The Greatest of Heroes (Private - Jozuma|Hero Yamamoto)

Jozuma was walking across fields of the Wakusei Portals to get a better look at them. He always wondered how these portals, I mean they are portals to entirely different worlds what manner of magic even is that and how could it accomplish such a thing. Seeing that Jozuma might have to go through one of these portals one day he thought it would be a good idea to get a better look. Jozuma gets close to one of the portals. "Hm, Interesting." The portal was gigantic and had a spiral of brightly blue magic in the center where mages would jump in to use it. Jozuma spent some time examining the portal intently before something broke his concentration. The portal started shaking, the swirling magic started vibrating intensely. "That... doesn't sound good." Jozuma could tell something wasn't right and was slowly backing away from the portal. Seemingly out of nowhere, a monster flew out of the portal smashing into the ground and sliding for a good distance. "The hell?!" The monster was colossal and terrifying, it got up let out a loud roar of rage. Jozuma sparked up preparing to fight but then something else jumped out of the portal, a man with dark red hair and wearing armor. At his point Jozuma was utterly confused, he wasn't prepared for everything to hit the fan today.

Ah, damn it, he let one get away. Among a sea of corpses littered on the ground, the giant stood while scratching his head. It was not going to be good if that thing got through the portal but then again it probably got through to the other side already. Hero let out a sigh and then got into a ready stance. 'Guess I better handle it before another mage has to come in. Last thing I need is more involvement.' He thought this to himself before finally taking off; in a matter of seconds the man made it to and through the portal. Unfortunately there was someone here, though this person didn't seem like they were strong enough for this. Without missing a step Yamamoto lunged almost instantaneously at the monster and grabbed it by the throat. The contact alone caused a shock wave which reverberated quickly through the air and then he followed up by slamming it head first into the ground. Force of the impact yielded a sizable crater in its wake, the monster out cold. Titan stood back up with the beast in hand and casually threw it back through the portal while smiling widely at the cloaked being.

"Haha, seems even I can be careless at times. Sorry about that!"

Before Jozuma could say anything, the man lunged at the monster faster than Jozuma could possibly track and grabbed the monster my the throat, a shockwave surged across the field sending Jozuma back a little bit. Calcifer spoke up in Jozuma's head amidst the chaos "What is happening?" "I don't know!" When Jozuma looked up again he saw the beast dead in a crater, the strange man then tossed the creature passed him and back into the portal. The man smiled at Jozuma and apologized for the supposed trouble. Jozuma had a look of surprise and disbelief on his face, he didn't know how to process what he just witnessed. He tried to speak out the countless questions he had. "W-wha-what tha-tha-whatwasthat whoareyou what'sgoingon?!?!" "Breath Jozu." Jozuma took a second to catch his breath. "Ok... that was the coolest thing I've ever seen! Who are you?" Jozuma was amazed he had never seen such an incredible display of power before the man dealt with that monster like it was nothing and the former field that was in front of Jozuma before was piratically torn apart in a matter of seconds.

Hmm? It was strange to be honest. This was the first person in quite a while who did not already know who the giant man was. He did not show that on his face of course, but it was still an interesting thought to ponder... perhaps this person was new to the Magic world themselves. In any case, Titan was asked whom he was, so the man acquiesced the request. "My name is Hero. It is usually safe in this area, so don't be too concerned about this. I got a bit carried away." It was true that the giant had gotten a bit ahead of himself this time. Lately, Yamamoto had grown a smidgen too used to this way of life and had grown somewhat bored of these simple tasks. This incident reminded him of the fact that a wizard of his reputation could not afford to take it easy on his particular jobs. What may have seemed relatively easy to him could have proved fatally dangerous to the common people. To move himself away from that train of thought, however, he returned his attention to the concealed person in front of him and spoke once more in a confident manner. "And what might your name be?"

As the man got closer and Jozuma got a better look at him Jozuma's head moving more and more up to see he was huge, more than twice Jozuma's size in fact and Jozuma was by no means a short person. He definitely was very different from anyone Jozuma had met since becoming a guild mage, with Hydra he thought he'd seen everything as almost everyone in Hydra was weird in some shape or form with their own quirks which fit Jozuma quite well as he had his own quirks himself. The large man looked down and kindly introduced himself. "My name is Hero. It is usually safe in this area, so don't be too concerned about this. I got a bit carried away." Jozuma looked over to see the gigantic crater behind him. "A bit carried away is an understatement." Hero paused for a moment and then asked for Jozuma's name, Jozuma was a little intimidated but quickly pulled himself together to speak up. "J-Jozuma, I'm Infinity Hydra's resident Demon Slayer uh nice to meetcha. Heh, sorry that was a little more excitement than I bargained for today." Jozuma gave a smile.

Infinity Hydra... he knew that guild. His young cousin, Elyx, was good friends with their Guild Master named Ardere Kasai. The giant had not yet gotten the chance to meet him but he did want to at some point thank him for watching over the family member. "Ah, then your Guild Master must be Ardere Kasai. I've heard from my cousin that he's a good man. I've actually been wanting to meet him for quite a long time." Hero fell silent afterward for a little bit and fell deep into thought about the path he had been following up to now. Yamamoto felt as though he hit a wall in his progress toward the goal of catching up to Elyx. He knew it was not going to be easy from the beginning but this wall was difficult to overcome in all honesty. Perhaps what he needed most right now was a way of spreading his influence by teaching. Of course he had Summer and that young man Torian to raise and that was good. However, that was not enough. What the man needed more than anything was to branch out from his guild. Perhaps he could look to the other guilds and cities in general, thus expand himself. Hero spoke up after some time thinking, his voice having returned to its original state which was calm and collected. It was time to get serious again. "As a wizard, you will eventually have to deal with threats like the one I just dealt with. What do you think about that?"

Jozuma thought about what Hero said and he honestly thought the idea of fighting giant monsters sounded exciting. Jozuma always the found enjoyment in fighting even though he often took it seriously and being able to fight monsters like the one he just saw would be great but he still wasn't quite there yet, he knew that more than anyone, awakening his Demon Slayer magic was a good start but he still had a long way to go. "That sounds like a lot of fun actually, but I'm not quite there yet... one day maybe." Then Jozuma got another thought, perhaps what he needed was a mentor, someone experienced in the magic world to help him get to that point. Jozuma excitement from earlier returned as the perfect candidate seemed to standing right in front of him, it was now only a matter of asking. Jozuma looked at Hero with a determined look and asked if he would be his mentor. "Unless, you wouldn't mind showing me how to fight giant monsters, what you did back there was freakin awesome and you're really storng, please show me how to fight like that do you... do that sort of thing?" Jozuma anxiously awaited the giant's response.

It was quite comical, watching this young man stumble over his words. Hero never actually considered people would act this way toward higher-ranking mages, despite knowing his own reputation. Regardless, what struck a chord most was that they both seemed to have a similar train of thought at the moment. Yamamoto wanted to pursue another student and Jozuma stated he would want to go on difficult tasks like this one eventually, so asking that question was a dead ringer. The young man was in luck as well because the giant had the perfect request in mind to go on as a trial run. "In that case, I have a proposition for you, Jozuma. I received a request from the Magic Council just today about a matter involving a Dark Guild on Crescent Island. If you wish for me to teach you, then I must know your resolve." This was something rather important later on down the road. Things will only get more dangerous if one wanted to continue down the path of being a Mage so the resolve to put one's life on the line was a must; Hero had every intention of making sure his students had that resolve by placing them in life-or-death situations. "The decision is yours. This is the crossroad and there will be no turning back." These last words spoken carried a great weight... Titan's eyes glowed brightly, as though he was possessed by a God.

Jozuma paused for a moment to think about Hero's proposition, taking on an entire guild was clearly a difficult task but he was willing to do whatever it took to become stronger. He had an opportunity to have this man train him so he wasn't about to disappoint, he wasted no more time in answering. With a look of determination and a higher tone of confidence he answered Hero. "Well it's Infinity Hydra policy to fight dark guilds so I'll do it, let's take them down." Jozuma was could wonder where this path could lead him but the only way to find out is to go down it and he planned on giving hid all the whole way through.
