Enter, the mighty Slime Witch

Many different things could happen on the road. In fact, that was half the fun. Meeting both interesting and strange people or witnessing something you thought completely impossible. Today was one of those days as well, which was both good and bad for the traveling duo. Leila was once again in her disguised form, as was to be expected when outside of Fiore. And next to her, the sentient machine she called father. Finally leaving the small town of Altera, their next target was a much bigger city. In fact, it was the capital of Seven where they would gather new supplies, allowing them to head towards the borders again and possibly cross over to the technological superiority of Earthland, Bosco. Adventure there would be interesting indeed, considering just advanced their technology was and the nameless golem was, well... a golem. Machine that was capable of thinking for itself, a marvel of artificial intelligence. But that was then, now was now. They still had quite a bit of walking before they would finally get there. Especially if they were to keep encountering all these people with problems that they could help. Not that it was bother, Leila loved helping others, even if she knew nothing about them. It was just the fact that this adventure would take a very long time at this rate. Even now, an unusual shape started appearing in the distance, sitting on the dirt road. And next to it, something that looked like a figure waving at the duo.

Once they got closer, it became clear just what they were looking around. Indeed, there was a young looking girl waving at them, trying to get their attention. And what she was standing next to was a purple coated caravan that was sticking out as a sore thumb. Probably could use some repairs and a new paint job. But at least the horses in front looked healthy and just fine. Though there was a strange smell floating in the air, including some... slime? That was lying all over the palce and coating one side of the wooden structure. "Travelers hoy! I require your assistance, please stop walking! There is a terrible thing happening right now and we have to stop it!" At first, Leila thought this might be just another one of those people that try to steal from others. But hearing about something terrible happening, she had to help even if it was a trap. "What is it? Did something attack you? Would explain the damage on your vehicle..." Both of the girls looked at the caravan, as if to visually confirm it's state. Though this new blonde female quickly turned back to face Leila while pouting for some reason. "Wrong, wrong! Some very precious cargo escaped from me and is now terrorizing the wild life! I tried stopping it, but... I think I lack the necessary powers to do so. Besides, I don't want to hurt my little lovely slimes!" Now that the information was dropped, the whole situation became a whole lot... well, it was kinda hard to explain, actually. Slimes? Terrorizing the wild life? "Hold on, are you telling me that you're responsible for harming others?!" "Nooo! Are you even listening to me? The slimes!" Oh, this would be an interesting one indeed.

"Okay, so you had a bunch of slimes in that vagon of yours and they somehow managed to escape. And now they're running rampant and doing whatever they want so you need our help in stopping them, correct?" The girl nodded. That was probably enough information she needed to deal with the whole situation, as slimes we generally not the strongest of monsters. Doing this much should be just fine. With newly found goal and spirit burning bright in her chest, Leila would leap over the small stone wall that ran alongside the path, her feet safely landing on a lush grass. A wide plain opened up in front of her, many flowers adorning it's visage, as well as the beautiful blue background with some trees and smaller hills barely visible. As well as slimes running everywhere. How exactly did she not notice them earlier? Well, they seemed to be mostly pretty small and hiding in the grass, so perhaps it was not that much of a surprise. Getting ready for this whole show, the girl cracked her knuckles and smirked. For some reason, she felt refreshed and prepared to show who is the boss around these parts. Perhaps this was how overpowered characters felt in started areas of various games? "Alright, time to get moving! You can watch from the distance if you want, father. Judging these guys by their appearance, your inner structure would probably get kinda messed up with slime if you were to attack them from up close with your weapons."

The nameless golem was a moving weaponry, but the image of him shooting at slimes like these was just comical. And while Leila herself was more of a melee fighter with her abilities, she was perfectly capable of fighting at long or medium distances as well. Turns out having the skill to summon trees and roots all around you could be quite beneficial. Already some of the enemies gathered around her, tiny orange, red and brown slimes that were wearing giant tea cups on them as helmets or turtle shells. In a way, they were extremely adorable and killing them would be almost shame. But the fact alone that they were playing with things like that meant they already managed to get to some distant tea party and crash it. It was a good question who in their right mind would use cups so large, but unfortunately there was no one to answer it. "Sorry, but you guys gotta go. It's nothing personal." And with that, she would extend her hands forth, the ground beneath her feet suddenly bulging up as something right below it started moving towards the slimes at high speed. There were three enemies in total and one was quickly dispatched by roots the emerged from the ground, penetrating it from multiple sides and shattering the teacup in the process. In the end, there was nothing more than orange juice splattered on the flora. It actually looked kinda brutal. As an act of revenge, the red one got to the girl and managed to propel itself into the air, crashing into the female's head, as if trying to headbutt her. Well, it managed to do so. Except it didn't exactly hurt all that much. Taking few steps back, a way bigger tree trunk would emerge from the ground and coil around Leila for a bit before crushing both remaining slimes mercilessly.

How did these guys even manage to escape? They were small, yes. But that vagon did look quite sturdy and no windows on the back side meant they should have been properly enclosed. Unless that girl who requested their assistance somehow messed up and allowed them to escape by opening the door or something. Speaking of which, it seemed that she was watching from behind that waist-high stone wall along with the golem. "You're doing very well! But those were the weakest ones, things might get difficult from now on so be careful! I don't want to be cleaning up after both slimes and humans." Good thing she had so much confidence in the people she asked for help... anyway, looking ahead, Leila spotted few more slimes just kinda moving about. Indeed, these ones were quite a good deal bigger. And more colorful too, which was kinda nice. Almost looking like liquid marbles trapped inside of giant bottles. Now, what was it with these glass objects? They were giant! Is there a glass factory somewhere nearby that they raided before she managed to get here and start dispatching them? Or maybe just the girl who released them had a weird collection of giant objects. Nothing could surprise Leila anymore, Earthland was just that chaotic at times. But at least that also meant she was more or less prepared for anything at all. Expect the unexpected, as they say. And while that was quite a difficult task, so far she was managing pretty well. Next, she imagined a building made out of slime going at her as the boss or something.

But that was going on a little bit too ahead. First things first, these marble guys. And while they didn't appeared exactly threatening, that glass hiding their bodies was probably thick enough to provide some defense. Not enough, but still some resistance. In which case, she had to either attach with greater force than before or from direction that was not protected - below. And seeing how there were two of these slimes, why not try both and see which one was more effective? Though she clearly took way too long thinking about her options, as the slimes grew impatient and tried attacking first. One of them scooted over to her and swing it's body forward in similar fashion to the previous one that managed to attack the girl. This time, however, she saw them coming and easily jumped back, evading the attack completely. The second one tried a little different approach and made itself fall over, the glass bottle working as a wheel that started to roll towards her. If they were on hill, this would have probably been a much stronger attack. But on a flat ground, well... Leila managed to stop it by simple putting her leg forward, essentially kicking the bottle and stopping it's momentum completely. Seeing how this placed the slime right in front of her, he would be the one to receive a devastating attack rather than one aimed at it's weakness. The tree from before narrowed itself and then uprooted itself, falling with it's full weight boosted by gravity on the poor creature. And as one would expect, the glass shattered completely beneath something like that, as did the slime. As for the second one who watched it all happen and probably became traumatized by it, a root secretly grew beneath it and then in one single swift motion, penetrated it from the inside.

That were two more dealt with. Only a handful remained at this point, which was good. It appeared that this contract would not take all that long after all. Though what came next was... slightly worrying. Indeed, as she imagined before, a slime that was about as big as a building. Along with the humanoid shaped slimes that still had heads of generic slimes, making them look somewhat disturbing and strangely muscular. "Be careful! That is King Slime and his two bodyguards! They are more powerful than anything you have ever face before!" Only one way to find out if those words held any truth in them. Not wanting to waste too much time, she figured that if she would defeat the king, those two other ones would probably give up. Extending her hand forward and then clenching it, she summoned another sharp tree beneath the ground, having it shoot up and go straight through the giant slime. But it didn't even flinch with that piece of wood inside of his mass. "H..huh...?" "As I said, he is more powerful than anything you've ever faced! Physical attacks won't work at all. Ah, careful! He's preparing his ultimate attack!" Before Leila could talk back, the giant slime suddenly shot out more... slime? Out of it's mouth, the projectile way faster than she would have anticipated. Unable to dodge, she was soon covered in the transparent blue jelly. Though it didn't hurt at all. Instead, her clothes suddenly started falling apart, leaving the girl with nothing at all to cover her bare form and forcing her to duck down, trying to cover herself to the best of her abilities.

"I told you it was preparing it's strongest attack, why didn't you dodge? Ah-" The girl was still trying to help from behind the wall when the golem suddenly jumped it and stepped in front of his embarrassed daughter, both of his hands transforming into something that could only be described as flaming cannons. And in a moment's notice, flames of hell were unleashed as the two giant flamethrowers activated. The wall of flames engulfed the poor creatures instantly, melting the two guardians as well as the kings. Seemed like fire was it's weakness. As soon as they were all gone, he would remove the heavy leather coat he always wore and handed it to Leila who used it to cover her naked figure. "Geez, what kind of enemy has attacks of such vulgar nature?!" Now that the fighting was over, the blonde girl hopped the wall as well to join the duo. "Ahaha, sorry about that. I would have never imagined the slime would get cloth dissolving property after mixing all those ingredients together to make them." "You made them?!" Now, that was a reveal. Honestly, the black haired maiden had a strong urge to slap this lady right now because of what just happened... but unfortunately, she was too self restraining for that. Not to mention she didn't want to hurt any pretty girls. "Yes! And I have decided... to have you two join my caravan! I am the great Slime Witch Megumi Tireheart! If you join me, I can provide comfortable travelling and change of clothes." Change of clothes seemed rather nice at this moment, seeing how she didn't have any spares herself. And there was no way she was going into a city in this state! "Leila... pleasure to meet you..."
