After such a long time among trees, the bustle of a town clattered on Neru's ears like bad music. It made her miss the soft rustle of leaves, the far-off calls of different creatures, and the occasional burbling of a stream with a surprising intensity that, had she been less sure of her cause, would have sent her right back from whence she came. However, Neru had made this her destination long ago, and she wasn't one to back out of something simply because of a little loud noise, no matter how much she disliked it. She was only thankful for the headphones that covered her ears, dulling the sound to a point that Neru was able to willingly ignore it.
It wasn't long before the guild hall was in front of her, rising high above her almost as if it were accentuating its own power. She could see why Kaian had held such faith in it, just at a glance. The fact that the guild shared her own goals made it all the more appealing. Turning her focus to the double doors hiding the inside of the building from her sight, Neru stepped forward. The only betrayal of her nerves came in the form of her fingers picking at the sleeve that covered her right arm, and the slight brown cast to more than one of the spheres of light floating gently around her body. Taking in a deep breath and holding it for a moment, Neru heaved open the doors with a heavy exhale, glancing around the hall in curiosity. She'd gotten this far, that was a good thing. Her only problem was that she had little idea of how to join a guild, let alone what to say once you found yourself in the guild's common area.
