Name: Kijin Sakuretsu
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Birthday: 6th June
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics:
Kijin is no longer a human nor is he a monster. He is being somewhere in between as a result of a failed magical experiment conducted by a secret research facility, run by the Magic Council. Now he is the very embodiment of a certain magic. From any point on his body he can protrude any blade he wishes…but there are days where this power is not fully under his control.
Personality:
Kijin Sakuretsu…a man of many mysteries, enshrouded by a dark veil called his past and engulfed by a power named hate. He sees himself as not a human nor does he see himself as an abomination: he sees himself as a sacrifice for the future. What had been done to him left his heart in shards and his mind in dismay. Part of him feels lucky that he could not remember his days before the facility…but another part of him longed for that time back…the memories that were made and the joy he believed to have known. All Kijin was left with was no more than his name and power…and the horrid deeds he committed. His only wish is to stop this cruelty towards humanity; he wishes to save the future generation that may come to harm at the hands of the same people who tormented him day after day after day; HE would sacrifice his life for the future.
At a certain point in time Kijin may have been a bundle of joy; a happy, kind, friendly and generous person who laughed, smiled, cried…but all that is now over. He may still possess these emotions, but he chooses to oppress them until he has completed his deeds and his ability to void his heart and mind of all feeling was a great asset in his quest. It allows him to kill mercilessly and to torment without any sign of regret. The one emotions he did allow presence was anger and hate; that which drove him on, that which fueled the existence he so despised. His ultimate goal to decimate the council is so close and yet so far. The gap created by the gigantic power deficit between him and them.
Bitter and silent he walks the roads at night. He sees no place that he could belong to; not dark guild because he was not evil and not legal guilds either as his duty compels him to act against their morals. His vow of revenge and his emotional coldness gives his presence a tremendously threatening atmosphere…one so threatening, so bloodthirsty that even those more powerful are captured in the fangs of fear and tremble at his sight. Every word he says sounds like a blade tearing through ones heart, his eyes feel like they would pierce your soul in a single glance and his body is as cold as the steel of a blade.
Kijin tries to avoid contact with others but the sad truth is that no man truly wishes to be isolated. He may not try to make contact nor will he ever ask for help, partly because of honor and partly to keep others safe. Yet if you try to get close to him he will allow it seemingly unwillingly but in reality he welcomes the company with open arms and desperation. If there is one way to get his attention it would be honesty. It is a trait he truly knows the worth of after having seen what man’s true cruel nature was…and it is also a trait he may not possess for his destiny allows it not.
One truly good aspect about him is his respect for others. He treats everyone with the amount of respect they deserve, always polite and somewhat kind despite his malicious aura. It is also this aspect that make him a well-respected person as well and that inspires certain people to follow him or ally themselves. And if you do decide to join forces with this monster of a man, his loyalty is as good as guaranteed.
However, the most fearsome side of him is not in every-day life but in battle. The already dangerous atmosphere he creates is filled with even more bloodlust as he purges all emotion. His attacks are more ferocious than a rabid beasts, the risks he undergoes no sane man would mimic and the intent to kill the main thing that drives him. Even sparing matches are lethal to others as he may void himself through the course of battle, leaving even allies in danger of death. Fighting alongside him may not be dangerous but the amount of consideration for collateral of any kind is horrifying and almost sickening; when in battle collateral damage is a term unknown to Kijin and even afterwards he suppresses the emotion of guilt, justifying his actions with his righteous intent. Large populations of great cities have, at times, even been cut in half by his style of combat. Kijin is an uncontrollable force of destruction with one goal and he bows to no one…
Likes:
1. Honesty:
A trait he truly values in a person. The horrific scenes of human behavior have taught him much about true human nature and how rare true honesty and loyalty is. He has bared witness to husbands abandoning their families, he has seen the youth of today tormenting the old and disabled, he has seen how greedy for money and power people are and what terrible lengths they would go through.
2. Blades:
Blades are now a part of him, part of his very being and existence. What was done to him is something he despises but if there is one good thing he sees in it are the weapons he has been given; the tools he needs to execute his plans. As a result he cares for any form of blade a lot and tends to them; seeing one neglected triggers an unexplained pain and disgust for the owner.
3. Night:
Kijin finds the night to be the best time of day. The majesty of the moon and the beauty of the stars, the music of the crickets and the gentle song of the wind – they all calm him to a certain point and clear his mind for whatever purpose. It is also the perfect time to strike down his foes by surprise…
Dislikes:
1. Magic Council:
The people who changed his life completely, the people who tormented him and others like him, the people who have done the unforgivable…a hate unparalleled by anyone rests within Sorakai.
2. Rune Knights:
The mindless slaves of the council, the enforcers of injustice…their close connection to the magic council is what drives his hate towards them.
3. Vile people:
A hypocritical aspect on his side. He hates those who torment for fun and kill without reason for he knows the pain and sorrow….yet he himself does these deeds at time…
4. His existence:
He may have come to terms with it, but just because he has doesn’t mean that he has to appreciate it. Yes there are certain beneficial aspects of his being but what it has turned him into, the monster it has forced him to become…it disgusts him.
Motivations:
1. Destroying the Magic Council:
His wish is to end the endless process of torment in form of human experiments. And to effectively do so the only way he sees is to destroy the very power that backs the facilities. Each day his spite against them grows stronger and stronger…is it possible that he will turn to evil for his goals?
2. Regaining his memories:
Even the memories of captivity are hazy at best. He longs to know who he once was, how he was like, if he had a family or not. But to do so he must journey through this desolate world of his and hope for fate to take its course. He does not long for his human body back. It is true that he is disgusted by his being, but he also partly appreciates it and indulges in its power.
3. A life:
Once he settles his duties Kijin wishes to lay rest to his sins and to start a normal life. A life not as a mage but as a normal person. A life that he can come to enjoy, one where he can have a family and friends without worrying about the dangers of this world.
4. becoming stronger:
Strength is what he currently lacks to fight against the members of the Magic Council. So he trains rigorously each day to become better, taking on the most challenging quests at the same time so he can help those in need and improve his skills.
Fears:
1. Reversion:
He fears reversion back to his human state before he completes his quest. Without his current power he would be nothing against the Council and he would never be able to avenge both his past and the lives of others.
2. His Past:
Whilst he strives for regaining his memories Kijin trembles at their mere thought as well. What if he didn’t like who he was? What if he was part of the very organization he so hated? What if HE was the one who started it all? These thoughts torment him on many nights and he can only toss and turn in his unpleasant slumber…
3. Lightning:
Whilst being mostly free of common fears there is one thing that would always force him to run for his life: lightning and thunder storms. His body is like a super conductive lightning rod, attracting even the slightest spark of electricity if he doesn’t control his power right. In the early days of his power he was repeatedly struck by lightning, etching a fundamental fear of lightning into his heart, soul and mind.
General Appearance
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 185 lbs.
Hair: Black
Eyes: Bright Red
Skin Tone: tanned
Appearance:
Not just his height and evil-looking red eyes make him an intimidating person, but also his very muscular and broad-shouldered build. Combined with his aura of blood thirst and hate he strikes both awe and fear into all those he encounters. To protect his identity he wraps his whole body in bandages leaving only his right eye free. The only other clothing he wears are a pair of tattered trousers and worn-out shoes. Because of his condition he sees no point in dressing up in any way but to cover what is demanded by society.
