Maiden Snatcher[Aera/Zoey]

The sun was high in the sky when the two girls approached Magnolia. Zoey started to think back about when she lived here. That wasn't too long ago. She certainly didn't think she would return so soon. It was probably around noon as the city came into sight from the road in the distance. Zoey knew little about her traveling companion, they just decided to team up. Zoey because she prefers to work in group, especially after last time she tried to go solo on a job. Today's job was about a clients sister who was taken by a creature that resembled a monkey, sort of. It seemed to be able to speak, if limited, which indicated some advanced level of intelligence. If that was the case defeating the monster would be more difficult, but maybe could be reasoned with. Alas, they didn't know the full details of the job, just what the paper said.

"Um...Let's go find the client." Zoey said to her traveling companion once they actually were in front of the city gate. It should be on their contract itself. Zoey looked at the piece of paper she took from the guild hall. Their house should be on the eastern side of the city. The currently were south of the city since that was the direction from which Hargeon was. The paper said the monster and sister were in the eastern forest, but that forest was big and just looking for them willy-nilly was going to take a while. Too much for any client who's sister disappeared to wait.

I nodded to my partner as we reached the city gates, trying to subtly agree to their plan, though it wasn't much of one, honestly. It was, however, our only lead that could take us to our destination as quickly as possible. We headed over to the clients house, after we asked for simple directions from the local populace. When we arrived at his home, the man greeted us at the door, open eyed and hopeful. "My mom, sister, and girlfriend were all abducted." He began quietly, reminiscing quietly as the thought of these individuals stirred him. "This giant monkey thing came in the night, and snatched them out of their beds. I have no power to retrieve them, so if you could, please!" I nodded to him, and brought him in for a side hug, before signalling to my fellow guildmate, though I've yet to learn their name, to leave with me. I started towards the east gates, when the walls emanated with the sound of a large ape making a tribal sound. The noise itself wasn't very loud, however, it was close enough to hear, making me wonder where the creature itself was. I raced out over the gate, wings spread wide into the air, and I shot forth, moving after and hunting my prey. However, it wasn't long till I remembered my partner, so I shot back down to the earth, landing softly as I glided down from my flying paradise, fading my wings back into the tattoos that line my shoulders and upper back. As she arrived at the clients home, Zoey couldn't wonder how simple the house was. Since the kidnapping was obviously more than a while ago he already managed to find some time to clean up. Still remnants of fighting or aggressive behavior were still visible on the walls, ground or some furniture here and there. What confused Zoey more was that a monkey like creature would walk up in town and grab some women and leave. It probably was strong enough to beat in the door, but why would a vulcan risk coming into town were it could much easier be ganged up by the townsfolk if something went wrong?

Zoey's eyes became bigger when Aera started to hug the client. Why to informal with the client! But she quickly let up and signed to Zoey to come around. And thus followed the other girl back outside. The two started their way to the eastern gate. As Aera didn't say anything Zoey didn't either and as such it was a boring long walk.

Arriving at the gate Zoey could hear a monkey like scream. Without thinking much Zoey rushed straight ahead towards the origin of the sound. If that was the vulcan they were searching for maybe she could find out where it took the woman, or if it could talk maybe just ask it. She doubted it really, but if the rumors were right maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. As she turned around the gate she just saw something move in the forest, she ran after it to see what it was.
