Leonard was impressed with how the guild has been performing. They have been taking the rank up exams frequently, and it made him very happy. And like the other tests he had done before, this was the same. However, unlike the rest, he would like to get it under way as soon as he sees Neko. These thoughts were in Leonard's head as he stood waiting patiently for Neko with the Paladenium in hand.

Neko walked patiently to meet Leonard. He had received a letter saying he could begin his rank up exam and was so excited. Finally he had found where his guild master stood. Neko walked up to him with a big smile. Haha seem's like just yesterday I was fighting Alice to join Fairy Tail Huh Leo ???

Neko came with a smile to Leonard. He waited to hear what he had to say. And judging from his words, Neko had no idea what is going to happen. In reply to Neko, Leonard simply smiled and held the blade tightly and dashed towards Neko, his exam begun.

Neko wanted to start of nicely and wasn't sure what leo wanted fro his exam. When leo rushed him he realized it was going to be a fight. Alright it's a fight you want it's what i'll give you. Neko stood in a ready fighting stance then smiled as flame's sparked on his hand's. Neko wasn't the strongest mage out there but that didn't mean he wasn't quick. Neko bolted for Leo. Neko wasn't sure what the blade did and he only herd rumor's but all he knew was that was a strong blade. Neko leaped and kicked hard causing the blade to fly off to the side. Come on I dont even have my armor yet gime a break. He was aware then Leonard was a requip mage so neko didnt plan on danceing with the blade's. Neko calmly slid to the side and flew past Leo.

Leonard was impressed at how he was able to disarm him and how quick Neko moved and keep calm about what happened, commenting that he didn't have his armor on yet. However, Leonard didn't give him time for that. As Neko slid past Leonard, he equipped a hammer and struck Neko on the his side directly below his arms. Right after he struck him with it, he equipped another blade and proceeded to strike him downwards.

Neko was caught in a blow with leonard's hammer. He gasped out as the hammer caught him. He was about to be attacked when he grabbed the blade leonard had requiped and started to felt it. I .... told... you play fair!! Neko strugled to keep the blade from coming down on him but finally melted it in two. Neko's eye's sparked with a little anger then he kneed Leonard in the stomach and raised his foot high and kicked leonard to the side. Neko popped his neck and knuckles then stared at Leonard. Let's get this started!! Neko threw his hands out and seven black and silver flames around neko. Neko wasnt sure what leo would do next so he kept the flame's closer so they would be hit before neko would.

Leonard's blades were stopped by Neko. He practically destroyed them with his flames. After that, he kneed and kicked Leonard that made him take steps back. Neko has put up quite a fight that would make Leonard go all out if this goes too out of hand. Because if it did, the wrong message could be delivered. Now that Neko was ready, Leonard had to be more careful at how he go on about this. Casting Reshape:Wings and requipping two greatswords, he stood in wait for an attack from Neko.

More cautious I see eh?? Neko watched Leonard requip. Neko had to cautious. he had destroyed one of the guild master's weapon's. He didn't mean to he just didn't want to get hurt. Neko grinned as he saw the sun getting close to sun set. I think you might wanna hurry before night fall... Who knows what could happen then. Neko's eye'd flashed with a faint power. Neko charged leonard. He got up close to Leo when he used all seven of his flames to attack. Then before he could react to that neko landed a bunch hard in the gut.

Neko made his move and aggressively rushed towards Leonard. From his current situation, it would be folly to stand ground and defend himself with that kind of spell. So, as Neko got near to Leonard, he flew above him, passing him by. And as he did, he threw a volley of daggers at Neko. Then, when Leonard landed, he cast Slayer's Power and was surrounded with a white aura. He then dashed towards Neko with his two swords.

Nekos eyes darted up as he watched Leo leap into the air. Then he he tried avoiding his daggers but his arm was caught by two of them. His eyes darted to Leo with anger when he saw Leo he was surrounded with a white aura. Neko grinned and foucased his magic. It was now twilight. The slight time in between night and day. His silver aura formed around him. you wanna fight let's fight! neko flexed his muscles ready for Leo. Neko wasn't stupid and he knew Leo was strong on top of the fact he was the guild master. He'd herd about his power and he wasn't going to challenge it. He wanted to stay alive and finish his test. Nekos silver and black flames grew brighter and he moved. Neko darted to the side avoiding Leo and his power. Neko circled him like a cat observing its opponent.

Things got serious as Neko power grew. It would seem that this test has gone of to the wrong track. His flames grew brighter and more fierce and he was on his was to compete with Leonard's attack. It has now become twilight and Neko has already warned Leonard of avoiding taking the test too long. Now that Neko was circling around Leonard, Neko has put himself in range of a dangerous spell. Leonard has no choice but to do it if he plans on putting some sense to Neko on what the test was all about. Leonard removed the spells he was using and closed his eyes while he took a deep heavy breath. "Neko, I hope you will find the essence of this test from this." he said slowly coldly still with his eyes closed. And as he opened his eyes, a strong gust of wind blew out coming from Leonard. And Neko was close enough and was caught in the wind. Slowly, everything caught in the wind was being sliced, Leonard had used one of his bladestorm spells.

Neko was was about to launch himself at Leonard when he said something. Neko I hope you will find the essence of the test from this. Neko was confused by this. He didn't understand at first then the wind picked up. He felt a sharp pain in shoulder, then his leg, then soon his whole body was covered in cut's. Neko threw his arms up to shield his face. Once the wind cleared neko fell to the floor. He was covered in streak's of his own blood. Neko's eye's started to tear up. I... I cant even fight the wind.... how can I help other's. Neko looked down at the cut's down at his body. He slowly began to realize the test's meaning. Neko pulled a little veil of blood from his pocket. He drunk the blood and changed into a demon. He grew kat ear's and a kat tail. His hight grew to seven feet. His nail's and teeth grew longer and sharper. His eye's grew red and all his wound's healed. Sorry for not seeing it sooner. I will go through with the test now. Neko sat down calmly waiting for Leo to speak. He didnt wanna pull a former mistake. He didnt want to rush into a fight and take it out of hand.

Neko fell to the ground as Leonard used a Bladestorm spell. When he stopped the spell from completely devastating Neko. Leonard looked a t Neko as he bathing in his own blood. Yet, there was something about Neko and his words. As if what he said to him earlier gave him a hint on what the test was all about. Shortly after, Neko drank something from a vial and became a demon. He also said about being ready to go through with his test. This stopped Leonard from his tracks and raise a brow. Leonard stood there and looked coldly at Neko "Oh... Really now? What do you suppose this exam is then, Neko?" he said intimidatingly.

Personally I believe that for me I cant just get angry and go wild every time someone say's something mean about me or the guild. I need to understand my limit's of who I fight and how or I will get hurt or die. Tear's formed at neko's eye's as he spoke his own truth and the reality of it hit him. Ive picked countless fight's with rune knight's and other mages and beaten countless monster's because they have talked trash about us or hurt a guild member. I know I shouldnt have gone around recklessly but I dont want anyone talkin bad about my family! Neko clenched his fist's in anger then released his fist's with a sigh. Please Leonard if that's not what the test is about then what is?

Leonard listened carefully to Neko's answer. It was something about self-control. Sadly, that was not the answer he was looking for. Though he was glad the test made Neko realize that. Self-control is something everyone needs. Leonard sighed and looked down "Unfortunately, that is not what this test is all about, Neko. But you could come at me with all your might and bring it out on me." he said coldly. The answer was wrong, but it could provide Neko with some fuel to get things going again.

Neko's eye flashed with rage. First you stop me from trying to go all out. Then your trying to get me to go all out. You make this quite confusing for me. But if you wish for me to go all out.... so be it. Neko was up in a flash ramming his fist's into Leonard's chest sending him up into the air. I am a demon of speed and strength so this will hurt quite a lot guild master or not. Waiting for Leonard to fall he crouched low on all fours waiting like a kat ready to pounce on its prey.

Leonard got Neko angry. He dashed towards Leonard and hit him hard that it sent him flying. Getting him angry and pissed might be the only way to get him to know the test's purpose, sheer strength or power wasn't the answer. Anyway, all that Leonard needed to do now was defeat Neko. As Leonard was up in the air, he caught a glimpse of Neko in readying stance, possibly waiting for him to go down to the ground. Leonard decided to use Reshape:Wings and stopped his fall and requipped Paladenium. Now with the blade of light in hand, he swooped down at Neko and hit him hard with it, cleaving through the ground with sheer force that sent debris flying all over the place and an explosion of light the emanated from the blade as it hit the ground.

Neko watched as Leo requiped his light sword. Neko did his best to avoid the blow but he got caught in it and it sent him flying. Neko landed and hit his back hard on a rock. He caughed up blood. y-you... Can hit and blow me up all you want.... But I will get up and fight! neko struggled to get up with all of his cuts and bruses. Now on his feet and blood rolling down the side if his mouth he grinned. im gonna fight until my last breath! I'm gonna grow strong and one day ill be guild master. One day I'm gonna beat you. Then ill make sure no one hurts anyone in fairytail!!! Nekos body quiverd with rage. Neko leaps through the air. He saw that he ha the blade he got rid of earlier. He aimed for Leo's wrist and slashed at it with his claws. Neko landed on the other side hoping to have gotten him. Now he Waite in the same stance as before but this time more ready and waitin for him to swing again.

Leonard looked at the beaten down Neko whose rage seemed to be at its peak. Neko said that he will do what it takes for no one in Fairy Tail to be harmed. However, Leonard heard this more than once already, but he could see that this was his true intentions. Much like the others that came before him. This was good though, they fell in love with the guild, the family. Seeing Neko in his sorry state, still pushing through to what he wants, dashed towards Leonard to cut off Leonard's wrist. But there was no need for that anymore. He side stepped to the side and hammered Neko to the ground, slamming him hard. "Don't get up, you passed." he said happily. "The test was a test of your resolve, your heart. To see how far you are willing to go for what you hold dear, for the guild. Sorry for the beating, I'll get some medicine from my shack nearby. Oh and you wanting to become guild master is good. But there are things you need to learn for more than twelve years. I was in the guild sine I was seven, you know." he continued. Then proceeded to his shack for the medicine.

Neko was so close to getting leonard when he was slammed into the ground. His heart skipped a beat at leonard's words. He had finally passed. Slowly he rose up and walked with leonard to his shack. As they walked he returned to his normal self. Then demon in him had retreated from it physical form and was asleep inside him again. Hehe 12 years is all work it. I will do what ever it takes for my family..... after there all I have left....Neko looked down for a moment remembering his past but then looked back up as they walked.Wow thats a long while you've been here..
