Mashyuu stood in the ring, waiting for is opponent to come onto the stage, his heart raced to see who he would be fighting next. Finally the rounds were coming down to the best of the best and even better, he was starting to be truly challenged. Not that the others hadn't challenged him but he had seen this woman fight before and she had made quick work of her opponents much in the same way he had made quick work of his. The God Slayer folded his arms over his chest and stood, watching and waiting for Mei. After a long wait the announcer started a count, signaling that if Mei didn't come to the ring and start soon she would be disqualified from the tournament. Without warning Mashyuu jumped forward and rolled to face whatever was behind him. A thin line of blood appeared on the side of his neck, curved and almost reached his throat. Across from him in a pink skirted ninja garb Mei with her sword drawn and bloody appeared. "It seems you can sense even the slightest vibrations and react. Much quicker than I thought you would at that. I clearly didn't move fast enough to land the killing blow. But I can promise you that it won't happen again. The next strike I make will end your life Mashyuu, Sabertooth Wizard and destroyer of Gods." Mashyuu grinned wide and shrugged his shoulders happily. "Sweetie if I had a jewel for every time I heard that then I wouldn't have to be a Wizard, working for a living anymore. I could retire and take you out on a date." Mashyuu winked at the woman then blew her a kiss. While a light blush covered her cheeks anger clearly ran through her as well when she whispered a spells name and then charged Mashyuu.

Mei got within striking distance of Mashyuu and the brown haired man swiped his arm in a chopping motion, seemingly striking the woman until he realized what her spell did. He cut his hand through air as a tile from the arena appeared where she was and Mei came flying down at Mashyuu with her sword leveled at his shoulder to go straight through his torso. Mashyuu quickly kicked off the ground with his spiked boots and fell backwards. He swung his leg up and drove it into Mei's shoulder, sending her flipping backwards to land in a crouch while Mashyuu landed and spun to the haunches of his feet. The fighters had a few exchanges and were starting to understand one another and how they reacted. Mei tended to use illusions to distract and make a single lethal strike while Mashyuu was a brawler through and through, but clearly used his slayer enhanced senses to their fullest when he wasn't sure of what was happening around him. Both fighters glared at one another while Mashyuu flexed his hands and got ready for the surely upcoming battle the two were about to have. Her sword looked lethal, like one Kenna would use but he wasn't going to let that stop him. He just needed one good shot. Or at least he thought he only needed one.

The two charged each other and Mei held her blade out as if to stab but was using it to measure distance. When Mashyuu's foot passed the tip of the blade Mei sprung up and brought her knees to her impressive chest. The motion gave Mashyuu pause enough for Mei to spring her feet out and slam them into Mashyuu's chest, almost pushing him backwards. She back flipped off him and brought her blade up, dragging it at an angle through the air to cut Mashyuu's chest. One hand grabbed her blade thanks to the metal in the tips of the gloved fingers. He stopped the blade as wind kicked up around his free fist. "You messed up! Sky Breaker!" He shouted while swinging his fist straight into Mei's chest, the impact knocking her away from him and half way across the arena. Mashyuu lifted the blade that Mei had dropped and tossed it out of the ring so that she would need to ring herself out in order to retrieve the weapon. "The fight's over, your weapon is gone." Mashyuu warned. Mei simply started to laugh while rubbing her eyes and coming to stand straight up. "No Mashyuu, you just sealed your fate."

Mei bit her finger till blood dripped from it then let the blood run down her hand and pressed it to the ground. The tiles under her lit up and created a symbol of blood red color. From it a large hand came out of a portal and started to move towards Mashyuu. The brown haired man took a half step back and winced internally. "A summoning Wizard? Her sword turned her invisible and used the teleporting ability!" Mashyuu bent his knees and jumped up high, changing into a bolt of electricity. Quickly the bolt made a quick turn and slammed into Mei, knocking her back another few paces towards the edge of the ring. The golden streak changed back into Mashyuu as he landed on the ground and activated the second ability in his parents old clothes. "Alright, Quick Silver!" His skin was washed in a silver flexible metal. As the massive animated fist drove into Mashyuu his armor reflected the strike back, knocking the creature away from him. Mashyuu stomped his foot on the ground and shouted. "You get to see a new trick of mine Mei. Secret Art: Earth Gods Meteor Blasts!" A small volcano exploded out of the ground behind Mashyuu and launched a ball of solid magma into Mei, burning her so badly that in her attempt to cool her body she fell out of the ring and hit the ground hard. "A great fight, come back and try again when you're ten years stronger." Mashyuu posed for the crowd and waited a moment then walked off stage...

A CHARITY IN A LIE † job, mashyuu - Page 2 Empty Re: A CHARITY IN A LIE † job, mashyuu

Post by Wolfe 23rd June 2017, 6:16 am

Wolfe had just taken his seat in the waiting area just like the day before, and once again just like before he got comfortable as he watched all the other fights of the day making sure to note all the relevant fighters that won their matches and were moving on to the next round. He was starting to see where the difference in the fighters that were moving on to the next rounds. Wolfe made sure to pay more attention to the fighting styles of the winners this time more so than anything. If he was going to advance in the next few rounds without giving too much away about himself, than he was going to have to find ways to get around their fighting styles rather than out preform them himself.

Wolfe sat through the back half of the day and watched the final half of the day’s fights. Wolfe didn’t see anything that really stood out, but that was ok. He knew that a lot of the good fighters had be thinking like he was and hiding any and all their good tricks for when they were needed the most. However, as he did watch there were a few mages that catch his eye slightly and more than one of them was in his bracket. He knew he would have to watch out for them more so than anyone else as he didn’t know what kind of magics they used and how strong they were, as they might be holding back just like he was. Either way he would have to give it more thought but it seemed the day had run it’s course and it was time to head out. Wolfe left the arena with the intent on heading back to the inn and getting some food much like the night before.

Once Wolfe was back at the inn and sitting in the tavern at the bar, he placed his order of his dinner and waited again for the man to show up so he could talk a little with him before heading to bed. It didn’t take long for the man to how up as Wolfe had just received his first plate of food. The two talked about many different topics such as mages, the state of Fiore, and about some of the larger cities. The man did most of the talking and Wolfe listened as he soaked up all the information he could from what the young man was saying. Since Wolfe couldn’t remember anything this was an educational experience. However, he did take a lot of the information with a grain of salt as each person had their own views and opinions on everything. The food and talk took about two hours and afterwards it was about time for the two men to head to bed, so they departed from the tavern and made their ways to their rooms. Wolfe once again laid his head down to another calm night and good rest with thoughts of his potential opponent for tomorrow’s match.

Wolfe got a good night sleep once again and woke up in the morning ready and refreshed for the days fight. Like the two mornings before he continued his routine and headed down to the tavern and took a seat at the bar. Once again he was the first down and was well into his large breakfast when he was joined by the young man. The two talked over breakfast continuing about a lot of the same topics a the night before and when they were done they rounded up their stuff and headed out to make their way to the arena like the mornings before. Just like before they made their way to the same point where they split path and Wolfe headed to the waiting area in the back to check his place for the day on the board. Wolfe came to find his match was even later than the day before and he was the next to last match of the day, so he took his seat in the same place and once again observed as the first match of the day was called.

Wolfe watched as the matches went by one by one and took note as some of the better fighters were starting to have to show their colors against some of the nastier match ups. Wolfe made sure to take ne mental notes of these and make sure to remember the ones that really concerned him. However, some of the fighters were still getting paired up against beast like Wolfe had been the last two matches, so he assumed they were newer fighters like himself. Wolfe would have rather the tougher fights for the thrill, but at the same time the easy fights meant easy money, and in the end he was here to help the young man get money so it was the for the better that it was this way. The fights were fun to watch to a degree but Wolfe was getting restless and wanted to get his match underway as soon as he could. Wolfe managed to keep himself contained until it was finally time for his match. Like the days before he made his way to the gate area and upon it opening he made his way into the arena and prepared for his match. Just like the day before he watched as the other gate opened and out flew another creature into the air. Wolfe got a good look at the creature but wasn’t exactly sure what to make of it. It seemed like the creature was a leopard type creature with the spots and all, but it had tall ears and wings. Wolfe could only assume the beast would be good at both land and air combat so he would have to watch out.

Wolfe took to the defensive quickly as the beast made the first attack. As it swooped in with a flying swipe at Wolfe he tucked and rolled to the side to dodge the attack. Wolfe could see this was going to be a pain in the ass as the beast was very quick and he was going to have to find a way to ground the beast so it didn’t have both speed and range at it’s disposal. Wolfe didn’t have a lot of time to think over a quick idea yet as the beast swooped in for another swipe attack and Wolfe had to duck and roll out of the way again to avoid the attack. Wolfe knew this was just going to be a game of tuck and roll over and over again till he took this thing’s ability to fly away. So Wolfe dashed over towards the wall and stopped so he was just far enough away so the beast could still make a flying swoop at him but close enough that if he could mess it up it would fly into the wall behind him. Wolfe stood ready as he saw the beast make a pass around him and then start it’s decent for another attack. Wolfe prepped himself and t the last second instead of tucking and rolling again he just sidestepped and shifted his body to spin with the step. As he did he reached out and grabbed the beast’s back leg as it flew by and shifted all his weight to pull back as it tried to fly up and away and took a step towards the wall and shifted his weight again to kind of throw the beast towards the wall. As Wolfe let go the beast tried to fly up still but because of Wolfe pulling it down it didn’t quite make the height of the wall and slammed into the wall near to the top and fell to the ground.

Wolfe took a second to look over the beast as it landed on the ground. He could tell from the way the beast had hit the wall his wing was hurt, but there was no permeant damage. Wolfe knew he needed to close the gap between him and the beast so as it was getting back up Wolfe dashed at it. Just as Wolfe reached the beast it had gathered itself faster than Wolfe had anticipated and took a swipe at Wolfe and he was caught off guard as he was making his own swing at the beast and both attacks connected. Wolfe’s right hook connected with the beast’s head and it’s head smacked into the wall, but the swipe hit Wolfe in the side and sent Wolfe flying a few meters back and he landed on his back. As Wolfe did a kip up he looked down to hi side and noticed three slashes from the beast’s claws, but they weren’t that deep so they would heal pretty quickly, and they didn’t really hurt. He looked over to the beast who was just recovering itself and was not turning to look at Wolfe. It lowered it’s body as it got ready to pounce Wolfe, and he took a step back and prepped for the attack.

A moment later the beast sprung it’s attack and leapt at Wolfe, but he was ready and he caught the beat’s front legs just above the paws so it couldn’t wipe down at him and Wolfe fell backwards with the momentum of the beast and raised his knee as he fell on his back so his knee was between his body and the beast’s. He then kicked his leg up as he landed on his back throwing the beast up and flipping it into the air, but Wolfe held onto it’s front legs so it couldn’t flip it’s body over and it landed on it’s back with a thud. Wolfe then rolled back and on top of the beast on it’s back as he released the beast’s legs and was now mounted on top of the beast on it’s back. Wolfe then started in as he swung a right hook followed by a left hook into the beast’s jaw, and continued to repeat this as the beast tried to flail lose. After a few solid hits the beast’s body finally went limp and Wolfe slowly go off the body as the announcer started to yell over the speakers that Wolfe was the winner. Wolfe took a look around for a second before making his way over to the gate and then to the back waiting area to wait for the last few matches of the day.

Post by Wolfe 26th June 2017, 3:16 pm

Wolfe sat waiting for the last few rounds to finish like the days before, but he was lucky and since his match was almost at the end of the day he didn’t have to wait long before the last match was over and it was time for the fighters to leave. Wolfe gathered himself and headed out to make his way back to the inn and tavern to get himself some food and a good night’s rest. Wolfe made his way back to the inn and immediately went to the tavern and food a spot at the bar, and like the nights before the same young woman came around to take his order. Once again just like the nights before just after his food arrived the young man showed up and took his seat next to Wolfe and the two talked while they ate. This night Wolfe changed up the subject topic to something a little different and asked about everything the man could tell him about the recent history of Fiore. As the young man went on about everything he could remember off the top of his head, Wolfe made sure to note a few topics of interest he would look into more once he had a little free time. Among the topics a few of them seemed like they might be more important than others and maybe be worth looking into as maybe he might have had some ties to it in the time before his memory went dark.

After a couple of hours and a good meal, Wolfe parted way with the young man and found his way to his room and soon after to his bed. The night passed calm just like the nights before and once again Wolfe woke up in the morning feeling very refreshed. Once up Wolfe did his morning routine but he made sure to pay a little extra attention this morning to the small wounds he had received from the night before but they had healed almost completely away by the morning. Wolfe had spent a little time focusing his magic to heal himself just before bed and it looked like it worked. Wolfe was an elemental so his physical body was a lot different than that of a normal human’s. Wolfe was still getting used to a lot of his magic, but one of the few things Ardere had made time to explain to Wolfe was they both he and Wolfe were elementals, and there for their bodies were made of the very element they were sprung life from. In Wolfe’s case it seemed he was made of lightning itself, and thus he could charge, heal, and power up from lightning. Wolfe was still getting used to the idea, but he did have to admit that as strange as it might be, and dispite the fact his mind was full of questions on how and why, the fact of the matter was that it came in handy and it helped to know anything short of lethal wounds were mendable with only a little energy and a little refuel in the form of either pure lightning, or electricity, or with something his body could break down for energy such as a large amount of food. In this case Wolfe had every intention. Just like the night before, indulging himself in a little bit in the latter of the two options with some breakfast.

Wolfe made his way down for breakfast after a few and once again he was the first down and first to order and well into his meal by the time more people were making their way in for breakfast as well. The young man made his way down also after a few and took his place next to Wolfe like normal and got himself some food and the two enjoyed their breakfast together. After breakfast the two set out and made their way to the arena and once again parted ways just before arriving. Wolfe made his way to the back and took a second to check his place fighting today and he was fairly early in the day like he had been the first day. However, today was different and it seemed his name was paired with a human name today which made him realize he would be fighting an actual person today, and not some beast. This filled Wolfe with some hope and for once he was energized and looking forward to the fight today, but on the other hand that meant this person had also made it to the fourth round and that meant they too were a decent fighter at worst. The idea of the fight enthralled Wolfe, but also made him a bit concerned as that meant he would be in for a good fight. As much as he was looking forward to a good fight, it also meant he would have to use more of his powers and be far more carful than he had been so far. A lot more was at stake this round than in the rounds before this.

It didn’t take long before the first few fights of the day were over and it was now time for Wolfe’s fight of the day. Wolfe got up and made his way to the gate and as soon as it opened he made his way into the arena with the announcer yelling on about Wolfe as he entered. Only a few moments went by before the other gate across the arena opened and from the darkness emerged a young woman. Wolfe didn’t catch much of the announcer’s yelling about the young girl besides her name being Lacey. From what Wolfe could make out she was young, Wolfe had to guess about his age, and was a more than a few inches shorter than himself. She had black hair and had from what he could make could was a slightly smaller frame, but he could tell instantly that despite her frame she was a lot tougher than she looked, and he could feel magic power radiating from her. The latter meant she was either just an extremely magically connected human or a mage, and he was more than sure she was a mage. Since was more than sure she was a mage, that meant he was going to really have to put his best foot forward if he both wanted to beat her, and at the same time try to hold back as much as he could as to not show off all his tricks he was saving up for the big nasty fight at the end. Wolfe had every intent on making his way to the masked fighter that was undefeated, and putting him down.

A few moments later the announcer yelled that the match was on and then without hesitation the young woman lacey started the match by waving her hand and creating a wall of ice shards and with the flick of her wrist she sent them flying at Wolfe. Wolfe knew now that he was obviously dealing with an ice mage, but obviously she was not playing games and Wolfe was going to have to give this fight a little more than he wanted. Wolfe was forced to phase shift through the attack and make a mad dash right at the young mage. Just before he reached the her she jumped back and landed in a kneeling position and slammed her hand onto the ground and a huge wall of ice shot up between Wolfe and her and Wolfe was forced to pull his arm back and slam into it at full speed as he swung his arm forward and slammed it with all the force he could with his full forearm. Wolfe was hoping to shatter the wall and in the chaos he might be able to get a shot in, but the wall didn’t shatter, instead it spider web cracked the entire wall. Wolfe’s plan was shot but in a moment of frustration he lifted his right leg and gave the wall a push kick and shattered it everywhere. However, the girl was already waiting with a new spell as she threw two ice ball grenades through the flying ice shards right at Wolfe. As they exploded in midair they sent the shards in the air flying everywhere, most of them at Wolfe. In another moment of frustration Wolfe grunted as he threw out his arms focused all his energy into a burst of magic that shot out from Wolfe outward creating a burst of magic that shot outwards from Wolfe like a wave of energy that deflected all the shards away from Wolfe and in every other direction. A few even flew at the young mage, and she had to tuck and roll out of the way to avoid getting hit by the shards.

Wolfe knew he needed to figure out a way through her onslaught of spells if he intended to end this. However, there was a part of him that didn’t want to hurt her even if she was a mage, and aim for his blood. Then it hit Wolfe how he would have to win this round and he humped back a few feet as she watched as she was already finishing off a new spell and a few seconds later from a layer of ice that appeared on the ground a dragon of ice arose from it into the air with a roar as it turned it’s head to look right at Wolfe. Wolfe just shook his head, as it was obvious this girl had a huge bag of tricks and this one was not fun one for him. The dragon suddenly shot through the air right at Wolfe and he tucked and rolled out of the way, but just as head of the beast flew by Wolfe and he thought he had been able to dodge the beast it whipped it’s tail and smacked Wolfe ending him flying into the wall. Wolfe hit the wall and fell to the ground with a thud. Wolfe jumped to his feet as he watched the beast turning in the air as it was going to try and make another pass at him obviously. Wolfe instead of waiting made a mad dash at the young mage, who was prepping with a new spell already and as Wolfe approached her she began to make slices through the air with her hands and as she did, blades of ice shot out of hands and at Wolfe. Wolfe tucked and rolled out of the way as he was wasting a little time to wait for the ice dragon to turn around and begin it’s decent to attack Wolfe again. Wolfe waited till the last second and then phase shifted two times and after the second one he was standing behind the young mage. The dragon who was fly at Wolfe suddenly shifted out of the way to not hit her and slammed into the wall and shattered everywhere.

Wolfe was now standing behind Lacey and just as she went to turn to try and attack Wolfe he reached out and grabbed her wrist and moved with her as he stepped up right up to her and locked her arm in place. As she went to struggle Wolfe grabbed her other arm and slipped his arm up under it and locked it up so it couldn’t move as he fell backwards and brought her with him. As he landed on his back he rolled her and himself to lock her legs with his and slide one of his arms around her neck as he was now trying to choke her out. The young mage began to focus her magic and began to freeze her body to hurt Wolfe who was holding on to her, but Wolfe refused to let go as he gritted through the pain. Then slowly her flailing started to slow and then stop as her body went limp, and the ice stopped. Wolfe removed his arm from her neck and checked her pulse to make sure she was fine. After a few seconds he found her pulse and then slowly released her from the hold he had her in and stood up, breaking chunks of ice off himself as he did. After her body laid limp there for  few more seconds the announcer finally came on over the system to announce Wolfe the winner as she was passed out and no longer able to fight. Wolfe kneeled next to her body and picked her up in her arms as he then made his way out of the arena and into the back area. He then laid her body down somewhere comfortable so she would wake up a little later. Wolfe then walked over to his normal spot and took  seat to watch the rest of the day’s fights.

Post by Wolfe 26th June 2017, 6:58 pm

Once again like the days before Wolfe watched the rest of the day’s matches as he waited for the young woman Lacey to wake up. After a few hours Lacey woke up and after a few angry words Wolfe and her talked for a bit before she left and Wolfe watched out the rest of the day. At the end of day he repeated his normal routine and made his way back to the inn and was working on his dinner when the young man made his way up to Wolfe and the two ate dinner together as they talked. After dinner Wolfe made his way to his room and went to bed and once got a good night’s sleep. The next morning he once again made his way down before everyone and got himself breakfast and was digging in well before anyone else made their way in for food. Like the mornings before the young man eventually joined Wolfe and the two of them ate and them made their way to the arena.

Wolfe made his way to the back and once there checked to find his match was in the middle of the pack. However, by this point a lot of the contestants were knocked out so it wouldn’t take long for his match to come up. Just as Wolfe had figured his match came along after not too long, and he was making his way to the gate in no time. As the gate opened he made his way into the arena and waited as a few moments later the other gate opened and from the darkness flew out the same black dragon creature he had fought only like two days ago. Wolfe just assumed that some monsters were rotated to be used again with new fighters like himself. However, this time he had no intent on wasting any time and as soon as the beast was in the arena Wolfe dashed at it before it could get any air and phase shifted onto it’s back and instantly plopped down on it’s neck as he stated to wail on the back of it’s head. Wolfe started by punching it in both eyes so it had no clue where it was flying and after a few more hits from Wolfe the dragon flew head first into the wall and plummeted to the ground and landed with a thud. As the beast hit the ground Wolfe jumped from it’s back and hit the ground and tucked into a roll. As soon as he was up he ran over to the dragon that was starting to move and roundhouse kicked the dragon right in the head and with that last hit the dragon went limp and the match was over.

Wolfe heard as the announcer started yelling out about Wolfe was the winner and how he had one of the fastest matches of the whole tournament so far. Wolfe just turned and walked over to the gate and made his way to the back to the waiting area and sat out the rest of the day like he normally did.

A CHARITY IN A LIE † job, mashyuu - Page 2 Empty Re: A CHARITY IN A LIE † job, mashyuu

Post by redheadedstepchild 26th June 2017, 10:37 pm

Mashyuu decided that he wasn't going to waste the day away watching the fights this time. If there was anything he missed he would be able to improvise. But his fights were done, all he would have to do is fight along side the other winner against the current champ who was so overconfident that he wanted to fight two at once. Mashyuu chuckled to himself while he walked over towards a local stand to get bite to eat. As much as he loved to munch on stone he was glad his body could handle more than just dirt and light. Mashyuu grabbed a few hotdogs and a large soda, Imai would be proud of him for putting the junk in his belly then stared to walk around to see what else he could find while eating. Surely there would be something more than just the fighting happening right? It would be insane for the people running this thing to not allow vendors and others to show up to make a bit of money when there was a large crowd that had to pay to just get in anyway. Mashyuu started to walk around the arena when he heard rapid foot steps echoing and coming from behind him. He started to turn and face whatever was coming at him when suddenly something jumped atop his back and wrapped slender but strong arms around his body. "Mashyuu! You are doing great out there! I've been watching all of your fights." Itsu said while hugging Mashyuu. The God Slayer started to laugh and reached back to rub the top of Itsu's greenish colored hair. "Thanks Itsu, but I still have one more major fight to deal with. I don't know how to go about it though." He admitted at last. Without seeing the champ fight it was hard to make a strategy, yet he had managed to watch every fight and would surely be coming in with some sort of strategy to fight the others. The thought bugged Mashyuu, what made this guy so powerful? Was it the armor or was it something else? Only time would tell and soon the Wizard would find out. "Just so you know, Kenna had to leave along with Imai. They were called off to do a job by Kite. Something to do with a woman trapped inside a crystal. If anyone can do it, it's Imai and Kenna. But I'll still be rooting you on. Now give me one of those dogs so we can go see what is being sold here."  Itsu said while gesturing to a few stands with different items in each stand. Mashyuu handed her a hot dog and the pair started to walk around the arena's side walk together, the way things used to be. "So, Mashyuu. You never did tell me what it was like to be saved by a Goddess after you thought you were gonna die. What exactly did that cult want from you?" Itsu asked, knowing only that she was revived from the dead as a means to torment Mashyuu further in his life. A long sigh escaped Mashyuu's lungs as he recalled the moments leading up to his near death. It should have been his death really. Kanix and Mashyuu were returning to their home after a hard fought job. They thought that they had put an end to the cult of the elemental Demon. A cult who wanted to revive a Demon who had control over all the elements. The Demon needed a blood sacrifice from a spell caster that commanded each of the elements. Kanix being a Water using Wizard and Mashyuu an Earth Wizard respectfully where the final peaces of the puzzles. In the air a magical blast hit the Dragon Mashyuu was riding on, dropping it out of the sky, then a series of blasts from behind hit Kanix, killing her in an instant. Mashyuu, his pet dragon and his wife hit the ground and everything went to black. A few months later Mashyuu awoke, unsure of who or where he was, he crawled out of a pit that he had created when he landed against the ground and he crawled to a small pond to look at himself. He had changed and knew it when he caught a glimpse of his new, glowing blue eyes. Mefitis spoke to him, telling him that he couldn't use the same magic he used to because she was now giving him power over earth. He was being kept alive by a Goddess who was put inside of him instead of a Demon. The cult had messed up... Mashyuu told Itsu the short story in order to not get into many of the details, or remember how lost he felt and how he only returned to Sabertooth's guild hall where his memories started to recover because he was so close to the area when he was shot down. He hated remembering how much it hurt to lose her and how much he wanted to have her again. It was even worse because Kanix was brought back to life as well and forgot who he was completely. He had to watch as Kanix left him, the rings they had that were powered by their love for one another crumbled to dust as she walked out of his life, never to be seen again. Itsu frowned and shyly looked down at the ground, trying to keep herself from crying. "Mashyuu.... I'm sorry I even asked. Can you forgive me?" Mashyuu in turn laughed and ate another dog. "Itsu, there is nothing to apologize for, you should know what happened. We are best friends!" Itsu hugged the God Slayer and pointed out towards a booth that was selling plush dolls of the fighters. "Mashyuu, look. They are selling dolls of you!" Mashyuu turned to look with a skeptical look on his face as if he didn't want to believe it to be true. How did they manage to make dolls of him already? Mashyuu dropped his hot dogs and ran over to a booth and looked at the display. There they were, all the fighters from the tournament. The champ, Wolfe, the monsters and Mashyuu just to name a few.

"Where did you get these? I almost feel like I was violated!" Mashyuu shouted while he looked the dolls over then looked at the merchant who was running the shop. The keep laughed and extended his hand at Mashyuu. "Great to meet ya! I made these dolls with my toy make magic. That is why you only see one of each on display. If you pay for the toy I cast my spell and hand you a freshly made one! It's a fantastic little way to make a few extra bucks don't ya think?" The shop keep asked and Mashyuu dug into his pocket to buy a toy of himself. His last one had been destroyed when Sabertooth's guild hall fell. "Hahah Good choice my friend! Here you are!" The man clapped a hand atop his palm and lifted it slowly. A magical light filled the space and a doll formed in his hand. Mashyuu slammed the jewel on the counter and the shop keeper put the toy in the God Slayers hand quickly. Itsu took the toy out of Mashyuu's hand and stuck her tongue out at him. "I'll keep it safe while you have your last fight. You better win and show the world what Sabertooth's best team is capable of. Especially since your the leader of the team!"  Itsu teased. Mashyuu chuckled and nodded his head. "Alright, don't let anything happen to me right?" Itsu gave him a thumbs up and winked. "Don't I always?" It was true, sort of. The pair had really learned how to work together since Itsu discovered she had the ability to use magical powers. Mashyuu and Itsu turned around and started to walk back to the seating area that the beauty had been at, talking about what they would do after the tournament and if it would be a job or just a lazy day. There weren't many of those for the team and Mashyuu was taking on Imai and Kenna as a pair of apprentices in order to help them along their way in the realm of magical power. Once Itsu was seated Mashyuu shook the hands of a few fans then raced down to the waiting room to get ready for his fight. The runners of the tournament gave Wolfe some time to recover before the final fight and once it was time, a group of horns blared, announcing that the final battle was about to begin. Two guards walked out and stood next to the arena, a large box rested on a table between the pair of guards while the announcer stepped to the ring to get ready to call out the challengers first. A wide grin crossed his face and he lifted his microphone to his mouth, it was about to start...

A CHARITY IN A LIE † job, mashyuu - Page 2 Empty Re: A CHARITY IN A LIE † job, mashyuu

Post by redheadedstepchild 28th June 2017, 10:29 pm

"Ladies and Gentlemen this is it! The moment you have all been waiting for. Five terribly difficult fights have brought us to this final round. It is with great honor I would like to call to the ring the finalists of the tournament. Mashyuu and Wolfe!" The announcer made a grand gesture with his free hand to the ramp that was used to step up to the ring, Mashyuu came out of the waiting room, a flash of light changed his brown gi to a pair of black pants, a red tee shirt and a vest with no sleeves. His spiked boots clacked on the stone tile arena and stopped as he stood in the corner of the ring and waited for Wolfe to join him. Mashyuu extended his hand and shook the hand of Wolfe. "Good fights, can't say I'm looking forward to what is coming but this might be fun." Mashyuu greeted under his breath while he glanced about the crowd, the sheer amount of cheers and boos they were receiving was enough to make Mashyuu squirm if not for the fact that he was standing as straight as he could to show some sort of calm, control over the entire situation. "And now, the challengers are in the ring and with great pleasure I call to the ring, the world Champion, The Barron!" The announcer called out. Mashyuu hadn't heard the mans name before that point but he couldn't help but snicker at the name. It was so silly, yet as the man stepped towards the stage Mashyuu started to silence himself. His power is insane, I don't know if I can take him... I've only ever been around this sort of magical energy a few times in both my lives and thank the Gods they were on my side... Okay, I can do this...Right? Yeah I got it, this guy isn't anything special. No not to me. Sabertooth Wizards are as strong as one hundred normal Wizards. This is nothing... Mashyuu thought to himself while slapping his face and plastering a smile to it. Mashyuu's glowing blue eyes darted over to Wolfe and the God Slayer patted the shock white haired Wizards shoulder. "Okay, Rock, Paper Scissors to see who fights him first. If I win I'll get rid of his armor and set him up for you to jump in and finish the guy off. Sound good?" The two Wizards played a quick game and much to Mashyuu's despair he had won. He didn't feel fear often but for some reason, this Barron had put a fear into Mashyuu with simply his magical power alone. Mashyuu checked his gear, reached down to his left boot and patted the dagger Itsu had given him a few days ago and made sure it was in place, then his gloves and bracers, anything to make sure that the God Slayer wouldn't go into the fight at any more disadvantages. Mashyuu and the Barron stepped to the center of the ring and the Announcer went over the rules, ensuring that the fight would be good by stating that if a fighter went out of the ring they would have a ten count to re-enter the combat zone. Both fighters signaled they understood and jumped back as the fight had at last began.

Mashyuu jumped back while pointing his left hand out towards Barron and his web bow appeared in his hand. The moment Mashyuu touched down he pulled the string back and released it, shouting as he did so. "Lets go, Hail of Arrows!" Mashyuu's bow unleashed a cone of arrows that smashed into the armor of the Barron, seemingly doing no damage to the fighter, then again Mashyuu didn't really think it would, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? The Barron pushed his right foot forward and charged Mashyuu, his hand on his sword, dragging the weapon up out of the scabbard to try and drive into the God Slayers gut. Mashyuu opened his palm and put it out, catching the pommel of the weapon with his hand and winced, the sheer strength of the man was enough to match Mashyuu's enhanced powers, maybe even be more than that. It was clearly going to take all of Mashyuu's tricks, spells and skills to break this guy's armor and set him up for Wolfe to bring down. Mashyuu's free hand came up and his elbow went smashing down, Barron side stepped just enough to evade but Mashyuu used his own momentum to fling his body around and drove his spiked foot into the back of the Barron's head, the helmet kept him safe for the most part but still rung the mans bell for a moment. Barron broke away first and his eyes glared out at Mashyuu from behind the helmet, making the God Slayer's blood run cold. In just a very quick exchanged the two had shown they weren't going to go all out just yet, instead they would feel one another out and strike when it was their advantage was at its peak. Both men took a few deep breaths of air and started to circle one another. Barron whipped his sword around, letting it cut air, showing he had the edge on reach thanks to his weapon. Mashyuu was going to have to do something about that if he were going to have any chance of winning the fight. Then again, maybe that was the point. Mashyuu didn't really need to win, he just needed to tire the guy out so Wolfe could make the final blow. Both men rushed one another, Mashyuu sprang up a short distance and threw a kick with his right foot, spinning all the way around as Barron stopped short and pulled his body back. However as he moved in for a lunge, Mashyuu brought his left leg up while his right leg planted and drove his foot firmly into the Barron's chest, leaving a print on his armor from the impact of the blow. At the same time Mashyuu lifted his right arm at the elbow and commanded his first spell. "Earth Gods Rock Wall!" The ground under Barron shot up, throwing the man backwards and with luck to the ground hard, yet luck wasn't on Mashyuu's side as the Barron was mostly ready and managed to do a back flip, evading the trip, even if barely.

As Barron connected with the ground he pulled his blade back then thrust it forward like a lance. "Heat Spear!" He shouted, breaking through Mashyuu's rock wall with more than enough force to alert Mashyuu. The God Slayer jumped back and brought his hands up, part of the arena came up with the gesture and clamped down around Mashyuu's body. "Earth Gods Stone Armor!" The stone slammed around Mashyuu's body until the Wizard was covered up to his neck in stone. An intense blast of heat drove into Mashyuu's chest, nearly knocking him back from the impact and the God Slayer fell to a knee. Stone fell off of his armor, a massive black scorch mark marred his stone suit as he realized that his armor was almost halfway destroyed from the single attack. That was with Mefitis, the Goddess of Earth that had been enhancing Mashyuu's magical abilities efforts put into the armor as well. Mashyuu stood up on a set of shaking legs only to find Barron rushing through the rubble of the stone wall faster than most would deem possible. Barron threw his knee up into Mashyuu's exposed face, knocking the God Slayer almost senseless from the strike, for an instant Mashyuu was blind and falling backwards but Barron caught the Wizard by the hair, wrong move. "Lightning Leap!" He shouted as golden sparks jumped off Mashyuu's body before he became a living blast of electricity and ripped through Barron, traveling through the fighters armor and out the other side, reforming high above the stunned and electrocuted fighter. Mashyuu lifted both legs and stomped down hard onto Barron's shoulders, trying to dislocate them while springing back in a flip. Barron stumbled forward while Mashyuu charged forward once again, this time tackling Barron in the small of the back, not wanting to give the man a chance to use another ability from his sword. Barron laughed and twisted, slamming the handle of his weapon into the spine of Mashyuu, shattering what was left of his armor, causing it to crumble to dust. What Barron hadn't noticed though was that the dirt from the stone wall Mashyuu created earlier had slithered up the God Slayers body to form a second skin. Barron wrapped an arm around Mashyuu and twisted while lifting the God Slayer off his feet. Turned out there really was a first time for everything. Barron slammed Mashyuu down into the arena ground hard enough to crack the stone under the God Slayer. Suddenly a flash exploded off of Mashyuu as sand exploded off of his body and smashed into Barron, the surprise not enough to destroy the armor but enough to shock Barron back a few paces. Mashyuu crawled to his feet while groaning from the terrible pain the ground put through him. Who would have thought that the earth he controlled would betray him in such a way. At that moment the crowd exploded into cheers for the fight thus far. Normally Mashyuu would have said he was just getting warmed up but the God Slayer had started to fight warm and was now starting to worry. His foe left very few openings in his attacks due to his speed, showing Mashyuu that the man was fast even with the heavy armor wrapped around his body.

Barron grinned behind his helmet and took up his weapon again only to slip it back into the scabbard and take a power stance. Magical energy rose from the man as intense heat shot up around him. Mashyuu took a half step back and screamed with rage, golden light pulsed off his body, changing his hair color to gold to match the light while it also slowly started to heal the God Slayer. "You get to taste my magic! Consider yourself lucky, I haven't had a need to use it in years! Try this first, Heat Aura!" He shouted then charged forward. Mashyuu could feel the heat rising off of the man's body and started to back pedal in order to stay one step ahead of the magical power the man was radiating. Swing after swing and Mashyuu was barely able to keep ten feet away from the man, he wouldn't be able to keep it up forever though and needed to get away quick. Mashyuu preformed a back handspring and landed, creating five stone versions of himself to explode up out of the ground, one of them wrapping around the God Slayer. All at once the five figures rolled away from Barron, making the man roar with annoyance. He charged again and jumped straight through one of the fakes, turning it to ash from the heat of his aura while he fell out of the ring and rolled to a stop, the grass in his path exploded into flames for a quick moment until his aura died down, leaving a black streak in its wake. The four stone figures rolled to the center of the ring and crumbled away, leaving Mashyuu standing on the far end, opposite of where Baron had attacked. The Fire using Wizard jumped back into the ring and snarled at the cheap trick Mashyuu had used, but it bought him a bit of time, as needed. Barron cracked his neck and started to bounce on his feet, Mashyuu smiled and pushed his hand forward, launching three stone pillars into the man from just in front of his legs, knocking Barron back out of the ring. Mashyuu had some heat of his own and the terrible Barron was about to find out. As Barron stumbled backwards out of the ring Mashyuu rushed to the edge of the arena and waved his hand as if he were going to slap Barron. "Earth Gods Molten Wave!" A large tidal wave like blast of molten stone exploded out of the ground and collided with Barron, sending him sliding backwards again, this time being forced into the ramp of the arena, that was starting to smoke and melt from the molten stone. Casually, just to act as if he had everything under control, Mashyuu walked away, back to the center of the ring, still wanting a fair fight. It was a tough battle but things were starting to look up for Mashyuu. His golden light died away, leaving him far less injured than he was only a few short moments ago while Barron was forced to climb up into the arena again, dripping molten stone all the while.

Both men were starting to look gassed from the fight, Mashyuu had two tricks left up his sleeve, one would shatter the armor but first he had to mold it to his will. Mashyuu placed his hands together and created a ball of earth that started to spin in his hands rapidly. "You're in for a treat Barron. Can't say the same for your armor though. WOLFE, You're up soon man, be ready!.... Okay its ready. Secret Art: Earth Gods Magma Cutter!" The stone Mashyuu had started to spin became molten hot and warped to look like a buzz saw that floated at Mashyuu's right hand while his left hand reached down and grabbed the dagger Itsu used to use often. With all his might, Mashyuu hurled the weapon out at Barron, forcing him to move in order to evade. That was it, Mashyuu moved his right hand out and the cutter shot forward like it was on a track and smashed into the armor, leaving a long red cut up the center of it and the helmet Barron wore. Barron couldn't believe that he was getting pushed around the way he was, or that he had been tricked by the quick move of Mashyuu, showing that he was more skilled than Barron gave him credit for. Mashyuu rushed forward, swinging his cutter out rapidly again. This time to keep Barron on the defensive and that was just what happened. Barron drew his blade and used it to deflect strike after strike from Mashyuu's cutter until the thing had had enough and clattered to the ground but that left Mashyuu at close range with Barron for a sneak attack. "Time to show you what I learned from the tournament I was in. Super Rising Dragon Fist!" He shouted while slamming an uppercut straight into the jaw of Barron. From Mashyuu's fist a terrible black dragon exploded fourth and launched Barron easily one hundred meters into the sky. Mashyuu clapped his hands together and charged them with magical power as Barron started to fall down atop Mashyuu. He knew what was about to happen. Barron was going to hit Mashyuu with his best shot, well Mashyuu would do the same. "Dual Spells. Forbidden Art: Earth Gods Living Armor, and Earth Gods Barrage!" Sand exploded out of the ground around the arena and pooled at Mashyuu's feet, waiting to leap into action. Barron came down at Mashyuu's side, heat never felt before by the God Slayer washed over him but the living armor sprang up and shielded Mashyuu just enough for his spell to go off. Thousands of fists made of stone ripped out of the tile around Mashyuu and repeatedly slammed into Barron and the points his armor had been cut at, splitting it open while launching him towards Wolfe. With all of Mashyuu's mana depleted from his body the God Slayer fell to his knees and drew deep breaths of air. He had done all he could, it was up to Wolfe to finish the fight now.

A CHARITY IN A LIE † job, mashyuu - Page 2 Empty Re: A CHARITY IN A LIE † job, mashyuu

Post by Wolfe 30th June 2017, 5:45 am

Wolfe let the rest of the short day play out and then made his way back to the inn and then tavern to order his dinner. Like the nights before he was eventually joined by the young man who was very excited to talk to Wolfe as they ate and they exchanged a much as the two could about the upcoming day and the possibilities of the outcome. Wolfe was looking forward to the fight, but only because he was looking forward to a good fight and from everything he knew this man in the armor would deliver. After their meal and conversation the two parted ways and Wolfe made his way to his room to make sure he could get some rest and also make sure to get in the right mind set and his body was ok for the next day. Wolfe figured from everything he knew and the hype this guy in the armor would be every bit the fight he was told he would be. Wolfe went to sleep a little earlier that night to make sure he got as must rest as he could and was out like a light.

The next morning he repeated his routine and ate, conversed, and made his way to the arena. Today was going to be a lot different today then the day before. There was only one fight and it was a three way fight, but not in the normal way. It seemed the man in the armor was both cocky and very sure of his skills as a fighter and set the fight up to be a two vs one fight. It seemed a man by the name of Mashyuu was the winner of the other bracket and he would be teaming up with Wolfe for the fight. Wolfe didn’t have to wait long before he was standing behind the gate and it opened to let him, and then a few seconds later Mashyuu into the arena. Only moments later the man in the armor made his way into the arena and the announcer went crazy over the speaker yelling about the fight and introducing the three men. However, Wolfe paid it no attention as he was more concerned about getting into the right mindset for the fight.

The other fighter Mashyuu made his way over to Wolfe and the two exchanged short pleasantries and then played a short game of paper, rock, scissors to decide who would take the start of the round and try to take the man’s armor off of him. It seemed Wolfe won, so he would take the second half of the fight and leave the first half to Mashyuu, and with that Wolfe made his way to the side of the arena and waited to see how the first half of the battle went down. Right from the start Wolfe could feel the power of the man in the armor, but he refused to be intimidated by it, but he would get a better idea of the man’s true power as he fought, so Wolfe watched the fight started with Mashyuu starting right into the fight with his magic at the helm.

Wolfe proceeded to watch Mashyuu’s onslaught of spells and attacks as he wailed on armored fighter, with the armored fighter getting in his own licks from time to time, but Wolfe noticed that the armored fighter wasn’t put forth everything he had. From what Wolfe could tell the armor was everything it was hyped up to be and it was absorbing damn near everything Mashyuu was throwing at it and was still barely fazed. That was impressive as Mashyuu was really giving the armor and it’s wearer a good thrashing, and it was pretty impressive if Wolfe had to be honest. Wolfe watched as what would be the final few attacks were made by Mashyuu finally and with what Wolfe could feel was the very last of Mashyuu’s magical energy he was able to hit the armored fighter with enough power to finally shatter the armor and send him flying in Wolfe’s direction. Wolfe prepped himself as all the sudden it seemed he was tapped into the fight and as the former armored fighter, the Barron, flew at him, Wolfe caught him in midair by the Barron’s leg and spun to increase the momentum and flung him into the wall. Wolfe the phase shifted over to Mashyuu who had fallen to his knees with nothing left in him, and Wolfe wrapped his arm under Mashyuu’s and walked him over to the side of the arena and sat him down to rest. He had put up a good fight and Wolfe didn’t want him to get caught in the middle of the fight between himself and the Barron now. Wolfe turned to look at the wall where the Barron had slammed into but all that waa there was a huge crater in the wall but the Barron was gone and then all the sudden out of the corner of his eye he saw a fist and as he turned his head Wolfe was caught with a fist full of fire and sent flying more than a few meters away through the air and landed with a thud.

Wolfe looked up just in time to see the Barron staring down the now weakened Mashyuu with eyes that obviously had the intent on making him pay for what he had done, but Wolfe wasn’t going to let that happen and he jumped to his feet and with a low growl Wolfe pulled out his hidden card he had been holding for this very fight. The air itself started to hum as Wolfe’s eyes began to shift to a pure yellow and smoke began to emerge from the sides of his eyes and then small arcs of electricity began to erupt off Wolfe’s body. The pressure of the air began to get tense and feel heavier and heavier as the arcs began to get bigger and bigger as Wolfe’s power began to rise. The Barron then turned to look at Wolfe as he realized he couldn’t just ignore him, and he then started to walk up to Wolfe and walked right up to him till he was standing right in front of Wolfe. The two of them just smirked at each other as the Barron began to do a similar effect with fire and the air between the two men geban to crack and sizzle as the lightning and fire met.

All the suddon the fighting began as the Barron threw a right hook, but Wolfe ducked back and as the Barron’s hand passed by Wolfe’s face he straightened out and he steped back as he threw his left arm up under the hooked arm and pulled his right shoulder back as he spun and hooked his arm with the Barron’s and as he did he pulled the Barron into an over the shoulder throw and slammed him into the ground. The Barron hit the ground with a thud and as he did he kicked his right leg up to try and catch Wolfe standing just above him, but Wolfe had spent the first half of the fight watching every move the Barron made and had memorized every movement and attack and he could read through them now. So jut as the kick came up, Wolfe stepped back and caught his foot by the ankle and pulled his left foot back as he began to spin and pulled the Barron’s body off the ground into the spin and threw him into the wall like he had done the first time, but only this time with much more force causing a much bigger crater. The Barron hit the ground after he fell from the wall and stood up and dashed at Wolfe and threw a straight forward punch, which Wolfe stepped to the left of and dodged, but then all the sudden Wolfe felt heat as it hit his skin and he was sent flying to the left. As Wolfe hit the ground and looked up he saw fire swelling down from around the Barron’s fist and Wolfe instantly realized what he had done. The Barron was using his fire to expand around his limb so even if the attack itself missed the expanding fire would still hit Wolfe so he could hit a bigger area. All things considered, Wolfe was actually impressed with the Barron, he was not just a fighter with a lot of power, but he was a smart magic user s well and Wolfe had to appreciate that.

Wolfe stood up and looked the Barron up and down again and started to slowly walk towards him. The Barron decided he didn’t want to play with Wolfe anymore and began conjuring up an extremely powerful fire spell. Wolfe didn’t break stride as he just walked at the Barron and then he mouthed a word that looked like “Goodbye” at Wolfe with a smirk. Then fire erupted in a circle around the Barron and shot upwards as it began to take form of a huge tornado of flames. Then suddenly the tornado seemed to roar to life as if it had a mind of it’s own and started to move away from the Barron and descend upon the calm looking Wolfe. However, just before it was about to hit Wolfe in the blink of an eye Wolfe was gone and the next moment he was standing right in front of the Barron. For just a moment the Barron was shocked that Wolfe had phase shifted from more than half the arena away to right in front of him, and in that moment of confusion Wolfe began his onslaught. Wolfe came in with a right hook, then brought the same right hand back across with a hit with the back of his fist as he then brought in a left hook as he spun with the hook and as the spin came to it’s completion he landed another backhand with his right hand. With each hit the Barron gave some ground and Wolfe advanced some, and the sound of each hit echoed in the arena like someone hitting a bell with a hammer. Wolfe next hit was an uppercut with his left hand into the Barron’s gut and as he doubled over forwards, Wolfe lifted his right knee and caught him with a knee right to the face causing the Barron head to fly back as blood shot everywhere from his broken nose. Wolfe then side stepped as he stepped forward and he spun around the Barron’s left side and he was now right behind the Barron and in one last show of raw power and brutalness, Wolfe flung both his arms forward and wrapped them around the waist of the Barron as he lifted him up and suplexed him as Wolfe yelled ”RAGNOROK!” and just as the Barron’s body hit the ground in mid suplex a bolt of lightning came crashing down from the sky and hit the Barron at the same second.

Wolfe let go of the body as he rolled to his side and got up, the body of the Barron limp, as the crowd went wild and the entire arena went crazy. A few moments later the announcer came over the system screaming and going crazy, as it seemed Wolfe and Mashyuu had been enough to take out the Barron, and now where the champions of the arena. Wolfe’s power surge went down and he was exhausted as he made his way over to Mashyuu and offered him a hand to get up ”Good match Mashyuu, you did great, let me help you up, and later me and you need to chat this up over a good meal.” Wolfe couldn’t help but laugh a little as he spoke and helped MAshyuu to his feet to join in the winner’s circle.
