A chill danced down the length of Rowan’s back as he took his first look within the first room of Oak Inn’s basement complex. Calling it a basement was highly misleading, just one look around the first room proved it so. Already the group was faced with 2 doors, each on opposite sides of the room, and a darkened corridor straight ahead. Rowan looked to his 2 guild mates, Copy and Chris, stoically before looking at their options. “Welp, there it is… 2 creepy doors and a dark hallway…” After a slight pause he turned around and looked to the stairs that led back up to the Inn’s lobby. “Welp… there it is… the way out…” As Rowan spoke those words, the inn worker that had guided them down to the basement quickly scurried back up the steps, clearly not too eager to stay any longer than needed. The plasma mage wasn’t too sure how Copy had convinced him to go on this ‘killer doppelgängers’ hunt, but it sure wasn’t too late to back out now. Or was it?

- Job Title: Monster Hunt: Doppelganger Cult (One Time Only.)
Rank: B-Rank
Player Requirements: 2 C-Rank Mage(s) / 1 B-Rank Mage
Job Requirements: 5000 Word Count minimum, 12 Rolls Minimum, Must beat all 3 Bosses.
Job Location: Oak Inn
Job Description:
On the *Insert Guild here * board, you find a quest detailing a cult of many doppelgangers, wanted for the murders of dozens of people. They list that you must clear out the entire building where they are located, the Oak Inn, or rather, the basement complex. Their leaders are unnamed, and unable to be drawn with clarity, but they are believed to take the form of a couple lordlings in the area. The lordlings are named Isabella Umbre, Franklin, son of Thrais, and a pre-teen girl by the name of Deseray, who had the power of Foresight.
Inside the complex is a vast array of corridors, and doors, meant to lead those who enter astray, except those who know which way to go...- Enemies:
- ENEMIES:
-Weak: Doppelganger Underlings (x8): These doppelgangers, though they do look frail, are not to be trifled with. Each underling has a poisoned Dagger, capable of dealing 3 C-Rank Damage, and dealing 1 C-Rank Damage over 3 posts. They also can take the shape of you (and your party), disorienting you as to who and what you are fighting. They take 1 B-Rank Damage to kill each.
-Normal: Doppelganger Followers(x10): Human followers who worship these Doppelgangers like gods, they are fully plate armored, sword and shield wielding knights. They deal 1.5 B-Rank Damage, and they take 10 C-rank damage to their shields, and 3 C-Rank damage to their plate armor. Other then that, they aren't special.
-Strong: Cult Priests/ Practioners (x12): These zealots are the leaders before the actual leaders, the Doppelganger leaders, and follow the words of their “gods” like Holy Writ. They wield a plethora of weapons, from sais, to axes, even to spears. Each priest only takes 5 C-Rank Damage, but will Will themselves back to life, taking another 5 C-Rank damage.
-Boss 1: “Isabella Umbre”- This face of a Doppelganger, (You know this because you can see the body in a corner of the room.) “She” wears a set of chainmail underneath a set of Valkyrian plate armor. She wields a sword of light, a hilt of a sword without a crossguard, and a small switch on the side. “Isabella” deals 1 B-Rank Damage in Light damage, and .25 B-Rank. She takes 4 B-Rank damage to her plate armor, and her “sword” can deflect up to 5 C-Rank damage. She herself only takes 1 C-Rank damage to kill. “Isabella” also can move objects through telekinetic motions, and if hit by this, you will take 3 C-Rank Damage per hit.
-Boss 2: “Franklin, Son of Thrais” You'd think with a name like that, he'd be some sort of Dwarf, straight out of Tolkien. Guess what? You'd be right. He is around 4' 7'', and looks like he could bull through a building with him and his HUGE hammer. (Its name is being Fausstheus, or quite literally, Fist-Hammer.) He has a long beard, stretching down to his lower belly, tied in knots. He's mantled in stone armor, unable to be rent from common blades. The only way to harm this man is through several spots on his armor, or through magic that can move through or around the stone he wears. The real Franklin, is bound, tied to a pillar in the middle of the room, lashed, as though whipped. The doppelganger takes 5 B-Rank damage to kill, and his armor takes thrice that. (3x that) His hammer will deal 6 B-Rank Damage to anyone hit by it, and will deal 3 B-Rank damage to those within 15 ft. he also has an axe, unnamed here, that'll deal the same amount of damage to those hit by it.
-Boss 3: Deseray, Mistress of the Past, Present, and Future: This pre-teen looking girl, is fighting a mirror image of herself, when you walk into the room, dancing as though possessed by a demon. Each image will throw balls of mystical fire, one will swerve to hit you, the other will swerve to avoid you. Each of these mystical fires will deal 7 B-Rank damage to you on hit, and will hit you for 3 B-Rank Damage of Light damage over 2 posts. Finding the real one, however, will be difficult, since you must not kill the real one. Both the real one and the doppelganger take 3 B-Rank Damage to kill, and also have a 25% chance to dogde every attack you make. When killing one of them, either A.) If you kill the real one, you hurry and untie Franklin, and grab Isabella's body, and leave. Or B.) You'd have to kill the real one, and you wouldn't receive the armor.*
Reward: 5K jewel, Legendary Armor.*
The Armor goes to both parties.

Copy and Excalibur had plenty of time to ponder of the means of the job they took, it was ambitious for them- All of them, a B-Rank was always explained to him as the beginning of a mages true trials, what separates them from the rest of the 'fodder'. So he was as eager as he was nervous. Fast-forward to the inn, and the four had been wandering down the stairs with each heart-beat pumping loudly in their chest that thrummed in sync with their foot-falls to the old wood-steps that lead below. The cellar was eerie to put it lightly, everything had a sort of filthy grime layer too it, the walls were watered down from prolonged existence and the entire area seemed as if it was cast off without care or cause. Such was not the case, but perhaps to alleviate some tensions (or increase them). The sconces that periodically spanned on the walls had torched pre-lit, if anyone were familiar with the visual of them it was easy enough to identify its been well over an hour or two since it was done. However, despite the lighting- The distance of the dark hallway seemed to span far enough to eventually blotch out any sort of visual grasp. As if darkness took hold of it. When their feet hit the stonework below with an audible 'clack' from his dress-shoes. Rowan had begun to talk without much hesitation, it drew Copy's attention. Excalibur was already exploring, but not going terribly far. The simple observation, Copy deducted was more of a means for Rowan to place reality into the grasp of his understanding and scope of their task. Nothing wrong with that. He hadn't given power to the comment of the way out. Only placing either hand on his hips and stared down the hall. "Well. We need to decide which direction we'll be going. Three ways, and with a mission of this caliber I don't suggest we break our forces even a little bit. Basing our actions off intel, I figure we should take one of these doors first- Long ominous hallways in complexes like these often delve deeply. And our main target could be back there; we need to make sure we can handle the rest of their forces first." While he spoke, his eyes were on Excalibur to make sure he didn't just vanish. Unfortunately, he was like a small, highly-intelligent, moron. Somehow- It was difficult to keep track of him most days. In a place like this, he wasn't eager to lose him. Once everything was done and said, he turned his attention to Chris "I'll get you to choose a door, the likelihood of combatants after the first door are pretty low. After-wards I'll take the front." |

Chris followed his two guildmates down into the inn. It was just recently that they asked him to join their team, and after a visit to Ardere it became official. He wasn’t too sure how he felt being on the same team as Excalibur, but for now it seemed Copy had a hold on him. As long as the runt didn’t get them in trouble he was ok with it.
As for Rowan, Chris wasn’t too sure what to make of the mage. He had never met the guy before being asked to join the team, and the trip didn’t give much time to get to know one another over discussing the job. That an Excalibur made conversation impossible with his high and mighty speeches. Seriously, who talked like that anymore. Still from what he had seen Rowan was a pretty nice guy.
As they descended into the basement it became apparent the mage was a little nervous about the job. Understandable since they were dealing with doppelgangers. From what Chris was able to research in the guild library they were hard to find and even harder to capture. ”Well what would you expect from a B-Rank mission.” He had muttered to himself alone in the library; not really expecting an answer.
Back in the present Chris gave his head a mental shake to clear out the memories. He was on the mission now, and that meant staying focused. He did a mental note of the ARMs he carried with him. Four that are proven useful, and five that are experimental. He had rushed on making the five, wanting to get them done before the mission. He had no idea if they would work the way he hoped.
He glanced at Rowan in front when he made his ‘observation’. It almost sounded like he was considering the third option, which made Chris relax a little better. At least he wasn’t the only one mildly worried about the job.
Copy didn’t seem to be worried at all, as he turned to Chris. Chris just looked at him blankly. This was a first. He almost expected the mage to go off on his own and leave Chris and Rowan to clean up after. Especially after the first job they did together. But they were now part of a team so maybe that changes things. Glancing left to right Chris motioned at the door to the right. ”That’s as good a direction as any.”
He walked over and opened the door. It looked like a decent sized room, about 20ft across in all dimensions. It looked like it was going to be used as a storage room, but everything looked to line the walls. Barrels with food and crates that seemed to hold various supplies. A few open crates stood with sword hilts peeking up from inside. That definitely screamed that this was not the basement of a simple inn. A door to the left seemed to lead deeper underground.

Rowan cautiously followed Chris past the door on the right. It took a few seconds, and blinks, for his eyes to adjust to the slightly darker room. Initially, it seemed to be just another simple storage room, but further observation revealed quite a few sword hilts in various crates. Squinting his eyes suspiciously, Rowan moved past Chris and took a few tentative deeper into the room. After a few moments, Rowan let out a sigh of relief and turned back to his guildmates and Excalibur. “Well, this room looks pretty cle-“ Not for the first time in his life, Rowan spoke too soon. Just as he was finishing his brilliant observation, one of the crates full of swords was flung across the room, and the plasma mage turned to see what the ruckus was about. Unfortunately, the crate was already well on its way and Rowan was hit head-on with the wooden container. Fortunately, none of the swords had impaled him, and Rowan promptly pushed himself onto his feet with a grunt.
Shaking his head, Rowan’s eyes shifted back into focus so he could spot whatever it was that he was about to wail on, but what he saw instantly changed his plans for the immediate future. One of the lordlings from the job notice, or rather one of the doppelgangers of the lordlings, stood a few meters away from the hydras, fully clad in armor, as well as wielding one hell of a sword. The blade gave off a brilliant light that flickered in intensity, sometimes dying down to something akin to embers, before blazing back to full brightness. Despite how brief the tussle had been, swords and wooden debris were scattered throughout the room. With another grunt, Rowan suddenly felt the full pain of the initial attack and looked to his guildmates. Against such a physically imposing foe, Rowan’s magic would do little to protect them.

Rowan wasn’t the only one with a foot in his mouth, it was Copy after all that initiated the sense of security with the first bloody room. Fate was fickle, today it was looking at them with discerning eyes. It wisped only a moment’s breath from Copy as the sound of combat, if you call it that- Erupted from the room that they entered. He was still relatively near the stairs, the distance wasn’t anything to sweat to close. And he did so with speed and ferocity necessary. If such power was emitted so soon, he needed to get between the opposition and his allies as fast as he could. Leaving but a small plume of dust behind his foot, his muscles were pumping fast. His stretching would have to happen during battle, as dangerous as that is. ”Excalibur! Get in tow now!” To some’s surprise, Copy doesn’t often trigger any sort of orders off to Excalibur unless it’s out of actual necessity. And it was reflected with some reluctance, but given some obedience with some bond of understanding, as Excalibur had slipped through the door along with Copy within’ milliseconds. ”Shi no Tamashī! ;死の魂” Conviction in his voice, Copy’s right arm begun to squirm and thrive a hosting of vine-like tattoos that seemed to creep like living maggots through his flesh and muscle, centric on pulling themselves out in a dark blue-black energy to his palm, it wasn’t a lengthy process- In-fact, the time it took was less than a man necessary to draw a real blade. The weapon itself remained in the dark color as if it were a blade of sheer dark-evil energy, which anyone of his level could sense with little effort- But thankfully, these two knew he wasn’t bad. The second the blade manifested, in it’s almost holy appearance, an eruption of magical energy begun to hiss around the room in a bright blue-white color, in strong contrast to his aura and weapon. Sending crates and barrels flying to the walls and leaving a clear space for the duelists to do just that. With a grit of his teeth, the aura around his body slowly begun to churn as well- he was making some serious modifications to himself for this. He had too- The aura begun to weakly hue towards a golden-white color that flowed like water and danced like fire. At this point, he pointed the blade at the woman. ”Prepare yourself!” Met with a re-grip of her blade, a foot forwards and a dash towards Copy with a mirage of swings of her blade of light. While it wasn’t initially obvious, Copy had triggered an energy from his weapon and Shinigami to help level their playing field. His speed and strength were remarkable, a drastic amplification that allowed him to wield some flowing strikes to deflect and parry with relative grace and consistency. Perfect? Not entirely, during this time. He had still been met with the blade of light that scored across his flesh- while very resistant, he was still faced with some strains. Blood and hissing of cauterizing force. But in his own success. His own blade had swung and clashed with her blade and armor plenty of times; and more than her to him- She was perhaps more physically adept, but Copy had the advantage of being technically armorless- However untrue. With a bit clearer of sight, the others would see that each and every time her blade met with him. Bones of purple energy would grow and dissipate as they clashed to reduce her impact. The two blades-fighters were playing in Copy’s field; and with his allies this would with some careful execution, become their battle to win. ”Now Excalibur!” ”Rule #8721! ; ルール# -- Overcome thy odds! And fight for your king like a true human!” Rigged? Absolutely, no one said Excalibur fought fair. And this team was wise enough to discern what they were combatting before they arrived. And so the room, and then some was met with a wash of golden light. An energy flowed into each one of them and begun to feel a bolstering of energy and power- And to their boon. Their enemy was met with the unfortunate fate of having to be brought down even further below them, closer to that of someone of a D-Rank’s potential. |

Stepping to the side to let Rowan pass Chris glanced around the room uneasily. It seemed like this was a storage area of weapons and various pieces of food and armor. Not an ordinary room found in the inn. He was beginning to think that the inn keeper might also be part of this ‘group’ when Rowan spoke. He was about to agree when the mage was cut off with a yelp.
Turning Chris watched as the young mage was struck by what appeared to be a crate full of weapons. The impact knocked the man off his feet and into one of the walls. Across the room a figure stood clad in armor; one of the attendants of the late lord. No, one of the doppelgangers.
Before he could move to intercept Copy was already moving. Through a series of attacks it looked like the two were evenly matched in strength as both delivered and took blows. Snapping himself out of his contemplation Chris rushed over to Rowan’s side. The impact seemed to leave the man disoriented and in pain. Maybe a few bones broken.
Looking up at Copy fighting he pulled held the chain at his waist. A charm like grail hung at the end of the silver chain as he spoke in a clear voice. “Holy ARM, Little Angel.” The grail and chain flashed in light, and both reappeared in stunning color and increased size. Positioning the red cross on the grail to take in both and focused his magic into it. It glowed with a bright red light that seemed to cover both Copy and Rowan; taking away some of their injuries and mending bones. It wasn’t much, but it took the edge off.
Then Chris stepped forward to help Copy and stopped. The best weapon in this fight would be his sword, but it was constantly in flames. Not the best weapon under a wooden building. His other weapon was experimental in nature, but was too big to use in close quarters. That’s when he remembered the one he finished last night before the job. He had no idea if it would work.
He canceled the Little Angel, reverting it back to the charm hanging at his belt. The two ARMs were incompatible because of their very natures. Instead his hand brushed the ARM on his other hip, the black skull attached to a black chain. He prayed that it would work without cursing him too bad. Taking a deep breath he spoke again in a clear voice. “Darkness ARM, Nightmare Skull!”
The charm flashed again, except this was a dark light that was emitted. From the darkness a black fog drifted and formed into a hand that was misty and large. Moving swiftly Chris guided the hand around Copy to touch the woman before them; taking painful efforts to make sure his own guildmate wasn’t touched. He knew that if Copy touched the fog he’d be affected by it as well.
As soon as the fog touched the woman it completely engulfed her in a thin layer. Immediately the fog took effect, as the woman automatically slowed. It wasn’t slowing like a time effect, but more of a paralysis that she fought. Already she seemed to move half her speed, and Chris let out a grunt of intense pain. He forgot the condition he set on the ARM, and was feeling the millions of needles that poked at his own muscles as the ARM was activated. But she was engulfed by the fog, and even though the effect would lessen right now she was considerably slower. I didn’t make it strong enough. But out loud he said,”Don’t touch the fog leading to me.” He didn’t know if that would actually break the contact or move the effect to Copy, but he wasn’t about to find out in combat.

Chris
HP: 170/200
MP: 90%
Actions:
- Little Angel:
Name: Little Angel
Rank: D
Type: Light, Holy ARM (healing)
Duration: 3 Posts
Cooldown: 4 Posts
Description: The dormant form of this ARM is a small silver grail (1/2” in size) with a heart fused to the metal. It’s attached to the user’s belt by a small silver chain that looks to be made of links in a heart pattern. By touching the ARM with a free hand the user focuses on the charm and says in a clear voice “Holy ARM, Little Angel”.
The charm changes into a larger version of itself (2” in size), with gold metal instead of silver and the heart is a bright red color. The chain also thickens to make up for the added weight, but it still remains attached to the user.
Strengths:
Constant Healing
Weaknesses:
Takes double damage from dark spells
No combat, and limited defensive abilities
Active: Healing Light: (D) Instant (C) 2 Posts- The heart on the grail lights up brightly and creates a surge of healing on whoever the light is focused on. It heals the target by 30 health in a burst of healing light energy, with a range of 5ft.
Magic Surge
The user can include another person in the light, allowing both to receive the healing as long as both are within 5ft of the grail.
Passive: Healing Aura- This Holy ARM grants a healing effect on the user through the chain attached to him. It heals the user 2 health every round as long as the ARM is active.
Magic Channel
Creates a barrier of light that’s able to absorb 20 points of damage for 1 round.
- Nightmare Skull:
Name: Darkness ARM, Nightmare Skull
Rank: C
Type: Dark, Darkness ARM (weapon)
Duration: 5 Posts
Cooldown: 6 Posts
Description: In its dormant state this ARM looks like it’s made of a dark reflective metal. It is a 6” chain that attaches a 1” skull to the user on their belt. The user activates it by speaking in a clear voice "Darkness ARM, Nightmare Skull".
When activated the ARM flashes with a bright light, and from the skull a large hand (2 meters across) made of smoke moves according to the user’s will. The hand moves at a rate of 30 meters in 6 seconds, and can only move up to 30 meters away with a smoke stream leading back to the user. If it touches a living creature it instantly engulfs it in a fog of smoke. The fog has no effect unless the active ability is used. The user can disengage the fog and have it continue as normal to another target within the spell’s limits.
Strengths:
Paralyzed and slowed
Weaknesses:
Costs 15% hp to cast instead of mp
Takes double damage from light spells
Active: Dark Shadow- (D)5 Posts, (C)6 Posts- By taking a portion of the 'fog' the user surrounds himself in a thin layer of darkness magic. This creates a barrier that protects the user from damage. This barrier takes up to 120hp of damage before it dissolves into mist.
Magic Channel
For 1 post the cloud thickens to a single point and strikes the next person to hit the user with a melee attack (melee weapon/spell). This discharges some of the shield at the attacker dealing damage equal to rank at the attacker. This reduces the shield hp by the same amount, and can't be used if the shield does not have sufficient hp.
Passive: Ultimate Fear: When the dark cloud covers a target the user can infuse the cloud with dark magic that completely paralyzes the target for 1 post. On the next post, and every post after, the effect dwindles by 20% (2nd post 80% speed reduction, 3rd post 60%, etc.) . Affects equal rank and lower, and B-Rank only suffers 50% speed reduction (with 10% recovery per round). A target that suffers the effect is immune until the user summons the ARM again.
Magic Surge
The user can split the fog in two to affect a second target for 1 post, but at the cost of an additional 15% hp cost.

It didn’t take very long for Copy and Chris to spring into action, and after only a few moments Rowan felt some of his physical pain being alleviated. The healing wasn’t enough to put him back into tip-top shape, but it certainly helped take the edge off. Giving himself a brief dustoff, Rowan tested the functionality of his limbs before flashing Chris a thumbs up. “Thanks kid! Let’s get right to it then!” Taking a quick look over the group’s situation, Rowan came to a quick decision and flexed his fingers as he prepared his support spells. Wispy blue magic flowed smoothly from his fingertips and danced about his body before lunging out towards Copy, unlocking the magical potential of his teammate. “Spell Chrono Boost!” The plasma mage nodded before deciding that he’d give Chris the most focus for this battle and turned to his other comrade. “I hope you’ve got some shiny magic because you’re about to get a huge boost.”.
Without waiting for an answer, the magic surrounding Rowan came surged into Chris, forging a magical link between the two. This temporary bond would allow Rowan to bear half of Chris’s magic costs, but Rowan’s spell casting didn’t end there. Flexing his muscles once more, Rowan reached into Chris’s magical wells and concentrated on the ‘pipes’ that they flowed through. With a final pull, Rowan unlocked the potential of Chris’s magical prowess with a shout. “Spell Capacitor Boost!” The sensation that comes with such a boost varies from person to person, but the most similar thing Chris might relate the feeling to would be suddenly being deprived of congestion. Nodding sagely at work well done, Rowan turned his attention back to Copy to see how the team leader fared.

Drawing sweat and anxiety to Copy, knowing that his foe was a doppelganger, capable of such beyond human movements was trying; it would slowly start to learn from him too- If they let it. His eyes steeled, the trickle of blood and cauterized wounds around his body were a bit of a distraction and a reminder that despite the things deterrents that the three afflicted it with, it kept up. Only a few moments and dozens of clashed blades. A red hue washed over his body as he felt the sting and burn of his wounds slowly fade; and even less time shot by in his engagement before a cloud flowed onto his enemy. A perk of his ears indicated hearing the instruction from Chris. "Now!" The thought roared in his mind. "Rrwwwaagh! Hakai-ryoku!" A burst of energy washed into the blue hue that Rowan had boosted the swordsman with. Funneling through his body, down through the tattoo and eventually to the blade. Increasing it in side to something of a bastard-sword with flaring flickers of energy that flowed in flakes near it. With a bullet-time moment; his attention to detail had to increase. His enemy slowed heavily and he himself was amplified- If injuring himself in the process, sacrifices had to be made he felt. And so he witnessed with a quick strafe of his body- And the downwards motion of his foes blade. Impacted against the ground beside him; causing a stir and minor explosion of kinetic force firing small pebbles and chunks of stone across the room. Having adjusted his blade to his right hip, angled towards the ground. It gave him what he needed, force. Shifting his left foot forwards to get as close as he could to the beast, and swung the blade of raw energy and the flowing energy of a shinigami through it (Which wasn't being masked, Copy's magic feels very evil). Cascading his blade across the chest of the creature, paired with a energy he infused with almost all of his swings. Encouraged the kinetic bursting and wave of aura that flew the opponent further across the room. Granting some modicum of space for his allies. And he himself room to pursue. Each of his followed strikes were met with the same ferocity from before. But their foe wavered, blood was trickling through the armor and his strikes were landing far more frequently. And he himself was taking few; none of which he didn't merely need to use his aura to deter enough to be considered negligible. |

Description: Harnessing a pigment of the full force of the Grimoire. Copy is capable of wreathing his entire body in the tattoos, glowing brighter and more viciously while the energy seeps into his flesh empowering his physical limits beyond that of a typical mortal. His energy becomes dense and ooze the energy of a Shinigami. Through this modification of his body he is granted an increase of 25% Speed and Strength bonuses.
RELEASE!:
Strengths:
-Due to the nature of how the tattoos shine brightly. It provides ample lighting in the even darkest of areas.
Weaknesses:
-The user appears to resemble a Dark Wizard during this state. As their aura, energy and appearances take a much more dark and malevolent hue.
-Obnoxious - The user must announce the presence of their power. By screaming Shi no Tamashi.
- Hakai-Ryoku:
- Name: Hakai-ryoku (Break-Force) ; 破壊力

Description: Upon calling the power of the grimoire. Copy is capable of harnessing the energy through the tattoo's into the sword created. After conjuring a powerful source of energy into his blade. Each attack will extend outwards in a 'wave' of hones and destructive aura. Crashing into anything that follows in its wake. The wave itself starts off the length of the blade and extends five-feet for every ten-feet distance traveled; to a maximum of 40 Feet. The speed of the strikes travel at 20km/h.
Due to the nature of each slash containing aura-based magic. It impacts and damages barriers much harder granting a 15% Bonus damage to barriers, while simultaneously increasing the velocity allowing increased damage of +5HP Damage/Strike
Strengths:
For the duration all of Copy's weapon attacks are 'Cone-AOE'.
Barriers are subject to heavy assault from this technique
This technique can be used to clear paths in otherwise un-traversable terrain. 'The Trail We Blaze'
Weaknesses:
User suffers 3HP/Round bypassing resistances.
Once activated it cannot be ended early by the caster. (Can still nullified by allies/foes)
This is just as likely to hit allies that are too close to enemies.
This is prone to cause collateral damage for any 'excess' wave that is emitted.

Strengths:
-Versatile, Ranged/Melee
-Is considered a weapon attack, meaning any bonuses applies to weapons apply to this technique
Weaknesses:

With the ‘woman’ beginning to fall after Copy’s last sword swipe Chris ceased the magic flowing into the skull. The black fog retreated back into the skull, and he let the charm fall inert against his leg with a sigh. That was an intense fight, and one that he hoped they wouldn’t have to repeat soon. Looking at his two companions he could tell they felt the same. ”Let’s rest a bit before we continue. You both look like one more hit will drop you.”
Leaning against one of the crates Chris held up his ARM Holy Angel. Looking at the design he tried to think of what he could do next time. His sword was dangerous in an area full of wood, and his spear was too big. All he could do was stab with it, which would be helpful unless Copy ran to the front again. He wasn’t good enough with the spear to stab around the young mage.
His eyes drifted to his wrists, and a smile twitched his lips. The bracers on his wrists were also experiments that he worked on before the job, but he never got past the testing phase. They could work, but he wasn’t sure how well.
After a moment he channeled magic into the charm, and once again it grew in size and acquired more color. He used it to heal the wounds of his companions until they seemed to be fully recovered. He then rested for a moment to let his magic recover. He didn’t want to run out if they ran into another ‘boss’. ”That should do it. Hopefully the others here aren’t that bad.”

Rowan watched as Copy let loose one of the strongest attacks he had seen the swordsman perform until this point, and let out a little cheer as the enemy was sent flying across the room. Of course, Copy didn’t stop his assault there, and little time passed before the aura user was back to pressing the enemy with a torrent of strikes. Blood quickly poured out of the many wounds in the doppelganger, and after one final attack, the enemy fell.
With their first foe defeated, Rowan immediately plopped onto the floor, both physically and mentally exhausted. The job had warned that it was quite difficult, but the plasma mage hadn’t expected for them to encounter such a tough enemy right off the bat. He nodded as Chris suggested getting a breather before moving on, and for several minutes the group rested as they recovered both health and magic. He was surprised to see that despite the amount of strikes that had actually hit Copy, the swordsman didn’t look too injured. The plasma mage marveled at the amazing display of durability before shrugging his shoulders silently and turning to observer Chris. As Rowan watched his teammates prepare for the fights coming ahead, he decided he take a short nap rather than think about the mission. Turning over to his side, Rowan promptly curled himself into a ball before calling over his shoulder. “I’m just gonna take a quick rest here… just let me know when we’re about to move out… alright?”

While Copy wasn't necessarily open about what he was, the regeneration would eventually clue people in. As the wounds that crashed through his body were met with metal underneath the skin, still with blood pooled through parts of his dress clothes- He was injured, certainly. But works of energy behind the scenes helped keep him on his feet. He knew that conservation of energy was going to be key to this mission, so he was glad his reliance on his aura was minimalized, for now. As Rowna had indicated resting. Copy wiped off some sweat and dug through the debris of the room over to the woman that was victim of the Doppelganger; deigning to pick a knight of her appearance up and brought her to the tavern above; rather than leave her to wither away beneath in the cellars with them. After some conversation with those atop, he had eventually made his way back downstairs. Gently urging his allies to press forth. Instead of taking the hint of the door nearest in the room they had conflict; he figured they mays well start delving further. By taking the long darkened out hallway. With the passage of about ten minutes, the lot would have traversed down another lengthy flight of rickety stairs. The sounds of voices emerged in a stifled but audible sense. The enemies were near; but it was difficult to discern from where, that alone was motion enough for Copy to resume the wielding of his blade that slithered its way out of his tattoos. "Seems we've got a handful nearby... You lot ready?" And in the trio; they forgot the fourth. Who was cheerily posted between Copy's legs. "Always!" Excalibur exclaimed. And their targets silenced themselves... |

Chris let out a sigh as Copy roused them from their relaxation. He knew the man was right; they needed to continue and get the job done. But that last fight took a lot out of them, and they needed to rest.
However once he felt like his energy returned after healing everyone he pushed himself off the crate he was leaning against. He let the goblet charm fall back to his side as he stretched. It was something to occupy his mind while he rested; thinking of ways to improve the ARM. He had a few, and unfortunately they were inspired by Excalibur.
He followed behind Copy as they made their way further into the ‘basement’. He figured he needed to be close enough to see the fight in order to participate, as is looked like Rowan’s magic was more boosting than anything else. His fingers brushed the skull hanging from his belt absently, but he made himself stop. This fight he was going to try the other ARM he made.
Hearing the voices ahead Chris began to feel a little anxious. He wasn’t a battle veteran, and he hoped he never would be. The moment battles never worried him would be the time he retired. He tapped the bracers on his wrist with a slight smile and a nod. ”I’m ready.”

Roused from his comfortable sleep, Rowan grumped as the 4 briskly made their way deeper into the ‘basement’. Chills ran down Rowan’s back once more as the group traversed a rather long darkened hallway. As they went further and further, it seemed there were less and less sources of light. The plasma mage’s stomach churned as they went down one of the least stable set of stairs Rowan had encountered in his life, but before he could open his mouth to complain, the faint sound of voices emanated from the room ahead. Immediately, Rowan opened up his magical channels, not willing to get knocked about this time around. The plasma mage locked eyes with both Copy and Chris as the 4 paused at the door, right up until Excalibur opened his dumb mouth. Gritting his teeth with frustration, Rowan fired up the full extent of his magic, already forming his signature spell around Copy. “Copy, I’m gonna fire up a plasma storm, stay in it, Chris, you stay out of it if possible.” With his spells cast and his words of advice spoken, Rowan would then stick close to Copy, making sure to stay behind the Hydra team leader.
Once in the room, all others would most likely be able to sense a build up of magical energy emanating from Rowan. The plasma mage wasn’t well versed in using offensive magic, but this one spell did wonders for taking out groups of enemies. Once enough plasma was built up, Rowan let out burst of energy, plasma storm clouds immediately rising above his head. With it’s arrival, a slow, but continuously rising crackling fills the room as the plasma storm prepares its first volley of attacks.

- Spells Used:
- Plasma Barrier:
Name: Plasma Barrier
Rank: C
Type: Plasma, Defensive
Duration: Casted instantly. Persists until destroyed or for 3 posts, whichever is first (80 damage disperses the barrier). Can have multiple simultaneously, but does not stack. Can replace older one.
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: Rowan forms a 1m radius plasma barrier around himself or a person of his choosing as long as they are within 20m. The barrier forms instantly and is completely transparent until it is triggered. The barrier ONLY blocks magic, including melee types. It is important to note that physical weapons, attacks, etc. will pass through completely unhindered.(I.E. A fist covered in flames will have its flames, and to extent its extra damage, negated, while the fist will pass through and do its damage. However, a fist MADE out of fire will be stopped by the barrier.) If the magic was created within the 1m radius of the barrier, it will hit. An interesting characteristic of the barrier is that it will follow the person it is cast on, and it is only one way, which means the person inside can throw spells out of the barrier. If the barrier finds conflict in its position it will shatter (i.e. If a person with the barrier walks towards a magical wall, the barrier will shatter because its inability to continue with the person.)
Strengths:
-It blocks double C-ranked damage easily
-It lasts until destroyed or for 3 posts, whichever comes first.
-Can be cast on allies as well as self
-Does not hinder spells on inside
Weaknesses:
-Only affects magic
-Higher rank spells will easily obliterate it
-Spells within the barrier aren't negated, therefore close range combatants do not care.
-It is possible to block ally's projectiles by standing in the way
-Disperses when in positional conflict
-Will not protect against instant spells that aren't projectiles
- Plasma Storm:
Name: Plasma Storm
Rank: C
Type: Plasma, Offensive
Duration: 3 Posts, Instant Cast
Cooldown: 4 Posts
Description: Rowan forces plasma into the air around him, and converts it into it's most unstable state. This causes a plasma storm to erupt in a 10m radius (20m diameter) around him, damaging enemies with bolts of plasma for 1/2 rank damage (20hp) per post that they are standing in the aoe. The bolts are signalled by the sound of crackling before they strike. The storm resembles a lightning storm as well as follows Rowan, but has none of the properties of lightning, or a lightning storm. Plasma Barriers within a Plasma Storm are healed for 20 damage per post. If for whatever reason, Rowan casts Plasma Storm when a Guardian Shield is active (and vice versa), then both spells are immediately cancelled, and Rowan takes 50% of his current HP in damage.
Strengths:
-Heals Plasma Barriers
-Totals to more than C-Rank damage
-Follows Caster
Weaknesses:
-Enemies can leave the area
-Can't be used with Guardian Shield
-Does less than C-Rank Damage per post
-Defensive in Nature

He thought it couldn't get any worse; but with the realization of just how many enemies were actually present in the room. He had to shove a foot in his mouth; and perhaps reveal something a little unusual to his allies. His allies close behind, he figured. As the blade was held to his side and prepared; his enemies had some indication of their presence prior, but not to the degree of their entrance which worked in their favor. As Copy was granted enough time to get into the room to make his entry a bit more effective. Only with the occasional deflection of blade or the shield tinging away brushes of magic. In the hurl of energy and screams. Copy emerged with his own shout- "Bullet Rain!" An effective riot control technique he learned through his draconic-slaying magic. With a path having been cleared behind him for his allies; it had zoned the enemies to be in a range that could be targeted without affecting his allies. By firing out a handful of metallic objects from his body. Each one begun to shrapnel themselves and regenerate slowly; firing flaks upon the hordes of enemies. Impaling them with vicious chunks of metal and forcing a spray of blood that coated around the room. It wasn't necessarily a pleasant sight, but the four weren't in the position to make choices of pleasantries. Perhaps what was most intriguing. Is the metallic components continued to fire like machine guns and didn't seem to be letting up for some time. (2 Rounds) |

- All Attacks are the following:
Name: Destiny Destroyer/Divider
Rank: C
Type: Offensive [Melee/Ranged]
Duration: Instant
Cool-down: 0
Description: Harnessing the density and power of his aura. Copy is capable of wreathing a weapon of choice in the energy. Raising the weapon to the sky he can either slash/swing forwards sending a wave at 30feet/s that can reach up to 80feet; the width of the attack is 10-feet wide. However, the energy that fires from his aura like most other techniques wields a huge collateral of damage; given the circumstance, he can choose to wield the power solely as a melee-ranged attacked and instead of ranged force; can merely cause a knockback of the hit target up to 50ft (Only affects equal or lower ranks).
Strengths:
-Versatile, Ranged/Melee
-Is considered a weapon attack, meaning any bonuses applies to weapons apply to this technique
Weaknesses:
-When used in range, it can cause a large amount of collateral damage
-Can target allies as the width cannot be altered
-The direction of the attack cannot be altered once it has been fired.
- Defiance of Shiranai:
- Bullet Rain:
- Spell Name: Bullet Rain
Rank: C
Duration: 2 Rounds
Cool-Down: 3 Rounds
Type: Offensive/AoE
Description: The user is capable of unleashing a hail of bullets into the sky and manipulate them to come raining down across the whole battlefield riddling in the hundreds of bullets, once the spell is cast- the user can continue acting as normal without worry of injury from their own spell. Becoming extraordinarily difficult to dodge/defend against. Dealing ½ C-Rank AoE Damage for the duration, and dealing an additional +50% against barriers/armor. This has a radius of 25M
Strengths:
Deadly against huge numbers
Defenses are futile against it
Weaknesses:
While he can manipulate the bullets, an ally could get hit without proper coordination
It’s collateral potential is very high to the surroundings
It can’t be ended early

Chris watched in amazement as a shower of electricity seemed to fall from within the building. IN THE BUILDING. He knew when it came to magic that things tend to not follow the normal rules, but still it was pretty cool. And dangerous at the same time. At least for the twelve figures in the room. And Rowan wants Copy to walk in that? Still it was recommended that he stay out of it so that was good.
With that he decided to stand in the doorway. Not really the most heroic act, but it was the safest while sticking to the plan. Focusing his magic into his bracers he spoke in a clear voice. ”Dimension ARM. Instant Portal!” The rings along the bracers glowed in a dark light; the left a dark red light and the right a dark blue.
Hovering over his palms were a ring of the appropriate colors and he glanced at the battle. ”Test one.” He threw the red ring above a group of the men under attack, and it expanded along the roof until it was about three meters wide. He tossed the blue under a different group of men; this time expanding along the ground the same way. He opened the portals.
The men standing on the blue ring fell through instantly, completely taken aback from the confusion of the storm and bullets. They appeared through the red portal; falling on top of the ones below. It was enough to knock all six to the ground in one clump. Chris held his hands open and the rings appeared again. ’Test two.”
This time he shot the rings out at the jumbled men and was pleased to see the shots fazing in and out to avoid wild attempts to bat them before they reached their intended targets. It looked like his tests were a complete success as he peppered half the men in what appeared to be energy rings.

- Dimenssion ARM, Instant Portal:
Name: Dimension ARM, Instant Portal
Rank: C
Type: Non-Elemental, Dimension ARM (armor)
Duration: 5 Posts
Cooldown: 6 Posts
Description: When this ARM is in the dormant state it appears as a pair of silver bracers with five circle designs engraved upon the metal. To activate this ARM the user focuses his magic into the bracers and speaks in a clear voice, “Dimension ARM, Instant Portal”.
Upon activation all the circles light up on the pair of bracers. The right are a dark blue color, and the ones on the left are dark red. The user can attack at a distance using what looks like bolts of portal energy that lash out as projectiles. The projectiles deal as much damage as a weapon of equal rank, using the user’s unarmed attack as added damage (melee damage at a range). These bolts of ‘energy’ can travel up to 30 meters in 2 seconds before disappearing.
Strengths:
• Ranged Attack
Weaknesses:
• Easy to see the two points in mid-air
• Can be used by friend and foe alike
Active: Travel Gate: (D) Instant (C) 2 Posts- The user can turn a pair of the ‘energy bolts’ (1 dark blue and 1 dark red) that he throws into larger portals that are ‘linked together’. These bolts expand to a size of 3 meters each, and their ‘openings’ are dictated by the user (the direction spells or creatures can enter the portals). These portal last for the round they are created before disappearing. Anything obstructing the portals when they close (a person half way through) is forcefully ejected out the portal they entered before the portal disappears. These portals have a maximum range of 30 meters from the user.
Magic Surge
The user can extend the portals to last an additional post before disappearing.
Passive: Portal Shots- Because of the unpredictable nature of the ARM; the shots fired can phase out of existence and reappear before striking a target. As a result they can bypass most defense of vital areas; granting the user an additional 30% damage on attacks.
Magic Channel
For 1 post the shots fired by the user 'drains' some of the effect from spells and attacks that pass through or close by, reducing their damage by 30%.

The surprise entrance from the trio, despite being slightly telegraphed, was an immediate rousing success. Almost instantly the room was filled with an air of panic, and spells flew about the room from both friend and foe. Rowan was pleased to see Copy’s forward assault, and naturally the enemies in the room targeted the swordsman with spells and physical attacks alike. However, the plasma barrier around Copy held strong, and every few seconds, bolts of plasma magic would strike at enemies, giving them a nasty shock, as well as repairing the magical shield around Copy. As per Rowan’s advice, Chris stood a bit further back, away from the plasma storm, and Rowan nodded slightly as the newbie quickly dispatched his own group of enemies. After a minute or some of yelling, blood, spells, and just overall confusion, a half silence filled the room, the only sounds being heavy breathing and the slowing crackles of Rowan’s plasma storm. Twelve fresh corpses lay about the ground in various locations in the room, and Rowan wiped some nervous sweat off his brow. He hadn’t really done much in terms of activeness in the fight, but the sheer number of enemies had given him a bit of a shock, and now his surprise caught up to him all at once. For a few moments, it seemed that the room was calm, and Rowan clapped his hands together before opening his mouth to speak.
Before the plasma mage could say anything, however, the blood that splattered the room suddenly began drawing itself back towards the twelve corpses, and Rowan watched in horror as the various limbs and flesh wounds pulled themselves together until all twelve of the doppelganger zealots were back and up on their feet, with not too happy looks upon their faces. Coincidentally, Rowan’s plasma storm sputtered out one last bolt of magic, doing nothing more than annoy one of the enemies before dissipating completely. They quickly picked their weapons back up, and Rowan let out a slight whimper before charging up another spell. “How many times are we gonna have to put you guys down?” He asked the question to noone in particular, but it didn’t matter because the zealots didn’t give any reply anyway. With a shout Rowan opened up Copy’s magical channels, hoping that the swordsman would have another powerful group spell at his disposal.

Name: Spell Capacitor Boost
Rank: D
Type: Plasma, Support, Buff

This buff only affects spells that can have primary effects. (I.E. Requip and Takeover spells can not be buffed, but any of their sub-active spells will be boosted if used in the 1 post duration.)
Strengths:
-Simple, yet effective boost
-Can be used on allies
-Short Cooldown
Weaknesses:
-No direct damage, or offensive effects
-Buff must be taken advantage of immediately
-Has no effect on requip, takeover, etc. spells
-Only works for the first spell used
