Gods and Aliens

Clover town certainly was a pleasant place to spend your day in. But there was something even more pleasant than the quiet streets and rustic homes that had their own charm. And that was the lake that surrounded the whole place, as it was on a small island. Though it appeared that not many people would approach the water's surface on the side opposite to the port, which made the moon goddess question why. With the sun reflected in the crystal clear liquid and plenty of trees to provide shade, it was almost a perfect place to rest up, regain your lost energy in mere moments. Noheme honestly needed a place like this, as she was working hard as of late. Ever since her most loyal spirit died, she was focused on work, which made the bad memories and feelings go away. Alas, she was incapable of going any further right now. Else she could work herself to death. Death of her mortal vessel anyway, as her divine form was still quite immortal. But maybe this place could serve as yet another distraction that would help her gather more positive thoughts, placing itself alongside battle. Yes, even someone who loved to fight should get little bit of peace once in a while. So, as the goddess approached the water's edge, she smiled gently. There was seemingly no one around right now and that meant she didn't even have to pretend anything. Not that she would really be doing something like that often, but it was a nice relief. With her tail waggling from side to side and her ears twitching lightly, she would touch the water to find out it was quite warm as well, perhaps good enough for a swim.

Should she? Ah, there was no one around. At least for now, anyway. So why not? She deserved it after all! Who would deny a little swim to someone who saved to whole world at least once? Not really bothering to think about it anymore, the moon goddess would bravely remove her attire completely until there was nothing left but bare, tanned skin. Not even folding the cloth, she merely threw it to the side and jumped in, creating a wave and several ripples to damage the nearly perfect surface. But soon enough, as the girl stopped moving, it would return to it's original state once more. It felt good. It was shallow enough for her to not have to swim this close to the land either. So she just sat down against the grass-covered edge of ground and started resting her body, as if she was sitting in a hot bath. It could not compare in the slightest, but it was at least something. She could already feel her stiff muscles getting little better as the rays of light washed over her, warmth filling ever nook and cranny of her being. Days like these were probably what finally pushed her over the edge when she was nothing more than a god in different world. Looking down at all this, she decided to go on her own quest to learn about humanity and their customs, eventually ending up here in this very spot. Only if she could share this moment with someone else. It sounded like so little, yet it would have a great impact on the entire experience she was having. And just like that, thoughts of Ai, the spirit she lost were returning once more. Sighing, she hoped that maybe a distraction would soon show itself and help her forget once more.

Peaceful moments like no other had their faults as well. It was rather easy to disrupt them with just about anything, as sounds of any volume could easily penetrate the deafening silence of this place. Sure, there was a little bit of noise coming from the clover town that was in the distance behind them, but something like that was easily dimmed and overthrown by the sounds of nature. Birds singing their melodies and critters scurrying around in their games and ploys. Though Noheme herself was not exactly all that attuned to the nature of this world, her sister was. And ever since Leila was revived, she kept on teaching the moon goddess all kinds of things about the local flora and even fauna. It was honestly quite impressive how much the Eden's spirit knew about this world despite being of the same origin as Noheme.

But as time passed by, the sounds coming from everywhere around grew slightly larger. Almost as if something was jumping around in the trees. Obviously, there were plenty of squirrels that could do that. Only, this sounded like a giant one. The fox girl's ears twitched as she started focusing on the sounds, hoping to maybe catch a pervert that is trying to peep on her exposed body. But for some moment afterwards, the strange sounds grew silent. Disregarding it all, she simply continued enjoying her bath without being interrupted. But only to hear it all again mere moments later. She even felt as if another being was watching her, a predator. This was perhaps for the very first time she felt like that, as she usually played the role of stalker and hunter. But now, she grew slightly concerned.

At least until the moment she heard a large growl. One that a living being would make if hungry. Sighing with a smile, the thought of some large animal stalking her for food entered her mind. Turning around, she reached for a leather bag that lied next to her clothes, pulling out a bread that was filled with both meat and vegetables. A little bit of something for anyone, really. Exposing the food, she would leave it on it's wrapped, surrounded by grass little bit away from herself as she simply rested her arms and head on the ground while the rest of her body was still submerged. As she lied completely motionless, she wondered what type of animal would come out.

Noheme expected a great many things to come out of the bush. Any sort of animal or perhaps said pervert that was actually stalking her or something. But what actually came out, well, she did not expect in the slightest. Almost looking like an ivory-color snake, something came out rather carefully and snagged the bread away at speed that most would consider quite brutal. But thinking about it some more, rather than snake, it was probably tail of larger creature. But something that would have tail this big and long? The girl had absolutely no idea what it could be. Though there was at least one fact pretty clear. Whatever this being was, it was rather careful about getting it's food instead of just jumping from the bushes and attacking the moon goddess which is what a predator would normally do. In this field, even she had some knowledge. After all, she was from Joya. Land that was entirely covered in wild jungle. While the capital and any larger settlement was completely fine with the environment, smaller tribes had to fight the nature in order to even survive! And as leader of one of these tribes, she knew very well how predators attacked her people. This was no predator and if it was, it was also dormant right now.

In the end, thinking about it all was quite useless. The creature that took form similar to human female poked out of the bushes as it snacked on her bread with completely closed eyes. It was probably so hungry that it forgot all about possible dangers the moment it got some food into it's belly. And while it looked like female, Noheme was somewhat reluctant about it for now and continued using 'it' in her head. With a sigh, she tried to calm herself and look around. There was no one else in this place, making her completely alone with this being who also appeared to be somewhat injured judging by it's next actions as it retreated into the flora. Searching her bag a little bit more, the fox girl managed to find some bandages that could be used to stop smaller bleeding. While she herself had pretty insane self-healing factor, she was no longer capable of helping others with her magic. Which forced her into another waiting position, as the creature had to approach her by itself if she hoped to ever treat it's wounds. So for now, she just remained half on land and half in the water, waiting patiently.

It was pretty clear that there was some semblance of inteligence in this beast, as it would not have come out otherwise. It must have known what bandages were, meaning it actually lived somewhat modern life? Well, the fact that this thing was creeping in the bushes and trees seemed to contradict that a little bit, but Noheme was ready to believe just about anything with herself coming to this land from a completely different world. She tried to remain as motionless as she possibly could when the creature came out of hiding in order to take away the white medical cloth and use it on herself. It probably wasn't that hard how a thing like that should be used, but no animal could actually do it. Was that the thing that separated man from animal? The thing that so many scholars spoke about? Who really knew. The moon goddess was just happy that she could help to this mysterious being in time if distress, even if that wound didn't exactly look all that bad and would have probably healed on it's own with time.

After a moment of observing the creature, however, it decided to approach the fox girl once more. That surprised her quite a bit, as she had thought that the ivory-white being would just run off after applying the bandage. But instead, it came to observe the girl's hand in a rather curious matter. And while it was at it, Noheme too would try to feel this life form's hand. It felt slightly different, but not all that much. This thing, whatever it really was, could be pretty easily compared to humans in at least few ways. And as it started becoming more friendly and seemingly happy, the goddess decided to be a little bit more daring, extending her other hand forward and trying to pat the creature on it's hair. She wondered if it would feel as silky as it looked. And while she was attempting to do so, even her mouth opened. "You're from a different world just like me, right? What a poor thing." It was the only explanation for it's unusual appearance, yet advanced thinking abilities.

Anyone looking at this situation from outside would be probably majorly confused as to what the two female-like beings were doing to one another. Even Noheme herself wasn't quite sure anymore, as the ivory white creature started placing her hands and tongue all over her. The touch of that smooth hair truly was something, even giving off a strange tingle as the scales could be somewhat felt. The fox girl's senses were greatly enhanced and that included touch at times too, allowing her to grasp much more information by touching things that one would imagine was even possible. Still, this creature really must have been from a completely different realm to this one with the structure of her body and even the behaviour that was completely alien to the moon goddess.

There was one slight mistake that happened, however. For as the unusual hands got to the girl's neck, she started backing away slightly. The matter of fact was that she was doing her very best to just resist the temptation of completely jumping back, or worse, attacking the poor creature in front of her. It was because the girl's neck was rather sensitive spot, one that she normally wouldn't let anyone touch under any circumstances. It was soft and vulnerable, easy to cut apart. And if the creature had any hidden ill intentions, she would probably be capable of breaking this mortal vessel just like that, with two simply hands on her neck.

Thankfully nothing like that happened and the hands moved to a different point soon enough, making Noheme rather relieved. Though this time, the hands covered the fox girl's eyes, which once more nearly sparked a defensive action. After all, most mortal creatures were accepting nearly all data from their environment from sight. And this girl was no different. However, something else happened that managed to efficiently cut off that train of thoughts. A kiss. And deep one as well, the creature's long tongue quickly managed to invade the goddess' mouth for a moment, tasting her own tongue.

It was over about as quickly as it started, leaving only confusion as the creature now stood up like a regular human being. And for the very first time, she spoke. Finally something that could be understood without any issues. Though Noheme was still rather confused from just happened. It was because this thing looked like a female, gender that the goddess was attracted to. And kissing like that certainly didn't help, as a deep blush was now adorning her cheeks. "Um... thank you? But I have no idea what you mean by tiny pieces, why would I throw anything at all towards you?"

It was pretty understandable that the creature didn't say a single word until now. Just from listening to her describe something that was apparently thrown at her made it abundantly clear that her understanding of Earthland's tongue was quite poor. But at least she was capable of basic communication, which was good. Would be rather difficult to understand one another otherwise. "I guess you mean stone. Huh, people in town must have thought you were a monster attacking the children or something..." While to her, Ada's figure didn't exactly appear threatening at all, it was entirely possible that regular humans would see her in a different light. Especially in a place like this where stories and fairy tales were quite common and told very often. With a pale visage like that, she could be probably easily mistaken for a noon wraith or something.

Even after the momentary peace, she was still quite active however. A hug like that was very unexpected and it made the two look like they were snuggling against one another. At least until the ivory white creature jumped into water in rather interesting style. It allowed Noheme to sight out and have a moment of respite, turning around and submerging herself fully again. "Not liquid crystal, water. It's called water." She tried to teach the being a new word, but was unsure in her ability to be a teacher. With another question, Ada asked for a title. Though her next words made it more clear that she wanted actual name and not just a title, for the moon goddess didn't really have one at the moment. So as she was touched again, she spoke out. "Just call me Eris. Eris Sytry."

Even if this being was from a different world, the goddess was still reluctant to give out her actual name. So instead she used the one that she always introduced herself with. It was probably fine for the time being. Though there was the question of where did this girl come from. It should probably be mentioned before they are in some sort of trouble where they have invasion from another world because she was a lost demonic princess or something. Gently grabbing Ada's hand, Noheme tried to stop her actions for a moment so that she would listen for sure. "Ada, where are you from? How did you get to this place?" And while she held her arm like that, she could take a look at that wound from closer distance, also seeing if she used the bandage correctly.

Yeah, she probably should have seen that coming miles away. If she had problems with regular language, then should would be completely incapable of saying a name that sounded so complex. It was only natural, so the moon goddess accepted it. "Just Eris is fine." And it really was, as no one called her by that made up surname anyway. She further watched as the alien moved some of her hair back, revealing further parts of her body that were something unusual for humans and even the goddess. The two red shapes almost looked like they could be sensors of some kind, but there was really no reason to be examining them now. Not to mention that they could be sensitive as well. Noheme knew that she herself had few extra parts that were far too sensitive to be touched, and she did not mean her neck in that instance.

But the situation quickly got much worse, as the pale girl answered the question that she was asked. Together with her, the fox girl would look up and frown slightly. As she listened to the description of her world, she quickly realized that it indeed wasn't Earthland. For some reason, it kinda sounded like Gardens of Eden, the world that her sister created. It had several likes and it's skies were always covered in the sheet of dark, with starts that once represented the spirits that lived inside of that world. Not to mention all the trees that were in that place. But given it's situation, it was probably a wrong place after all. The worst part about this situation however, was the fact that Ada actually started crying as she was reminded of her home. Unsure how to comfort her, Noheme would just try to do what was happening until now. A little bit of skin contact as she hugged the alien girl. "It's okay, there's no need to cry! We'll find a way back to your home... eventually..."

She didn't exactly sound convincing, but it was the best she had right now. One had to remain calm if one wanted to find a solution to their problem. In the end, the girl was a strong guildless mage. She was free to do anything, and right now, she could just go ahead and try to help this little one. Because why not? Helping others was almost a duty of gods, in a sense. And as this girl was one of them, she felt obliged to give out a helping hand when the option presented itself

Truly, just like any other human in distress. Apparently it mattered not where you were from, or what culture you were part of. In their core, most mortal creatures shared the exact same emotions and instincts. So when she was sad, she desired a contact of another. A warm body that she could press against, feel it's comfort. And who was Noheme to deny that? So she just tightly wrapped her arms against the pure white skin, almost feeling like she was hugging snow sculpture that was not cold at all. It last for quite a while, the sobbing eventually fading away, only the melodies of birdies that were around them remaining. Though it was far from over, as was clearly displayed soon. Making sure that her beautiful eyes and the feathers around them were dry, Ada would move into yet another embrace.

What did they look like to the world right now, the goddess wondered? Like a parent and child? Or perhaps like lovers? Well, it mattered none in the end. Not a soul was nearby to judge them for their actions, so they could enjoy themselves as much as they wanted. Though what Ada was doing on the fox girl's neck was quite ticklish, breaking the atmosphere just a little bit. Eventually, that would stop too, only for the sound of the alien's girl tongue to be replaced by her speech. One that surprised the moon goddess once again. She honestly wasn't expecting a question like that in the slightest. But then again, the voice was so fragile and shaky that she could not possible refuse her. "Well... I do have my Astral Realm where nothing would hurt you, ever. Maybe you could stay there for the time being, make it your home before we find a way to get you back to where you came from." She hoped it was at least semi-solid idea, but who knew.

Once again, the speech Ada had and the words she used were quite otherworldly, almost spiritual in their nature. Unfortunately, Astral Realm was not quite what she described. It was but a humble world that was formed by the goddess' power. And in the reality of things, it was even much simpler that Earthland it int's construct. Not that it matter too much, unless this alien girl was dependent on certain senses like animals. Noheme already met someone who was quite animalistic in their nature, and because of that, they had problems moving in that world, which lacked electrical fields, or something along those lines. Hopefully this one would not have a problem like that. "No higher thoughts are gained in my Realm. It's just another world that is like this one, or the one you come from. I live there along with few other spirits, but none of them will harm you."

She reassured the girl before she was asked another question. One that would have a positive answer. Only, the girl didn't know if she should answer with the truth or not. But in the end, she made her decision. And before speaking up, she would run her hand through Ada's hair again, feeling it's texture as well as the scales that were beneath. "I am an ancient one. But keep it a secret, do not tell anyone else even if they ask." Her tone was little bit more stern, but still gentle. She just didn't want her true identity to be leaked out so easily, that was all. Her body jerked a little when she felt the alien's legs lock her in place, but she didn't really mind. Though it was quite an interesting position.

At least Ada didn't look entirely human, because then this would become quite a problem. So far, Noheme was capable of controlling her desires, both romantic and sexual ones. But this? This was a good training for all that. "Well, alright then. I'll make sure to construct a new island for you, one that is surrounded by starts and has plenty of lakes and big trees. That should make you comfortable enough for the time being..." The goddess wasn't in her own world for a while. It was because one of the spirits that was dear to her died recently, but now she had a good enough reason to come back and start being a proper god again.

It definitely was not unpleasant, an embrace like this. It was warm and even made Noheme herself feel protected. Even when she was the one meant to protect others, did she maybe desire a protect of her own? A luxury that she never had and probably never even will have. But no matter about that. Thoughts like that was dangerous and often lead to making yourself vulnerable, something that the moon goddess could not afford right now. And when Ada shook her head to express her different desires, the fox girl could only chuckle in response. "I think I'll create it for you anyway, unless you want to be sleeping in this world and completely alone. Even I return to Astral World to rest, you know? It's a home, not place where you would be locked up for a long time."

Perhaps that was what the girl misunderstood. Thankfully it was not like that in the slightest. If she was lost in this world, then she needed a temporary home where should could recover her lost strength. And once that would be done, she was free to leave and get back to Earthland that she could explore freely and with the moon goddess at her side. Suddenly, the girl would get out of the embrace and get back onto the land, only to wet the entire area with her shaking and then perform a rather magical trick. So she was capable of using things like that, interesting. Apparently magic was indeed a concept known in many different worlds. "Glad to see that. You will need those wings if you want to keep up with me." Noheme was someone who greatly focused on speed after all. And even her sprint alone was probably much faster than movement of most cars that were invented to this day.

It was a beautiful sight to behold, watching this little alien girl show off her interesting ability. While unknown was usually seen as negative and associated with gross monsters in the darkness, this unknown was nothing short of beautiful. They were wings of freedom that would allow her move from this place to anywhere she wanted, a first step towards reaching home. Even if she missed it, the strange creature managed to get a new friend for herself, a powerful one at that. And Noheme had her protective senses kick in, making her wish to help this young one. So as she spoke, she smiled too. A kind expression that would bring warmth to others that would gaze at her.

And as her hand was held, she would indeed leave the water. Mimicking the alien girl, she too would shake around to get at least some of the water off her body before grabbing her clothes. While the idea of just leaving this place dressed in nothing but her birthday suit, it still wasn't quite socially acceptable. Ada had quite the advantage in that area, as her anatomy was clearly somewhat different from one of humans. Thanks to that, she didn't necessarily need to wear any clothes and she should be fine. Though if the two of them were to ever visit a city, they should probably get at least something to cover the girl and make sure others would not follow them with their gazes too much.

Extending her hand towards her new companion, she would smile once more, welcoming this one to the world of Earthland. "Let us go together. And while we're searching for the way back to your world, I am sure we'll teach you even more beautiful abilities, as well as make you enjoy your stay in this world!" And just like that, their adventure would begin. One that was surely filled with new experience that would allow both of the to blossom, evolve their thoughts and move forward as living beings in this sometimes unforgiving world.
