    Job Stuff:

Takumi groaned as he took yet another flight of stairs in a couple big leaps. This was absolutely ridiculous, this many stairs ought to be made a crime. He had received a note telling him to climb to the top of Sky tower for a meeting, but the note was unsigned, and he didn't know who would ask him to meet atop Sky tower. The slayer sighed in a resigned matter, his exceed next to him looking rather amused that Takumi hadn't figured out he could ask her for a ride to the top yet. Her red eyes full of amusement, the exceed decided to help her master out and grabbed him by the collar, spreading her white wings and taking flight. Takumi hit his own forehead as his exceed flew to the top of the large tower. Of course! How could he have forgotten Coal could fly? He honestly felt a little stupid as he swung in his exceed's grip, the height making him a little dizzy. Being this high off the ground, even if Coal was carrying him, was not good. Takumi felt the sudden urge to vomit, but managed to keep from spewing as his exceed landed him safely at the top of the tower.

Now, he had only to wait for whoever he was supposed to be meeting, and anyone else who may have received this strange letter. Takumi gasped for breath as he went to his knees. Man, this was really high... He only hoped that he wouldn't have to go any higher than this. If he did he may just faint before anything could happen. He had never been good with heights, and he was getting motion sickness just from being up so high. His exceed rubbed his back with a bit of a smirk on her black-furred face. Of course her master would be down on his knees from the height alone. Come on, Takumi. you're a big bad slayer, and you can't even handle being atop a tower?" taunted the exceed, hoping her taunting would light a fire under Takumi's ass and get him to stand up. "You aren't that pathetic, now stand up before I take that scythe and smack you over the head with it." "Shut up, Coal," said Takumi as he stood and glared at his exceed.

Post by Mura Kensho 9th December 2016, 9:49 am

”There’s quite a long way to the meeting place…” the young shaman sighed while walking across several land forms; woods, rocky terrains and such. Despite the drawbacks of walking on foot through terrains like these, it was peaceful and just what Mura needed to ease his heart in times like these. Beside his shoulders were Kyuken’s spirit ball and Zirconis’ as well, simply talking to each other as Mura advanced. “So… I guess that I COULD battle a being like you in my past… it’s about skill,” the samurai spirit declared, “I’m not trying to ridicule your power or anything, but don’t underestimate me..!” “Oh, please! As if any human should ever surpass the strength of a dragon - and don’t get me started on those ‘Dragon Slayers’..!!!” Zirconis angrily threw back at the samurai ghost, while the breath of his made Kyuken’s hair bristle back. “Ehm… I can understand if you’re angry, but don’t take it that heavily. Thousands of people have surpassed me already, and I’m still considered a legend in Midi,” Kyuken assured the dragon, “It’s not like that your kin will be forgotten… well, definitely not yet… *giggle*” “WHAT’D YOU SAY, YOU IMBECILE!?!?” Zirconis almost threw up right at Kyuken’s face with that large, comical, enraged head of his. It was surely intimidating, but also very funny to watch. “Guys, I think that you should drop the topic,” Mura calmed them down by ending the discussion, “Besides… we’re here.”

When they looked up, there was a pretty tall tower in front of them; probably miles tall. Obviously, it wasn’t going to be an obstacle for the Onmyōji as he simply soared upwards, ascending to the skies and beyond. His long, dark hair wavered in the fresh air, and fog from the clouds sat on his clothes as drops of water. It wouldn’t take long until he reached a kind of platform, in which he concluded it to be the meeting place. “Takuuumiiiiiiii..!” Kyuken called, “We’re here! What’s the deal?!”

Meanwhile, something large was coming from the same direction as Mura. It was a mile behind, but probably waited for the right chance to show up, and now that it was ascending towards them from behind, they could expect encounters…

The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi) Empty Re: The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi)

Post by Takumi Yoshino 13th December 2016, 11:36 am

Takumi turned to see Mura, with Kyuken and Zirconis, his eyes widening. He was happy to see Mura again to be sure, but why was the younger boy here? Had he received a mysterious letter as well? Takumi was so surprised, he didn't even notice the figures in the distance that were rapidly approaching. The boy took one long look at his teammate and sighed. He missed the guild but he couldn't go back now. He was no longer a Fairy, and could no longer return to the guild that had taught him so much, and the people that had grown to be close to him like family. As he looked at Mura, he was relieved to see that the other boy seemed to be as much the same as when Takumi had left. Good. He didn't want to see any of his former guildmates hurt no matter what.

Takumi was about to ask why Mura was here when something grabbed him by the collar and hauled him into the sky. Another such being swooped down on Mura. He had no clue what was going on, so he screamed, probably looking like a complete fool and a coward as well. The creatures that had grabbed them appeared to be dragons of some kind, and they shot higher into the sky as Takumi continued to scream. He got motion sickness if Coal wasn't the one carrying him, he was going to puke...

But Takumi was spared that embarassment by the dragon that had grabbed himself and Coal landing. The small dragon immediatly dropped him and left, which caused Takumi some confusion. What the hell was going on? The boy didn't know, but he would soon find out, as a rather massive dragon, entered the room. Takumi stood up and glared at the rather enormous creature stopped before him, his sapphire eyes full of anger at this treatment. Why the actual hell was he even here? Why was Mura here? Why was there a huge dragon staring him down? All his questions would soon be answered, but for right now he couldn't help but glare up at this huge creature standing before him.

The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi) Empty Re: The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi)

Post by Mura Kensho 17th December 2016, 1:20 pm

Mura was about to lay a comment to today’s job, but a mysterious phenomenon disrupted the opening of his mouth as it ascended from behind. A huge beast made its appearance by grabbing onto Takumi, flying off into the skies with him on its talons. “!” All his instincts alerted him at the same time, “Takumi!!!” He decided to take off as well, trying to put a stop to the giant monster’s doings. He could see the dragon slayer’s facial expression alike the one of a person that was about to cover the sky dark green with his… inner stuff, in which the shaman put some distance in fear. “Oi… if he ends up puking,” Mura whispered in anxiety, “Takumi! Use your magic against it; it doesn’t have a-“ Before his words reached an end, the dragon landed back at the same place with Takumi, unharmed.

The shaman scratched his head while soaring down again, watching the dragon stand so quiet all of a sudden. Its huge eyes glanced down at the mages, before it lowered its head to their level. “… Ehm, what’s wrong?” Mura curiously asked, “And why did it give you such a roller coaster ride?” The dragon gave no answer, but perhaps it didn’t understand his language. Most mythic beings would’ve done, though, so Mura gave another thought about that. Meanwhile, Zirconis appeared on his view, which gave him an idea. “Hey, can you ask this guy about what the deal is..?” the shaman genuinely asked Zirconis. The dragon spirit nodded in understanding, before soaring towards the living dragon. Exclaiming grunts and a very unique language that was very new to Mura, the spirit returned and said: “Xiuhcoatl. Its name is Xiuhcoatl, and apparently, it’s requesting about Takumi…” The shaman threw a glance at the dragon slayer, having curious eyes of the reason. Was it because that he was a Dragon Slayer? Did this dragon feel intimidated or the least threatened? “It has a little test for our little Dragon Slayer here… 9, to be exact. However, it wants to speak with you for a moment,” Zirconis explained, having his eyes on Takumi as well…

The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi) Empty Re: The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi)

Post by Takumi Yoshino 6th January 2017, 12:31 pm

Takumi continued to glare at the dragon in absolute anger. This asshole of a creature had taken him for a joyride because he had a challenge for Takumi? Well Takumi wasn't sure he would participate in this damnable challenge. The slayer crossed his arms, dangerously close to snapping and roaring at the large dragon. "Mura. Hold me back, otherwise I might snap and kill this thing" Commanded the young man, intense waves of hate rolling off him, so powerful they were almost visible. Takumi glared at the dragon with a hatred he had never shown, but was always simmering just beneath the surface. He hadn't completely gotten rid of it when he had gone legal.

His exceed looked nervous at Takumi's intense glare, slowly backing away. It was never good when he got like this. "Mura, back away slowly. Takumi's about to explode, and you do not want to be in the way when he does." Coal shot a look at Mura, warning him that he really did not want to be in the way. If even Coal was nervous, This couldn't be good. Coal was always calm, and if something made her nervous it was definitely something to be wary of.

Takumi's eyes were practically glowing with rage as he got right in the dragon's face. "You took me on a little joyride because you wanted to give me a challenge?! How dare you? Who do you think you are, dumbass dragon?!" Roared Takumi. His black hair falling in front of his face, he stared directly into the eyes of this massive beast. He wasn't going to back down, not this time. This dragon needed to be taught a lesson.

The dragon made a noise akin to a laugh, clearly not worried that Takumi was threatening him. "I am a dragon, I can do as I please. You do not have a right to question my word" it said, shooting a look of its own at Takumi. It was daring the slayer to challenge him. Takumi snorted in the dragon's face. "Please. I am a dragon slayer. You are a dragon. I do not take orders from you."

Post by Mura Kensho 15th January 2017, 10:12 am

A little sigh along with a soft slap on the back of Takumi’s head, totally forgetting Coal’s warning, was Mura’s reply to his sudden outrage. The lightning dragon slayer’s aura was extremely apparent, even for the dragon. “Calm down for a second. I don’t think that this guy means harm,” he assured the smaller dragon, while switching his gaze to the big one. Yes, Takumi had a short fuse, but Mura knew very well of his capabilities after two-three battles with him. However, they stood in front of A DRAGON. The legendary, mystic beasts from east and west, who knew what they could think about. “Remember… ehm, Takumi?” The Lightning Dragon Slayer kept intimidating the lizard, even in vain.

He began walking between Takumi and the dragon, lifting up a hand and waving in excuse. “Excuse my friend, he’s just a little surprised to see a literal, living dragon these days…” Mura spoke up to the dragon, “Besides… hey, what specific test do you mean?” The green dragon spirit soared up and exclaimed: “Yes, bringing people to an isolated place before eating them is my custom!” Sweat drops on both Mura’s and Kyuken’s heads trickled down as they both watched the green dragon appear quite jealous of the still alive dragon. Seriously, what was the objective of taking them up to this… floating island-like thing-place-stuff? “Zirconis, what exactly is this challenge about?” the shaman asked the green dragon head, who looked up at the giant lizard. “…” A sweat trickled down Zirconis now, to big shock for Mura and Kyuken as something red appeared below them. “Eh..?!” they both spoke up as the giant dragon laughed with its dragon language: “Have a nice fall.”

“… Why am I here? I thought that the dragon would test you, not me,” the shaman complained as he looked up. No hole, nor was there any signs of outer light coming in. What kind of place was this… and the floor was filled with holes. “Takumi,” the shaman spoke softly, “This is your test, so… I guess that I’ll just… you know…” Suddenly, you could see Mura appearing at the corner of the room, soaring and spectating the Lightning Dragon Slayer with a troll face as things were about to spice up…

The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi) Empty Re: The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi)

Post by Takumi Yoshino 16th January 2017, 1:20 pm

Mura had attempted to calm Takumi down, but he clearly wasn't listening as he got in the dragon's face. But then, a small conversation went on, and a portal of red opened beneath their feet.

Takumi landed flat on his ass with a groan. Where was he? he looked around the room, the floor and walls seeming to be full of holes. A slight hissing noise could be heard, before flames erupted from the hole directly in front of Takumi! Startled, the young man jumped back, glaring at Mura all the while. "Hey! you were brought here for a reason Mura, so shouldn't you be helping me?!" he yelled over the noise of fire periodically erupting from each of the holes.

Sighing as he realized Mura wasn't like to help, Takumi began to creep forwards, doing his best to avoid the holes altogether. Right before each erupted fire, a telltale hiss could be heard, much to Takumi's amusement. This dragon was testing him? Fine. See if this lizard could beat Takumi's sense of hearing, specially enhanced due to his slayer magic. As he slowly advanced, he would pause before moving forwards, listening for the telltale hiss of the flames in order to avoid being torched. He was not going to let some stinking dragon, not even a great elemental dragon, beat him.

As Takumi started getting closer to the end of the room, the fire started erupting more often. One spout erupted right in front of his face, nearly singeing his eyebrows right off. Cursing, Takumi would continue to move as his exceed, Mura, and Mura's spirits would watch from the side. He would so pay Mura back for this... Mura was going to get a nice electric shock when this was all over with. A spout of fire erupted directly behind Takumi as the one in front also fired, trapping him. Now how the hell was he going to get out of this? The ones to the sides were about to erupt, he couldn't risk jumping over those... or could he? Taking a chance, Takumi lept over the hole to his right, just as the one where he had been standing fired.

The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi) Empty Re: The Dragon's Challenge(Job, Mura and Takumi)

Post by Mura Kensho 22nd January 2017, 11:35 am

He was at the verge of bursting into laughter. That facial expression was priceless on Takumi, in which Mura completely pushed aside the danger of this test. Although, Takumi’s expression also appeared confused and shocked, in which Mura began to feel guilty for letting him go through the test on his own. However, his moves were fast enough to avoid the exhaling flames from whatever source that was breathing them through the holes. His face began to sweat by the heat compared with worry, and Takumi’s expression grew even more eager to avenge his absence. Perhaps I should help him…, he thought in worry, while soaring down to a lower level. Then, his hand pointed towards the point where a hole was about to emit flames up to Takumi as he just barely avoided a ring of fire. “Keep going, Takumi!” the shaman roared as the uprising fire suddenly turned into a puddle that splashed up on Takumi’s legs, “I’ll take care of the fires!”

Another fire began to surround Takumi as 6 holes emitted the blazes form below. Quickly, a shower of rain surrounded the Lightning Dragon Slayer as Mura covered that as well. The heat inside this room turned the drops of water into a fog, making it even more difficult to see around. “Oh, please, why…” the shaman spoke up, until his eyes glowed upon the red figure that stood in the middle of the room, “Takumi! Hear me; you have to make it to the ruby thing in the middle!” Both arms were lifted up, while an inhaling sound would trigger the next eruption, “I’ll turn all the fire into water! Now!” Suddenly, an auric atmosphere surrounded the floor, covering every hole that was about to turn up into fire with an essence that would affect the blazes themselves. It would be harsh, but a large burst of geysers would hit Mura and Takumi if not fast enough; obviously, the shaman was covered up in soak and sea. “Pfy! Hey, Kyuken,” he spoke up to his spirit buddy, “Can you help Takumi find way to the ruby..?!” The spirit nodded quickly and appeared in front of Takumi, nodding towards the position: “This way, fellow!”
