    Job Title: Missing stolen Jewelry
    Rank: C
    Player Requirements: N/A
Job Requirements: 2000 word minimum per character through entire thread.
    Job Location: Hargeon Town
Job Description: My beloved wifes jewelry was misplaced during a vacation to Hargeon town. Please find it for me.
After searching the town for a few posts it is possible to meet a street Urchin who will give you Intel on the whereabouts of said jewelry(Dice roll optional).  The street urchin will need a post or two of convincing to give you the information depending on how you go about getting the info.

Follow the advice to meet the boss, a pawnshop owner who is selling stolen goods. You, however, need to prove he’s selling stolen goods Continue arguing with the boss until you roll a boss in which you can find proof he’s selling stolen goods(dice rolls optional, max 4 per person). Keep track of how many other dice results you get.

Afterwards, a fight ensues and multiple punks and armed punks and even his street urchins will swarm the place in an all out brawl. Defeat the Pawnshop dealer and the low lives will scatter and you complete the mission. How many of each enemy appear are determined by the rolls you made during the argument and what appeared. So if after 3 posts total you rolled 3 weak, 2 strong, and 1 boss dice you will fight 3 punks, two street urchins, and the boss.
    Enemies:
    Weak:
Punk(D): nobodies not worth mentioning who are slow and uncoordinated. These low lifes have no skill in what they’re doing typically flail their fists around and are pretty easy to deal with. Can’t appear until the boss appears.
    Medium:
Armed Punk (D+): Punks with two by fours and metal pipes. Just as uncoordinated but pack a heavier punch then the punks. Can not appear until the boss appears.
    Strong:
Street Urchin (C): Low-lives who wander the streets of all cities and are particularly small, these guys are a great source of information if you can get your hands on one and convince them to give you information. Their honestly non-violent and aren’t stupid enough to take on mages but you’ll need to convince one to give you real information if you want to find the jewelry, which, in a city as big as Hargeon, would be a needle in a haystack. Aggravate one though and they may put a knife in your chest.
    Boss:
Pawnshop owner (C+): A shop owner who has been knowingly selling stolen goods. He carries a one handed mace as his weapon and is pretty good at using it although not as good as many would believe.

    Reward: 15,000 jewels

Adalia was still very pleased.  Having left the building which she got her passport in, she was a step closer to figuring out what this land was and what she was to do here.  She felt it would be appropriate to explore; she didn't have enough money to afford a map of any sorts, so she'd just have to explore the land, or get money, somehow.  Adalia walked through the streets of Hargeon; it was probably once a beautiful town, but, in its current state, it's nothing more than development works.  Still, many of the people in it appeared to be quite happy; children prancing around, adults happily shopping, laughter and smiles everywhere...  even though it was still a mess in many ways, Hargeon Town was still a bustling city, it just didn't look the part.

Except for one.  There was a man that appeared to be in a panic.  He was stopping several people that passed by him, asking them a question, most of which probably said no based off of his reaction afterwards, and he moved onto the next batch of people he found.  Adalia did her best to stray from the man's line of sight, but, as she moved past him, he just caught her in the glimpse of his eye.  "Hey, little girl, wait!" he called out to her.  Adalia didn't want to start her journey in Hargeon Town by gaining a bad reputation, so she felt it was needed to stop and hear this man out; act the part of a young girl as best as she could, even if it did irritate her.

Adalia turned around and put on her best smile saying, "Yes, sir?  Is there anything you need?"  He stopped, looked at her for a moment, and asked, "Have you happened to see a ring and necklace somewhere around here?  The ring is gold with a blue stone, and the necklace is similar.  The jewel on both is carved to absolute perfection and radiate a bright, vibrant blue colour."  Adalia hadn't seen it, so she was tempted to blow him off, but then she thought she might be able to get something out of this.  "I haven't, sir, but I'm certain I can find it!  I'm expecting some sort of reward, though."  The man definitely seemed skeptical on hiring Adalia; his face told the story of doubting the girl, but, he was desperate enough.  "If you can find it and return it to me...  I shall reward you."

That's all she had to hear.  "Great!  I'll look around, then.  Make sure to be around here till the end of the day, mister, unless someone else finds it for you, I'll be sure to get it here by then!"  And so, she went off.  It was annoying; Adalia didn't want to search for some stupid lost jewelry for some stupid man, but, it might actually help her start her way in this world.  The reward better be something good.

Skip several hours later, and it was already past three o'clock.  Adalia had made no progress whatsoever in finding the jewelry, greatly annoying her.  She knew that the jewelry was most likely stolen, but had some hopes in potentially finding it normally.  As much as she preferred not to, it was time to go to the more...  "friendly" places in town.  No matter which major town or city you could go to, there were always the darker and more dangerous areas, just a small fact of life.  It took her about half an hour to actually find a place where thugs were starting to become apparent.  They didn't even try to hide it, wearing whatever thugs wore; she didn't care, so she didn't really bother seeing what they wore.

One thing that was noticeable, however, was the insignia they all bore on the left shoulder of their jackets, because they all wore black jackets, that was bright red in colour.  It looked like A curved sword and a shield as background, so they either all liked the same brand, or were in some sort of gang together.  Quite obviously, they were all eyeing the one standing out - Adalia, but she walked without any care in the world.  There was one man in particular who stood out from the rest - a fedora, and his jacket was blue, unlike the others, so she thought he might be a good place to start; he was slightly hidden behind an alley.  She walked towards him, giving him a rather sinister look which he couldn't help but snicker at.  After all, who could take such a young, adorable girl seriously?

"What is it that you need, young lady?  Did you get lost?  Or perhaps you're here for some candy." he pulled out a lolipop from his pocket and practically threw it at Adalia face, giggling like a young schoolgirl.  "Now, scram!" he said in a rude tone.  Adalia couldn't help but sigh, and her original plan of coming in as a nice, innocent girl was thrown out of the window; a harsh stare was thrown at the lowlife of a thug, and she drew her sword immediately, pointing it at his neck with no real expression.  "C-calm do-down missy...  We ca-ca-" "Shut it!"  She said in a loud, sharp tone.  It was almost impossible to take her voice seriously; it sounded very cute.  "I'm looking for some stupid jewelry for some stupid man.  It's golden, with shiny blue stones on them.  One is a necklace, the other a ring.  Know where they are?"

The thug gulped and was evidently sweating; his hands were shaking.  "M-my boss!  He probably knows!  I'll take you to him...  just don't hurt me!"  It wasn't an answer she wanted, but one she would accept.  Adalia sheathed her sword away, and as she did, the man formed a large smile, and Adalia was hit in the head with a powerful blow with a blunt weapon.  She couldn't hear anything, the screen became black, and she eventually collapsed on the ground.

When Adalia woke, her hands were tied together and her weapons weren't with her.  Her vision still hazy and her head pounding, they had hit her really hard.  This was entirely her fault, too; if she was more careful in where or perhaps how she handled the street lowlife then she wouldn't be in this mess.  As her vision came back, she was able to hear the voices around her, but, more importantly, she scanned the room briefly for both of her pieces, and they were on a table not far away...  the stupid idiots.  Some of the thugs came to notice her awakening, one yelling out "Boss!" and as he did, the door in front of her opened and a large man came through it.  He wore a fancy, black business suit, but no hat.  Sunglasses, muscular, a buzzcut, the shiny shiny bling bling...  he's everything that's expected from a stereotypical bad guy.

He only looked at Adalia and immediately snickered.  He crouched down and examined her face roughly.  "Sell her to some auction house, but don't touch her.  They can do whatever they'd like to her.  Price her high - she's going to be a real beauty when she grows up.  I mean, look at her already."  The man walked out without saying anything else, and the thugs resumed back to their work.  Her sight had properly returned to her and she used it to properly see her surroundings; it was surprisingly dull.  She was in a gray room with many chairs and tables for the thugs to play cards on or whatever, and a metal door, but that's about it.  She tried moving around, but it was then that she realized she was tied against a pole, and her hands were chained together.  Of course...

Her hands were behind her back, and she hadn't displayed any ability to use magic.  Carefully, slowly, and quietly, her hand was sharpened to the absolute maximum and cut the chains that bound her hands.  She did the same to the chains around her body, but held them together with her other hand.  "Hey...", she called out to one of the thugs, "Can I use the bathroom?"  The closest thug came closer to her; everyone appeared to like to get close to Adalia, and snickered.  "What makes you thi-" was all he could finish, because Adalia had let get of her chains and used her sharpened arm to stab him in the gut.  "That's one easy man down...  right...  anyone want to be next?"

The blood from the stabbed thug didn't seem to bother her in the least.  In fact, her maniacal smile only grew once she felt the warmness of the red liquid touch her skin.  The essence of life, although from an inferior being, made her smile and how easily could she claim it.  Her normal bright blue eyes changed a beautiful golden colour.  She removed her hand from his torso and as he did, a rather disgusting squish sound could be heard.  The body dropped on the floor, a loud thump being the only thing that could be heard in the room apart from the splurting blood coming from the nearly deceased thug.  All eyes were on her, and a party was sure to commence momentarily.

Post by The Hustler 25th June 2017, 6:31 pm

It didn't take any longer than several seconds for the rest of the men to pick up their weapons and try to run down Adalia.  The closest thug, apart from the one who she had just killed, picked up a metal bat he had nearby, and watching him run towards Adalia was almost painful.  He was slow, predictable, and rose his weapon above his head way before he was in position to actually strike her; needless to say, Adalia was not impressed by such unskilled grunts.  As he brought down his bat, all she had to do was sidestep him, kick him in the back of his knee, and deliver a powerful chop to his neck, and he was instantly out.  The rest of the thugs were the same - slow, inefficient idiots.  It was still going to be tough, however; a lot of people were charging at her all at once, and she wasn't fully prepared to fight them without her weapons, so that would be the first goal.

They all came close - she'd have to make a quick move, but wasn't able to with the thugs coming in front of her.  She made a "tsk" noise, her facial expression very clearly unhappy.  She had to fight with current circumstances.  She used flight as a boost to jump above the heads of the two men in front of her, both wielding metal pipes for whatever reason, and then used her prowess to fly downwards, giving her more momentum, speed, and power as her feet descended upon their faces, practically curb stomping them and taking them out.  There were two of the men with blue coats instead of the typical black coming straight to her, one from her left and right.  The one from the left had tried to stab Adalia but she actually ran towards him and ducked, stepping behind him and kicking him into the other man, causing the former to stab the latter, and kill him as it was a heart stab.

From behind her, though, a man with a wooden bat smacked her right across the head, which dazed her and made her vision blurry once more.  She grasped her head but didn't have much time to rest as the man she had just kicked made an attempt to slash her, and succeeded, though it was only a small cut across her arm.  She was dizzy, and her movements represented this; she walked around clumsily for a moment before getting caught by an unarmed thug, who put her in a headlock.  She was being pushed around, but was able to flip over the thug over her shoulder using his own weight against him, which, coincidentally, meant that he was on top of the other thug holding a knife.  Coincidentally, there was a metal pipe next to her from one of the thugs she had defeated earlier; she picked it up and flew right across the ground to avoid any stray hits from the big men, and actually tripped the other thug that had nothing equipped.

Shew flew straight to the two downed men on top of each other, and before they could get up, knocked them out with a single powerful blow to the head each; she threw her pipe at the other unarmed, downed thug to knock him out, too.  She quickly looked scanned everywhere to count how many were left - a single armed thug and three unarmed thugs.  Her head was hurting and her arm was bleeding; Adalia was in a terrible mood at this point.  They all surrounded her, also in, to say the least, a bad mood for witnessing their comrades being defeated by a little girl, so they were fully prepared to kill.  They all lunged at her at once, and...

    BANG!

A loud noise, an explosion and smoke filled the room, which, if it hadn't already drawn attention to it, did now.  The men on the other side of the door slowly approached it only to back off once it was opened, and there was a tremendous amount of smoke coming from it.  They all waited, including the boss who hadn't left the building yet.  They stared at the room filled with smoke intently, unsure what was going to happen, though, the boss knew very well what was to come.

Out of the smoke came a young, short, cute blonde haired, blue eyed girl.  The side of her head was bleeding, and so was her left arm.  Her clothes were covered in blood and soot, and her eyes were a beautiful golden colour.  In her arms, she carried a rifle and a sword behind her in a sheathe.  She bore no expression, but turned it to a maniacal smile.  Adalia was fully ready to kill.

    STUFF GOING ON:
    Mana - 80% (10% used from Smokescreen)
CD - 1 post for Precise Incision
Current enemies - 15 (from second set of dice rolls.  3 punks, 6 armed punks and 5 street urchins and the boss remain)

Post by The Hustler 28th June 2017, 11:55 am

Her smile slowly dwindled down to a completely neutral expression.  Everyone stood still, motionless for several moments.  Without them knowing, Adalia had activated Rapidfire and shot down all six armed punks in an instant - too easy.  The three armed punks came charging at her with no real success; one was hit in the face with the butt of White Silver, while the other two were cut down in a mere instant.  The specially clothed thugs had seen enough and turned tail, running away in an instant.  "Some subordinates you have there."  The man who appeared to be running things around here was very clearly unnerved by the little girl in front of him.  The two stared at each other for a seemingly endless amount of time, though in reality it was only about five seconds.

The boss tried to get an advantage by pulling a weapon out of his coat, because all bosses wore trench coats, but was shot in the head by Adalia, who still bore a completely emotionless expression.  The blood of all the men covered her shoes, each step she took closer to the deceased boss of some small-time crime syndicate creating a "sploosh" or "splurt" sound.  She crouched down to see if she could find a key or identification of the man, but instead happened to find the jewelry she was looking for hidden in his coat.  Adalia was pleasantly surprised, and even genuinely smiled.  "Now all that's left is to give this to that man!"  She almost walked out of the building before stopping and realizing exactly how she looked like at this current time.

"...Right after I find a way to wash this all off." Interestingly enough, the only real damage her clothing received was the small rip from the knife cut she took earlier, and that would be very easy to patch up.
