- What happend before:
The chronicle of the God-King Gangting and the Kingdom of Duoshang.
Gangting was born a human under the name Qiang. He lived in the mountain village of the Yazhu tribe where he was a renown warrior-mage. He was a capable warrior at a young age and had mastered the art of Earth Moulding Magic. The Yazhu tribe was small and had always been the weakest in the area. Qiang shifted the balance with his Magical power, he was able to create Terracotta Warriors with his Magic. He defeated many tribes with his power and used his spoils of war to tie warriors to him. This made him a nobleman and gave him political power. But none of his powers was able to save his village against a Demons attack. Half the village was massacred and Qiang swore revenge. He swore that he would find a way to kill Demon’s and protect his village against further Demon attacks.
Qiang travelled for years. He learned martial arts from different area’s and learned of the existence of living Gods. Humans that learned the power of a god. Thus, Qiang decided to travel to a temple of the Lord of Soil and Ground, Tudigong. This temple was located on a mountain in the middle of a great dessert. Qiang Travelled with a group of desert nomads called the Sha-She. These nomads used Sand Magic and rode giant rock scorpions. Qiang learned the Sha-She arts of Sand Magic and was given a giant rock scorpion. Qiang married the daughter of the tribal leader, Chu was Qiang’s first wife. Qiang arrived at the temple after a month of travelling in the desert. He prayed for two days straight in the temple to the god Tudigong. He then slept and had a vision of Tudigong. Tudigong ordered Qiang to travel alone into the Dessert towards the north. Thus, Qiang left the monastery, he walked for weeks until he collapsed.
Qiang woke up in a cave chamber but he realised it was a mountain palace when he walked outside the chamber. He walked towards a big door and behind that door was a gigantic space. It was the seat of Tudigong himself. Tudigong offered Qiang his training and thus, Qiang stayed at Tudigong’s palace for months. Qiang was sent back to the desert to find his way to the monastery when he was done with his training. He had been given a scroll that he had to read in the temple and then he would receive the powers to defeat Demons. Qiang’s way back was a bigger challenge, sandstorms, monsters and raiders were a constant threat to him. But Qiang managed to reach the temple where he read the scroll. Qiang received Demon slayer power and henceforth his name was to be Gangting, strong court. Tudigong had given him the task to unite the mountain tribes into one solid nation.
Gangting is about to leave the monastery on his way to his village of the Yazhu tribe but that path will lead him through an enormous desert with many dangers. Desert raiders are a constant threat for they lay down ambushes, the animals in the desert aren’t always nice either. Gangtig has to travel into this desert to get to the edge of the desert to continue is the way to his village.
