Re: A wizard's career starts
Today had been a moderately acceptable day so far, but her job had been disgustingly simple: go retrieve a lost pair of shoes that the owner had left at a foreign-style restaurant the night before. Because the establishment had belonged to a mage (regardless of the fact that said mage barely knew more than a shortcut for making dumplings) the owner had insisted that another wielder of magic was required to fetch the lost boots. Left to Leah on account of her being barely a C Rank mage, the mission was complete in less than thirty-five minutes. This time was comprised of walking nearly all the way across the island, much to her dismay.
Anyways, the uninteresting job was over by now, and she had begun to walk home. Since barely an hour had gone by since she first set out to meet with the client, it was still rather early in the morning. As she debated to herself whether it would be shamefully indolent to go straight back to the guild hall and doze for the rest of the day, Leah's eyebrow twitched as a few words floated through the air to reach her ears. ...ocean's grey waves...shore...waters... Her mind zeroed in on the voice in an attempt to completely block out any mention of the sea; this was an unsuccessful try although it did end up allowing her to discern that the voice was male and comparatively young. Probably still older than her by a decent bit, though.
Fighting a yawn, the redhead made a split second decision and turned to face the direction of the sound. Surprisingly, or maybe not considering that it was indeed a rather dreamy and angelic voice, a soft color similar to that of flax filled the area as a glow. Even from a distance away as she was, it seemed as though either puffs of snow, cotton, or pillow down were materializing and drifting to the ground as the voice went on. Her curiosity piqued, Leah continued towards the sound. Unsurprisingly, upon reaching the small section of the street she witnessed a young man standing on a bench and singing. His precarious position and striking ivy colored eyes somehow touched a chord within her (no pun intended) so the redhead stepped up more into the vicinity.
"Hey stranger," she greeted with a wry smile and applause after he had ended the song, "What brings you to the Phoenix Isles?"

Re: A wizard's career starts
Just who was it that was singing that voice?? It sounded beautiful, angelic and just plain wonderful. Summer has never heard such a singing voice before and it made the fireworks expert rather curious indeed… probably because curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back. Strolling in the area, she wanted to find the perilous singer… finally… the heavenly voice was getting closer and closer to the ears of the zodiac child, the presences are pretty messy however, so she cannot seem to rely on that at all. Not that she minded, she was just happy that the voices are seemingly guiding her to their very location…
”Summer! How awkward it must be that you are looking for someone who's just a pretty singer?? Huh? Huh?!”
“Yes… They sound so heavenly…” Summer smiled softly as she spoke them words, it was going to be hard… getting used to having 12 of the chinese zodiac at her disposal was a toughie, but she was sure that she will be able to cope with it. It just kind of sucks that they decided to make her a queen… she was not ready to be a queen, nor will she ever want to be one in the first place. Summerrrr!!!!
”And which one are yo- Never mind. I found him…”
Summer walked forward towards the singing male, allowing her calming presence to have it’s daily splurge, she looked to the angelic singer as he gave off this golden glow, it seemed pretty cool. All she had to do was wait for him to stop singing so she can introduce herself.
”Summer! He’s calling for you!”
”shut up and let me listen…”

Re: A wizard's career starts
Admittedly, music was not Leah's thing. The girl had written many a love poem which was then thrown out week-old trash, but man seemed to make singing alright. With a slight smile, she nodded as the man introduced himself and likewise was reaching out her hand for a polite shake when the name Golden Phoenix was mentioned. She started and took a double look at the man.
"Why er- ye, I mean, I do know whereabouts the guild hall is... but I jus' don't know if I would be able t' take y- oh, well, that would be nice," she said as the young man questioned Leah as to whether or not she wanted another song. But he then began to greet another young woman who had entered the scene, and the redhead was quite sure the dark haired mage would be the perfect person to assist anyone wanting anything to do with the guild. She was one of the guild masters, after all... "On second thought, I'd better be goin' now, but as like, it was nice to meet ye, Akira. Maybe I'll see ye around." It wasn't really as though she had enough confidence to lead people around the island anyways. After all, the phoenix was quite nice to anyone with the stamp and that extended to those travelling with her, but it was better to be safe than sorry. Summer would take care of him, especially with the--
"Right, so welcome to the Phoenix Isles, Akira. Good luck to ye," she said, smiling faintly before backing away and surreptitiously running off. Whatever had just happened, the crazy stunt with his eyes and all that shaking made Leah nervous. If it ended up being that she was needed, well, it wasn't as though the redhead was particularly hard to find. Yet the girl trusted her GM and any other members to guide him along the way, because right now she was so perturbed that she probably would have led both of them into a wyvern nest or something. Not that there were wyverns on Phoenix Island...
Leah's out, but welcome, Akira/Julius!

Re: A wizard's career starts
Seeing one of her newest members known as Leah, kind of comforted the new guild master somewhat, she was still trying to get used to the fact that she was a guild master in the first place, although there was no helping it right now, she had a job and she was sure that she was going to be able to fill it in Elyx’s stride quite well. Summer was also sure that Astrid will do as fantastic as she always would. There was just no telling what was going to happen to the both of them in the near future, not that it mattered right now. What mattered right now was this young man that stood in front of her and the crowd. It seemed that he was trying to ask her something after he asked Leah some questions before something strange happened to him…
”Summer?! Just what is going on with him?! Is he loony?! Lmao, I can’t believe what I am seeing!... gdi.”
”What bloody kind of language is that?! You haven’t even told me which Zodiac you are yet, I sigh dissapointment at you.”
”S-sorry! I might speak weirdly, but I do have good intentions!”
”It’s over, and… Leah has ran away, I will speak to you later. For now, leave me be...”
”Gdi… fineeee!” The weird voice clucked as he spoke ”But have fun! You will be having more fun with me in the future! ttyl!”
Lovely, now she knew she was speaking to the rooster right there and then.
Walking forward to Akira regardless, she held out her hand and hoped that the man accepted it. This was the only thing that the female could really do. “Calm down.” She said… “If you fight what you are seeing or hearing then nothing will help, to be honest.” She was sure that she was just assuming that there was something going on in her head, and so she was simply giving the best advice she could… considering she was also trying to fight something off that was in her head herself. “After that, I can help you, you want to be in Golden Phoenix, right??”
