While traversing the tundra, Famine had not expected to encounter a juvenile ice snake, a species native to the Mt. Hakobe peaks. Many of which burrowed and nested beneath the snow packed ground. She’d made the mistake of laying her heel right atop it’s home which resulted in a sharp bite to her ankle. The small snake was easy enough to get rid of...But only after the guild master had downed the creature had she realized that it’s toxin dripping fangs meant trouble. She had succumbed to it’s powerful venom and was struck with paralysis as she collapsed into the pillows of snow below her….
Famine might of been fine if someone crossed her path an hour from that moment. But no one did and the snow began to fall all over again. In a day she was dusted by it, then cloaked by one thin layer, and then another and another as the week dragged on. She never recovered from her paralysis and dug out from the several feet of snow on top of her…
Famine never died in her icy tomb either, she was abnormal when it came to this cold… which had made the fortresses’ location here ideal. Famine couldn’t freeze… neither could she wither below the pounds of snow and die, but the pain of being frostbitten still remained.
-The horror of her own consciousness remained aswell. She’d had more than a million different thoughts spin through her during this time….But what troubled her was she still didn’t have any of it figured out. What was it exactly she was trying to do with this guild on this mountain? What kind of life was she trying to give her son, her guild mates, and what kind of life had she made for herself?
What a pathetic predicament she’d found herself into just because she’d let a puny and insignificant viper bite her back…
