    Job:

"Yo, Aiyana! Check out this new area we can explore, there turns out to be some Minotaurs in a weird labyrinth, and I figured since you were interested in new sights and places to explore. The job I was hired to take offers a plentiful amount of jewels as well if the sightseeing was not enticing enough for you.Tell me what you think of such a job, and I'll send you a copy of the job I have received. While I'm at it, I know someone who might be interested in such a task as well, these beasts are Minotaurs after all. He won't slow us down, I have seen him in combat before. And the reward is so huge that his share of the piece won't even dent out share as well. Tell me what you think!

    -Elyx Reiaki"

"Hey Ard! It's been a while, eh? I recently got a Bounty Hunting job that I think you might like. A friend of mine could accompany us, since I have known her to like new artifacts and areas. The jewel reward is something major, and though I know you specifically target the dark guilds, I figure these beasts are just as bad. If you are interesting in taking a job such as this, I can mail you a copy of the request. Let me know what you think of such a job, and the three of us can make a meeting point."

The three of them planned to meet up in the Cursed Lands, seeing as that is where the Labyrinth was located anyways. Ignite would be at home, learning more about rifles. At this point, seeing all of the dedication that the She-Phoenix was willing to put into it, it was probably time to get her a good sniping rifle. One with a muffle. And maybe one that fires only marshmallows. Knowing Ignite however, she'd still find a way to make it fatal, thus, he would not yet buy one for her. He'd be at the Cursed town, where it was normally nighttime. He was sitting by a fountain, playing his Violin. The atmosphere was so tense, and so he would try to play a happier song for the people who were somehow able to make a living in such a place. It was another custom piece he had made, it was named "Gentle Nights", a perfect name and not at all ironic. Plus, this might get Ard to notice where Elyx was, since Ard knew about his Lerale magic. However, Elyx was a Sky God Slayer now, so much has changed.

So you can throw me to the wolves
    Tomorrow I will come back

Every scar will build my throne

Re-reading the letter he received from Elyx prior to the current excursion he was on, Ardere tucked the paper in between the plates of his red and gold Samurai armor. Standing along the cold cobble path in the Cursed Town, the fire mage scanned the area with his glowing orange eyes. Shuffling his feet across the ground, dirt dispersed with each step. The cold, dead world around him was almost unsettling. They did not call this place the Cursed Lands for nothing. His long flowing cloak shifting with each movement, he traversed the small town on the way to meet his old friend. The two had not been on a mission with one another in some time, but they had come to be good friends, with a trust in the other's capabilities as a mage and mission partner. He had no idea who the other companion joining them on this mission would be, but trusting the Black Rose mage's judgment, he was sure they would be of use.

Sighing, he could almost see his breath in the cold, lifeless air. I'll never get used to the feel I get when I come here. If the brown haired man had not been literally composed of fire, perhaps he would feel a chill descend down his spine. Fortunately, all fear had been cast aside before joining this adventure. Ardere slid pale fingers through his thick brown lock, adjusting the red headband around his cranium. The town seemed to be almost abandoned, with very few people walking about, quite eerie if he did say so. Making his way across the ominous town to a fountain, the guild master spotted a young man playing his violin. He recognized the sound from far off, but he preferred to see for himself. Fortunately, it was Elyx, his frequent mission partner. Long time no see, friend. What have you gotten me into this time? Moving closer to the fountain, the beautiful sounds of the violin flowed through his ear drums. He had chosen quite the unique spot to meet up, but the third member of this party was nowhere to be found. Having arrived a bit early, he would allow them the benefit of the doubt for this, and looked forward to meeting them. With three powerful mages on a team together, they should be able to accomplish great things, but if Elyx had felt the need to bring the two others along, then perhaps the enemy they would be facing was far beyond their previous encounters. Fortunately, he had been through Hell the past month and come out stronger than ever.

    Post by Cr1tikal 21st June 2016, 3:09 am

Every day started with the same thing, preparing her hair and clothing for how she wanted. This fine day was no different, the young woman finely brushing her hair and fur while magically donning her standard clothing she was usually seen with. After that the day would take a twist from the normal in the shape of a letter, a letter delivered specifically to her. Cautious at first, Aiyana carefully opened the letter after making sure there were no magical or other kinds of traps inside of it. Once this was done she would immediately look to the bottom to see a name that made her excited about what the rest of the letter would be about; Elyx Reiaki! It seemed her was wanting her to come along and help explore an odd labyrinth, one that had minotaurs and possibly other creatures and surprises that could possibly be dangerous! Not that they had anything to worry about. The two of them could handle anything if they really tried, and they had a secret trick up their sleeves if they really ended up in a situation that really demanded it.

She need not rush to get there, Elyx being there meant she simply had to focus and end up where he was. The joy of being a celestial spirit, you could go where ever you wanted as long as you had been there before, or had a contract with a person near it. Once she was all prepared, and made sure that Memory was in fact in her shadow, the woman would go to the celestial world before picking out Elyx's magical energy to give herself a beacon to bring herself to his point of Earthland. The woman would show up about ten meters away from Elyx, away from the other person that seemed to be there as well.

”Ah! Elyx! Got your message and thought I'd show up as quick as possible! Good to see you again! And did you make that piece? That sounds lovely for a place this...drab.”

Her golden eyes would look over to the other, an excited breath leaving her mouth as she realized it was an old guild buddy she had not seen in ages. ”Ard! It's been so long since I've last seen you, let alone go on a job with you! How have you been? Is your guild doing all right? I'm sure you heard about mine, being so new and outside of the MC, but I don't hear much about the other guilds unless I talk to you guys or listen to rumors!” The excited woman was ready to talk both men to death if they allowed her to do so, whether here and now or throughout the job. It was their choice on how they wanted to get earfuls of words.

Ard would be the first one to arrive, being able to recognize his music like the mage had planned. However, the Wizard Saint would not stop the piece in the middle, it was unprofessional. All he had to do was lower the bow down and away from the bridge, and more onto the finger board. This will minimize the volume of his instrument and allow him to hear his friend. Of course, Ard would ask what he had been brought for. The Minotaur was going to be quite a treat for him, since he had no idea how flames mixed with them. I heard of some treasures man, some within a maze that apparently is nearly impossible to get out of. I don't have specific details yet, but we are about to get them soon. We are about to go to our client to understand a little bit more about him. The Sky Slayer would explain, the piece now just over the middle now. And just in time, after his explanation, Aiyana would arrive on the scene the same way he and her had met the first time, through traveling in the Celestial Spirit World. And on top of that, she'd even compliment his music and ask if it was a song he had made on his own. Thanks! I'm glad my letters are pretty high up in your list of priorities. Elyx would reply with a smile before continuing on. Yeah, it's a pretty recent one as well. It took me about a month just to write the music sheet, but I'm glad it paid off! And with that, it would finally come to an end. The young Wizard Saint would place his bow and Violin back to his sides. Then he'd drop them before they shattered with the air, returning back to their original homes, which is the violin case back home. Oh how convenient the use of magic could be.

His head would tilt to the side, mouth formed in the shape of a tiny "o" as he was curious. Aiyana interacted with Ard as if they have seen each other before. She could be flirty with anyone, that was a given that any male stranger got from her, but she seemed to be rather friendly with the Infinity Hydra Guild Master. Wait, you two have met each other already? He'd ask. Well, it was actually should not be too surprising, they were the Guild Masters of their own guild. Elyx himself did not have one, though it did make him wonder what would happen if he did. Shaking his head, he would eliminate the thought from being in his mind.

Much to his surprised, the third guest to arrive at the fountain, was an old friend of Ardere's. He met Aiyana a while back, back in the days when he was still in Sabertooth, and the two had even met once beyond that. Aside from Elyx, the fellow guild master was his most consistent mission partner. They had braved such places as the Haunted Village and even as far as Pergrande, two extremely dangerous missions. It was fortunate that the final guest had been one he had known, it meant things would go more smoothly. A slight smile across his pale lips, the Samurai let out a heavy breath. Long time no see Aiyana. Nice to know I have two friends on this mission. Adjusting the straps on his armor, his gold and black cloak flickered for a moment. Things have been pretty good, but always interesting, as you'd know. I hope your guild has been doing alright as well. Turning to the Violinist, the fire mage shrugged a bit. A slight smirk still plastered across his lips, as he nodded. What can I say? Aiyana and I go pretty far back, back to when I was in Sabertooth. I suppose we've got a pretty good team going here. Judging by the state of the town and their current location, whatever mission they were meant to go on was not a pleasant one. He had ventured out to the Cursed Lands twice now, and both times he nearly died. This was not a place for people who did not dwell in darkness to be, but sometimes it could not be helped. He was quite curious as to what exactly their task was. Elyx's letter did not fully explain it, but he trusted the Black Rose mage well enough to bring him aboard a mission they could handle. Considering their lineup, he doubted there was much they couldn't handle. Turning to the two mages, he slid his leather covered hands onto his broad hips. Running one of his pale hands through his thick brown hair, Ardere turned the conversation around from a meet and great to something a bit more serious. So old friend, where exactly is this client? He mentioned them entering the labyrinth, but from what he heard about that maze, no one ever came out. While the Fire King was confident in his own ability to overcome impossible odds, especially when surrounded by allies, he was wary of this place, as any mage should be. These lands were dark, very dark. On the bright side, his flame was not a bright or a holy one, it was a dark, corrupt one. Their mission had not yet begun, but it was already proving interesting.

    Post by Cr1tikal 5th July 2016, 4:46 pm

Aiyana would listen to the words that left both male's lips. Both were people she had done jobs with in some way, shape, or form. Whether as a summon to help on a job, or as a guild member of the same guild, the nine tailed fox had helped both of them out. It was good to see both alive and well, and even in the same place for the same job!

”Yes, it has Ardere! I haven't seen you since our couple of jobs in Sabertooth before you set off to make your own guild. It seems all the ones that come to me enjoy our ideals I have for us, but we struggle to keep enough members to make ends meet at times. That shouldn't be a problem in the future, though, I intend on making the guild reach out further; even if I have to do it myself.”

The woman's equipment was an off assortment of weapons as well as a hat that seemed off for her, though she had plans for a new set of armor that would make the hat a pointless extra. Her standard weapon, the Khopesh she always seemed to be using instead of her magic, was alongside what appeared to be a candy cane scythe. The scythe was a lot stronger than it looked, and had yet to see use after becoming part of her collection. Apparently it could turn certain enemies into edible candy, but the woman did not want to test that out on anything unless she knew that it wasn't something that deserved life. There were other things to it, but she would figure them out as they went; something about certain movements of the weapon summoning beings and such.

”Yeah, and what's his name? I've never actually been on a job of this caliber, and am curious to see if the name is of someone important, or is it just another person with something he wants done that is just super dangerous.” The young woman would fidget a bit as she stood there, her tails moving about excitedly as she awaited Elyx to tell them all that he knew, and to show them the way to the person requesting their assistance. Aiyana was ready to prove herself in a challenging job, and what better way to do so than with two men she had been with before? Sure her magic may have only been useful against those that used magic, or something outside the norm of physical combat, but she was craftier than people thought; even if she acted the harlot ninety percent of the time.

Well damn! Ard and Aiyana knew each other back before he had met either one of them, making him the black sheep. The third wheel. Well, he could not wait for them to get married off. All jokes aside as his would have a sheepish smile on his face, he'd go back to addressing the statements targeted towards him. First was where the client would be located, and so he would explain. Well, if my knowledge is correct, we should look for him in the village that is closest to the maze. That would be the Mountain Village, I assume we can find him there. The Wizard Saint would explain before placing the letter out towards Aiyana as she asked for them name. It read "Ulysses Arturo", but Elyx could not pronounce that. And they were about to watch him drop the name harder than Aiyana did to me-... Nevermind. The client goes by the name... Elesis? Ulaser? Utensil? I don't know, just read the paper while I go cry in the corner. Well, the latter of that sentense was a joke, but he honestly could not say the name for his life. It was rather embarrassing, but it was the best that he could do. The best course of action would be to address the other things that were meant for him to reply to, hopefully well enough to get the attention off of him. Congrats on you both running your guilds by the way. It's something not everyone can do, I don't know how you both can do it. I've seen all that nasty paperwork, and I honestly think a better way of dying would be to jump off of a cliff. Well, it was true. Being an Ace, he was stressed out enough as it was due to those damn papers. Now he was free from them... For now. Jobs were amazing like that, they made great excuses for him to get the hell out of doing work and actually working on things that made him happy. Like being in a job with two people that he considers his friends. We should probably depart from here A.S.A.P if we want to get to our client. It's not likely he'll expect us, so he can travel anywhere and out of reach if he is not located at his home. More of his experience as a Bounty Hunter was revealing. It was not the best plan, but it was better than the average plan. Hopefully average was good enough for them to work on. Otherwise, they would be there for quite a while.

Giving a slight bow to he other two mages, Ardere placed his hands across his wide hips. Many thanks The three mages had come quite far in the past year, which he could confidently say he did not expect, even from those standing here now. But it was fortunate that they had, proving themselves worthy of the titles they bore. Looking to he violinist for answers, he tilted his head and arched a brow as the man struggled to say their client's name. Yare yare. Speaking in his native tongue, the Samurai let out a slight sigh and chuckle. Well you should have said so, I only live above the damn place. Laughing slightly, he had been made to come all the way out here when they could have met up closer to their client, but it did not matter, he knew his way around the place fairly well. It appeared time was not of the essence, but he was quite interested in meeting the man sending them on a dangerous task. Well let's get a move on fellas. Flicking back his cloak so that it turned into a cape rather than block his legs as he moved, the fire mage was the first to depart from their current location. The village was quite the creepy place, but they would not be there for long. The Mountain Village was surrounded by several mountains, and was not far off, but the style of the buildings might make it a bit harder to find who they were looking for. If he had met the man before he could have used his slayer senses, but that was not the case. Instead, the three had to exit the village, and head down onto the path to their next location. Hopefully they would make it in time before the man moved on. I hope you're not leading us to our deaths, Elyx. Cause I would haunt the hell out of you. A smile crossing his pale lips, Ardere ran his fingers through his thick brown hair. Looking around, their path was clear. It would take some time to reach their destination, but if one of the other mages had brought something that would speed it up a bit, he was quite open to it. He was now beginning to wish he had brought Celica along, his sassy phoenix companion. But he had made the decision not to, and now he was paying the price. Bending over and picking up a rock, he tossed the rock out of boredom. Due to his severe strength, the rock would be tossed far away into the woods. Imbuing it with the War God's sigil at the last minute, a tree far away would be split in half, he could tell by the sound of the wood crunching and cracking, then a thud. It was likely only he could hear this, but he was just a bit antsy as they began their journey.

Elyx tried to remember the job holder's name, he really did. But it seemed that the poor boy couldn't get the whole thing and eventually gave up. ”Aww, Elyx! It's not like his name is really that big of a deal anyway. We're gonna meet the guy and I'm sure he will do a proper introduction with us anyway!” The nine tailed fox was unsure as to whether her words of attempted comfort would help, but at least she could say she had tried.

”And thanks Elyx, running a guild is not as easy as it sounds. So much paperwork...and being outside the Magic Council's influence does NOT ease up on that either. I have to watch what everyone does or risk being called criminal and having everyone on my guild members for no reason.” Her words were true. Hell, she had even had another guild already try to assassinate members of her guild and even herself. Though it had turned out she was unable to die anyway, that was beside the point. The fact that people were ready to kill off her and her guild over their decisions was something that made her worry even more for the safety of those she cared about.

”Anywaaaaays, I agree with you guys! We need to get a move on before this guy disappears and we end up with no clue on what we're actually supposed to be doing here, and any important information the guy might have.” It was after this she would hear Ardere joke about haunting the crap out of Elyx if he got them killed, though that brought an amusing thought into her mind; one she would readily share with them here and now.

”Technically, as a celestial spirit, I could be considered haunting you right now if I chose to do anything malicious!” The words were more a tease than really needed, and hinted at the fact she could appear at any given time if she really wanted to; being a part of both realms instead of needing a contract, or special magic item, to be in either at any time. The woman was quite curious as to their job, so she would follow the other two in the hopes that everything would be made clear sooner, rather than later. After all, there was surely plenty more for the group to do after they succeeded and parted ways after this mission. Two running guilds, and who knew what all Elyx did on his own for Black Rose, the guild he was in currently.

Are you sure about that? I have no idea what he looks like. The only hope would just to show people the name written on the job and ask them where that person is. Then again... Actually... That is not too bad of an idea. He would reply to Aiyana. Well, the woman at least tried to cheer him up, and it kind of worked in all honesty. Ten points to her! The part that helped take ten points off for Elyx was how Ard mentioned the fact that if it were mentioned earlier, they would have been able to travel towards the Infinity Hydra guild instead. So basically... He leads Ard to an area away from his guild and back. Whoops... Wait, what? Are you sure? The stupid brunette would ask as if to assure himself that he had a little bit of hope at saving himself when in reality, that was nowhere near the case. Fortunately, the flame slayer decided to give him a little bit of a break and make a joke that if Elyx were leading them to their deaths, he'd haunt the living hell out of them. With another joke to use, the Sky Slayer would then reply back. Nah, don't worry. If I wanted to kill you, I would try to sing. Trust me, you'll bleed badly. Elyx never had a singing voice, regardless if he were in a tribe or not. Made for a half decent joke. Oh well, placing his hands in his pockets, he would then look towards the direction he remembered the Mountain Village to be. All right! Time to pace towards the mountain! Lets go! And with that, his body would seemingly blur with the air as he zipped off, leaving the other two if they did not follow. They could take their own paths if they felt like, or maybe take his own. While his was not quite the best path to take when it came to speed, it was the only way from this area that he knew of to get to the village. Provided he were not interrupted in the process, it would take him about 5 minutes to reach his destination on foot. As he would step, his head would hit against the trees, snapping them in half upon impact and causing them to fly or fall, depending on the angle in which he had knocked them over. Once he arrived at the entrance of the West side of the village, he would stop in place, either to meet them there or to wait for them. This seems like the place. Mountain Village. Now for the client, all we would have to do is ask around and find the man. He said to himself, or the other two depending on the situation.

So you can throw me to the wolves
    Tomorrow I will come back
    Leader of the whole pack
    Beat me black and blue
    Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne

Huffing slightly as the violinist ran off into the distance, Ardere cracked his neck, preparing to make it to his destination. Looking back to the fox lady, he shrugged before also bolting. He was quite fast, even for his rank. Fortunately, he did not have to worry about the landscape, as he had an alternate mode of transportation. Leaping into the dense greenery, the samurai landed on a branch protruding from a rather large tree, before kicking off of it, and into the air. Twirling through the air, he landed atop a rather majestic beast. Flowing red and orange feathers, his phoenix soared through the air, with the guild master on her back. Letting the wind flow through his fluffy brown locks and causing his cape to flap back and forth, he took in a deep breath. Letting the cool air flow through his lungs, he hoped the other guild master had a plan of her own. While he did not particularly like walking all the way out to a village only to return almost immediately, it was entertaining to do so with friends. Exhaling deeply, he flew high above the trees. Within a short amount of time, he arrived at the mountain village, where he often traveled down to do business. Jumping off of his phoenix, Ardere landed close to Elyx, forming a small dent into the ground where he landed. Cracking his arms and legs, he gave a casual wave to the other mage. Waiting for the fox lady to arrive, he was prepared to met their client.

I suppose you should lead the way Elyx. Let's try not to dilly dally too much friend. Looking around, the village seemed to be having just another normal day. It was not particularly busy, or barren. The townspeople mingled, trading and talking, as the kids played through the streets. On the mountains above, he could see Terra Ignis in the distance, a massive city across the mountain tops, with Infinity Hydra at the center. It was unfortunate they had to travel all this way, as he knew they were going to travel yet again, but at least he had a more convenient means than walking. Ardere shifted his stance, and readied himself to walk about the town. If you need any help, I'd be happy to provide some assistance. I do live pretty close by after all. Flipping his cloak behind his shoulders to reform into a cape, he placed his hand upon his hip, heading into town, assuming the others were ready. They were in store for one hell of an adventure, he was fairly certain of it. Would it be any other way?

Aiyana's attempt at cheering up the man that had failed at reading a difficult name seemed to have worked, albeit not as great as she wanted it to, but at least he was a bit happier than he was before. A few more jokes would be passed around between the group, including one about Elyx having a terrible singing voice, before the Black Rose ace spoke up about making it through the mountains to get the the village this man was supposed to be at. Aiyana was very surprised at the speed with which the boy darted off with, blurring in her view as he began to run in the direction of the village and leaving her sight within seconds of beginning to move. The cracks of tree limbs breaking as he ran into them rung out for a minute or so before he was no longer close enough for her to be able to hear the noises anymore. Ardere had his own was of moving out towards the village, figuring he knew exactly where the town was after all, and would do some gymnastics to hop up above the treeline to manage a landing on his phoenix that would be flying him there.

”Well then! If everyone wants to be fancy about it I'll just be the last to arrive!” The young vixen would begin a casual stroll through the forest, looking at animals that stopped to stare at the magical creature that resembled a multiple tailed fox. None would come close enough, though some would take a wary step before darting back into the dark reaches of the mountain forest to hide from the strange creature encroaching upon the wilderness. The woman would go about her business for a few minutes, waiting for her feeling of Elyx's position to have him standing still before she went into action to get to them. There was no actual 'walking' there to get to them, a simple step into the celestial realm and then a step out would bring her to standing right next to the one she was in a contract with. ”Hello boys! Fancy meeting you two here!” The woman's words would be said teasingly at the two before she looked around.

Her first time in Mountain Village, and it was a village in a peaceful moment. Children playing, adults going about their business, and three mages looking for the man they needed for this job to get going! ”All right! One of you two, lead the way! I am ready for an adventure!”

All right, it seems like the task had been done, they were already at the scene now before he would then be told to lead the way. Nodding his head, he would look back to the leter that he received. Their client, was there any clue as to where they could find him? Before given the chance to think about it though, Aiyana of course would bring herself to him through the Celestial Spirit realm. Right, she did have that didn't she? And she would introduce herself in such a sly way, one that mimicked Iza. Okay, I think I am starting to get an idea. If we travel just a bit further, we can locate the scent of the man, who probably has been there a few times. Or maybe he is there right now. The letter seems to have no scent, so I guess it expired from the travel time, or it was purposely concealed. Elyx would like to think of it to be the former rather than the latter, but people were special, and they were willing to do weird things for weird reasons. Perhaps this guy had a bounty on his head, and he needed to get it off of his back, but did not have the money to pay for it in the first place. That was where this came in, where not even they can claim it. Of course, that would mean he's most likely not waiting for them at the entrance. Seems like he was able to cover that part, but he did not have any other way of doing it, other than going to the... Wait... Aiyana! I have an idea! You're a Slayer, so I need you to head for the Labrinth! The guy with the map will not be there, but he must have been there enough for you to get his scent. Once you do that, travel back to us here and tell us what you see! His light brown eyes would then shift over to Ard. You know this place better than any of us. Since this is the closest village to here, I would like to assume that you are able to track down anyone with your knowledge. And as for Elyx, he did not particularly have any skills that can help them. While he was indeed a slayer, one had to account for that fact that he could not teleport... Well, he can, but he was not going to waste magic power and Yuni's time with it. If the both of them agreed to it like he hoped they would, then they each had a role. As for Elyx, he was probably going to have to play sitting duck for right now since he will not be doing anything. Placing his hands in his pockets, he would begin to slowly walk forward, seeing if there was anything that he could do in the meantime. He was not the party type, since most often contain booze, and he was just an adult, barely as well.

Giving a casual salute to Elyx and Aiyana, Ardere cracked his knuckles. Several popping sounds emitted from between his fingers, as he took a deep breath. Heading out into the city, he made sure to procure a copy of the mission from the other slayer. Looking at the name, he nodded before disappearing off into the town. The only thing left in his wake was a dust cloud, with flickers of a black aura found outlining it. The fire mage dashed through the city, until he found a rather unique looking building in the center of town. This area was where he knew one of his contacts could be found. He made it a goal of his to have a few contacts here and there, especially in Fiore. Let's hope he's in. Stepping in the building, he gave it a slight knock, then another. The knocking sound hopefully resounded well enough for his old friend to hear him. The main room was cluttered with books and empty coffee cups, presumably meaning he had been busy researching as of late. Anyone home? Stopping in his tracks, he heard footsteps. Swiftly turning around, he did not see anyone, but he heard the click of a gun. Swiping his hand to the right, he pushed a white rifle to the side, prompting the cloaked man wielding it to slide back. Oi, be careful! I could've blown off half the block if I pulled the trigger. Plopping down onto one of the book covered sofas, the guild master chuckled. Still trying to scare the shit out of people I see. And do me a favor, don't swing around city block leveling guns in my city. The man removed his cloaked to reveal short blonde hair, and a scar across his left eye, which had turned white. It's not YOUR city anymore. You moved up the mountain. Nice to see you again Ardere. Waving slightly, the brown haired mage exhaled deeply. Still my territory, but nice to see you too, Old Man. His name was actually Aeryn, but the Samurai still retained some unfortunate habits from his youth, an unfortunate circumstance, but one beneficial to banter and comedy. Hell, you're almost as old as me these days. So let's cut to the chase, what do ya need? Handing the man the mission paper, he observed it quickly. Know a Ulysses Arturo? Taking a sip of some coffee sitting on a nearby table, Aeryn made quite the sour face before responding. Yeah I know em. He's got a shop two blocks down on the corner. No promises that he'll be there though. Nodding and patting the cloaked man on the shoulder, a smirk crossed Ardere's pale lips. Thanks old friend. He stated, as he promptly exited the shop, giving a slight bow. Next time give me a call before you drop by, and make it a longer visit! Chuckling, the fire mage waved. Will do! And clean that damn apartment! It smells like stale coffee! Shaking his head, he tried to remember the location. Two blocks down eh? Not too far. Perhaps this mission would not take a year as anticipated.

They had just gotten to the village, and now Aiyana Shuer was being asked to go to the labyrinth to try and catch the guys scent that they were looking for! Sure, she had a nose for men, but that was not quite what she meant by it! Yes, she was part fox, but that and her being a slayer did not just mean she was a sniffer! A slight frown would cross her face as she realized that all three of them were slayers, and that they all could probably do the same; she just was able to teleport long distances and could do so without much effort. ”Well...I guess I'll be back in a bit. No promises on how long it might take to find this guys scent! Don't get lost without me, or worse!” The woman would focused on where people had mentioned the labyrinth to be before she stepped into the celestial realm. With no exact knowledge of where it was, the woman kept that thought on her mind as she went through and talked to the other spirits until one could tell her exactly where to go; a minor celestial spirit offering to take her directly there for absolutely no favors whatsoever, even with Aiyana offering anything to them.

Arrival would be moments later, the vixen thanking her fellow celestial spirit before looking at the entrance of the labyrinth. It felt...wrong. There was something, or somethings, in there that were not meant to be bothered; and they would be going in there. The woman would walk forward, her nose trying to catch any male scents that she could find. There were a few, some were faint but all went in the same direction; into the labyrinth. ”Well, no harm in going into it on my own. I can just leave if I must, and I doubt anything is going to be able to stop me from going into the celestial realm in an emergency.” Words to boost her own confidence would be said aloud as she walked slowly into the massive maze, her nose following scents until the strongest one could be found. It was male, decently recent, and it covered a bit more area than the others. It had to be his, but how to make sure? Deciding against heading back straight away, the woman would continue her scent tracking until she found the ones that trailed too far in, those would not be from the one writing the message. Once she found a strong scent that hung near the beginnings only would she head back to the others in the group.

With that, he would follow Ard to the area where they would find the man. The one with the silver rifle that nearly blew their heads off, yup, it was that guy. It was unfortunate for them to end up meeting with Elyx nearly having to throw a bullet back at his opponent. Right now, he felt such a high amount of energy since Stella was with him, the bullet speed being added onto his own, thus also increasing his reflexes. Fortunately, they did not have to do anything that would involve bloodshed, since he seemed to recognize Ard. Right, this was his familiar town after all, why wouldn’t he? The both of them would talk to each other, and it turns out that he was a few blocks away from their current location. Well, that was quite… Unfortunate. Elyx had just sent Aiyana possibly miles away, only for them to be extremely close to it. Seems like a waste of her time, hopefully, she would not be pissed off with him. It seemed like a good plan when the Sky Slayer thought of it, but alas, it turned out to make Aiyana’s life harder. Either that or it just made her waste magic. Or both? Eh, it did not matter now. He placed his hands in his pockets as he watched all of it unfold in front of his eyes, not bothering to speak a word since he had no business with them or what they were talking about. Now that they had their information it, was now time to investigate the shop of their client. So as Ard would tell him that they now know where to go, Elyx would nod his head as he would begin to walk towards the block where the shop had been mentioned. It seemed secluded from the others, standing out. It seems that it was a well done business, the Wizard Saint wondered what could possibly be in there. All right, look at this. We seem to have found the shop, should we call back Aiyan- And she would then return back to him and Ard just in time, the traces being lead up to here. So maybe he did not waste her time after all. After all, she was able to confirm that he was right in the end. Or Ard rather, who was the one who even did any of the questions. Elyx would then look at the shop before entering inside of it, seeing what their client was about and why they wanted this task done. It was time for some recon.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Ardere took a deep breath. Making his way towards the shop a couple of block away from their current location, Aiyana arrived just in time. Welcome back. Fortunately after scouring the town, they did not have much more to go. The man's shop was a quaint one, nothing rather extravagant or over the top. It appeared as if it had been here for many years, one of the older shops here in the Mountain Village. He only registered one scent in the shop aside from his companions, that of a man. This was fortunate for their situation as they didn't have time to be waiting around or dealing with anyone else interfering in their business. Giving a slight knock to the side of the door, the samurai stuck his head in. Anyone home? Looking around the shop, he noticed plenty of maps and charts scattered. This man was quite the cartographer, but it meant nothing if they couldn't get the information for the second half of their endeavor. Something had happened out there in the maze, and it was imperative they discovered what that was.

Come in. The man called out from the back of the shop, where he was stationed, doodling across a map and some charts. He was a middle aged man, seemingly docile and laid back, but there was a slight tremor in his left hand. We're the group of mages that accepted the labyrinth job, but we were wondering if we could ask you a question. The man removed his reading glasses and straightened his posture. His physique and callus covered hands tipped off that he was quite the explorer. Ardere admired that in a man, but if something had sent someone such as his running, then they were in for a hell of an expedition. Why of course, ask away. Might I ask your names first? Giving a slight bow, the fire mage smiled. Ardere Kasai. We were wondering if you could tell us what happened in the second half of the labyrinth. The man's expression turned a bit sour, but he seemed like he had some sort of answer. It was quite obvious that the events that transpired in the maze were horrific to say the least. The guild master folded his arms, allowing the other mages to introduce themselves and ask any questions they had themselves. It was Elyx who invited them on the mission after all, so perhaps he had a bit more insight into the quest. Hopefully they had posed the correct one.

It would be a short while longer of traveling through the beginning of the maze that she would find a scent that was at least more common than any of the others that she could smell. With a bountiful amount of excitement the nine tailed fox would feel Elyx's magical presence before doing a step into the Celestial Realm to bring herself back to his side. Before she could even say anything she was being welcomed back by the two while they were standing before a shop that smelled very familiar. ”Aww...you guys found him without me already? Man! All that sniffing for men and I don't even get to be the hound for the search?”  The words were half joking, half serious, and her tails that were twirled together drooped a bit while her ears did the same. She had done something that had proven useless in the end, and that was quite a bummer to the woman.

The group was welcomed in after Ardere knocked on the door, Ardere introducing himself while also asking the major question that they were here to ask the man. Aiyana would introduce with a small ”I'm Aiyana” while she stayed in her little mood while awaiting for everything to start to get exciting again. Elyx would introduce himself as well before the man they were talking to finally spoke up.

“To be honest I have gone into the maze out of curiosity, but I couldn’t make it past the first twists and turns on my own. There really is a treasure in there because of all of the spirits and monsters that protect it as a security measure. I know not what the treasure is, but I have heard rumor that it is an important memory from a lost soul. Legends say that it belongs to one of the creators of this world. I just want to see it for myself. The only thing is, the mages I send tend to come back a little messed up in the head. Like something happened to all of them at the same time. One of the mages did come back holding his partner in his arms telling me that his partner attacked a memory and he had to defend himself.”

It was a surprise to Aiyana, to say the least, that a man would actually admit to lying about the majority of his experience in it. The female of the group would let the others decide what else to ask while she just simply listened to it all happen for the time being.

Right, because we all know how much you would hate that. Elyx would reply, chuckling a bit as he went on with the act of her being all disappointed about what she had to do to get to the goal. But it was a successful move, and now they were here. Elyx Reiaki. He would introduce himself, not much of a show being made out of it since neither of the others seemed to make a big deal out of it. Blending in was the best thing to do in this case, something about their client seemed edgy. The atmosphere and the kind of mission just gave him that sort of vibe. The man seemed to speak the words they needed to hear, though it was kind of odd about how honest he was about it. To be able to admit that he made such a stupid mistake like going in such a maze for a rare treasure without any help. Oh well, there was treasure at the end of it. And one thing that he had learned to value in life was money. It was able to take him to many places, provided Ignite did not decide to go on a spending spree. After hearing that, he would cross his arms before looking from side to side so that he could speak to his two partners. The maze seems to break down the mental state of the ones who go in it. Yet they had enough sanity to make an escape, you know, by thinking. Perhaps they were not the only bit of company there. He would comment before looking back to the man. He seemed serious enough about it, so he was not going to question him about the story to confirm if it was true or not. It connected enough pieces together to give him a theory. All right, I think that's all I need to know. Ard? Ardere as in if he had any questions. The Wizard Saint honestly had nothing else to say. The best questioning he could do was interrogation, but that became useless if there was nothing to even begin questioning. So with that, he would just place his hands in his pockets and awaited a finale to the conversation. Then they can be on their merry way towards the maze. Hm... Though there was another thing that he needed to consider. This client was able to get an analysis from some insane men. He said it himself, they were in a broken state. If they were to be the ones to tell him anything, and he took it as the truth... How much of the reality were they getting from such an explanation?

So you can throw me to the wolves
    Tomorrow I will come back
    Leader of the whole pack
    Beat me black and blue
    Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne

Nodding as he listened to the man, Ardere kept his arms folded. Whatever dwell within that labyrinth was dangerous, even to mages of their caliber, but he did not lack confidence in their ability. Besides, what would a mission be without at least a little bit of a challenge? I think we've learned all we need to know. Thank you for your time sir, we'll be in touch. Giving a casual salute to the older man, the fire mage exited the shop. Their next move was to make it back to the maze and do the only thing they could now; enter. They had an idea of what to expect in the first half, but in the latter they were on their own. On the bright side, their adventure was sure to be exciting. Taking a deep breath, the guild master cracked his neck, creating several popping sounds. Alright friends, let's head back to the maze. Not much else we can do to prepare. Tightening his headband, Ardere placed his fingers between his lips, blowing air through them. Creating a rather loud whistle, he could now hear his phoenix in the distance, flying towards their direction. We'll all meet at the entrance. We enter together, and we'll leave together. Providing the other two a confident look, he prepared to go on their treacherous journey. What the man spoke of in the labyrinth concerned him somewhat, but there was not much he could do about it, other than fight his hardest when it came to it. Aiyana could provide the best support while Elyx was more defense and the fire mage more offense, but all three were not to be trifled with in any area. They were perhaps some of the more versatile mages around, which provided them a grand advantage here. Hopefully it would be enough to complete this mission with flying colors. Leaping onto his now enlarged phoenix companion, the brown haired samurai flew off towards the Cursed Village. There was no time left to dilly dally. They had places to be, monsters to slay, and mazes to traverse. He could not help but be quite intrigued and excited, even among his worries. They were three powerful guild masters after all. Keep a steady pace Celica. Don't deter. The majestic phoenix, covered in crimson red flames, nodded. She flapped her winds with such a rhythm, that one could compare it to a heart beat. She soared through the sky, with Ardere clinging to her back, watching as they grew closer to their destination; the cursed lands.

The rest of the information that they gleaned from the man was nothing to be excited about. The maze caused issues with the mind, though that was something that she could hopefully overcome with some of the items at her disposal, and had caused some that had been in the maze to attack each other over it. But now that they were expecting it, they could try to avoid how it happens; if they figured out what was causing it while they were in the maze. It was not long before they conversation was over, however, and the two she was with each went on their way to get to their intended location for the job. Elyx would do whatever Elyx was going, or wanted, to do to make his way there. Ardere Kasai, on the other hand, made a flashy exit from the town they were in. After saying they could all meet at the entrance, and enter together after they all arrived, the guild master of Infinity Hydra would leap onto his enlarged pet phoenix before flying off on her at amazing speeds. Flames trailed behind them as they went off in the direction of the maze as Aiyana watched in awe at the fire for a small time.

Once she got a hold of herself, the easily amused woman would bring herself to the celestial realm and stay there for the moments it would take for the others to make it close to the maze. The Pharaoh’s Call guild master could feel her power return to her, the realm recovering everything that was recoverable for the celestial spirit she now was, before she made sure she had everything and stepped back into the maze. Upon arriving she would make sure that she found a place to sit, one that was not dirty, and make sure that all of her armor was placed in a proper way. She did not want the two boys distracted during this, and a slip from what the armor covered could provide a distraction if they were no expecting it. Once all set she would talk to Memory, making sure she was still okay.

”Memory, make sure to stay out of trouble while we are here, all right? I won't ask you to summon anything, so just stay in the shadows unless we need you to pull of some shadow clones for a few tricks.” The movement in her own shadow would show that the loyal fairy had understood her, the shadow being content with staying in the safety of a shadow over the dangers of the world they were in.

Aiyana most likely needed to use his key in order to get to the maze, and if not for that, she would end up walking. And god forbid something like that could happen! Elyx would look back out towards Ard as he made an explosive exit out from the store and went on his merry way to the maze. The Wizard saint himself would just casually walk out from the store. Then he’d place both of his palms out, letting them expose the air in front of him as he would then begin to craft his ride. The outline of a bird would be visible to those with magic eyesight at first, and the darkness of the magic would help bring life to the elegant creature. Within a few seconds, the Phoenix bird of wind would end up arriving, being formed right in front of him. And once all the details had been formed, the servant f the Sky Deity was made. Gently walking onto it’s back, he would sit down and then let it flying into the air. His legs would hang over the right edge and swing back and forth like an anxious child. His palms were placed firmly onto the back of the Phoenix bird, and then they were off towards the maze. The Phoenix had Elyx’s knowledge, being formed from his body and all of that, so it knew the location of where the maze would be. The travel was gentle, rather than speedy, since he felt more at home in the sky. And if the title Sky God Slayer did not say that enough, then what more could possibly help the case? However, despite being up in the air and feeling the comfort of the wind nuzzle against his face, the moment would feel all too short as he would end up being de-elevated back down onto the earth once again. The Phoenix Bird would land onto the ground softly right at the entrance, where Ardere was probably waiting since he was going out in an explosive manner, so his speed would probably match it. If Aiyana relied on Elyx’s key in order to travel over to him, then it would only be a matter of time before she ended up on the scene. Alternatively, she might have actually done the work herself, and she herself might have been waiting for him, making him the late one for enjoying the sky so much. It was a thing for him, and being a slayer who ate her own element, she probably knew what that was like.

(OOC: Elyx or Ai, feel free to roll dice on your posts if you wish. We've dilly dallied for a while now xD)

Leaping down from the back of his phoenix, the fire mage performed a roll to reduce impact, not that he needed to being made of flames, but it helped. Ardere wiped some dust from his cloak, and stood in front of the entrance to the labyrinth. The maze wrapped in mystery. He had to admit, he found himself quite curious as to what lay within. Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate that he would be finding out for himself today was irrelevant, it was more important just to find out and complete this mission. Looking at the massive doors to the labyrinth itself, he could not help but notice the archaic carvings along the sides of the stone. Running a finger across his chin, he waited for his team mates to arrive. It should not take too long considering none of them were particularly slow, but when they did arrive, he greeted them. Looks like we're back. We should go ahead and enter. to the other two mages, he nodded. Sound good? Waiting for sounds of confirmation from the others, the stone doors began to open on their own. With a loud scraping sound, the door positioned itself fully open, beckoning for the mages to enter.

Turning to the door, he held out a hand and snapped his fingers, producing a sizable flame to provide some light. While his black flames were not very bright, even with their red tint, he could infuse them with crash magic to produce a bright golden flame. Shall we? Stepping into the labyrinth, he felt a cold breeze whisk through the plates of his armor. His cloak flapped in the breeze, but even with his flame body he was given slight chills. It was an almost eerie feeling that overtook his body as he entered the maze, looking at the vines growing through and around the stone. Skeletons littered across the ground, and slightly burnt out torches scattering the walls, along with dry blood stains and more ancient carvings. Whatever occurred here, it was quite dark and tremendously ancient. The Fire King did not like it one bit, but they were committed to completing this task. No beast or man alive or even dead was going to stop this trio. Stepping deeper into the labyrinth, Ardere sealed his fate today; good or bad. There was no going back, as if he would have anyways. He could only hope his companions felt the same, and if they did, the labyrinth of mystery would not be so aptly named anymore.

It would not take long for the others to arrive at the Labyrinth of Mystery, and not much longer after that that they would begin their delve into the, thus far, unsolved maze that they needed to traverse to find the artifact that they were being requested to find. Ardere would be the first one to go in, the nine-tailed fox following very closely behind and to the right of him. Once inside there would be no turning back for them, as Aiyana doubted any of the current group would ever think of retreat. Good or Bad, Life or Death, Pass or Fail, there was only going forward from this point on. Though they had each other, all with their strengths and weaknesses and Aiyana had worked with both on separate occasions. There was no better trio to throw into a job, missions, battle, or anything else that one could be paired up for. The weaknesses of one were made up by the strengths of another, and they were all comfortable fighting beside each other; though they had to watch out on how they used their magic to refrain from hurting each other.

Ardere had given them the gift of light using his flames, something she appreciated even though she could see in the darkness of the maze. More light meant she could see in even better detail, and that helped a lot when one could see in all directions. Though they could see, there was not much to see in any direction as they walked. The twists and turns of the maze made it near impossible to see too much ahead of them as they walked. Only in small stretches, at max two hundred feet, were they able to see a good distance ahead. Sound, however, was all around them; making known the creatures of the labyrinth. A roar in the distance could be heard, though far enough away that it would be faint even for their slayer improved senses. Some sounds were much closer, however, and a few seemed to even be coming their way. ”Well, I'm pretty sure you guys can hear it too. Seems we're about to have some company, huh?” The woman began drawing a weapon she had yet to use until today; a scythe called 'Santa's Scythe' by the person she had bought it off of. It had strange powers, but it was said to easily defeat the weaker enemies one could come across, and it had an amazing reach for a weapon. ”Well, looks like we get to the fun part boys. Don't play nice with them now.” Her words had a slight tinge of sarcasm and joking to it, even though they were about to fight.
