Personality: Chris has a laidback personality. Not really apathetic or lazy, but he just doesn’t seem to care. Sometimes. He’s like water off a duck’s back. Things that happen, good or bad, generally doesn’t affect him too much. He doesn’t lament over death, nor become excitable over fortune. He does appear sad and happy at these things, but the expressions could be on a mannequin for all the emotion behind them. He’s not cold hearted, he just realized a long time ago that things happen and you should get over it.
That doesn’t mean he’s distant either. He makes friends relatively easily, and trusts people until they prove otherwise. And broken trust is hard to mend, even with his relaxed personality. Those who do have his trust are ones he considers close friends. To them his expressions have true emotion behind them, and it’s plain he has trust in them. He doesn’t show more expressions of happiness or sadness, but to friends it’s genuine.
Women he has a slight hard time with. Not really a fear, but an uneasy feeling when close to one. Those he’s familiar with and treats as friends he’s ok with. But others that he just met tend to make him very nervous. He tends to sweat slightly, and an obvious stutter is heard as he speaks. It takes a bit before he warms up to a stranger, but once he does he becomes more at ease.
Even in combat he has a relaxed attitude, though he isn’t one to hold back in a fight. Instead he keeps his emotions in check as he ‘plays’ his opponent(s). Meaning he fights, but he holds back enough to analyze how his opponent reacts, and then changes his strategy accordingly.
Depending on the situation he usually activates his Earthen Armor as protection at the beginning of the fight. This gives him time to gauge his opponent while fighting with his Blades of Flames. He doesn’t go on the offensive, or at least not all out, but fights in a way to feel out the rhythm of his opponent. Once he feels the rhythm he makes a single attack at the right time to disrupt the pattern. That’s when he strikes. If he has a ranged weapon he may choose to use that instead, as it gives him distance to analyze his opponent.
In combat he tends to be a lone wolf, even when leading others. However he knows how to take orders, as long as those orders don't put himself or others in harms way. He will often go out of his way to protect those with him if it's obvious they need help. But most of the time he will just fight on his own unless ordered otherwise.
If leading he uses his people to the best of his ability. For every melee mage he pairs a ranged or support mage to help. And any that need one or the other he himself takes part in the fight. He won’t ask anyone to do what he himself won’t do, and he will fill any gap in what his team needs. This tends to spread himself thin if he has to fulfill multiple roles.

[*]Food- Chris likes most foods. Among meat he enjoys a good steak, and prefers yams over potatoes. He also likes oranges over any other fruit. There’s only a few that he doesn’t like.
[*]Cats- Chris likes all animals, but he especially likes cats most of all. Their human like personality and occasional loving attitude always puts a smile on his face.
[*]Training/Fighting- Chris likes honing his skills with the various items he can summon. He knows that if he doesn’t know or realize which items work together then he can end up in trouble. So he trains constantly to make sure he’s always prepared.
Dislikes:
[*]Conflict- Not necessarily fighting, as he grew up knowing combat, but arguing or shouting between two parties. He doesn’t like conflict, and sometimes puts himself between the two parties as a mediator. Sometimes it ends up them shouting at him, and he scurries away.
[*]Fish and Potatoes- Two of the only food that he does not like. He likes shellfish just fine, but regular fish he tries to avoid. And he likes mashed potatoes with lots of butter, but baked and the like he tends to avoid. He’ll eat them if he must, but he doesn’t care for them.
[*]Bullies- This extends to just normal bullies. It includes those who beat their significant others, those who exploit their power over other people, and those who treat others as garbage. He can’t stand people who use their power to harm or force others.
Motivations:
[*]Adventure- Even as a kid Kyrin wanted to see the world. Not really travel to far off exotic lands, but to see beyond his home town. It’s one of the reasons he worked hard on his magic, so he’d have the strength to go out on his own.
[*]Strength- Kyrin wants strength to help those who need him. He knows that he can’t protect everyone, but he wants to be stronger so he can reduce the number he can’t help.
[*]Growth- He just wants to be better. He knows his fear of women can paralyze him, and he wants to break free of that restraint. He also wants to be a better person in general, and is not satisfied if he fails anything.
Fears:
[*]Kakorrhaphiophobia- Fear of failure or defeat- Kyrin has always been afraid of failing at something. Mainly it’s his ability at crafting ARMs. If he makes an ARM incorrectly then the result could be deadly.
[*]Claustrophobia- Fear of enclosed spaces. This is just a generic fear he has. He hates being trapped, especially if it’s his head.
[*]Achluophobia- Fear of darkness. This goes along with his fear of enclosed spaces. He’s ok with sleeping in near dark locations, but walking through or trying to sleep in absolute darkness completely unnerves him.
