    King of the Pirates:

James had recently accepted a Job from his guild, his first one in fact. All he needed to do was travel to the old Ace of Spades in order to check up on a cousin of some rich guy back in Hargeon. Though simple as it may appear, James was told there would be a chance of bandit activities in the sandy lands, so a C Rank mage was asked to assist him on his first Job. Her name was Kaori, and she seemed to wield some sort of nature magic. James didn't know too much about her, as he had just joined the guild, but even so he planned to complete his first job.

The two of them walked down a sandy road and were a few miles from the nearest city, where the man's cousin was said to be. Before James knew it, night had fallen and a sandstorm began to kick up. In the distance however he could see a fire, it burned brightly even as the sand chaotically flew through the air. James took off his hood to get a better look at it, but his vision was quite blurred considering he was color blind. He turned to Kaori and asked "Hey, can you see that light? What does it look like?"

Walking down the dirt path, Kaori remained mostly silent. Her mission was to accompany the new member of the magic user's clan on a mission of his own, and ensure success. The mission was simple, but Lady Ceostra had requested Kaori to do it so Kaori didn't argue. The trip was going smooth for the most part, right up till a massive sandstorm began kicking up. Kaori's target, the member of the magic user's clan, had noticed a light in the distance and asked Kaori to confirm what he saw was truly there."Looks like shelter. I advise getting to it before the storm hits." Kaori said, her voice being muffled out by the thick, cat like mask she wore. She also began speeding up her advance while also matching Jame's speed. If she wanted, Kaori could have been at the source of the light before her target could've blinked; but, since Lady Ceostra assigned her to help him, she had to make sure he was safe. The whole time, Kaori would remain at his back, right up to when they entered a large cavern.

Looking around the oddly placed area, Kaori hadn't the slightest clue where she was. with the storm looming outside the cave, and what seemed to be a fire further in, Kaori began moving deeper into the cave while staying in front James. Since the tunnel seemed to be single directional, Kaori would best be in front the man since it meant she'd face enemies first. Upon reaching the fire, Kaori noticed several things. The firs was a set of corpses that were sitting around the gentle flame. Upon inspecting them, Kaori found that they were pretty fresh; no older than a day or two. The next thing she noticed was that they had set up camp here, and not a single tent had been sacked. "Whoever came in here didn't want anything these guys had. Their clothes don't look ruffled, so the bodies weren't scavenged." Kaori said in a calm, cool, and collected tone. She moved over to one of the bodies, her common sense tingling and telling her that fire doesn't stay lit for days without a good supply of food.

Kaori's hair began to float and wave in the air as though she were submerged under water, and it took on a dark purple glow. She closed her eyes while keeping her hand held over the corpse and viewed its history, learning what happened here for certain. After a minute or two, Kaori's snowy hair fell back down, laying on the floor and straitening out when Kaori stood up. "I'm not well versed in this country's lore, but this is the tomb of some guy named 'Gold Rogers' and those people were treasure hunters. They were all ambushed and killed before anyone could react. The attackers moved deeper in, but keep the fire lit to help them remember where the exit is. It also helps keep mosquitoes out." she informed her partner, the mask still muffling her voice a bit. "Personally I'd rather go deeper in myself. It might be fun." Kaori added, her voice sounding a bit enthusiastic.

James heard Kaori mention shelter with a flame radiating from inside, at this point James would go anywhere that wasn't in this storm. He gave a simple nod, and began trudging through the sand with Kaori not far behind. He saw the way she moved, and how the storm barely effected her, usually James would be jealous of her abilities, but he was just happy to have her assistance as of now. As the two approached, two dead bodies could be seen next to the entrance of the cave, and strangely enough, there appeared to be little damage to their tent and clothing. James watched as Kaori examined them, and listened as she mentioned their time of death. James was no stranger to biology himself, "It seems that would be the case."

James looked into the cave, seeing it lead down into a larger system. That's when he heard his partner say the words Gold Rogers. James had a knack for historical and magical lore, causing him to recognize the name immediately. "Kaori, I know where we are. This is no cave, its a tomb. The Gold Rogers were once the greatest pirates in all of Fiore. That means there is possibly a fortune buried further down..." James touched the stone of the cave entrance, causing a small amount of it to glow blue and melt to the ground. The glowing blue liquid then formed into a small ball floating above James' right hand. Responding to her quiet comment, James remarked "Some bandit hunting sounds like an excellent. My eyes and powers can double as a torch, but at the same time we will most likely be seen before we see our enemy." James then signaled for Kaori to lead the way, considering her rank and enthusiasm.

Kaori wasn't much for money, she had tons of it already and even more back in Midi. However, she saw little reason not to go exploring. At the same time, if she ran into the enemy down here, Kaori saw no reason to kill them. James would quickly find that Kaori had a small quirk about her; she liked giving people new names. Kaori would say in a calm, gentle, but friendly tone "I'm assuming you wanna go get that treasure, sparkles?" This was followed by her saying "If I can get to the coffin I can learn more about Goldy, so I guess we can go." Kaori began stretching while walking towards the only exit other than into the sandstorm. James explained a bit about his magic to her, stating his eyes can double as a torch. While the glowing orb was pretty good, it wasn't so bright their enemies would get a massive drop on them. At the same time, it also made it so Kaori had a slight bit of difficulty seeing in the dark tunnels.

"Sparkles, save your magic. We'll have some fights ahead and I'll be counting on you." Kaori said while pausing in front the man in the robes. Kaori reached under her kimono and pulled out a small shuriken that began glowing bright white with holy energy. "I'll take care of keeping a light up. It'll let you keep your hands free, watch our backs please." Kaori's gentle and slightly muffled tone came out. James would see the throwing star rise in the air, floating a bit in front Kaori as she walked through the tunnels. He'd notice the light was extremely bright, and that it hurt to stare at it for too long; like staring directly into fog lights.

The two of them had gone through various different halls, highlighting how massive this place was. After a few minutes of silence, Kaori decided to spark a conversation; or at least try. "Sparkles, I was wondering. What can you tell me about Gold Rogers? Why was he so famous?" she asked, her tone implying a genuine level of curiosity.

After more time, roughly twenty minutes, Kaori stopped moving and looked around to see a rather large room. Within, a group of undead creatures had turned to face Kaori and her partner. "Well, story time's over." Kaori joked while drawing her katana. She looked at the group, determining that there were only six of them facing the two mages. "Three to one, not exactly a fair fight... They'd need way more numbers to make it fair." Kaori said arrogantly and took a fighting stance. "I'll get the three on the left." She said before vanishing, instantly reappearing behind one of the skeletons. The one she appeared behind shattered, having taken three hits in a single instance.

Two of the other skeletons had targeted Kaori, one coming from the front the other from behind. As they both slashed at her, she vanished into thin air and made it so they hit each other. Then, she reappeared running them through. Kaori pulled her blade from their bodies and in a fluent motion beheaded both at the same time. Their skeletal corpses hit the floor and Kaori looked back to see how James, aka 'Sparkles' was doing.

James raised an eyebrow at Kaori's sparkles comment, but he didn't mind it. He figured it was probably his eyes that caught her attention, leading to this nickname. She also mentioned the treasure that belonged to Gold Rogers and his crew. James wasn't in it for the money either, though he wouldn't turn it down. What he wanted was the renown of being the man who recovered Gold Roger's treasure. After James had began to use his magic as a torch, his partner informed him he should save his power. He was about to say he had everything under control, but Kaori took out some sort of floating and glowing shuriken. By his guess, it was some sort of light or holy magic. "Well, if your sure you've got the light covered..." he said. The orb of liquid metal then evaporated into thin air, leaving nothing in its place.

As they walked further down the halls of the tomb, Kaori asked James what he knew about Gold Rogers and his fame. James told a short story "Gold Rogers was a infamous pirate and wizard who stole millions of jewel. He plundered nearly every port town in Fiore, and even drew the attention of the magic council. Have you ever heard of a guild by the name of 'the freelancers'? Not many have, as they tried to stop Rogers. Rumor has it that he and his crew destroyed their entire guild and burned their guild hall to the ground. Strangely enough, no one knows how he died, most think it was disease or old age." As James told this story, the two of them had wandered into a much larger room. A skeleton crew looked directly at, Kaori and James. Before he knew it, Kaori had already entered the fray and taken out a skeleton warrior.

James decided to take the three on the right, he ran in the middle of them only to be immediately attacked. Two of the skeletons raised their blades, and simultaneously slashed at James. A grin went across his face, James brought out each of his hands to block the blades. The moment their steel made contact with his hands, the rusty blades were turned into a glowing blue liquid metal. The last armed skeleton of the three then stepped forward to attack, but James hit the floor delivering a drop kick to the creature before he could be hit. "You were right Kaori, this is going to be fun." He smirked.

Kaori had noticed he dispatched the enemy fairly quickly, making her have more confidence in him. Kaori turned to face a fork in the path, three corridors that were much too dark for her to see down. Her eyes glanced across them trying to think where to go. Kaori looked around the room for signs of someone else passing through, the violet glow in the slits of her mask showing that she was using her blood born power rather than her magic. Her eyes landed on a single stick that was broken in two places. She walked to it and kneeled down, examining the distance between the snapped portions. The stick began glowing as Kaori viewed the history of the stick and watching which way the last party decided to go.

She stood up and looked at the middle path. "They went down the middle a few days ago. Since they haven't come back, it means either their lost beyond all reason or they're on the right path... or a bit of both." Kaori said calmly before moving to the middle. Down the hall, Kaori found a camp site with a fire that was put out. Pulling a flint and partially drawing her sword, Kaori struck the flint on the blade to send sparks out towards the camp fire and brought it to life. "Using magic will put strain on our bodies. Even my 'Kieru' does it, and the spell barely uses any magic power. We should rest here a bit, I don't think Gold is going anywhere." she said while moving to one of the surrounding tents. Kaori entered the tent and emerged with several unopened bottles of water. She took her Heavenly Shuriken from the air and placed it next to the bottles, causing the element of the item to switch to ice. The air in the room became immensely cold almost instantly, and the water touching the sides of the bottles had froze. Kaori released the imbue and let her shuriken return to having no true element, and the air slowly returning to a normal temperature. She grabbed one of the bottles and tapped it against her hand, cracking the thin layer of ice inside and letting the shards float freely within. Kaori then took a seat on a log and began drinking while letting her body recover from her slight showboating. She wasn't good at using magic, so it effected her more than other mages and made her tired sooner; even using minor spells like her Imbue was a large strain for her.

James followed Kaori further down the path way until they reached the unlit fire. He then watch as she ignited in, and suggested that they conserve their magical power. "That would seem best. Though those creatures were fairly weak, there is a good chance we'll run into more, and bandits as well." James sat on the ground by the fire, it was a good temperature compared to the rest of the cave. As Kaori went into the tent and emerged with bottles of water, James heard a sound coming from deep in the tomb. It was the raspy growl of skeletons and the firing of bows. He then looked beyond the small camp site, further down the tomb. He could usually see living things pretty well with his abilities, but in this instance whatever was going on was to far away for him to view. "Kaori tell me. Why did you join Lamia Scale? You seem more like the loner type." After he asked the question, James stood up and stretched a bit. "Well, I hear sounds of battle going on further down... Guess there's more fun to be had."

James dusted off his robes which still had bone marrow on them from his last fight, and walked further down the hall until he could see the next room. It appeared to a tomb with multiple coffins, and spider webs crowding it. In the center of the room were three men with bows and daggers, fighting off a small group of three skeletons. James looked toward Kaori"How do you want to go about this, we don't know if they are friend or foe?"

James had asked a curious question that no one else had bothered to. He wanted to know why Kaori was part of Lamia Scale, though, that implied that she was actually a member of the clan. Shortly after however, before Kaori could answer him, the sound of fighting echoed through from one of the rooms up ahead and beckoned the attention of the two. "I'll tell you when it's safe." Kaori said and got up, moving to one of the nearby sacks and stuffing it with water bottles. She didn't know when they'd come across more, and she didn't want to be caught without it. She would've added some food to the sack if any were present in the camp, but such wasn't her luck.

Kaori moved ahead of James at a brisk pace towards the sound of the fighting to enter a room with a set of coffins. In the middle of the room was a group of bandits fighting for their lives, and James had asked Kaori whether they were worth saving; or at least, that's how she interpreted it. "An enemy today is an ally tomorrow." Kaori said calmly. As she said that, hands sprouted from the ground and began pushing up more corpses... People who died to build the tomb, and people who perished invading it. There were more, and the fight would last ages if the seven of them -five bandits included- tried to fight them off conventionally. "Sparkles, please excuse my stain on your pride as a man... but please, don't move. I might kill you if you do." Kaori said calmly as her heavenly shuriken dropped into her hand. She then vanished and reappeared in the middle of the bandit group and asked "If I save you all, will you turn on me?" One of the bandits smacked a knight with her bow and kicked it away. "Kill these things and I'll suck you off!" she shouted crudely, implying that she'd show Kaori some of that 'bandit's pride' she heard of. "Very well then." Kaori said calmly, her pig tails beginning to flicker as a wind started kicking up.

Kaori slid the shuriken to her finger and it began spinning, gathering energy and getting larger to create a shuriken 5 feet wide. It shone brilliantly as the energy pulled into it, radiating holy energy that caused the undead to all shield their eyes while backing away slightly. "Tengoku no sutā..." she said in a calm voice; reeling back and getting ready to throw it, and as the star had finished taking form, white flames took over the object and Kaori threw it while shouting "...sekai o moyasu!"

The star shot out, flying in a circle around them and cutting through nearly every last one of the undead aggressors. Those that weren't cut clean through were engulfed by the holy flames of the attack, and consumed by it. Those that weren't consumed by the flames, were torn apart by the wind around the attack and hand their limbs strewn about. The shuriken had covered the area in holy energy, making the walls, coffins, and floors sparkle brilliantly and illuminating the area. The star returned to Kaori's side, stopping next to her and shrinking back down while staying in the air. Kaori was breathing heavily, as though she'd just ran a marathon.

The bandits looked at her in shock. They'd seen wizards before, but they'd never seen one who was able to wield magic like hers. It was magic so pure, so powerful that it drained her of energy; but had devastating effect. "Thanks." one of the bandits said calmly, that word being all they could think of. A man stepped forward, putting his arrow back in its quiver. "We'd be toast if not for you... How's about we stick together? It'd be easier to get to the treasure, and we can split it when we find it." he said, the others all nodding in agreement. "I've..." Kaori paused to breathe some more. "I've got no problems... with that." she said and turned to James. "Sparkles?" she asked, implying she wanted his opinion on letting the bandits come along. It'd be beneficial, and if the bandits betrayed them; Kaori would kill them all.

James was about to engage the massive group of undead and assist his comrade, but it seemed she had it all under control. He watched in awe as she and her holy magic incinerated the aggressing skeletons. In the process however ; she also managed to make a deal with the bandit party, they agreed to help us an split the treasure. James figured, why not? the man whos treasure they sought had millions of jewel. He responded to her inquiry "We can afford a few extra hands on our mission. They are welcome to come with us, as long as they fight with us." James looked past the room to the large stone doors which lead to another. His eyes flashed with blue energy, trying to spot any living thing behind the door, but he could see nothing. There must have been an enchantment on it. "All right boys and girls, get your weapons out, because I have no clue as to what is behind those doors!"

James stepped forth and kicked open the door with his right leg. It appeared to be a dark and musty room containing a golden coffin. Standing in front of this golden coffin was the bandit leader, trying to crack open the coffin. On the floor next to the bandit was a dead body with a severed head. James unfortunately recognized the dead man's face, it was none other than the man James and Kaori was asked to check up on. The bandit leader turned to see his crew "Ah, there ye are! Unfortunately our tour guide outlived his usefulness!" The other bandits chuckled a bit. "Alright lads get over here and help me crack open this case." The crew of bandits walked over surrounding the coffin, and trying to open it. They can't seem to get it to budge though.

James whispered to Kaori "That guy on the ground... He was the man we were suppose to meet. Guess we know why we needed the protection, bandit scum."

Kaori let James open the door, and on the other side they found a man on the floor, and one man at the coffin. The bandits went to help their leader with the lid on the coffin, and James told Kaori something that he should have saved for later. As the lid of the coffin hit the floor with a thud that resonated through the entire room, the bandit leader ordered his crew to kill Kaori and James. Kaori slowly began drawing her katana and spoke directly in the minds of the bandits, causing them to stop moving. 'You saw what I did before... Do you really want to break a deal with me?' she said to them, her minds tone was threatening, dark, grim, and very serious. The bandits all took a step back, thinking of how they were limited to bows, arrows, and daggers; and Kaori could take out an army in one hit. At the same time, they looked at James who they were yet to see fighting. "S-Sorry boss, but we kind of owe her one..." the woman said nervously. Kaori's mask turned, looking at one of the other bandit lackeys. "I'd rather not die." the other said and backed away. "You all feel the same?" the leader asked. After hearing silence, he pulled out a pole and turned to attack one of them having decided if they don't wanna follow his orders, he'd kill them.

Kaori had vanished and then appeared with her katana blocking the staff. She didn't bother speaking since she didn't need to. The other bandits had all left the room and decided to wait outside. None of them had magic, and seeing their leader turn on them; none of them felt like helping out. The leader had pulled his staff back and begun to bring it down on Kaori, but she quickly disappeared and reappeared behind him while performing a mid-air kick that hit him on the side of the head so hard the leader flew and was knocked against the wall. She vanished and reappeared next to James. The man on the ground was his friend, so the fight rightfully belonged to him. He would hear kaori's voice in his head as she said 'I'll protect our allies. You should avenge your comrade...' The leader began to get up, and Kaori held her katana out to James to provide him with a weapon option. One of the other bandits pulled out a dagger and offered James the grip, providing him with a second. "We're not really attached to him... he just hired us as backup." the man said.

James felt pressure around him, and in the room. Kaori's presence seemed to be every where as she spoke her warning to the bandits. He watched them cower before her, and mention their past deal. One deal which their boss would regret. Though they seemed to be in fear from his ninja bodyguard, James felt his magic blood boiling inside of him. This was not what he was use to, it was no feeling of challenge or of excitement. This was rage, a feeling of necessary vengeance for an innocent man and previous counterpart of James. James wondered how the poor guy got caught up in all of this. What use was this man to the leader of a bandit crew?

James couldn't hear the chatter of the bandit crew, only the feeling of failure and anger in his mind. By the time he looked up Kaori had used her magic to knock the bandit leader to the floor. As this display happened, the other bandits left the room to fearful of what the two wizards might do to the man they once worked for. Before he knew it, there was Kaori offering him justice and a blade to do it. One of the bandits had also kindly offered his blade to James. "I thank you both for your blades, but I'll need neither. I may not be the strongest wizard as of now, but he should die by my own power. Consider this one for the guild..." James adamantly spoke.

James silently walked to the fallen bandit leader, and picked him up from the ground with two hands. "Before you say goodnight, tell me why you needed that man for this mission of yours." The leader began to panic "I-I- well, he's an archeologist. He navigated this tomb for us!" James looked down and knew what the leader said was true. Once he had heard what he wanted to hear, he used his abilities on the man. The bandit's armor melted off into a puddle blue glowing mercury on the ground, leaving him with only a bit of clothing. Following this the puddle transformed into a cloud of mercury. To someone viewing this, all they would hear is the man's muffled gasps for help, but on the inside the man was breathing in James' liquid metal slowly killing him. Once the deed was done the cloud evaporated, and James turned his head toward Kaori "Now that that's been taken care of, lets try to open this golden coffin. Hopefully his sacrifice will have brought us something at least..." James sighed.

Kaori had watched James execute the man with his own power as he so adamantly wanted. It was a slow death compared to the one he would've had if he used a blade; one that Kaori personally found barbaric. For Kaori, when she killed her opponents, she did it as quickly as possible. Doing it like this reduced the amount of pain they felt, and delivered her punishment swiftly. It was a win-win situation, she got justice, and they didn't feel agony before dying. Regardless, Kaori didn't speak of her opinion; only stood and watched. Once the task was done, the five bandits tried lifting the coffin lid again but could only move it an inch before dropping it from exhaustion. "Damn this thing's heavy!" one of them shouted in frustration. Kaori could've tried moving it with her telekinesis, but she knew that it wouldn't work due to the immense weight of the object.

Kaori thought about her friend, a man so large and strong he could move it on his own; but she wasn't nearly strong enough to summon him. Suddenly however, an extremely powerful presence was felt in the room. Kaori looked back and saw the source... He was on one knee, but still had to bend over to fit in the room. His shoulders were wider than Kaori and James put together, and he had horns growing from his back. "Mammoth, what're you doing here?" Kaori asked with a surprised voice. "I was cooking breakfast when Charlotte told me you needed help. What can I do for you, Captain?" he replied. Mammoth's voice was so strong, and so deep that it was utterly terrifying. At the same time, he sounded extremely intelligent; as though his muscles weren't the only strong thing, but rather, he had a good mind too. His voice didn't have the usual sailor's rasp; it was clean, smooth, and easy to understand with not a single accent in it. Kaori pointed to the coffin and asked "The lid's a bit heavy, would you mind moving it for us?" To which Mammoth replied "Aye." and lifted his hand, pressing his index finger to the object and using only that to push it. The lid slid off and slammed on the ground, cracking the stone floor and revealing the corpse inside. "Anything else Captain?" he asked, and Kaori shook her head. "I'll be off then." He said before turning to dust. Kaori gestured to the now open coffin and said "You've got the first peek. I'm only here to learn about a dead guy's past."

James watched as the men and women tried to lift the coffin, and was about to walkover and melt it with his magic. Just then, He was interrupted by massive vibrations in the ground. Was it another monster guarding the tomb? A Trap set by old Gold Rogers? It turned out to be a giant hulking man with horns growing from his back! James took as step back, and was about to ready himself for battle until he noticed glowing sweat drip from his brow. He realized he was exhausted from taking down those skeletons and the bandit leader. Kaori then questioned him, as to what he was doing here. It appeared this man was a friend of hers, allowing James to drop his guard. From the way he responded he was in fact a soldier of Kaori's. James was about to introduce himself, but the second he tried, Kaori had instructed him to move the lid of the coffin. James had never seen such strength from a regular man, but he was glad this man was on his side. As the large man removed the seal, the skeleton of Gold Rogers could be seen.

James noticed Kaori ask for more information regarding the pirate's past and began "This dead man is the real deal, he's wearing the same clothing he wore the day the magic council supposedly killed him." Next on the skeleton's hand James noticed a small Rock of sorts, he picked it up and placed it in the light. "This orb, it feels powerful... I wonder if he used this thing to fight off the magic council. Looks like it didn't work, whatever he did." James was excited to have uncovered the man's grave, but something was missing "That's odd, an orb of power, the clothing of the captian, but no money whatsoever. Where is all the gold and jewel?" One could tell this truly puzzled James. He looked behind himself and Kaori to see the group of bandits were quite disappointed. James didn't want to be the one to break it to them, but what else could he have said? James turned to Kaori and the bandits and began to speak "I know me and my partner promised you your cut, and you all can still make a profit if you sell this golden coffin in town. As for the two of us Kaori, would you like this orb or the captain's uniform?"

Kaori listened as James gave more details of the man, and the bandits waited in anticipation for their loot. Kaori then walked to the coffin after James and saw the objects. She could feel power coming from the orb, and saw a set of clothes folded up. James asked which one she'd rather have, and Kaori looked at them again. "I have no need for the orb. I'm no mage, or at least, I'm a lousy one. The clothes might look cute on one of my friends, so I'll take that." she said in a calm voice. Kaori then took the robes and slung them over her shoulder, and turned to the bandits.

James had addressed them, mentioning that nothing of value was in the chest. The bandits had all looked at each other at a loss, and questioned what to do. Kaori broke their mini discussion by saying "If you need a home and a job, I could use your help." Her tone was fairly generous, and inviting. The bandits looked at Kaori with a curious expression, the prospect of a place to sleep being more enticing than the job that may or may not pay much. "I have a ship being built that I'll need a crew for. The man who was just here was one of my crew members, hence the reason he addressed me as Captain. Though... in all honesty I'm just the money, a co-captain at best." The group looked at her puzzled still. "How do we know you're credible?" the girl of the group asked intelligently. "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself." Kaori said and set the clothes down on the coffin. "My name's Kaori Lareci. I'm the head of the Lareci clan-" "From Midi..." one of the bandits said and became stiff. Kaori cocked her head to the side and blinked a couple times. "You've heard of us?" she asked curiously, not knowing the people in this land to know of her clan. The man fell to a knee and placed a fist on the ground. "I- I'm terribly sorry Lady Lareci." he said with a humbled tone, increasing Kaori's curiosity. "I'm Sado Bushiin, a member of one of your servant clans." The man bowed his head, looking at the ground. "Had I known one of you had survived, I would have served you till the end. I heard from one of the other clans that you were all wiped out... I- I'm so sorry. Feel free to kill me as punishment."

Kaori let out a sigh, having already regretted anouncing her nobility. "Get off the ground Sado." she said calmly. "I won't kill you, that's be unnecessary on multiple levels." The man looked at Kaori, his eyes filled with joy. "You left your clan, why?" Kaori asked, her tone turning serious. Sado's eyes became sad "The Bushiin clan was taken over... our members converted to slaves. I... I ran. I ran and never looked back. I abandoned them, and joined these four." he admitted, Kaori sensing regret in his voice. "I'll serve you Lady Lareci, no cost." he said passionately. "Well shit, if Sado's going I'm in too... but can I get paid?" the woman said. "Meet me at the docks in Hargeon. Let the shipmaster know that 'The sun falls on still waters' and he'll take you where you need to go." Kaori said calmly. She then turned to the corpse and placed her hand over it, looking at the history of it and saying "I see..." when she was done. Sado got up and the bandits made their leave, letting Kaori and James be alone.

"You asked me a question earlier Sparkles." Kaori would mention calmly. "I'm not a member of your clan. I have no place in it... My magic is weak, and my ways differ from yours. I am unworthy to join... However, I owe Lady Ceostra my life. So I work to aid your clan, to strengthen it, to protect it. That is why I'm part of the castle, but understand I am not one of you- I'm an assassin, a murderer, and monster; I'm a Lareci warrior." she would say in a soft tone while walking out of the room with her loot in hand.

James nodded at Kaori's decision to take the set of clothing. That sure would be a lot more simple then figuring out the purpose of the orb. The bandits on the other hand didn't look to happy that they would be receiving nothing, until Kaori offered them a job that is. It wasn't any ordinary job either, they would be crew mates on a ship for Kaori's clan. James had no idea she was part of a magic using clan, but he did think something was a little off about her. He immediately began wondering, what's a clan master doing in a magical guild? Before he could say anything however, it turned out one of the looters was a previous member of Kaori's clan. He practically fell to the floor, "who is she" James wondered.

By the end of Kaori's speech all the bandits were persuaded to her cause, and left the tomb. That was when Kaori answered his question, she owed some sort of debt to the guildmaster. James walked out of the tomb with her and along the way said "You mentioned you were building a ship, and needed a crew. I don't know why your doing this, perhaps to restore your clan's fleet or to sail home, I just want you to know if you need any help doing it I am willing." Though James didn't know Kaori very well, the guildmaster obviously trusted her, and that was good enough for him. That's when James began to think, he couldn't recollect a Lareci clan, and he had done plenty of traveling. Was the clan truly that small or were they just that secretive. James had many questions, but didn't want to bore Kaori with them. "And one other thing, if you are setting sail anytime soon, be prepared to meet Black Sails. They are a pirate guild, no one knows if they are good guys or bad, so watch out." With that James and Kaori had reached the exit of the tomb, but failed the job of protecting the archeologist.
