Bottoms Up! [open to all IH members/ intro thread)

Flipping through the pages of another book, Ardere let out a sigh. They were running low on reading material as of late, or perhaps he was in possession of too much free time. While some serious international events had occurred, the fire mage would consider now a low tide in terms of the waves of evil and destruction. This of course was a good thing, but as a samurai and a warrior, he had a craving for battle at times. Not only this, but he felt antsy when dark guilds started to lay low, it meant they were planning something. Closing the book, he poured himself a cup of warm sake. Taking a sip of the clear liquid, the guild master closed his eyes and relaxed. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts. Dangling his legs off of the railings, he found himself perched above the guild's Tavern. It was his favorite spot to perch and contemplate things, as he had a great view of the guild hall. While he did utilize his slayer senses often, it was nice to have a good line of sight sometimes.

Finishing up the cup of sake, he noticed the entry of a young man. Opening one eye, he looked at the blonde mage. It was strange, he appeared to be a preteen, but his scent was that of a man's. Perhaps he was just very short? Though that would be quite offensive to make note of. Fortunately, being delicate in situations such as this was Ardere's specialty, he liked to consider himself a considerate and understanding man. If a new guild member had arrived, it was his duty to make them feel at home. It appeared Chris had gotten to the young man before him, but that was not a bad thing. Opening his other eye, he slid down the railings for a few seconds before leaping onto the hard wooden floors. His white coat flickered, and his deep brown hair shifted as he landed. Leaning against one of the wooden posts that held the next level up, a smile crossed the Fire King's lips. Well hello there, welcome.
