with a gun? Get up. Light Dragon's Favor." He cast a spell at Kanrya that surrounded her with thousands of small dragons made of solid light. In an instant the light faded away, and took the wounds off her completely, the high powered spell removing all of the pain from her body.

Slowly Mashyuu stalked down the hall towards the teleporting Wizard while Mashyuu spread his arms wide open as if daring the man to attack. "You have one shot to hit me as hard as you can. But if you fail to beat me, you won't get the chance to hit me again. Do you know why? It's because my body is like Quicksilver!" Mashyuu shouted, slyly casting a spell from his brown gi that washed his body in a silver flexible metal. The cocky teleporting Wizard vanished and appeared behind Mashyuu, sending a strike at the back of the Slayers head that deal no damage to the brown haired man, instead the strike was deflected back at him. The dark mage staggered backwards and went wide eyed when he heard Mashyuu cast an offensive spell. "Earth Gods Barrage!" Hundreds of stone fists shot up out of the ground, surrounding Mashyuu completely while lashing out fifty meters out, driving the teleporting wizard back into the room that he was in when Kanrya found him and half way into the wall next to her, leaving a crater where the dark Wizard was dug into, out cold..."So, is anyone else hungry? Dinner on the boat sound good to you guys?" Mashyuu asked, the job complete.

Kanrya wanted to answer him with a snappy comeback on how she usually handle chump change villains, but at the moment she was holding her neck and struggling to breathe with her ribs threatening to puncture her lungs. But that was after the little light dragons surrounded her and suddenly breathing didn't hurt nearly as bad, nor was her nose throbbing with a dull ache. Wiping the leftover blood that had dribbled down from her nose, she struggled to her feet while watching Mashyuu walk towards the scumbag that had beat her within an inch of her life.

Kanrya belatedly remembered that since Mashyuu's magic had to deal with earth magic and apparently that had to deal with metals as well. She nearly shouted a warning to Mashyuu that the scumbag had teleported behind him only to watch the strike to the back of Mashyuu's head glanced off without damage. She nearly felt her jaw drop seeing that Itsu was right about Mash. He could handle himself in this kind of fight. In fact, she would have to bitch at Kite for sending her as back up because Mashyuu clearly didn't need her to help fight his battles.

The next thing she saw was the scum bag hurtling towards her, after being hit by Mashyuu's Earth god barrage. She dodged out of the way just in time and peaked through the hole in the wall next to her, only to spot the wizard in a crater, knocked out and oblivious to anything and everything. "So, is anyone else hungry? Dinner on the boat sound good to you guys?"

At this she had to sweatdrop. He wasn't going to ask about why she was encroaching on his job? Just an 'Is anyone hungry?' Well, she figured once Celeste was healed, even if she was still alive that is; she would likely get chewed out by him on the way back to Fiore and the Sabertooth guild hall.

Ah, she likely deserved it. she did come into this mission half-cocked and guns blazing trying to show off her worth to someone who was much more important to the guild than she was. It would be a while before she could truly impress anyone in the guild. "Yeah I could probably go for a bite to eat. I'm pretty sure you're also wondering why I'm here also." She said in a sheepish manner, holstering Athena and Nyx, the Egyptian-styled outfit finally disappearing and being replaced by her ordinary jeans, t shirt, and trench coat before even walking towards Mashyuu.

She still hadn't adjusted to being in a guild yet and was half expecting some kind of retribution for being stupid enough to get her ass beat. When she had been younger, getting caught on the street meant being beat because you were either to slow or stupid enough to get caught. Living with the shopkeeper when she had been taken off the street...he didn't hurt her or nothing... anything she mentally corrected herself, but rather he'd been firm in her learning how to talk like she wasn't a street rat, how to read and other meticulous, dull things.

However, Kanrya really didn't know how Mashyuu was going to react to Kite ordering her here to help but she figured she'd give him the run down at a later time. Preferably after the food the noise of her rumbling stomach escaping when Portha clapped her on the back. "You did all right kid especially for a wizard still proverbially wet behind the ears. A few more dangerous jobs and you'll be cured of your recklessness." Kanrya laughed nervously at that, twinges of guilt that she could have made things much more worse for the family. Kanrya made a mental note there and then to check up on Celeste, at least when she was able to. Being struck the way she had, it'd be a miracle if she pulled through. "Hey Portha, the family made it out alright didn't they?" She asked only to be answered by a nod of Portha's head. "Good."
