Only the gods knew the reason why Takumi was chosen. Only the gods knew why Takumi of all people was special enough to take one of their places as a god of Olympus. It wasn't his abilities,
nor was it his looks, or anything superficial for that matter. It was his resolve, his sheer determination to always do what is right that made him special, the chosen vessel of the gods. Today was the day he would chose which god he would replace, and free from the burden of immortality forever. He knew who he would replace, though the gods did not. His nerves were clear to see as he stepped into the clearing deep inside spooky forest where he had been born. Thsi was where he would become a god. This is where he would cease to be mortal, cease to be a dragon slayer, and become a true god.
The short man looked nervously around the clearing, standing in the center of a circle made by the gods. Soon, but only after somebody else had arrived to witness his transformation besides the gods, the ceremony would start, and he would cease to be mortal. Deep down, Takumi wondered what his mother would think, and what Yazuki would think. Would they be proud? Would They shun him? He desperately hoped that once they knew they would accept the fact that he was now an immortal being. Or would be one soon anyhow.
