Used To Be A Fun House;; Leila and Jiyu

        Thing's changed in life that was something you could not avoid, even the gods were cursed to watch it go round in circles never ending. If something did not change? Than it went through it's final change of death, that was just the way thing's went and it was something she had now come to accept. Of course, it didn't matter if she accepted it or not anymore because her past refusal had already cost her the ultimate price, her own power had killed her and her best friend had given up everything to bring her back to life. Even if Leila did not remember what had happened, because the dead were gone and if her soul was drifting a mage like Jiyu would be aware of it, it was forever engraved in Jiyu's head part of the curse that summed up her existence for some time now. She had not changed because there was no reason for her to, even the death she had experienced than was blackness, instead she was pulled into her own realm, one she didn't even know she possessed. Eventually they had come and 'saved' her, but the damage they should have been trying to save her from was already done, something that they could never undo no matter how much they held or loved her. Jiyu had realized the truth of her existence, the fact she never made it out of that when Marshcal saved her, even if he had held her to his chest comforting her and cared for her afterwards, cared for injuries that normally only existed on the living. The only reason that she had not been buried the next morning? Was the dog demon blood laying dormant in her veins, the blood that had mutated likely the second he broke in, when she died. The conditions of her captivity had been perfect to form a spirit of vengeance and it had.

       "Jiyu!" the voice was Makoto's but it was farther away than Jiyu ever remembered it being before, the mage supposed she was still adjusting to her new magic created body. Elfin ears twitched as she gazed upon the other creature, the one of them that was still alive and smiled briefly. A pale clawed hand reached out and motioned for the small fox to climb onto her chest and lay there as they both stared up at the sky above them. Kazehime reached one hand up to it, frowning briefly as she closed her limb around the image of the sun. One day? That brilliant light would cease to function, Makoto would be cold in the ground only bones, everyone she knew would be gone and she'd be standing with the other deities in realms away from the normal one, because they weren't like mortals. That thought? Hurt the dark mage more than she cared to admit, because she did care about things and she knew that she would only come to care more since her magic was no longer out of control and keeping her from other's.

        "We'll go home soon Maka, you can go ahead, I'm just not ready to leave yet." when she sat up and the blanket she had covering herself fell you could see that she was clothed in her normal armor, most of her flesh left exposed to a chilly breeze that she barely felt. "See you back at the Inn, Jiyu." the kit spoke up and than ran off towards the town they had come from, the girl sitting up to fold her blanket. With a slight yawn she stretched her limbs, including her fluffy tail and finally fixed her long black hair so it covered her blue eye, leaving the green one exposed. "See you there kid, I just need to get some practice in." because she did have new abilities with the new body and embracing her real magic, so she needed to practice what she had. Once she had spoke Jiyu took a deep breath and the air around her new training area suddenly felt heavy and dangerous.

How was one suppose to mourn when they also had to get right back onto their feet.

The world was so big right now and for most people within it? The world would be huge forever, nothing would ever actually get any smaller because they would not last long enough to see it shrink, or to see everything and everyone thus eliminating the discovery for themselves. Jiyu however knew that she should enjoy the mystery of this large universe while it was still unique to her, because it was inevitable for a deity that as time passed, thing's got smaller because they saw more and more. Rejecting herself and trying to make the world look big forever? Would be dishonoring the memory of the girl who gave up her own life to make the body she now had her soul stuffed inside, an almost near replica of the one her own magic had destroyed. Even if Jiyu wanted to live in the past, frozen in time, she knew that it was impossible now, and she was not going to tarnish Leila's name by trying it, a second chance like this did not come a second time.

"Let's try what I retained first." the female spoke up, unaware of the new existence speeding towards her, green eye focused intently on some of the tree's in front of her. The nature of her magic? Had always been destructive, but much of it had become a straight up catastrophic force since her rebirth, if one wanted to call it that, she sure didn't. What did she call the moment when she felt warm flesh around her soul once more? A curse, it was a curse because it came at the price of her best friends life, a woman who loved her and gave up everything for her even though she had never asked. Even if she had to stay as a spirit forever and be visited by other's, it would have been better than Leila giving up her very life for her, but there was nothing she could do to make the girl take it back now.

Jiyu's anger swept through her and she lost control, suddenly everything she had been gathering inside her body and right around it, just exploded. Feeling the lapse in control, Jiyu hit her knee's, panting from the exertion of momentarily trying to take control back; She had gathered too much to control it, and now she was glad that Maka wasn't here to see this or get hurt by it. A black mist descended swiftly, moist against her flesh, but she knew it would feel like fire to most other thing's it touched, it would be cutting and painful, she only hopped no one was still around to fall victim. Of course if they were? It was their own stupid fault and she would let her inu take over, because wasn't that monster who she really was, the her that leila had given her life to save. When the eden mage did what she did, the girl had to realize the darkness inside was not going to go away, right?

"Well this suck's." when the mist cleared the land that had been around Jiyu no longer existed, there was a hole a few feet deep and she was standing on top of a white feather. The few tree's caught in the thankfully small range of her lapse of control? Had been reduced to piles of something like ash, Jiyu wasted no time in summoning the best breeze she could manage to spread the grains of her destruction to the four winds. "But what distracted me?" she had managed to do that spell before without failing so why did she fail this time? It was hard to figure out as she tried to safely channel the rest of the dark energy that had pooled inside of her, clearly she didn't want a surplus in her when she tried for go two.

Than the short woman turned around and opened her eyes in shock, seeing someone with a dragon's tail, horns and fox ears standing just inside the ring of her destruction. Had they been spared in the brief second when she tried to regain control? It had to be, because Jiyu knew no other reason her magic would not tear someone apart. When the girl hit the ground, Jiyu expressed a brief moment of concern in her eyes, but than realized the taller female might not have been spared after all. "Hey, tell me, what does it feel like? Are you sick or did my magic do that?" the female walked right up to the taller woman and looked down at her with a tilted head, exposed green eye gleaming while her lips set themselves in concern. It honestly seemed like the mage was caught between getting off the other girls pain and being genuinely concerned for her well being. "Your not dying right? I wasn't trying to kill anyone today."

But as she kept talking her tail started wagging as if there was something to be happy about, she stopped it with her hand but looked confused at it. In fact? Her whole body was extremely giddy for some reason and she didn't understand it. "I'm an inugami and I'm a mage, who are you?" Jiyu put her hand on the side of her own face and tilted her head as she remained bent over slightly, gazing down at the hurting girl. "Sorry if I did this, though I don't think you expect help since you just saw that my magic is fairly destructive but I've never seen someone react to it like this before are you a priestess or something. Oh but I do have a room in town and some pain killers in my drawer if you decide you need or want help. Whatever." she still hadn't given the other girl her name, but Jiyu didn't think of her own name as important anymore and it didn't sum up who she was, which was what the other girl had asked for.

She was beginning to feel the tax on her new body from channeling such a large amount of energy. While her old body could have done it with little issue? That was a body that had grown up with her soul, channeled magic since she was very young, this one was practically new born still and using such a large amount of magic with that amount of focus, it just was a very heavy burden on her young form. The small girl started showing some minor signs of fatigue, her body beginning to secrete sweat as her tongue lulled out of her mouth and dripped while she panted. Jiyu reached out her hand and the blanket she had folded earlier flew into her hand, half destroyed by the explosion of her magic earlier it now served as a very effective rag to wipe away the drool generated by her panting. Hopefully the girl in front of her would not ask too many questions, she couldn't help being a dog.

      "It's my magic now, I have to control it or I'll hurt someone, not that I have an issue harming other's, it's just I don't want to do it against my own will." Jiyu knew she was capable of something like murder if given the right incentive. As pitiful as it sounded? If she was told that she could get Leila back by killing anyone expect Marschal? She would probably do it without second though and not regret it if the person turned out to be lying to her, of course if they lied to her she would kill them too. Luckily ever since she was given this body and a new life, her acceptance of her dark magic, it aided to keep her passive and largely prevent her from preforming acts of malicious violence. Someone had already died against her wishes and she did not want that to happen again. Even if she had the hope Leila was alive and a few facts to support that the Eden Mage could be reborn, Jiyu didn't think about those because than she would search for her friend only to be let down time and time again. When Leila gave her this new life? Jiyu was sure the other girl didn't want her to spend all of it searching out someone who might not even exist anymore.

      "I told you who I am you just weren't listening, I'm an Inugami which is a canine diety of vengeance, and a mage." And she really hated explaining herself twice, but something kept her tongue from uttering that, it was strange honestly. Normally? She would have just found an excuse to leave once she saw her almost victim was alright. Jiyu realized that for some reason her new body did not want to walk away from this very tall girl. Slowly the inugami started considering if she had seen this female before, if there was some reason she did not want to part with her so swiftly. Why did it feel like a piece of the puzzle was missing here? What was even more troubling it that it felt like she knew what was missing, but that could be because something was always missing.

      She looked forward to the introduction, but than a golden light flashed in her eyes leaving the light sensitive canine momentarily blinded, a deep growl of discontent rising from her throat at this. Jiyu covered her face with her hands and rubbed her eyes, accidentally tucking her hair behind her ears, leaving both eyes exposed, the blue one opening alongside it's green twin. Once she could see? It only took seconds for her to growl maliciously at the cream colored princess in front of her, locking gazes and letting hatred burn in her eyes. "YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY FLETA!?" the female did not shout it, she snarled and growled the words, a dark mist surrounding her body leaving way to her canine ears, her fur outfit and canine limbs, malice burning in her gaze towards the child as her red demonic markings appeared swiftly, claws bleeding red.

       "You Shouldn't Even Be Here, You Can't Be Here, Leila Isn't Alive Anymore! There's No One To Summon You, Why Are Insisting On Trying To Make Me Insane!" The short girl than lunged, wind whipping around the clearing and dark energy becoming very concentrated around the canine. Quiet clearly? She believed Fleta was yanking her chain about something, than it looked as if something dawned on the inugami. "Wait I'm right, Fleta isn't here, she can't be, illusion. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!" and with that she lunged for the reborn Leila instead. Jiyu was rather slow on the uptake or refused to admit it, but clearly she was upset and her assertive side was the one in control, a face that was next to impossible to reason with, expect for bargaining in blood. One could only hope Leila's spirits had a way of convincing Jiyu to the girls identity, because right now the short canine did not believe it and she was nearly rabid.

Some people considered who they were to be the parts of their name and at one time the dog had been the same way, she was a free wind princess if one were to go that far, her name suited her. However as time went on she had changed as she grew up and she couldn't even see it for herself until one day she looked into the mirror and realized she could not recognize the little girl who started seeking magic as only a means to hold onto her mother's memory, she peered so deep into her reflection for hours but the person she knew was never the one staring back. Instead of the child with one eyes covered in an angelic white dress with ebony hair that rivaled the night? She saw an unkempt wild beast with a face split by odd eyes, and a disposition she had no control over whose magic controlled her. Jiyu didn't want to simply introduce herself so easily by that name, because until she could see her own reflection and it matched what she had in her head, she had to question if it was really her looking back into her eyes.

     One way a person could learn about themselves was going home and while she was not comfortable returning to Peace Village especially not alone? Jiyu had a second home in Rose Garden with Black Rose, she even had a surrogate mother of sorts there, Izayuki had convinced her it was alright to be a demon and for a while she had recognized herself, maybe the guild master could preform that magic again. Explaining that she had left for the good of everyone thought? Would not be the easiest thing to do, especially now that no one could exactly collaborate the misery her magic had caused expect for Makoto. Every day they traveled closer to the place she called home, the girl tried harder and harder not to think about anything involving herself and the way her new body had come about.

      Fleta showing up and suggesting the new creature standing before them was actually Leila? Ran a new knife down every single of those wounds, it ripped them open anew and Jiyu didn't want to deal with it, she would run away if she could, run like she always did. "Get Out Of My Head, You Can't Know About The Pumpkins Because Your Not The Real Fleta!" she didn't want to believe it because than she had not went looking for her best friend and left her alone, something she never wanted done to herself. Even if this was Leila she couldn't be blamed, she had no way of knowing her friend was coming back! Jiyu shook her head viciously as if she truly believed they had some sort of physic link playing around in her memories. Honestly it would be devastating if someone had someone learned everything Leila knew about her.

      It was only the scent of Yuki's entrance that caused paused to the canine's rapid and vicious lunging at things. Fleta and Harpea? Did not have a deep enough connect with Jiyu to reach past the assertive face when it was in control, but Yuki had been around longer and thus her scent caused the beast to turn quizzical for a few seconds, glancing around in an attempt to find the other girl, but by the time she realized Yuki's location it was already too late. There was no way a physic link had so quickly learned of her weak point and it was not something she actively kept in her own head, she didn't think of it unless she had to tell someone like Leila and Yuki. At the very least? The dragoness was real, the grip on her tail was absolute and even if she struggled against it and whirled to lunge at Yuki...

       she caved before she could do any damage, panting beyond her control and letting out a small moan as her body hit it's knee's, claws digging into the ground as her eyes screwed shut. Even if the hold was firm and unmoving? It was strong enough, plenty of stimulation to scramble her head and make her squirm on the ground, trying to get enough control to glare at the icy female. "I Watched Her DIE Yuki! Heck My Life Is Proof It Happened, This Body Is Proof!" Believing that Yuki was the same soul, that wasn't hard, only one person could be so pretentious and bitchy without pissing her off. "L.. Ll. Ll. ll Let............ Go." the dark mage was squirming on the ground now, rolling about and whimpering as Yuki's hold on her tail held.
