Post by Mura Kensho 23rd March 2017, 9:19 am

    Job Info:
Some shrubbery covered the arrival of the young priest of nature, if he had to give himself a title by his second power. For some reason, the symbols on his palms appeared despite no flows of magic being unleashed at the moment, but simply because of the atmosphere. He found himself approaching what looked like ruins afar, but appeared to be way more living… or rather, unliving when getting closer. It normally gave Mura the chills, which the samurai ghost could definitely expect from the rather easy-going samurai, living samurai. “W-Woah…” the ghost let out in surprise. Apparently, Mura was showing any interest in the gloomy atmosphere but with eyes nailed at the objective. “According to the… ehh…” He began clenching the job paper a little, despising every inch of its structure. Why, with all reasons in the world, would the writer do poetry? It was like giving Mura a piece of melted stone on his right hand, along with a poisonous cactus - let’s say that it’s poisoned by Morphius, shall we - on his left hand, telling him to go and finish the job while still having these two items in his possession when he would return. It was straight-out irritating, annoying, causing him to forget what he was about to let out…

Putting the job paper into his pocket, away from eyesight, he focused on the large area; the previous guild which held its base here was having quite the fate. Turning into the ruins that he looked at now, the ghost mage felt anxious… he couldn’t begin to imagine the torment that the guild members had felt back then. It must’ve been a fatally wicked fate for them. “… I get what you feel, Mura,” the ghost samurai commented, “but take your time dwelling in thoughts. You might get busy when you enter… who knows what kinds of wicked things that are hidden behind these walls?” The Onmyōji nodded quickly and spoke up to share his thoughts: “I just… it must’ve been a crazy event. Turning into mere cracks of time like this… I feel kind of bad for them.” He slowly lifted his head up to the top of the guild’s ruins, focusing on the very tip that touches the atmospheric light, “Hmm… we should get started, then. The enemy could be hiding anywhere.” He quickly adjusted the sheathed katana on his back, while folding out the short cloak that only reached down to his belly. He actually began putting on his headphones and used his gauntlet to turn on some good-old jazz, while waiting for whatever would surprise him…

"Oh where oh where did my hero go? To the depths of oblivion or down the painted row? Saving the masses, and stitching the classes... Ticking down the path to the shadows of my heart... Stealing my soul for art..." Mythica's soft voice echoed throughout the abandoned guildhall as she slowly traversed the ruins, her fingers sliding across the cracked stone as she walked, her boots crushing the bones of fallen wizards, centuries old as the armies of dust compiled on their remains quickly confirmed. The pale moonlight shone through the cloudless sky down upon the abandoned guildhall, its rays creating an ominous glow among the surroundings, shading many of the dozens of blackened walls and cracked pillars. The only other light came from the soft glow of Mythica's yellow clock eye, shining faintly from underneath her long black bangs.

The girl would round a corner and see him. The boy she had been waiting for... And the magic presence in the air confirmed his ghost like ally was somewhere nearby. It seemed neither was aware of her presence, but it didn't matter. She wasn't planning anything... "Fun" for the two of them, not that she could even pull it off if she tried. No, Mythica had a much grander plan in mind. Word of this cursed place had spread recently. Someone of dark power was reanimating the dead and forcing them to do their bidding. Smiling ominously, Mythica knew this was the perfect opportunity to obtain what she wanted. Or at least help her chances of doing so in the near future. But she wasn't dumb enough to go in alone. It was true, she probably could handle herself, but this mission would be completed a lot faster with the assistance of someone who had a reputation for killing undead. Or more specifically ghosts.

"You've finally arrived Mura! I was worrying." She said from the shadows near him. If he had looked in her direction, he would've seen nothing but darkness, and a faint yellow light. She'd take a few steps forward and walk into the moon light. Mythica was dressed in her usual outfit consisting of a black 'school like' uniform and two even twin tails on her head. Half the bangs of her face completely obscured the clock eye in the light. She'd give a half bow with an unstable smile. "Do not be surprised. Like you, I am a wizard... And my magic gives me many... 'unique' powers." She'd rise up. "My name is Mythica! Pleasure to meet you at last. I am here for the same reason as you. Having a rouge necromancer is good for no one."

Black Hearts [Job | Mythica] Empty Re: Black Hearts [Job | Mythica]

Post by Mura Kensho 24th March 2017, 11:02 am

Mura would quickly bring out his gauntlet and take a quick look. The map was kind of loading, until a full-screen view of the place was revealed; apparently, many small layers with rooms beneath the earth were a part of the ruined guild halls. He would have to find a way through them… but there was also a clear dot somewhere further down the entrance which stood a few meters away from him. He looked up, spotting the gate which was closed, a gloomy atmosphere leaking out of it. It was quite detestable, but nonetheless was it necessary for him to enter, find the objective and the way to execute the job. This place stank way far of a term which was very familiar with his experiences; death, to be exact. “I guess that we should enter-“ he spoke to Kyuken, but his eyes suddenly turned to the new figure which made its presence known…

Someone from the shadows called for him, a quite soft, girly voice. Although, when he looked towards the source of the voice, it was really difficult to make up her contour, because the dark view made only a small grasp of light reach his eyes from somewhat yellow beam. “… Wait, I’ve met your voice before. Is that-“ he realized, turning over to the girl covered by the reflection from the moon. Mythica, the sweet yet strange lady whom he met not too long ago… wait, it was actually quite a while since last time. Realizing that as well, he began scratching the back of his head and greeted: “Oh, it’s great to see you again-“ His eyes began glancing at the samurai ghost’s sweetened looks towards the other mage, feeling as if having met a crush of his, “-yeah, sorry for worrying you. I wasn’t really paying attention back when they told me my job partner… hehe, before-mentioned for that (as in the ‘sorry’ from earlier).” He would wait for the gentle lady to approach him and the guild behind them, but she caught up with a surprising revelation; he did have a thought or two about this, but she told him that she too was a mage herself. In fact, she referred to that magic as giving her ‘unique powers’, in which the samurai couldn’t but turn his head a little crook out of ignorance. “… I see,” he went with, “And I’m glad that you share the opinion about this threat. Perhaps we should begin now…” He quickly turned the gauntlet’s screen towards her, revealing the white dot. “We’re actually only a few meters away from another mage… we should see what he has to show us.”

With that said, he opened the large gate at the guild hall, entering the gloomy halls inside. Flicking the front of the small cloak up to his shoulders, Mura was spotted by who sat near the alter in the middle of the room. “!” The stranger turned his eyes towards Mura and Mythica, grinning by the two mages’ arrival, “Well, well, other strangers come to help me?” Mura’s objective wasn’t to help any necromancer such as that guy, given by the fact that meat was hanging from his palm between his fingers. “I’m here to end your game with flesh, old man…” Mura responded with a look that revealed the black flames of that god of vengeance and all other things that connected the Underworld. The necromancer actually noticed that, along with the traits of another, demonic silhouette that the young beauty possessed as well, all from deep within their souls. One look at them was enough to confirm them as more than suitable experiments to bring his beloved wife back to life, in which he pulled a lever that sent his body down a hole. His excited laughter echoed through the walls, causing a worry to be worn by Mura and Kyuken. “… What a joker,” the young shaman commented, “Oh, well. It might get interesting from this point on, Mythica.” Cracking sounds then echoed once at their location, turning the attention away. Mura's katana was about to unsheath, ready for action…

Black Hearts [Job | Mythica] Empty Re: Black Hearts [Job | Mythica]

Post by Mythica 26th March 2017, 10:17 am

Mythica would retain her usual dark grin as she approached the other mage. She was honestly surprised that Mura remembered her at all. It had been quite a while since the last time they had met. As for Mythica, she could never forget a single soul she came across. Even if she wanted too! A weird, sometimes useful, and sometimes annoying side effect of her magic. She giggled a bit at Mura's nervousness, and would turn her head back towards the guildhall. "Indeed. A great menace plagues this old temple. We must purify it! After all, the dead should stay dead." She'd agree with Mura's words, trailing behind him with her arms behind her back, humming a soft playful tune as they entered.

It wouldn't take long for the air to get foul, and the stench to rise from the shadows. It was obvious by those two factors alone, that this old guildhall was being used for something else. It was now more than just another ruin on the side of the road. It was someone's lab! Mythica had a lot of experience with labs, and she didn't liek them one bit! Not at all! One of the reasons why she came here so quickly. Wanted to dispose of the scientist hiding deep within... And it seemed he had already found them.

Mythica raised an eyebrow as she carefully glanced around the room as the dark figure vanished and began speaking through the walls. If Mythcia was insane, she'd be terrified like any other girl. But luckily that wasn't the case. The soft stench of rotten flesh and blood would drift through the air around the two wizards as Mythica looked around. "Oh I'm counting on it..." She'd reply to Mura with a dark smile, the red glint of her eye reflecting slightly in the pale moonlight shining through the broken roof above.

It seemed her friend was alerted to a new sound, and she'd look back into the shadows and heard it as well. Her time magic didn't sense a imminent confrontation however, so it was likely whatever the source of said noise was simply observing the two wizards. She'd turn to Mura. "Well, I get the feeling we're supposed to head to the basement!" She'd close her eyes. Nod and then open them again. "Yes! That is where our prey has skulked off too... It won't be long now..." She'd say, turning towards an old stone column next to a broken trap door in the floor.

Black Hearts [Job | Mythica] Empty Re: Black Hearts [Job | Mythica]

Post by Mura Kensho 27th March 2017, 10:09 am

The job was getting simple now. All that they had to do was to find this ‘maniac man’, find a way to defeat him - which Mura already knew - and then, if proven not enough, put a stop to the necromancy that dwelled in this place at that moment. He was sure that Mythica knew very well of the mission’s goal as well, but she appeared quite too calm about this. Mura did so too, and it made Kyuken curious. Nonetheless were his eyes clung to Mythica like hearts, a thing that Mura despised a little funnily. Again, wasn’t he about to find it usual? Apparently not… but that wouldn’t matter much now. The necromancer had just pulled a giant ‘screw you’ card up by disappearing into the ground. They had to move now, in which Mythica suggested that they moved down to the basement of these ruins. “Sounds like a plan,” he replied with a faint smile, before moving over to a broken trap door that led down to the destination, “Traps might be hidden down there… otherwise, his smile would’ve been smaller.”

He was so right. Just as he laid a first step on the stairs, Kyuken quickly whispered: “Spear coming..!” And through the brick stair, a metal spear erupted and pointed towards Mura’s belly, in which he reflected it with his katana. It was unsheathed in the blink of an eye, quick enough to block away the stab. Sparks flew out of the impact, putting light to the room below them. Slowly, the spear began pushing forward as if it wasn’t satisfied with the result. Mura kept holding it away with his katana, but as a small moment pass by, he grew impatient and decided to turn the metal that it was made of into nothing less than an embodiment of liquid. Quickly, it splashed to the ground as the water leaked away by time. “… That was closer than I thought,” he joked. The samurai ghost nodded in agreement. However, just as he was about to turn towards Mythica, his eyes froze at a view of… a small girl by the end of the staircase. Only her contour was visible due to the darkness that enveloped them, but her atmosphere was ethereal. After a good look, he turned his head towards Mythica with another smile, asking out: “So, Mythica… care to show me just what your magic does?”

    Mythica

Mythica seemed unphased by the sudden interruption of spears appearing out of nowhere to hit Mura as he took the first few steps down the broken door. In all, she stayed completely still, watching him as he effortlessly defended himself from the assault. It was very rare to see Mythica taken by surprise, especially in a place like this. Through her clock eye hidden underneath her raven colored banes, she could see the immediate future, seconds before it came to being. She did not fear for her job partner’s life, because the girl had already concluded he was more than a match for these traps. However, it didn’t seem he was the only one getting attention. Soon the floor rumbled slightly around Mythica herself and she simply giggled. She’d sidestep as a spear ripped through the floor from where she was standing only milliseconds before, spin as another broke the stone. Duck as one came from the wall, and then stepped backwards as another two lunged from the other wall aimed for her chest. Her hands still behind her back. “It seems you were right! But now I wonder why? These traps are soo… Mediocre… Wouldn’t he take pleasure and killing us himself? Why leave the mechanical components to do all the fun…” She’d say in a dark, chilling smile outlined by another giggle.

Although, the two weren’t alone. The sounds they had heard earlier were back, but this time closer. The look on Mura’s face prompted Mythica to turn her gaze behind her, and witness a lonely ghost girl standing in the dark, staring at the two. “Phantoms… 12 of them…” She’d say under her breath, turning her body to face her. The ghostly girl would say or do nothing, but just gaze at them from her shadows. Soon her friends joined her. More ghostly wisps appeared around the child, and soon more children materialized… All of which holding cruel looking daggers. The two wizards seemed to be surrounded.

At Mura’s question, Mythica simply took a sharp breath and smiled back at him. The ghosts would slowly walk around them, watching and waiting as a magical aura expanded around Mythica. The pale moonlight would slowly change to a soft yellowish color, as Mythica’s body began to glow in a similar fashion. It would grow so bright that it was blinding, but only for a second. In a flash, the light from her body vanished, and she was standing there in a very different outfit from only moments before. Instead of her usual ‘school’ like uniform with her two even twin tail braids, the girl was now wearing her long, black and orange frilled dress. A black and orange bonnet on the top of her head, and her twin tails now uneven, one obviously longer than the other. Her shoes were also replaced with long black thigh boots. But the thing that stood out most was the rapid spin of her yellow clock eye, now visible for everyone to see. She had a cruel grin on her face as well, her insanity showing as her hands spread out, and weapons manifested in them. A flintlock pistol, and a musket rifle.

Mythica would silently raise her rifle, and pointed it towards the ceiling above her head. She’d fire it, a red bolt of magical energy searing through the air until it made contact with the stone roof. Upon impact, a large yellow dome like shield expanded around Mura, Mythica, and the ghost girls! A magic seal appearing on the floor below them resembling that of a clock. Mythica’s own time flow increased, while everyone else’s slowed. Not wasting anymore time, the children rushed forward. However, Mythica was much faster and flashed into the air behind them, laughing as she fired her guns at the small grouping! With rapid succession, her bullets took down a few, but many still stood as she landed elegantly behind them. As a few turned their attention to Mura, Mythica pointed her pistol and fired, laughing maniacally as they ran towards her.

Black Hearts [Job | Mythica] Empty Re: Black Hearts [Job | Mythica]

Post by Mura Kensho 30th March 2017, 6:53 am

She appeared quite calm when the small phantoms arrived. Mura couldn’t really put words into it, but if he tried, then it was as if she saw it all coming from the very beginning. Quickly, the amount of enemies was spoken up, 12 of them in front of the next room that they were going to enter. Mythica had a point, earlier. What exactly was the necromancer’s intention to bring them down here? If he ever got the chance to kill even one of them, then he could seemingly just use his necromancy to fix them back together… or was he merely unexperienced? Perhaps to succeed, he had to lure them towards his lair or something, in which Mura would keep an eye around for any other traps. Although, he had to clear the obstacles in front of them as well. “12 ghosts, huh…” he mumbled a little, until suddenly noticing that the shadows faded a little. Their faces turned more clear, more… sinister. Grotesque. Horrific. He began sweating a little, feeling that he didn’t really have a choice than to face his fear once again. Ghosts like those really creeped him out, in the end…

    “Mura!”
Kyuken spoke to grab his attention, “Mythica’s ready! Try and look!” The shaman quickly turned up his eyes at the transformed mage, colored in a yellow contour and with a whole, different suit than before. When the hell did she get to change clothes? “What?! She’s already done changing?!?!?!” the samurai ghost complained with an angered face, causing Mura to sweat a little. “Hey, calm down…” he spoke, but to no good. The ghosts were already on the move, but Mythica quickly went into action. Using what appeared to be a rifle above, a large dome was created. “This is our mission as well, Kyuken,” the shaman informed, “We shouldn’t stand still forever.” With that, he grabbed Kyuken’s spirit and manifested it into a ball, sending it into Harusame with a swift move. The spirit began melting into the metal, causing a bluish aura to engulf it, while plates of armor showed up on one side of the katana. As the samurai spirit had perfectly fused with Harusame, Mura watched as the girls attacking them began to move slower than normal. Either that, or Mythica just moved faster than he expected. Huh? Is she freezing them down..?, he thought, but the phenomenon reminded him of another kind of magic than merely freeze elements. Not to mention, when he looked at the floor below, then it made sense. … So she’s a time mage, he concluded, before leaping into action, “J-Just disappear, already..!” His spirit-fused blade made an elegant move as it left a trail of such a pure energy, cutting through the crooked souls that opposed them. His magic was specialized for opponents like these, so he felt quite confident for once. When a ghost girl got cut in two, her spirit began lighting up from the impact, before fading away. It was a pleasant look with all the blitzes, and soon enough, Mura and Mythica overwhelmed the earlier big group of auric freaks.

Looking over at Mythica, she appeared to enjoy the battle quite a lot. Her laugh echoed even with all the speed boost that she had in Mura’s eyes, reaching his ears like electricity. However, he was quickly distracted by another wave of ghosts; with rapid steps, he rushed around and cut them away while wishing not to look directly into their disgusting faces. More of the auric influence took over the room, until his magic proved its specialty. Then, he took another look around, relieved that his nightmares were gone... for now. "Phew... keep up the good job, Mythica," he complimented with a soft smile.

Mythica breathed heavily in the aftermath of the batlle. Holding out both weapons as their barrels smoked silently in the air, a yellow glow coming from the insides of their exhaust. She'd be staring straight ahead at where the last few ghosts had once stood. She'd swallow the lump in her throat, and throw the musket over her shoulder, before turning to Mura. She'd simply smile with her golden clock eye ticking furiously. "That's the plan spirit weaver." She'd reply with her usual giggle afterwards. Then Mythica would turn towards the large archway ahead. She could sense more dangers within, and she was counting on it. She'd walk slowly towards the stone cave and feel a deathly chill down her spine. This guild had catacombs.... Of course it had catacombs... Why wouldn't it?

As the two traversed the stone hallways, it was deathly silent except for the sounds of their feet hitting the cold ground. The moonlight faded from behind them as they got deeper, Mythica's clock eye being the only source of light for the moment. Which actually did a decent job of illuminating their surroundings. Mythica of course never really relied on stealth for her objectives because of this, unless she was wearing an eyepatch. But that didn;t seem to be the case here, their enemy was already well aware of their presence... Which just made Mythica wonder more... Why didn't he show up himself? Why did he insist of hiding in the shadows and hope his minions could finish the job? To Mythica, there was only one reason... He was afraid... And it was marvelous. Mythica could never get enough of the sensation she felt when others feared her... It was riveting... Intoxicating... Unbearable... It gave her strength. Pushing her to her goals... Fear manipulation was a far greater weapon than time could ever be. The most powerful thing in this universe was fear... That's at least what she believed. And the fact that she hadn't been scared only told her this necromancer didn't have a lot of power. In her mind anyways.

She couldn't help but drag her thoughts to Mura for a time. He seemed well versed in combat, and was capable of taking care of himself. She could only wonder what this world lied in store for him. He could be very powerful one day, if he chose to be. It was something she found attractive. However, her thoughts were interrupted suddenly by a new sound. The sound of heavy foot steps.... Mythica turned her clock eyed gaze towards the dark and saw a shadow moving towards them. It was tall, and by the sound very heavy. Within a few meters, she'd notice a spark appear suddenly from the black! The spark only lasted a moment, but in that time it easily illuminated the surrounding. And she could see it was created by a very tall man who wielded what looked to be duel butcher knives. Interesting choice of weapons. The man's eyes were cold and grey, his uniform looking like that of a butler's... But he wasn't alone. Soon more ghosts would appear next to him. As he slowly lumbered forward into the light of Mythica's bright eye, he'd continue sparking the air by dragging the butcher's knives together. This was going to be fun.

Mythica would simply back up behind Mura, and place a palm on his shoulder and whisper in his ear. Her mouth uncomfortably close. "Face your fear." She'd giggle and wink at him. Alllowing him to take the first shot at mr. Butler....

Black Hearts [Job | Mythica] Empty Re: Black Hearts [Job | Mythica]

Post by Mura Kensho 10th April 2017, 4:20 am

As both of them agreed, the hallways seemed to grow darker and darker as Mura and Mythica made their way into the mystery. It couldn’t but spawn a bad mood around the shaman, causing memories of the fallen and sorrowful souls to haunt his surroundings. They, whoever they were and whatever they did, suffered an overwhelming ending behind these walls that once were their trusted guild hall. However, something special still made him smile a bit; not everything had ceased to exist. How could he feel their presences? Their souls, everything unique that they once were, still wandered the hallways as footprints of that ancient, lost time. Never tiring, they popped out from walls with their saddened faces and missing looks, both to his compassion and to his envy. At least, their duties on this Earth were done for… Mura still had a lot to do.

Speaking of atmospheres, the moonlight faded and became a poor source of illumination for the two mages that wandered through the hall. Mythica’s left eye turned into quite the sufficient light bulb, though, so perhaps the moon could pass the job to that instead. Based on her facial expression, she was thinking a lot. Perhaps her mind was talking about him? Thinking about that, he looked forward with a small blush, because being the focus center was too flattering. Instead, he should focus about the necromancer that foolishly hid from the two of them. He’s up to something…, the shaman thought, … I could ask the spirits around here for the way- A spark illuminated the room that they stood in, interrupting his thoughts as a large shadow exposed its source. Before them, a tall ‘butler’ greeted with a disgusting expression on his face and with two butcher knives grinding together. Around him, the ghouls from earlier showed up; to Mura’s surprise, they looked three times nastier than before. He could feel a sweat drop trickle down his nose by the view of them…

A hand was suddenly placed on his shoulder, in which his eyes rolled towards Mythica. She was getting too close to his ear, because he could feel her lips tickle it as she whispered: ‘Face your fear.’ Despite blushing in embarrassment, he felt that she noticed his anxious expressions earlier. What was he doing, letting his fear have an actual effect during a job… quickly rebuking himself internally, he lifted up his sheathed katana. The butler found this young man to be a potentially fine delicacy, but Mura wasn’t going to be served on a table. “Kyuken,” he spoke quickly, before slowly unsheathing Harusame. A bluish flame erupted from the metallic blade as it was unsheathed more and more, causing the ghosts around the big foe to flee back. “You can’t escape,” he warned the deceased girls, before fully unsheathing the katana as a bright, blue light surrounded them all. Thousands, perhaps millions of auric slashes cast away the spirits’ presences like blowing away a fly. They all vanished like dust in the wind… except the big guy who appeared to stand on his ground with a few bruises. “I knew it… he’s undead,” the Onmyōji informed Mythica. He could use his other power, but he had that in store for the necromancer himself, in which he returned the favor to Mythica. “After me…” he suggested quite gently, before charging his spirited sword through the large figure's belly, causing it to merely step back in surprise. Spirit Magic wasn't going to be effective against it, alone...

Mythica simply winked at Mura when he informed her of his strategy. Or lack there of. Just run in and take him out? Worked for her! However she didn't move at first, she let Mura have the first few blows. After all, she needed to get a read on the situation before she went in. That usually wouldn't be a problem since Mythica could normally read all her foe's background's and easily size up their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. This however was another case. Undead had no memories anymore. At least not this kind. They were just bodies that were stillc apable of movement, but their lives before then had been washed away, leaving only a massive black void in Mythica's mind whenever she attempted to pierce their minds. That being said, they were always the most unpredictable kind of opponent for Mythica to face. And their skill or power always depended on that of the curse placed upon them, and the skill and power of the caster. At this though, she smirked, knowing that this necromancer was barely 3rd tier in her opinion. However, it did slightly surprise her.

Watching the undead butler move backwards suddenly to avoid the narrow speed of Mura's glowing katana, it would then attempt a crosscut, swinging his large butcher knife in an attempt to slash Mura's neck. Gripping her weapons more tightly, Mythica thought she knew all she needed to know, and held up her guns. They'd explode with yellow bolts of magic as she walked around the room, still facing the undead butler. Most of her bullets hit, but did little more than to stagger him. And that's when a thought popped into her head, and she realized this was going to be a lot easier than she had thought. She needed the butler's attention.

Suddenly, Mythica would dash forwards again, and jump upwards as the man still has hid attention on Mura. As she fell, she planted the end of her boot against his face and rolled ont he ground. THe large man lumbered from the impact, and spat rotting flesh and teeth from his mouth, before looking over at the girl. Mythica still faced the opposite direction, slowly standing up as the butler would raise both the knives and run towards her. However, the glow in her musket glowed again, and Mythica would rapidly turn when he was within mere inches of her and fire a bright yellow beam directly into his chest!

The man stopped in his tracks as Mythica stood there with her gun still pointed, smoking. And suddenly, his skin would began to age rapidly! The dead flesh turned grey within an instant, any hairs left on him soon turned white and shrank. His eyes would sink into his skull, leaving nothing but blank sockets and the skin began peeling off to reveal the muscles and nerves underneath. And soon, nothing but a skeleton stood in front of Mythica, as his clothes rotted away within an instant. It looked as if the dead body had aged several years. A time that was substituted with only a few seconds. The glory of time manipulation! The skeleton dropped the butcher knives and slowly reached out for the clock eyed girl, but she'd simply kick him in the chest, causing all the bones to topple apart and spill on the floor in front of them. She was relieved to know her age shot worked. It usually didn't on living beings... But this being was not alive.

She'd simply smirk and hoist the gun on her shoulder, winking at Mura in a playful manner, before turning to keep walking. Offering no insight as to what she had done.

Black Hearts [Job | Mythica] Empty Re: Black Hearts [Job | Mythica]

Post by Mura Kensho 14th April 2017, 8:36 am

The butler was fast with his hands; he was already on the verge to cut Mura’s head off in a classic decapitation as the Spirit Sword revealed its ineffectiveness. He quickly dodged, a move that was highly suggestive and obvious in a point like this one. Suddenly, the shadow of Mythica leapt over him and Kyuken, sending a kick towards the undead without Mura’s knowledge. It was quite the synchronization, but it was moreover coincidental. “W-Woah,” he let out in surprise, while he slowly stood up again and noticed the dead flesh splash everywhere, “That was too close, Kyuken… give him a proper beating, Mythica!” Cheering on, he decided to save his powers for a little while; the time mage happened to have a good grab on the situation, anyways. He could let her have her fun with the large zombie while saving strength.

Something shocked him when the bullet was fired at the undead; a quick change in its magical structure, before its skin suddenly began crambling off as if it was centuries old. Was that… was that also a part of her magic? She could alter people’s ages?! “. . .” Watching the wonder himself, Mura was quite speechless, “… I-Imagine if I was hit by such a bullet, Kyuken.” The samurai ghost panicked a little with a sweat drop trickling off its head, but it was nonetheless a fascinating magic. He never saw anything like this before. Now, a mere naked skeleton was exposed before the mages, unarmed and at Mythica’s mercy. “And here comes…” he spoke to build up suspense as Mythica landed a last kick to dismantle the skeleton completely, “… the finishing blow.” It was almost completely predictable, but she was quite an interesting mage. Still sweating of the thoughts of being hit by such a spell himself, he followed up as Mythica prompted him to come with that wink of hers.

“I guess that we’re getting closer to him,” he spoke to her in the middle of the next hallway, “…” Something from the wall beside them caught his gaze, but it was fade and disappeared as his vision focused on the position. Curious, Mura approached the wall as Kyuken was about to warn him of the source; standing mere inches from the surface, the face of a deceased child booed at him. “…” Surprisingly, he stood still from behind. It was as if his fear had died off a long time ago for those who looked at his back, for instance the samurai spirit. “M-Mura…” he calmly spoke to the shaman whose face was white as calcium, ridiculous eyes and a subdued smile on his face. He was scared to death by that boo, no doubt. His entire body was about to crackle by mere trembles of fear. “… I-I-I-I-I’m fine,” he mumbled to himself.

“H-Hurry, butlers! The two demons are approaching!” a voice from the end of the hallway called. It was loud enough for the two mages to hear, in which Mura could finally catch his sanity. “That voice; it’s him...” he assured Mythica, quickly grabbing onto his katana and looking towards the end of the hallway…

Noticing Mura's sudden surprise and then shock made Mythica feel good. She always enjoyed showing off her powers. Even if they were currently classified as weaker compared to Mura's magic. But she hoped it wouldn't stay that way for long. She'd carefully eye there surroundings and simply giggle when the ghost child appeared and scared Mura's companion. It was still unclear whether or not Mythica was even aware of his presence, but she showed no evidence of either assumption. Of course, that would only be if someone could read her, which was by all means almost impossible. Her mind was broken, and had been for some time. She knew it, and loved it. Being free from the confines of rhyme or reason was the best experience ever. She only wished she could share her gifts with others. Yet whenever she tried, they always resisted. Not that she ever knew why. Why? Why did they wish to remain caged in their heads... After all everyone has whispers in their heads... Only some choose to listen to them. Maybe she could convince Mura something similar after this mission was complete. Even though she knew almost every detail about his past, she knew very little about him as a person. Based on his past experience, he seemed like a relatively nice person. he wasn't cruel or crazy like Mythica, which to her was frankly a little underwhelming when it came to combat. Everything he did was always so elegant, calculated, with quick, careful strikes. Even though they always got the job done, she always found that fighting style boring. Was there any fun in planning every step of the battle? Why not just let loose, and let your body do the work. Even if Mythica could see the future, she rarely planned a counter move until the moment said future became a reality. Sure it was dangerous, and maybe a waste of the dreaded curse that she had, but she jsut found it SO much more enjoyable. After all, that's why she did it, wasn't it? All her little escapades were simply for her own entertainment. THis one was no different. She cared little for the balance of light and dark. The dark guilds could rampage all over Fiore, or the light guilds could obliterate them completely. It made no difference to her. As long as there were still people living in this world with the potential to fear her, or be freed from their internal prisons... Mythica was happy.

Soon the two reached the end of the catacombs to what looked like a burial chamber. And then the familiar voice of the necromancer could be heard to boot... And it sounded scared... Mythica's grin grew wider. Not only was this necromancer afraid, but that showed Mythica that her previous hypothesis was correct. He wouldn't be scared if he was weak. Two more butlers dressed in similar clothing lumbered into view out of the darkness, and the necromancer stood in front of a raised platform with a dead woman on it. He stood his ground looking at the two as the butlers approached. Mythica turned to Mura. "I'll handle these boys sweetie, I wont force you to do something you're scared of. Just go for mr. necrophiliac over there..." She sneered, getting her weapons ready as the clock in her eye gained speed.

Black Hearts [Job | Mythica] Empty Re: Black Hearts [Job | Mythica]

Post by Mura Kensho 16th April 2017, 3:47 am

The figures quickly approached the couple with their rotten flesh covering their arms and legs, some of it hidden under their surprisingly elegant choices of clothing. Just how many butlers did the necromancer have here? Perhaps he was on some killing spree near a restaurant at one point, a thought that only angered the shaman and his ghost companion even more. Something must’ve driven the maniac to this point, though, and as angry as he was, Mura wanted to know the reason too. He was determined to force it out of that prick, especially now. Mythica had, judging by her sneering choice of words, caught the shaman’s ghost dilemma and suggested to fight the butlers herself as they were accompanied by dozens of those kids. “… W-Well,” he stammered a little by the comment, “… *sigh* Enjoy yourself, then.” With that said, he quickly passed through the gang that stood before them like a feather blowing across branches; he worried not of their attempt to counter him, because he trusted Mythica to finish them off as quickly as possible.

On top of a larger altar, the necromancer found himself holding the corpse of… a woman? Spotting the scene, Mura braked quickly and examined the situation with his shocked eyes. Tears were trickling down the enemy’s cheeks as he mumbled something into the corpse’s ear… was it, by any chance, the deceased body of someone that he cared for? Why could Mura see himself in that situation; as the corpse. “… Hey, you,” he quickly spoke to the necromancer, having his katana pointed at him and the rotten body, “I think that I have an idea of your intentions… but you’ve already went too far.” Slowly lifting up his face to spot the mage, the necromancer suddenly reminded himself of the wicked energies inside both Mura’s and Mythica’s bodies. They didn’t possess regular magic power, but something far more… sinister. Eyeing the sparkle of an opportunity, the necromancer spoke: “So you’ve come here to stop me from returning to my love, eh… you possess some special magic, you two.” Not wanting to have a talk with the foe, Mura quickly sprinted up the stairs to reach the necromancer up at the altar, but dark chains from the enemy’s hands suddenly drilled through his body, “I-If I can extract that… I might… I might be able to do it!!!” he roared in hope of his plan to succeed.
Black Hearts [Job | Mythica] 52l4eemq66unykeog2fukdu5tawm4gxq_hq
Mura didn’t flinch, though. His body wasn’t damaged by the chains that seemed to have penetrated his flesh, but merely went to an abyss by contact. And as soon as the necromancer noticed the strange thing, a dark-purple aura enveloped Mura by command. “It’s been a while since I could’ve used this,” he whispered to his samurai ghost, “Care to give me your power, Kyuken?” Suddenly worried, the samurai spirit looked up at Mura’s face; usually, he wasn’t quite himself when letting Pluto’s influence take over his own, but this time was different. Smiling a little, the spirit leapt into his katana, causing a massive amount of magic power to surge out in all directions. The necromancer fell off the altar by the shockwave, and as he lifted himself up again, Mura was looking down at him with a spiritual manifestation of Kyuken’s torso in a huge, golem-like spirit form. The atmosphere was nasty and pitch-black as always.

Attempting to strike, the necromancer found his legs tied up by black metal. “W-What’s going on..?!” he spoke in confusion, watching the metal bind up his entire body and pinning him to the very position that he was in. Mura couldn’t but smile at the scene and his dominance, his hands clapped together to sign his powers over Yin and Yang, which made things easier from now on. “I told you already, didn’t I..?” he commented out loud, “You went too far.” Struggling to break out, the necromancer complained: “You can’t do this to me! You don’t know how I feel, let me go! I need to bring my wife back, at all costs..!” His words were annoying, but nonetheless did Mura feel some compassion for him. Even he knew how it felt to say goodbye to someone special, his mother… the thought caused a nerve. “How can you not understand!? She meant everything to-“ The necromancer’s words were interrupted by the large manifestation of a spirit sword that penetrated his very soul all the way from the altar, leaving no physical injury on the fainted enemy. His breath calmed down as the metal bind was lifted. “… You simply went too far, my friend,” the shaman commented quietly with the black aura surrounding him, “… Phew, I guess that we’ll give him some time to reconsider his life, Kyuken?”

    Mythica
they promised all of your dreams
Would come true However They forgot to mention
    yournightmares were
    Dreams too
As Mura dealt with the Necromancer, Mythica had her focus on the two butlers in front of her. Even if they were no more than lifeless husks, she could still feel their intoxicating attempt to kill. Mythica had to hand it to the necromancer. The ability ro completely dominate one's mind, and force them to carry out wishes of yours, no matter what they were, was admirable. To her at least. Although the power was slightly less impressive on the dead, as there wasn't a lot to dominate in the first place. She couldn't ignore reality, however, and would deal with these two as quickly as she could. Or maybe Mythica could've taken her time. After all, Mura would need some time to deal with the necromancer... Or so she had assumed.

She would walk slowly towards the two men with her guns standing at her sides. They both held similar weapons to the ones they had fought before. Two butcher knives in each hand. Seemed simple enough. As soon as she got within striking distance, the first butler swung forwards trying to crosscut her in the neck. Interesting, their combat wasn't very diverse it seemed. At least not very diverse from each other. She should've expected as much from a mediocre necromancer. Mythica would isntantly duck, spinning around the man just as his partner tried to slash her. Her reflexes were much faster than these undead, so the end result was a hard cut to his partner. Giggling at their stupidity, she'd duck as the now enraged zombie spun around to grab her. She'd release a bolt into his leg, causing him to crouch. She'd then jump up with a graceful backflip. Her hard boot hitting his chin in the process, causing the butler to fall on his back. Mythica would land on a coffin a few feet away, and grin as she released a flurry of shots towards the two butlers. The bullets ripped through their flesh, but they were proving resilient. Mythica would then charge up a more powerful shot. Holding out her musket, an explosion of yellow light would explode from the barrel, splitting into multiple different streams! The streams snaked through the air before quickly converging onto one of the butlers. The power caused him to explode, sending rotten flesh and blood spraying across the room. Within an instant after the explosion, Mythica leaped forward and planted her knee into the other butler's face. The impact caused him to stagger, giving her enough time to roll on the ground and point her weapons again. She'd dig the pointed edge of her musket into the man's stomach, and released a flurry of shots, blowing a hole through his torso...

Mythica would be watching from the otherside of the room in a kneeling position. Blood soaking her dress, face, and hair... But she didn't have her usual grin... No... This look was a lot more sinister. What was she seeing? Why? After all this... Mura would let the necromancer LIVE? She watched silently, a dark glare on her expression as her yellow clock eye shadowed half of her face. No... This wasn't right... He couldn't. Reanimating the dead was like rewinding time... And that was HER thing. Without saying anything, Mythica would slowly stand to her feet, breathing heavily as the blood dripped from her eye. She'd hold up the musket rifle and point it at the ceiling. Suddenly, she'd fire a bolt into the roof and suddenly a massive, yellow wave of magic would engulf the room. A seal appeared on the ground below them depicting a clock. Before anyone would have a chance to react, the seal lit up... And then silence...

Everything was frozen. No sound... No movement... Nothing. Mythica however wasn't frozen. She'd begin walking towards the alter with a sinister look on her face, stepping up the alter towards the necromancer who Mura had just subdued. Ignoring Mura as her magic had stopped time completely within the area, she'd point her musket towards the man's head. "Be reunited with your beloved..." She said coldly... Pulling the trigger.

Upon impact, the spell would shatter, and time resumed again. Mythica would turn towards Mura with blood dripping from her eye, and quickly give him a hug, leaning her head on his chest. "Can't have more than one time turner..."

Mura was quite surprised by the magic circle that appeared on the floor. Was the necromancer still intending to fight this hopeless battle? Didn’t he just suffer defeat? I guess that he hasn’t given up yet…, the shaman thought, whilst the marks of Pluto surrounded his arms, legs and head to activate the dark magic that ran through his veins. Although, what surprised him more was that it felt as if time had stopped; he noticed that by spotting the floating rock with no signs of magical surge inside of it. His hair soared not like a blazing wind, but stood still mid-air. “W-What’s…” he was about to ask out until he saw Mythica approach the necromancer. So it was her doing, this time… wait, what was she trying to do?

His eyes went a little silent by the shot that finally ended the crazed necromancer once and for all… she’d killed him. His soul went straight off his body by the impact with the bullet, and Mura was now shocked. Kyuken’s mouth hanged down to the floor as he went silent. She slowly approached him, and because of the magic, Mura felt a little… or well, he did feel a little intimidated, until she suddenly gave him a hug. In situations like these, no words could explain her reason to do that, nor could Mura fathom everything on his own. However, what he fathomed was that she wasn’t normal… her soul wasn’t normal. He could clearly feel it through her flesh as he worryingly pulled an arm around and simply replied: “… Mythica…” His words weren’t rebuking, but more worried than anything.
