Job Requirements: Must roll the Boss. Once you roll the boss, you must defeat the boss. If the Kraken destroys your boat, the job is a failure. 15000 words minimum, +1000 words per person beyond the second.
Job Location: Fishy Fish Sea
Job Description:
If you don't have a boat, one will be provided to you for charge. You have been entered into a contest to get the biggest catch in the Fishy Fish Sea Fishing Challenge! While this may sound boring, at first, if you are in the age of majority you will be given free booze! Once you are ready to catch a fish, everyone is capable of rolling once per post to see what fish they can find. Depending on the strength of the fish will depend on how difficult it is to pull up (So RP fighting to get the fish!). For every fish you get (except the weak) you will be given jewels for it!
Once you roll a boss, you will encounter the Kraken! This will cause all of your competitors to boat away while you fight the infamous Kraken. Defeat the Kraken and turn it in as your grand prize for the Fishy Fish Sea Fishing Challenge.
However, keep an eye on your boat's health. The Kraken is known for destroying boats. Once your boat reaches 0% HP, your boat will be destroyed and it will be game over!
Enemies:
Weak - Bony Carp -- This isn't worth a whole lot, better off just pushing this back out into the sea. These fish do not give you any bonus jewels.
Normal - Large Mouth Bass -- Now this is worth something! These are large bass big enough to feed an entire family for a day or two. This one is a keeper! These fish give you +500 Jewels for catching.
Strong - Saw-toothed Marlin -- These are some DIFFICULT buggers to catch! You will find yourself having difficulty reeling this one in but with enough perseverance, you will be able to catch one of these monstrosities. These fish give you +1500 Jewels for catching.
Boss - The Kraken- Spoiler:
- The Kraken
This thing is a monstrosity that is large enough to envelope your entire boat with one of it's tentacles. A loud roar could be heard when it surfaces it's head out of the water. While it appears to be a giant squid, this Kraken is something different altogether.
Abilities:
- Boat Smash: Passive -- Every post, the Kraken will start attacking your boat, dealing 5% damage to the boat. This means you have 20 posts to defeat the Kraken or it's game over.
- Tentacle Wrap: Grabs a hold of one target, dealing A Rank DoT damage (50% for initial damage, 25% for each subsequent post afterward) for 7 posts. Dealing 2 A Rank damage to the tentacle will cause this ability to stop. Cooldown is number of posts used +1.
- Tentacle Smash: While grabbing a target, the grabbed target is given A Rank damage. This can be done once per post.
- Water Spout: The Kraken absorbs water before spitting out out, hitting everyone on the boat for A Rank damage.
Kraken HP: 15 A Rank damage will down the Kraken.
Reward: 50,000 Jewels Prize Money for the Kraken. Can turn in Normal and Strong Fish for rewards up to 75,000 Jewels each. All of the fish, combined between you and your friends, will go towards the total for all of you.
A fuckin' Kraken. This time the crazy pirates he lived with had him to hunt down a fuckin' Kraken. 'It's worth a lot of money' they said, but valuable or not, a Kraken is a Kraken. Mark let out an annoyed sigh and looked around the dock, there were banners plastered all over the place, mentioning some sort of 'Catch the Biggest Fish!' contest. That sounded ridiculous. Why would anyone waste their time trying to catch a large fish? It was then that Mark remembered that he didn't have a boat. How does one catch a Kraken without a boat? The answer was simple. "You don't..." Mark muttered to himself, immensely irritated. An orb constructed of bills of money floated by Mark's side, his very own sentient blob of money.
"You seem irritated, Mark." The blob of money noted, its shape quickly shifting into that of a frowning Venetian mask.
"Well, I've been ordered to catch a Kraken, and I haven't been given a boat. It's quite impossible. I suppose I must acquire a boat in some way." He noted, looking around for some sort of boat rental place.
The mask sort of bobbed in midair, as though it was nodding. "Yes. You'll have to rent a boat, Mark. From what I understand, boats are rather expensive." The mask squirmed, as though it had come to a realization, "Please don't sell me, Mark!"
Mark just rolled his eyes in response, the stupid blob of money could be so annoying sometimes. Finally spotting a boat rental place, Mark began to stroll towards it leisurely, if he was going to catch a Kraken, he'd do it on his own time. All over people were prepping their boats for the fish catching competition, apparently, it was some sort of really big thing around here. It took a couple of minutes, but Mark arrived at the boat rental place, and he walked inside, the Venetian mask made of money trailing behind him. "Hey. I need to rent a boat." Mark said simply, "How much will it cost me?"
"We only have two models available." The saleswoman (rentalswoman?) told him, "The budget, and the ultra deluxe." Mark nodded.
"How much for the ultra deluxe version?" He asked, thinking it couldn't be that expensive, it was just a boat after all.
"The ultra deluxe edition will cost you 300,000 Jewels per hour." The woman stated cooly.
"Burn in hell." Mark said nonchalantly, practically walking out of the store then and there, before remembering that there was a budget model. "And how much for the budget model?" He asked, imagining a small but functional little boat.
"That'll be 10,000 Jewels per hour." The woman said, and though Mark was still appalled by the price, it was better than 30x that much, so he nodded.
"Mind showing it to me before I rent it?" He asked, and the woman nodded, exitting the store out back and heading towards the docks. Mark exited the opposite way and followed her.
The woman stopped in front of a bright orange lifeboat and said, "Here it is, the budget model that we have available for rent."
Mark twitched visibly, "You have got to be kidding me right? 10,000 Jewels an hour for this piece of crap?!" He was bewildered, and screaming rather loudly, but this was his only option...
