    YOU CAN BLOOM
    Believe it.

    Camile

Camile sighed to herself, face flushed red. She couldn’t believe how her first interaction with the guild had gone so horrible! Why had she walked into an Inn screaming! Even if she were excited, it was no excuse to disrupt their business. It’s a miracle that she was even allowed into the guild at all after that debacle. She swirled the straw in her lemonade around, in some sort of motion she might have hoped with flush out her sorrow. The two ice cubes swirled around the sweet liquid making a mock twister in the glass sculpture. Truly, the cp was a marvelous work, filed with finishes from top to bottom that would make anyone feel like royalty of sorts. Thinking about this would, unfortunately, only add to her shame. They had put so much work into making this place comfortable right down to the ornate cup designs and she had the gall to mess it all up. Sometimes, Camile wished she could just disappear.

She picked her head up, this was no time to feel so blue. The world didn’t revolve around her after all, if she wanted to repay the guild, then she’d help their reputation in other parts of the world. Thus far, she had only done jobs near Rose Garden, in part due to her lack of a passport. But now, she could to a much broader world, filled with mystery and intrigue and spread the good news of Black Rose’s coming. She stood in a regal fashion, making careful to ensure she didn’t disturb the guest this time, and walked over to the board where jobs were posted. Hers eyes began to peruse over the list of options steadily, nothing could break her concentration now.

The Inn was doused into the laid back mood it has always been. After all, the place was build to provide comfort to those coming back from lands of harsh winters and long nights. Places that would tear some down both physically and emotionally! Places SO fluffy AND comfortable they needed a break in a less fluffortable location! The jack of all trades in Rose Garden, and THE place to be where the grand mage of illustrious extraordinary deeds Horatio performed his deeds of trickery.

The sun was out and the people were about. All seemed like a regular day, though there was one definite misfit among the colorful streets. A man dressed in a white suit, a white top hat and a red tie with the letters 'HORATO' spelled in glittering letters walked among the more usual people. If only Strange was better at sewing he might have been deemed normal, given it would have given him a tie with his properly spelled name. Of course that would be the reason why people looked oddly at him instead of full of awe, what else could it be?

Thoughts like these took a hold of Strange's mind as he came closer and closer to the entrance of the both famous and infamous guild hall of Black Rose, the guild honored to hold him in their presence. But now what. A knock? No, that would be what the regular plebs would do to announce their presence. A solid kick? Oh how barbaric! No, those were all the ways someone without the same bravado would do. But as he was pondering whilst others entered the Inn, who in their turn wondered why there was such a queer guy next to the entrance something hit him. If he possessed magic he would have had a light-bulb levitating above his head! Of course! How could he have been so doubtful about something so obvious!

Taking in his surroundings, because of course, safety first, Horatio ( since he had gone 100% into his stage alter ego). Took a few steps back from the Inn. After fully concentrating on the amazing trick he was about to perform he went into a state many athletes would refer to as 'the zone'. He could hear the dirt crackling underneath his shoes. He could see the crackles in the very air he exhaled. This was his moment. THE moment!

Taking a less then out of ordinary sprint Horatio jumped! Covering his face, because again, safety first, the sound of breaking glass could be heard throughout the establishment. With a loud thud and the low key noise of someone grunting in pain Horatio hit the ground. Of course he had planned for a cool looking roll! But he forgot he did not have that kind of an acrobatic talent to begin with. Only a few seconds went by as he laid on the ground before quickly jumping on his feet, brushing off which pieces of glass were stuck on his clothes, and walked off like nothing had happened. Oh well, he could always do a cool dramatic entrance some other time then.

    YOU’RE A FOOL

Some say, you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. In this case, she wondered suppose if that really was to be true. An almost cartoonishly dressed man had simply jumped in through the door to the Inn! No knocking like a normal human, not even a word of announcement, just a crash and a bang! Was he mad? Camile pondered over past readings of wizards who doned so much power they went insane. They conjured spells so powerful, they broke their own conscious into pieces. She had seen a tattoo on the back of his neck, indicating that he must have some prowess for the magical arts!

Oh this is wonderful! Now Camile could learn from a true mage who must have years of experience behind him! If he'd be merciful enough, maybe he'd grace her with his presence on the job she was intending to go on! She would really need the help of some extra muscle if she wanted to get anywhere, she was still new to the whole "magic" thing after all. It's true, Sephirot had graced her with a lot of power, a whole set of armor in fact that she had vowed to bear in his honor. She was a Fleur Knight, through and through, bound to her duty. But holding a sword and weilding it were two different things. She had resolved to learn as much as she could from this strange man.

    "Are you alright , sir"

It worked? I mean of course it worked! He was the grand dexterous battle mage of yonder Horatio after all! Giving the room one more quick glance to see if someone wanted an encore Horatio smiled satisfied. Until someone had the audacity to ask of him if he were 'alright'. Of course he was! At least so he thought to himself in quiet disbelief as he subconsciously flicked some blood off his right hand. Some of the glass might have grazed him after all.

''Of course I'm alright dear. You must be new around here so I'll forgive you of your ignorance. I am the gracious flourishing yet arbitrary mage Horatio, a pleasure to meet you.''

Horatio finished his line of seemingly rehearsed dialogue ( though not really) with a small theatrical bow, one that some might deem pompous enough to be more mocking than to be a sign of respect, though he didn't mean to make it so. As he returned from his stance he smirked once more, as he grand idea had struck him once again! If only Strange was here ( though he is ) to witness the second time today his genius mind had given him a plan. She was obviously new here, or she would have known him, so why not display his greatest known feat? His best cream of the crop spell that not even the people in the very room they were standing in had witnessed!

Seeming a bit fast for his usual self Horatio quickly grabbed a table that stood nearby, and though it took him a bit of effort he did everything in his might to make it look like he was purposely building tension and giving himself attention as the screeching and slow noise of the table was going across the room. On it, he drew a white circle with what seemed to be glyphs. Closer inspection, if taken, would obviously reveal that these had no magical purpose but were scribbles that meant nothing. However before anyone would have the chance to debunk the magic circle Horatio quickly 'conjured' ( and with conjured I mean pulled out of his sleeve) a white blanket and laid it on the table.

''Now witness my might as I shall use my magic to conjure something amazing! Something that has struck fear into the hearts of even the most brazen of foes I have faced through my many travels! A beast..no.. A MONSTER capable of inflicting despair onto even entire cities and nationals alike!''

Horatio held both his hands, spread open, above the blanket as he seemed to be whispering incantations. Someone with a keen sense of hearing might hear the occasional 'I'mamazing' and 'thisbetterwork' whispered and muttered through the incantation. After a solid minute of chanting his most impressive sounding spell he slammed his hands on the table, hoping to shock or fluster anyone listening in too intensely to his fake chants, which was both his way of throwing a smoke screen or averting attention away from his next move of sleight of hand for his hands quickly turned into fists and grabbed the blanket, pulling it away in a way that obscured view from the table for a split second.

    In this split second his true talent shone brightly, for he used his quick sleight of hand to quickly place an object on the table. Now his theatrics were over. The blanket gone, and his trick on the table. Though it was noteworthy the blanket ended up on the head of a guest that couldn't quite appreciate the trick and seemed to stand up in an angry fashion indicating he might be willing to pick a fight if ignored. AND ignored he was! For Horatio yelled in his most pompous way;

''BEHOLD! DUG THE DUCK, GOD OF STILL WATER AND EMPEROR OF THE REALM OF BATH!''

On the table stood a rubber fat duck with a vintage Horatio collectible miniature top hat. What more could be said?

    Camile

“Oh, oh my,” the man was surely insane. To jump straight through the window of this fine establishment, he must have had learned some horrible dark truth in his past. He seemed to have some reputation amongst the guild for his prowess. Not many people would truly speak with such confidence about their abilities to a complete stranger, unknowing of who they are. As a matter of fact, he even was able to realize that she was new to Black Rose, simply because she had asked if he was alright, as if the question in itself was a silly thing to wonder about. She would need to get on the good side of this powerful mage.

The man began to put on some obvious theatrical performance in which he inscribed runes onto a table he methodically moved closer to himself. As he described his magic to Camile, she began to step back almost instictively. Perhaps this was some sort of test? Was he trying to see if she could defeat some monster? That must be it! Why else would he summon such a power creature out of nowhere? Camile got into a fighting stance, ready to assault the creature Horatio would bring about.  Her body was dazzled by pink lights as a beautiful pink flower blooms from them. A multitude of flowers bloomed over her entire body until they coalesced to form the Daphne Armor and the Daphne Sword. As he said the final words of his incantation, she watched as the horrifying beast was... a duck? While it wasn’t the weirdest thing she’d ever seen, it certainly was interesting. Camile dropped her stance and began to wonder if the man was simply mad. "Um, is that your liege?"

    ''My liege? MY.LIEGE?!''

Horatio couldn't believe what he just heard! As great an emperor as Dug might be, he was nowhere close to the phenomenon Horatio was! He was clearly both upset and outraged by the response. Enough to take a few seconds to reconcile with himself. It didn't take long for him to eventually reach a consensus with himself. He grabbed his hat aggressively and proceeded to throw it onto the ground.

''I'm DONE! DONE I TELL YOU! These ignorant country hicks here are all the same! Unable to understand true genius even if it just performed an act of grand magic right in front of them! Strange I don't care I tell you! NOT ANYMORE!''

After his small tirade, seemingly not aimed at anyone in particular the whole aura around Horatio seemed to change. Only seconds after he threw his hat on the ground and yelled bloody murder his posture became more relaxed. His shoulders lowered, and the twinkle and stress in his eyes began to fade. His almost unnatural grin disappeared, and as moments went by he was left staring at the hat on the ground, before starting a small monologue with himself. One said in a manner rather unlike before, not pompous and with a slightly deeper, less theatrical tone.

''I suppose that's it for today then huh.. Bested once again my the mere attitude of a single bystander.. we'll never make it big like that Horatio.. You know that..''

The voice was full of sighs, full of disappointment and resentment. It was quite the depressive demeanor compared to just a couple of moments ago. The man, who clearly couldn't be compared to Horatio, didn't even seem to mind the person right in front of him. He was upset, even a tat broken by what happened, so he didn't feel the need to notice his surroundings at all. He was just stuck in his own little sulking at that moment.
