Its scales are coarse to the touch and almost feel as if they’re made of some type of metal that is impenetrable by weapons of a weaker rank than it. But sticking one’s hands underneath the scales, one will find that it’s warm beneath them, like a furnace that’s ever-burning. These scales are what protect it from any form of manmade weapon that would try to penetrate it in order to kill it. Though these scales are tough and very nearly impenetrable, these scales are considered valuable by all merchants in Fiore. They’re a soft, iridescent color that may look to be a creamy yellow in the sunlight, but are really, truly just reflecting the sun’s own light. But it isn’t what is upon the snake’s body that makes it a terrifying beast to battle, it’s what resides deep within the bowels of the creature. Legends say that a single bite from this venomous creature is able to kill a man on spot, and that it constricts like ten alligators at once.
The bite of this snake is so strong that it can easily pierce through brick and rip chunks of buildings off like they are nothing. Its body can merely whack into something and crush it beneath the tons of weight that make up the reptile’s own form. However, it’s a creature of magnificent beauty, both deadly with its venom and strength, but beautiful with its iridescent scales. Apophis slumbers beneath the sands of the Forgotten Desert, though, not doing much other than waiting for when its master needs it. But when it awakens, the sand rises with it, rolling off its body as if it were merely a blanket over a sleeping beast as it hibernated. It slithers and moves through the landscape with just the force of its body, silent, but able to be seen miles into the sky. A beast formidable in nature, but is calm and wise beyond its years, only attacking when provoked or when its master’s in danger.
Strengths:
- Apophis's large size means that it's harder for it to feel pain and damage that is dealt toward it; so, a spear in the side means nothing to Apophis
- The strength of Apep's jaw is more powerful than that of a normal-sized King Cobra's and the venom it exudes is deadlier as well
- Due to its association with snake charming, Apophis undoubtedly obeys every command that its owner "charms" it to do
Weaknesses:
- The lumbering size of this King Cobra causes it to move at a much slower speed than normal-sized King Cobras move, making it an easy target
- A person will almost always know when Apep is around due to its immense size, visible from miles away when in Bird's Eye View
- Its larger size means that Apophis isn't able to fit through tiny spaces and, more than likely, can't fit through streets
- Apep causes destruction wherever it goes, not because it wants to, but because its size causes it to just break things. . . like buildings

Description: Despite its large size, Apophis is capable of wrapping itself around a target to prevent them from moving, while also dealing damage. Upon a target being wrapped into the coils of the snake, they'll find that no matter how hard they struggle they cannot escape. While higher-ranking magi may find it easy to escape from the constricting grasp of Apep, it is those of equal to or lower in rank to the ability that cannot escape. Damage from this ability is instantaneously dealt to them, a person receiving an upwards of 175% A-rank damage in full. However, depending on the person's magic and what type of armor or items are upon them, damage may be significantly reduced. Targets that are constricted by Apep's coils will find that it's rather hard to breathe or be unable to breathe at all. Side effects of being constricted are up to the player, though, and can be entirely ignored if they want to.
Strengths:- Targets that are constricted by Apophis are unable to escape from its grasp if they are equal to or lower in rank to the ability
- Damage that is dealt by the constricting force of Apep's muscle can equate to 175% A-rank damage
- Side effects of suffocation or internal damage may occur from the constriction forced on a magus
Weaknesses:- Apep's scales are not completely impenetrable; as long as a weapon of equal rank to Apophis is used, they can escape by piercing its scales
- Higher-ranking magi can ignore the strength of the constriction and easily slip through the coils
- Apophis's size hinders its ability to properly constrict targets, which means the tinier the target is, the easier it may be for them to escape
- Damage reduction or any form of damage resistance can lower how much damage a person receives
- Targets that are constricted by Apophis are unable to escape from its grasp if they are equal to or lower in rank to the ability

Description: Being a venomous creature, Apep is capable of biting down onto a target and injecting venom into their system. The venom will course through their veins and cause a burning sensation similar to being burned alive on a stake. However, the venom is not a DoT; instead, it deals pure damage instantaneously upon entering the target's system. Those that are injected with the venom will be dealt 175% S-rank damage the second it enters into their system. However, damage can be reduced depending on the target's magic and any items or armor that they're wearing. Alongside the burning sensation that a target receives, they will also begin to feel nauseated and dizzy, and may even vomit. Side effects may be decided upon by the player or can be completely ignored if the player really wants to.
Strengths:- Targets that are bite by Apophis will have venom injected into their veins that deals 175% S-rank damage
- Side effects may occur involving nausea, dizziness, vomiting, or anything decided upon the player
- May hinder a target due to the nausea and dizziness that may affect their ability to function correctly
Weaknesses:- Side effects will only occur if the player of the affected character wants them to and do not occur automatically
- Damage may be reduced depending on what a magus has on them, effectively lowering damage received
- Apep's large, volumetric mouth may end up just swallowing the magus whole instead of simply biting down on them
- In some cases, magi that are bit by Apophis may be immune to poison or venom and can ignore both damage and side effects
- Targets that are bite by Apophis will have venom injected into their veins that deals 175% S-rank damage
- Noncombat Abilities:
- Chameleon Effect:
- Snakes have always been known to blend appropriately into their surroundings with the use of their finely colored scales. However, in Apophis’s case, because it is such a large King Cobra and cannot blend in as easily as the rest of its species, it has adapted. Through the use of a different kind of magic, which many would dub as “snake magic,” Apep has learned how to completely blend into its surroundings. This does not utilize the scales on its body either, rather it becomes completely invisible upon gathering a surmount of magical energy around itself. What occurs is the gradual change of the snake’s color, mixing and blending into whatever it happens to slither across at the time. In some cases, because it cannot properly blend into its surroundings, the snake may become completely invisible or transparent. Camouflage is a rather easy thing for it to do; however, in cases where heat vision or otherwise is used, Apophis may become visible to the naked eye.
- Climbing:
- Apep’s body has adapted to its large size rather quickly and it has become proficient at being able to climb whatever it needs to climb. Mind you, Apophis is far too large to be able to climb trees and small rocks, but it is able to climbs cliffs and buildings with ease. This is due to its body’s muscles being strong enough to lift itself up vertically so that it is able to climb upward on vertical-standing objects. Its body’s muscles are also powerful enough to move its body on its own accord, helping it slither across the ground without any arms or legs. Like any normal snake, Apep can effortlessly move across vertical surfaces, as well as jump from one place to the next. In most cases, Apophis can move across from surface to surface with just the strength of its muscles to get it from one place to the next. For this to happen, it has topnotch agility and balance that allows for it to be able to move effortlessly from place to place.
- Armored Skin:
- Generally speaking, snakes have rather tough and scaly skin that protects them from being easily injured by sharp things. In the case of Apep, it has skin that is durable and considerably hard to penetrate, especially with any type of sword. It can still be penetrated, but it will take a lot more effort from the other party in order to get a single cut into its skin. Comparatively, a person could easily say that Apophis’s scales are as tough as a dragon’s scales, if not a bit more tougher than that. Scales can also be easily regenerated, reversing any damage that may have been done to it while it was being attacked; however, it is only a cosmetic effect. Attacks that physically bring down its defenses or health will remain, where small cuts and bruises may just be patched up by the regrowth of scales. Its scales can also easily deflect things, like bullets, and can pack in heat or cool air depending on what it needs in order to not overheat or freeze to death.
- Enhanced Condition:
- Due to its size, Apophis is conditionally enhanced compared to the rest of its species as it is more adept in dealing with larger things around its size. For instance, Apep cannot be physically affected by the likes of normal viruses; it would take boosted and magical effects to actually make it sick. It agility, dexterity, durability, endurance, etc are also all enhanced to a supernatural level unlike that of its normal-sized brethren. This allows for Apophis to go about its day without getting extremely exhausted from having to move the size of its body. The enhanced condition of its body also allows to it be the proficient fighter that it is and able to protect its charmer from harm. However, the supernaturality of its body has even advanced its mind to the point it is able to telepathically communicate with its charmer. On the outside, Apep may just seem as that, a snake that is just rather large in size, but on the inside, it is much more than that.
- Volumetric Jaws:
- Naturally, snakes’ jaws can open to a wide and unimaginable size, allowing them to consume things that are twice their size. Apep’s jaws are able to contract and grow in size by unhinging its jaw so that it can open and extend out to the sides. This allows for it to be able to consume multiple people at once, rather than having to eat them one at a time and wasting its time. It also means that Apophis can grab hold of a large chunk of earth or building and tear it free from its place to cause collateral damage. Just like any other snake, Apep is also able to rehinge its jaw, putting it back into place like it was never dislocated from the start. The ability allows Apophis’s bite to be extensively harder since the force of the jaw can be changed with unhinging it. Making for a rather devastating effect, getting caught by these unhingable jaws is something that anyone would want to avoid.
- Omniphagy:
- Apophis’s size means that it’s more than likely capable of accidentally consuming things that it’s technically not supposed to eat. Due to the years of continuous ingestion of matter that was not organic or life sustaining toward it, has caused its digestive system to evolve. Apep is now capable of eating things that are considered man-made and would be unhealthy for an animal or reptilian to eat. Thus, things like consuming building materials, like bricks and plaster, would pass through it without considerably harming it. Even the consumption of natural poison does not affect the snake as it is so used to consuming inorganic matter that it’s unaffected. Matter that is consumed by Apophis can be in any shape or state of form, such as being a liquid, solid, or even as a gaseous substance. However, this doesn’t affect the amount that Apophis is able to consume, meaning it still can only consume the normal amount of its size before getting “full.”
- Prehensile Tongue:
- Typically, one would think that only frogs had tongues that were prehensile and usable to grab what was needed for them. However, Apep’s forked tongue is just as prehensile as a frog’s, allowing it to extend to long distances and latch onto victims or objects. Once latched onto an object, Apophis is able to drag it toward it so that it can gobble it up for a meal or keep it trapped. Apep is even able to wrap its tongue around victims or objects in order to hold them in place, and its tongue is pretty strong. Its tongue is rough and sharp, however, acting as a sort of natural weaponry that can be used injure those they grab a hold of. But, Apep uses it mostly to catch its food in order to make eating easier for itself due to the large size that its body is. Yet, its tongue can easily become damaged by using it too much and even though it’s immune to most things, it can still get sick.
- Seismic Sense:
- Apophis’s connection to the world allows it to be able to sense perfectly the vibrations that echo invisibly through the ground. As a result, Apep has become adept in sensing the seismic waves that are transferred through the earth and into all things. This allows it to be able to know when danger is approaching and to leave an area as quickly as possible if need be. It also allows it to be able to see in the darkness where no one else would be able to see, aside from the ones that are blinded. Seismic sense is associated with echolocation, where Apophis is able to “hear” through the waves in order to know things. In the case of Apep, because it is naturally blind, itself, this allows it to sense the structure of things that are in the vicinity of it. Ultimately, this allows it to see what is around it, so that it may efficiently and effective maneuver through its surroundings without hurting itself.
- Inaudible Movement:
- As large as Apophis is, it’s expected that it cannot move through its surroundings without being extremely noisy in getting anywhere. Since Apep creates so much sound from its movements, it has learned how to magically mute that sound so it is undetectable. Magi are still able to sense the magical presence that the massive snake emits, but otherwise are not able to hear it move around. This allows for Apophis to effectively go distances without being heard by enemies, but that doesn’t leave out the fact it sticks out like a sore thumb. One may not be able to hear Apep coming toward them, but they sure as hell can see when that massive reptile comes toward them. However, Apophis lets off seismic waves just as anything else does and, as a result, can be sensed moving this way as well. Even the actions that Apep takes are considered muted and the only way to be unmuted is if Apep unmutes itself.
