Special Characteristics: Zeron is half demon, half human. He takes 50% extra damage from Demon Slayer Magic, and all spells that affect only demons or only humans have 50% effectiveness on him. It is also important to note that Zeron Guzmial is not his true name, but a pseudonym he has put on while he embarks on his quest.


Personality: When you meet Zeron, he seems like a total playboy. Handsome in an effeminate way, constantly flirting, and always acting suavely; if it weren’t for his disregard for personal space, many would consider this facet of him quite a catch. Beneath the mask, however, he is a completely different person. If you catch him off guard or fall too deep into his trap, his real colors emerge.


Beneath his outgoing, coy exterior lies a man completely dedicated to a goal of shedding his human form. Ever since his demon mother revealed herself to him and explained his heritage, Zeron has felt trapped by his human shell; he longs to erase his human heritage and revel in his demonhood. To this end, he has nearly entirely discarded his old name, and he has delved deep into the field of magical biology, particularly the study of magical mutations and what their causes and effects are. No matter how hard he tries, however, his human side remains a self-identified stain that he cannot be rid of.


One might expect that somebody trying so hard to shed their human selves would view other humans with disdain. Initially, they would be correct, but as Zeron has aged and become more involved with the professional world, his respect for humanity has grown considerably. Just because his own human heritage is a disgrace, he reasons, does not mean that all humans are as disgraceful; simply because he is superior does not mean that he can completely discount the many ideas and thoughts that they have created. Although he still treats the majority of humans like beings barely worthy of being called animals, there are a multitude of other researchers that he considers valued partners and allies in his quest. He is a well known researcher in his field and he interacts with his many fellow researchers in the field on a regular basis, although he is recently on a ‘siesta’ to track down a person who stole a chunk of his most recent research. While on his ‘siesta’, Zeron has made it a point to seek out others who he can consider worthy of respect. Despite his best efforts, however, Zeron has not managed to completely outgrow his rage; when pushed or irritated, he won’t hesitate to completely disregard the well-being of those around him.


In combat, Zeron brings his outer/inner nature duality to the battlefield. At the beginning of an encounter, he’ll act abrasive, cocky, and generally just attempt to mess with his opponent’s head by acting as though he doesn’t care about the encounter. In reality, though, he will constantly monitor his opponent: The type of magic they use, how they position themselves, and all other facets of their battle style. This analytical style makes him a dangerous opponent to face, as not only does he analyze his opponent thoroughly, he files the information away in his brain for later use. This memory analysis also allows him to be a great leader, relaying this information quickly and efficiently to anybody under him. He makes for a terrible underling, however; he refuses to do what another tells him to do without knowing every reasoning behind it, leading to a lot of wasted time and frustration.


Likes:
> Advancing his research. Zeron works on advancing his research, as it brings him one step closer to shedding his human shell.
> Intellectual Equals. Zeron loves spending time with people who can challenge his views, and will actively seek them out and pester them into having arguments so he can advance his own theories.
> Making others uncomfortable. Zeron enjoys watching others squirm in discomfort, and will actively bring up strange topics and ignores personal space to bother people (particularly humans).
Dislikes:
> Stupid people. Zeron has no time for people who can’t challenge him intellectually in some way.
> Being late. Zeron is a rather punctual person, and it grates on his nerves when he or another is late, whether it’s accidental or on purpose.
> His human side. Zeron despises his humanity, and wants to be rid of it so that he can pursue ever greater heights.
Motivations:
> Ascending past humanity. As said above, Zeron wants to be rid of his humanity and compassion so that he can further his research to the maximum.
> Finding the one who stole his research. Recently, somebody had the gall to steal a large chunk of Zeron’s research; he has taken a break from his lab to find and punish the perpetrator.
> Exploring his demon heritage. Zeron wants to find out and immerse himself fully in his mother’s heritage in order to minimize his human half.
Fears:
> Falling prey to his compassion. Zeron fears that the compassion he feels for humans will cause him to make too many soft decisions and not be able to follow through on his research.
> Hitting a dead end in his experiments. Like most researchers, Zeron is terrified of his research being all for naught.
> Having his credit stolen. Especially with his most recent research stolen, Zeron fears somebody publishing his work under their name and losing all of the credit.

Hair: White and shoulder length
Eyes: One eye is bright yellow, the other is black with red pupils and shadowy cracks emerging from it. He usually uses magic to make both eyes appear like the yellow one, however.
Skin Tone: Darker
Appearance: Zeron is a thin, androgynous man with a childlike build. His clothes vary wildly, over the full spectrum of masculine to feminine, and are very different based on his plans. When he does his research in his lab, he prefers lab coats and other proper clothing, but when out and about doing missions or fighting others, he prefers revealing, loose-fitting clothing, like the outfit shown below.
