Please teach our son to swim and we will provide what little money that we have towards paying for those lessons.

Normally, around this time of year, Magnolia's beaches are completely barren due to gray skies, with chances of rain and usually being quite chilly. But recently, it seems as though Magnolia's behaviour is almost as spontaneous as the Fairy Tail guild that once inhabited the town. Even if the guild isn't in the town anymore, it seems the weather patterns have taken the spontaneous nature of them. Today, the sun is beating down on the pavement and the beaches and pools of Magnolia are full. People are out swimming, playing volleyball on the beach, or simply sleeping by the pool, hoping to get a nice tan while this out of the ordinary day takes place. The vendors are taking advantage of the weather, selling ice cream and cold beverages and townspeople have been lining up for a long time to get them so their plans are working.
Hikari, who has been waiting in line for about fifteen minutes is tapping her foot on the ground, with the sandal making a clapping sound as it hits the burning hot pavement. Hikari wipes some sweet off her forehead and looks at the line. I feel like, if I wait in this line any longer, it will be when the weather changes to be cold once again. Hikari glances once more as the line slowly moves forward, less people between Hikari and her cold ice cream that she had to wait in line unnecessarily long for. Before she realizes it, she is at the front of the line and eagerness is written all over her face. What flavour of ice cream would you like miss? Hikari's eyes, shining with anticipation, glance at all the flavours before deciding. Chocolate chip cookie dough please! With that, the shopkeep scooped two scoops of cookie dough ice cream into a cup and handed it to Hikari, with a tiny spoon in the cup. Hikari's eyes sparkled as she took her first bite into the ice cream with a little bit of cookie dough on it. She smiled as she looked up to the sky. With that, this whole day is just about worth it, even if I haven't even started the job yet. With that, Hikari walks through the streets, full of life and energy from the weather today.
After finishing her ice cream, Hikari ends up at the beachside house of the client. Already, she is in shock at this house. This house... is near the size of the old Fairy Tail guild. So are all the other houses! Hikari looks at her job poster that she has, double checking that she has the correct address. She walks up to the enormous door and knocks. There is a brief delay before the door is opened by what Hikari assumes is one of the servants of the household. Um, excuse me for my intrusion, but I'm here for the job that the owners of this household requested. The maid eyes her down before smiling gently. Hikari hands her the poster and the maid looks it over quickly. Ah yes! We were expecting sometime today. Thank goodness you got here today. The weather is going to be seasonal tomorrow... Both Hikari and the maid shudder as they think about the weather become cold once again. Hikari smiles at the maid and asks, What's your name? My name is Hikari. The maid looks at her in shock, as if in disbelief, You want to know my name? T-that's quite odd of you... Hikari looked at the maid and smiled gently, Even if you are serving another family, you still are your own person. Remember that. The maid looks surprised for a moment, but then returns her own gentle smile. My name is Flora. Thank you for asking ma'am. This way, Young Master Alain is out in the back.
Flora and Hikari are walking through this giant mansion, heading to the backyard of the house. Hikari sees about two other children playing in the house, enjoying their time inside as opposed to the beautiful day outside. Flora takes note of where Hikari's looking and says, Those two are scared of people. They only tend to go outside when their parents are home and as of late, their parents come home quite often so them being inside is nice so that the house isn't quiet. Flora looks at the boy and girl and smiles as they continue their games. After a long walk, they reach the backyard and the doors, just like the entrance of the house, put Hikari in awe. Flora opened the door, but because the sun was shining so brightly and they were inside the house, Hikari's eyes needed to readjust to the light so she squinted. When her eyes had readjusted, she looked at the backyard and was awestruck once again. The backyard was essentially a mini rain forest, with a pool in the dead center of it all. Hikari looks around at the four trees, showing the borders of the backyard. I understand the aesthetic that they were going for... Hikari deadpanned at the very large pool in the centre, Is a pool this big really necessary if there is a community pool about five minutes away. Hikari then noticed the blonde spiky haired male near the pool, just sitting on the edge with his feet in the water. Hikari looks at the boy and thinks, Is this the kid that doesn't know how to swim? He's borderline my age. Hikari stifles a laugh and the boy looks over at her, stress written all over his face.
The boy, who is now confirmed to be the "Young Master Alain" as Flora stated earlier, glances at Hikari and her body, which is in just a white coverup as her bikini is underneath. Alain scratches his cheek as he blushes, Are you seriously gonna teach my how to swim in that? That's a little unprofessional. Hikari looks at his plain black swimming trunks and thinks, Can't tease him on that so I guess I'll go with the obvious. Hikari covers her mouth, feigning innocence, I may be unprofessional but it's kind of sad when you are about twenty years old and you've barely set foot in the water. And you live near a beach to make matters worse. Hikari sharply inhales, to make a sound, coupled with a disapproving glance. Alain, is at this point defeated entirely and is on his hands and knees, facing the ground. Hikari smirks as Flora backs up into the house, wanting to escape the situation. Hikari walks up to Alain and squats so that their eyes meet when he decides to look up again. Because I'm teaching you, I don't expect any sass. You'll be the one drowning. Got it? Hikari smiles, as if it is a joke, but as her eyes narrow, Alain gulps. That ain't a joke. Alain nods his head quickly before Hikari gets up and begins to walk over to the pool, while he stays in his spot. Hikari turns around and looks at him, Are you coming or not? Alain gets up and jogs to catch up to Hikari, scared of what could happen if he doesn't.
When Hikari takes off her slippers and coverup, Alain blushes and thinks to himself, She is probably gonna use this to her advantage to get a private pool and take a break from the sun. Hikari lowers herself into the pool and begins treading while Alain looks at her, with disbelief. Hikari glances up at him and says, If you make your face look like that, it'll get stuck that way. Alain is flustered but then collects himself, Why didn't you cannonball? I thought you were gonna teach me how to swim. Hikari looks at Alain, as if he is an insect, a look full of disgust. Why would I teach you how to dive, when you can't swim or even tread water to stay afloat. It's like you want to drown before you can even start. Hikari just looks at Alain, as he slowly climbs into the water, similar to how Hikari did. She backs up to give him room, as he tightly grips the edge of the water. Okay, so basically, for treading in water, just kick your legs back and forth to stay afloat. Hikari points to her legs, which are doing the aforementioned motion. Alain slowly gets off the wall, and trys to kick his legs back and forth, but there is too many pauses between kicks so he starts to sink. Before he can begin to panic, Hikari grabs underneath his arms and holds him up, continually treading. Alain blushes as Hikari pressed against his back. Put your legs near mine and mimic what I am doing. Alain begins to focus and tries to mimic the leg movements and within about a minute, Hikari moves away from him, letting him go and he manages to stay afloat. Alain gets excited, Woo! Already a pro at this! Hikari deadpans at him, choosing not to say anything this time.
The day got more intense as Hikari taught Alain actual strokes but nothing really happened. Alain slowly got the hang of it and Hikari was really impressed at the progress he made. Okay! You got the hang of breaststroke and backstroke. As well as breaststroke while keeping your head above the water in case of emergencies. I think you learned enough that you should be fine now! Hikari smiles at him and Alain smiles back. Flora opens the giant backyard door, to reveal, Alain's parents and brother and sister, all in swimming gear, ready to go swimming. Hikari pushes Alain towards his family and smiles. Alain then says, Thank you so much Hikari! The happy family then proceeds to go to the beach, leaving Hikari and Flora. As Hikari is drying herself off, Flora mentions, It's been a while since I've seen Young Master Alain smile like that. Thank you so much, Miss Hikari. Hikari smiles at Flora as she looks at the late afternoon sun, still surprisingly high in the sky. Well, this day just loves to be full of surprises, doesn't it... Hikari puts her coverup back on and leaves the house. She glances towards the beach and watches Alain and his family happily at the beach, with Alain and his father on a small fishing run, while his mother, brother and sister enjoy the ocean water. I'm glad that I was able to bring them closer together. Hikari smiles as she leaves the beach area to head to the inn she was staying at for the night.
