Job Description: The resident's of Haunted Village have always believed the place is haunted and refuse to leave in fear of ghost retaliation for doing so. It's been like this basically forever, sponsoring a decent rumor mill about the spooky village. However recently the grapevine regarding the village has become significantly noisier. Story's of the village being attacked by the spirits residing around it when night falls are becoming frequent chatter in bars, taverns, nail salons and anywhere else people gossip. Clearly, the situation calls for some mage brave enough to check out the settlement to see if the rumors are true and defeat the specters to protect the village if it turns out to truly be in danger.
Enemies:
Weak: Ghost
A completely regular ghost, though this one has malicious intentions and is driven by some powerful force. They appear as regular humans with different outfits and weapons at their disposal. And their fighting style reflects this as well, as they once were mere peasants and no warriors. This makes them fairly easy to defeat by mages with at least decent combat experience.
Normal: Banshee
A female spirit that appears in front of others and heralds the death of a family member, usually by shrieking or keening. However, these ones are much more dangerous that some mere omen of possible future. They are driven by destructive desire and aggression. And while they are very similar to regular ghosts in their regular combat prowess, their voices can shatter glass miles away if they put their whole soul into it. Not many heard it and lived to tell the day, and many of those who did were no longer capable of hearing themselves telling it.
Strong: Wraith
The state of one's soul often determines their life as an ethereal being. Wraiths are malicious spirits that were dead for quite some time, but never found peace. Their bodies are horrid to look at, decayed and rotten. They often appear as a floating upper half of a body while their lower half more often than not is nothing more than hanging intestines. They are swift, resilient and dangerous, as their fingers grew into razor sharp claws that can easily cut even through a knight's shield. Without a doubt, they are the more dangerous spirits out there.
Boss: Night Wraith
The spirit of a young maiden who never got to her wedding day due to unforeseen circumstances. She is the one who has been calling the shots behind all of the other ghosts and ghouls faced up till now. Bound by her swear to promise forever to her beloved, she believes she must be able to fulfill her word to make this promise, but the only way this can happen is if her fiance and their entire wedding party were to die thus permitting the wedding to be held in the afterlife, entwining them for eternity.
