Who's that random guy? [Open Intro into the Guild]

Lex walked off the boat’s dock with slow and cautious steps. The ship that he booked passage to Phoenix island was rather poorly built. He had got to the island safely though and that was all that mattered. He was finally here, it took a few weeks of a boat ride to finally make it to his destination. Lex walked from the docks down to the stone street. “Well, lets see what the hype is all about. That geezer from the mainland better not have lied to me about being able to make some quick bucks being in this treasure hunting guild.” Alex opted for a light blue V-neck shirt and a pair of loose fitting khaki slacks and a pair of simple tennis shoes. The island was filled with people and in the center was a large structure that Lex could only believe was the guild. He knew nobody in the guild so he felt that perhaps he should find himself a normal everyday member first and get some information out of them, it would be the only way he would for sure get the information he wanted and get a possible in for Golden Phoenix.

He turned onto a busy street that had lots of different food stalls and even some homemade crafts. Lex had a bit of money left from his boat fare but did not care to blow it on some stupid nicknacks that were filling the vendors’ wears. The smell of cooking food though, that was something that he would not mind blowing his money on. He walked the street until he found a BBQ joint that was giving off the most alluring smell. There was a bit of a line so he would have to wait, hopefully not too long but perhaps he might be waiting with a member of the very guild he was trying to join.

Fenghuang happened to be infront of Lex in the line. She was not going to finish her shopping without eating a good stick at the local grill. She stands, swaying to and fro as Galileo laid his ghostly eyes on Lex. Unless Lex can see Galileo, which is usually impossible, he would not have took notice that Galileo started whispering into Fenghuang's ear.

"I recognize the gleam in his eyes, you could not stop having that gleam when you walked up that god forsaken mountain," Galileo said, Fenghuang stopped and shifts her eyes to look at the spirit.

"And you refused to shut up," Fenghuang muttered, but with a smile of her face and a teasing tone. Galileo took offense as usual. Galileo had no way to interact with the real world, so he could not expose the guild mark on Fenghuang so he sat on Lex's unsuspecting head as they waited for the queue.

The line in front of Lex was moving at an incredibly slow pace, so slow that Lex was starting to get bored and looking around for things to occupy his mind. He head turned towards the massive structure in the center of the town once more. Geez that is such a flashy base, be so easy for enemy airship or assault to happen. Though I guess that outer area serves as some kind of shield for the interior. He shiften his attention to the constant moving woman standing in front of him. She was swaying to and fro, probably out of boredom like he was. She looked young, much younger than Lex, maybe at least a decade younger; maybe even younger than that, he was not good at reading women or their age, they didn’t cater his certain needs or desires.

While the area was relatively loud he could not help but her the woman mumble something under her breathe, he could not make out what she was saying at all. He would not pry though, no use getting in some teenager’s affairs. He had other things to do and right now he was too focused on the gurgling sounds coming from his stomach due to the hunger he was dealing with. He peered his head to the side of the line attempting to see what was holding them up. He saw a man dressed rather nicely just staring at the menu. Since the line had not moved once since he had been here, Lex was led to assume that this man was the hold up. He cupped his hands around his mouth and hollered at the man. “Come on, if you’re not ready get out of the line! We are all hungry!” Little did Lex know that while he did this a ghost was resting peacefully atop his head, nor was he aware that the young woman before him a member of the guild he was attempting to join. Would his actions sway their opinion on him in the negative light?

Lolita had finally decided she had enough money to go shopping around the town nearest the place Golden Phoenix, the amount of jewel she had was not very high, but it was enough. Unlike most of the guild? Frost was no treasure hunter, she was just a fourteen year old girl trying to get acquainted with a magic she picked up barely a year before leaving her home country. Doing dangerous thing's like hunting for treasure? That was currently above the blue haired child's ability, she could not complete such dangerous missions when she only had one combat enabled spirit who tended to piss off whoever she was working with. One day the girl would clearly be a powerful celestial mage, because heck she already had one zodiac key so early on, the only direction for her to go was up, in terms of power. For now though she was happy in her current position doing menial missions that didn't involve much fighting if they required fighting at all.

Also remember that celestial zodiac key she had gotten her hands on? It was walking along beside her, a pink haired girl with ram horns. However today Lolita had been smart enough to make Aries put on a pair of simple blue jeans and a white t-shirt, so the cute spirit did not stand out so much. So the two girls walked hand in hand down the street. ""Are you hungry Loli?" the ram was not only Frost's spirit but her care taker, considering the teenager was barely old enough to be on her own. Loli nodded her head simply and they went towards the nearest food booth, realizing there was a confrontation there, the celestial mage clung to her ram friend.

"Calm down Sir, your not being a decent person and we won't have you treating our guild mate like that." Aries and Loli clung to each other, hands tightly winded together. Honestly? It was a bit adorable, they were trying to stand up for their fellow pheonix, but neither of them seemed capable of the fight. Circe I might need you soon. she could hear the soft hum of approval from her harpy spirit, hand reaching towards the keys on her waist, encase the irate male attacked them. Lolita did not trust people much.

Just as Lex hollard at the man and returned to his normal position of standing in line did the voice of a young woman reach his ears. Was it the woman in front of him that was waying to her own melody? No, this one was coming from behind him. He turned around and looked down to see a young woman, perhaps even younger than the one that was in front of him. Was this town full of children and teenagers or something? Where are their parents? Lex was not old by any means but he was a bit older than the woman to the front of him and definitely much older than the one behind him. He looked at her with a quizative expression on his face before the term guildmate registered in his brain. Is that guy at the front of the line in Golden Phoenix? The man looked so plain, so not interesting enough to be a member of a treasure hunting guild. Perhaps this guild the girl was speaking about was not in fact Golden Phoenix but one of the other dozen or so guilds in Fiore.

Lex would need to play it cool and calm either way, if this girl and the guy he yelled at were indeed part of Golden Phoenix he would have to recover his comment in a careful manner. “A decent person? How do you figure that I am not being a decent person when all I am trying to do is help this line of people a chance to get some of that delicious food that is being prepared just a few feet away? I would think a young woman such as yourself would understand that, you are at the age that you’ll be growing feet overnight, your body needs decent food to do feats like that.” A paused for just a brief moment thinking about his next statement. Before the girl had a chance to answer his previous comment Lex made another. “Though you did say you were guildmates with that guy right? Well I’d assume that makes you a member of Golden Phoenix, so you would have a unique advantage over me about this town’s food choices. I would be more than happy if you could perhaps point me or enlighten me on the other fine food vendors in town. This particular one just smelled so good that I got in line without even looking elsewhere.”

”What seems to be the problem over here?”
The ace’s voice arose from the side of the barbeque stand, fists resting upon her hips once she stood near the front of the growing line. Seeing as how it was such a nice day the slayer had figured she could go into town to do some shopping, something she found herself doing quite often these days. For some reason when she shopped within the town the venders would give her special deals, seeing how she was an ace of the guild that occupied this land. Probably out of respect, she guessed. While she had no problem paying full price normally, she couldn’t find the heart to turn down such deals. Her greed was getting to her… Though this was one act of greed she wouldn’t linger too much upon. It was just them being kind.
But upon coming down from the guild hall, she was met with quite the scene it seems.
Bright crimson eyes rested upon the vender running the stand, tapping his foot in frustration, arms crossed across his chest. Then to the person in front, obviously trying to decide what he wanted to eat while their eyes scanned the food in front of them. She then looked to the line, people constantly groaning and shouting at each other to hurry up. A small frown etched onto the silvernette’s face. Ah, she saw the problem now.
Sighing, the dragon slayer reached into her pocket, pulling out a small pouch of jewels. Taking a few more steps to stand beside the questioning man, the woman dropped the pouch onto the smooth table, causing the pouch to open, revealing a decent amount of shining jewels.
“One of everything for this man” Astrid showed a toothy smile. “If you can’t decide on one thing, why not have a bit of everything, yes? My treat.”

Both the customer’s and vender’s eyes widened, a few cheers and sighs springing about the crowd, excited that the line was finally going to move again. The vender rushed around, gathering the rather hefty order while the customer thanked the dragon slayer for her donation.
“Thank you, lady Astrid. Bless you” He laughed.

“Do not worry about it. Anything for the people” she smiled sheepishly, waving a dismissive hand.
Anything for the people. It was true. She would gladly do anything for the people from her guild and city… Or really, just anyone in general. If that thing was to even just move a line along, she would gladly do it.

Though sadly, she had not caught the exact details of some of the shouting in the first place... So she was not currently aware of any of the conversations beforehand.
