    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

It was morning and Kite was once again in the cargo bay of his ship and as per usual he wasn't simply relaxing in the slightest. He was putting himself through the paces once again in an intense training session. However this wasn't his typical physical workout. No this time he was getting to work on his magic abilities and limitations. He was standing near the airlock doors that are closed and across the way near the bulk head was a floating lacrima, its function was a single one. Kite would launch an attack at the lacrima and it would send it back at the new dragon slayer. Kite would start to suck in air, filling his lungs to the brim with air and the light with in his magic container began to release light into his inflated lungs as well. ”White Dragon's Roar!“ he would shout and release a blast of condensed light from his mouth in the form of a beam and in seconds it would smash into the crystal. Instead of being destroyed like most targets the lacrima began to spin and now radiated white light, his dragon slaying light and once it finally stopped rotating it would release a blast of light exactly like the one Kite shot at it. The blast of light would approach Kite an alarming rate but his eyes were focused as he would adjust his stance so his body's center of gravity was lower in order to properly base against the blast. Just as the blast was close enough he would put his arms up and out pressing them against the reflected roar attack. He could feel the force of the blast pushing him back, his muscles were bulging against the weight of the attack. The metal grates didn't give his boots any sort of help with grip and he would find himself being pushed towards the door. At this rate he will end up doin damage to himself and the ship and he couldn't stop it. ”EDI... Open the door.“ he would order his AI in between breaths as his struggle with the blast was about over. The airlock doors would slide open and Kite would with all his might push against the blast and rotate to the side letting it fly past him and out the door into the open sky surrounding the guild hall.

Kite would laugh slightly before he would fall back and land back first on metal grated floor and look up to the top of his ship panting from the work out. "Might I suggest refraining from doing that inside the ship. Next time you might accidentally blow it up." Kite would chuckle, ”If i did it outside of the ship I could be pushed off the edge.“ he said in a serious voice but the response from EDI would catch him off guard, "better then blowing up the ship." Kite's eyes would widen a bit ”If that were to happen there would be no one to captain my ship.“ There would be along pause before she would pop back up "At that point don't you mean my ship?" Kite would shake his head but before he could the sound of foot steps from outside his ship could be heard due to his heightened sense or hearing. Kite was already facing the door when the boy gingerly began his ascent up the ramp. "Mr. Kite, letter for you." Kite held out his hand and took hold of the letter before the boy released he would read it outloud. ”Dear White Dragon of Sabertooth, Your existence has not gone unnoticed. My master, Elder Dragon Xiuhcoatl has asked my to send this letter you on his behalf. He wishes to challenge your skills as a dragon slayer. Come to the Sky tower and let loose a mighty roar to signal us, that is unless you are too much of a coward to answer my Master's call.“ The letter was not signed. Not many know of my transition from Demon Slayer to Dragon Slayer. Who ever it is must have tabs on Eosphoros, myself or my becoming a Dragon slayer some how tipped this master off. That wasn't the only thing on Kite's mind, a small bit of rage had built up from being called a coward and with a tight grip the paper was smashed into a ball and tossed to the ground. "I do not know who this master is but I think I am going to pay him a visit.“ He would say but rethink his decision for a moment and would smirk. Since he had been gone there had been several new members in Sabertooth, he decided he would drag one of these rookies along with him on a job. ”EDI spin up the engine and set course for the Sky tower. Got some business to attend to there.“ Kite would begin to exit the ship walking down the ramp and would look back at the ship, ”We should be expecting company. Make sure she is ready by the time I get back.“ He wouldn't give her a chance to answer before leaving the docking station and entered Sabertooth's main guild hall.

A few steps into the tavern area of the guild and he could already hear how lively the place was. A snicker would escape Kite's lips when he thought of how quickly this busy guild hall could have had a surprise in the form of Kite's ship blowing up, with some collateral damage to the guild. With a shake of his head Kite was now refocused on the whole point he was here, he needed to find a member to tag along with him on his job. His eyes would scan every person in the guild but one caught his eye. A girl sitting at the bar with purple colored hair and wearing a black cloak like shroud, he knew this girl or rather knew of her. She was rather new so there wasn't a lot of information he was aware of. What he did know however was that her name was Selah and she had an interesting ability to speak with dragons. ”A dragon whisperer... yup. Found my partner.“ Kite would walk over to the girl and with a strong hand would grab the back of her shroud and lift her out of her seat. As he was holding her up with and outstretched arm he would smile ”Dragon Whisperer. we got a job. You're coming along for the ride.“ he would say as he turned and carried her through the guild hall and would only put her down at the ramp leading up to his ship.

An average day for the Bell family heir would have consisted of lazying around and being pampered by family servants, or going a day long shopping spree, or other rich people things. However, Selah Bell had left her family in search for a more active and adventurous life style, joining the Sabertooth guild after years of exploring and doing odd jobs around Fiore. Now she had the chance to hone her magic out on actual jobs and during her spare time. And that is exactly what she was doing now, standing in the mountains outside of Ace of Spades, two wild beasts infront of her. She had no idea what they were but the stood on four legs like a wolf, we're as big as a person each, and were covered in glowing blue spots. They growled and snarled at the purple haired woman wearing a black cloak over her body, who was already preparing to attack them. They charged at her, but Selah was ready. Her hand quickly moved up to her temple as she recited the words to one of her newer spells. "Memory Make: Moonlight Greatsword!" She shouted, A incredibly large sword made of stone and crystal forming in her free hand. She then moved her other hand down to wield the stupendously massive sword with two hands, lifting it up and swinging hard as the two beasts reached her. The sword made contact with the side of the first beasts hide, throwing it into the other causing them both to crash into a nearby boulder.

The two beasts snarled as they stood up and shook off, the smaller of the two now having a large gash in its side from where the sword made it's collision. They both charged at her, moving two different directions- one moving to Selah's left, and one to her right. Selah held her sword sideways, moving one hand to the middle of the blade where she held it tight. As the first beast reached her she slammed the sword down, catching the beast and throwing it into the other one on her side. They both yelped and ran, Selah setting her sword against the boulder they had be flung into earlier. Now for training her more powerful spells. She placed on finger on the ground and one on her temple. "Memory Make: Target Range." A serious of large stone pillars sprung from the ground, each one holding a hay stuffed target dummy on its top. They were at increasing distance away from Selah, the farthest one being 200 feet away. Selah placed her finger on her temple once more, her eyes trained on the closest target first. She focused her magic energy into her mouth, her breathing steady as she focused on the spell. After few minutes Selah removed her finger and opened her mouth to say "Dovah Lu: Zolkot Rein!" A burst of golden energy bust forth and obliterated the first target- aswell as a good quarter of the tower it sat on.

The purple haired mage repeated this process, her shots spot on until she got to about 100 feet away where she started to miss. By the time she had reached the final target 200 feet away, Selah was not only exhausted but very, very thirsty. What better time to relax and grab a drink then after a thorough work out? And so Selah found herself back in her room in the guild hall, fast asleep on her bed. It wasn't until a few hours later that she woke up completely refreshed and ready to continue her training... After a drink of course. She headed into the main hall and hopped over the bar counter, quickly grabbing everything she needed to make her own Frankensteins monster of wine. Once everything was done she hoped back over the bar and stretched, about to take a drink of her monstrous concoction. Unfortunately she was quickly picked up and carried off by the neck of her cloak.

"H-Hey what the hell!" Selah yelped as she was told that the stranger who had picked her up was taking her on a job. Before she get any other words out she was already being carried away from the coutner, a sour look on her face. "My drink..." The purple haired mage said glumly, crossing her arms as she was carried off. By the time she had been set back down, Selah had managed to get herself interested in the job. She had been called 'Dragon Whisperer' when she had been picked up, which told the 20 year old woman that it had something to do with dragons. What she didn't know is that she was going to go on this job with a Dragon Slayer, just like most of the jobs she had been on while in Sabertooth.

"Okay wise guy, what's the big idea just carrying me off like that? If you wanted me to help you out with a job you should have just asked." Selah said after turning her arms and looking up at the taller mage. "Not that im turning it down of course, if it has anything to do with dragons like you subtly implied then I most certainly want to take part in it." Selah would wait to ask what sort of job it was later if the stranger didn't tell her before then. It would be nice to go out on a job again, the last job she went on was out to the desert village to retrieve something an ancient burial crypt... that was possibly the most unpleasant trip ever, she felt like she was melting on that job. "What's your name anyways, I can't think of anything clever to call you just yet." She said, poking jabs at her own tendency to give people nicknames before learning their actual name. Like how she calls their guild master Fred 'King Grumpy Buns' instead of using his name. Off in the distance a dragons roar could be heard, coming from the sky tower which wasn't very far away from the Sabertooth Guild hall. Hell, Selah could run to it if she wanted to (but she didn't no point in doing that when there are faster ways there.)

Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

It was unusual for Kite to do something so bold as this, to literally pluck someone from their chair and draft them for a job but he couldn't help but accept how humorous this was and mostly due to her initial reaction in the form of a yelp and a question. Of course Kite didn't answer the question directly when he had told her that he was taking her on this assignment but it could come off as that by the timing. As Kite turned to exit the guild hall with his "partner" he couldn't help but hear her upset about the drink that she was leaving behind. He would make a mental note to pay her back for it, while he didn't quite care if she was interested in the job he did understand how it felt to have plans suddenly change, such as a day of relaxation becoming a work day. Luckily she didn't really make it difficult for him to carry her to his ship and must to his fortune she didn't really attack him for his method of selecting her for the job. She did however raise her voice and came at him verbally lecturing him on how he should have simply asked instead of him plucking her like a vegetable from a garden bed, but in the same lecture sprouted her acceptance of the job and even went as far as to mention that anything involved with dragons was of interest to her. Kite would chuckle after hearing the lecture, ”I am sorry but I didn't really have time to discuss this.“ he would say before handing her the letter that he had received which issued a challenge for him to climb up the sky tower and meet this Xiuhcoatl. ”As you can see I have been challenged by a dragons and I am pressed for time. If i were to get an answer it would have to be here and so I could leave without hesitation.“ he said to her defending his actions a bit more. ”but it would seem that you have given me your answer so climb aboard.“ Kite would turn to begin his boarding the tailspin but stopped when he realized that he had not answered her question regarding what his name was, in truth he was sort of surprised. He was around long enough to where his name would be recognizable, but inspite of that he didn't address the lack of her knowing who he was and would just introduce himself, ”Right. The name is Kite Wilhelm. Former Demon of Sabertooth.“ he would say. He was no longer in possession of his demon slayer magic and refused to use the lacrima he had empowered so as far as he was concerned he was no longer going to claim that title. ”You can tell me your name once we are on board. We are running short on time.“ he would tell her as he entered his ship and would push the panel to pull the ramp closed behind her and once she was inside far enough EDI would close the sliding air lock doors and would speak. "Welcome aboard Kite and Guest. shall I take off?" EDI would ask Kite as soon as the air tight door was sealed. ”Yes EDI.“

Kite would turn to his guildmate and would hold out his arms, ”Welcome aboard the tailspin my ship...“ he would say just before the downward force created by the ship rapidly gaining altitude could be felt but that would be the only bit of force that would be felt for the rest of the trip, The ship propelling forward would cause no excess force once at the correct altitude.”and my home.“ Kite headed towards a metal stair case that would lead them both up into the winding catwalk that went up into the upper level of the cargo hold. ”This is the cargo bay, the largest area of the ship.“ he would hand his arm over the rail and point towards the back of the Cargo bay where a small bulkhead door was located, ”Through there is the infirmary, passenger dorm and lounge area. There is also a stair case that leads up deck right by the engine room.“Once they hit one level of the catwalk they would scale up one more set of stairs leading to the highest point of the catwalk which came out on the upper deck of the ship. They would find themselves in junction point where the foredeck ended with an open bulkhead door that separated the foredeck from the dining area, which was their destination. While pointing to the right he would explain more, ”this is the foredeck, up that small set of stairs there is the cockpit. Along the corridor are the bunks for the crew.“ he would turn his head to the dining area, ”Here is the dining area. as he name states this is where the meals take place. oh and through that bulkhead is the corridor that connects the dining area to the engine room. Stairs to the right lead down to the lounge and dorm area.“ Kite would first walk into the dining area to pull a seat out for the girl and then would walk to the counter top where several pantry like cubbies were. A smile would come across his face as he pulled out a plastic crate full of booze, ”We don't got much time until we make it to the Sky tower and I do believe I owe you a drink so if you can't wait until we get back to the guild hall I can make you one now.“ he would carry the crate over to her to let her see what he had instock, but this wasn't going to be just a time to relax and be merry, there was somethings they needed to discuss. ”Listen. I don't know all that much about you but what I do know is that you have a lot more experience with dragons then me. If this was demons I would have less of a hard time. Demons are my specialty, Dragons are new creatures to me.“ He pulled out one of the bottles and open it but wouldn't drink it right away, ”Do you have any insight on what I might expect from dragons regarding their behavior? I have only ever met one so I don't have anything to compare that experience with.“ The tone in Kite's voice would change before he would take a swing of his drink. It wasn't easy for him to admit his short comings on the topic of dragons despite being a dragon slayer. As a demon slayer he had years worth of dealings with them and knew more about them then most humans could ever, but when it came to dragons he was ironically in the dark.

Selah nodded as she was given Kite's name, stepping into The Tailspin and quickly marveling at the built in AI it possessed. When the initial force of take-off pressed down on Selah's body, she stood strong without even flinching. This was nothing compare to riding a dragon, which Selah had done a few times before while doing jobs. She was impressed by the size of the ship, though so far the layout bothered her a little. Certainly wouldn't be the way she would have designed it, infirmary and guest quarters behind the cargo bay? What if the cargo bay was at max capacity, how would you get in then? Regardless it looked impressively built, and seemed like it could hold its own in a battle. The tour of the ship was nice as they sped towards Sky Tower, and when Selah was offered a drink she turned it down. "I think Ill pass on the drink actually, I prefer to take matters of the draconic variation a little more seriously. Thanks for the offer though, I appreciate it." She said with a smiled, before remembering that she herself hadn't given Kite her name yet. "Oh and by the way, my name's Selah, nice to meet you."

When she was told that Kite didn't know much about dragons, Selah jumped on the chance to begin explaining. "Well, Dragons are complex creatures to say the least. The first thing you have to know when encountering a dragon is to not instantaneously assume it is hostile. Most Dragons are territorial creatures and will not attack unless they're attacked first. Younger dragons may lash out, aswell as smaller ones. Larger dragons however tend to be calm and gentle unless they're injured in some way. The second thing to note is that if a dragon is only vocalizing through its roar then someone or something has either trespassed on their territory, or has attacked them. In this case, It is best to stay away unless you're positive that you wont be noticed." Selah said with a nod. "Other then that, there really isnt much else you need to know that isn't self explanatory upon your first time meeting one. Hell, if they know how to speak and human language then they could make great allies in battle." Selah finished her sentence as they arrived at Sky Tower. The wind was howling at the top of the massive beige pillar, the walls of the mountains surrounding proving to only make the force of gale more intense. The purple haired mage turned to Kite and nodded, giving him that she was ready for him to let out a roar to call down the servants of Xiuhcoatl. She watched as the dragon slayer stood still for a moment, drawing energy before he looked up and released a blast of blinding light. It wasnt long after that two large crystal dragons flew down from above the clouds, landing infront of the duo that had taken the job with grace and percision.

"Drem yol lok Sot Dovah Kriid." The first of the dragons said, its voice low and imposing, echoing through the valley that the Sky Tower was built in. The first of the dragons was the larger of the two, the crystal that adorned it scales shining brilliantly in the sunlight with a deep purple hue and small white marks that made it appear as if you were staring into the cosmos itself.

"Drem yol lok Kiir do Dovah." The second dragon said, its voice muffled as if someone were speaking behind glass. The smaller dragons looked gentler, its crystal scales smoother and its features not as jagged. Its brilliant scales, blue as the sky, shined brilliantly in the pleasent light of the day. The two dragons slowly lowered their heads for the challenge humans to climb upon. Selah smiled, climbing ontop of the blue dragons back, glad that its scales were much smoother then the others. The purple haired mage looked over to Kite as he climbed onto the larger of the two dragons, unsure how he would take his first ride on a dragon.

"Hold on tight dragon boy, you're gonna need all the support you can get!" Selah said before the dragons took flight, rocketing into the air and away from the sky tower. Wind rushed passed Selah as the dragons easily reached a top speed of 80 miles per hour, her hair waving wildly behind her as she soared through the sky. A boistrous laugh erupted from the girl, having the time of her life on the back of a dragon. She loved flying, she just loved feeling the wind on her skin as she rose into the air carefree. It wasn't long until the two of them broke past the clouds, rising above them to a beautiful sight. A sea of clouds enveloped in the warm light of the sun, restful and unbroken.

The two dragons continued to rise into the air, further and further. The air got thinner and colder, making it harder to get in oxygen. It wasn't long until they landed on a large island in the sky and threw Selah and Kite off before taking to the sky once more and dissapearing. Before the two mages now sat an imposingly large dragon, its head long and adorned with sharp spikes. Its scales were as black as night, and its eyes glowed purple. The imposing beast looked down at the two mages infront of it, an analyzing look filling its eyes.

"Zu'u lost zent hi wah drun hiif Sot Dovah Kriid, dreh hi kuz zey fah mey?" The large dragon said, its words almost drowned out by the wind. It shook its head in dissapointment before leaning down towards Kite and inspecting him carefully. "Zu'u lost nun hin fen, hi lost eim dii jur ahrk hind wah gevahzen wah zey julro mul. Rinik pruzah ruz, hi ahrk kiir do dovah kent geblaan thiik jur. nunon ven wah lif los wah geblaan niin, uv unt." Xiuhcoatl said, raising its foot before bringing it back down with a thundering stomp. Two dark portal opened up beneath Selah and Kite, quickly sucking them in and transporting them to the first challenge. "Lost dremsil mah."

Selah and Kite were dropped into a massive circular arena filled with a warm orange glow created by molten lava coursing behind the walls, only visible through the many cracks in the stone caused by the heat. The floor of the Arena was covered in large holes that increased in frequency towards the center of the room where a large red crystal remained. In Selah's hand was a note that described the challenge.

"We have to complete eight challenges-" Selah said, pausing to open the note. "The first challenge is the challenge of fire. All we have to do is withstand the heat of the room and touch the pillar in the center, that doesn't sound too bad." As she finished speaking, many of the holes that adorned the room erupted with flame that reached the ceiling, the one nearest the challengers nearly burning the paper in Selah's hand.

    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite’s offer for a drink was politely turned down by his guest. He was slightly taken aback by the refusal but he didn't hold it against the dragon whisperer after all he focus was on the mission or more accurately it was fully focused on the dragons that they would inevitably encounter on this day. ”No problem, more for me.“ he would say as he took a sip out of a mug that was positioned at a nearby table. As he swallowed the girl who he drafted for the job introduced herself as Selah. It was good of her to share this information with him but that wouldn't stop him from calling her by the nickname he had already chosen for her but she didn't need to know that tid bit, he would make that be a surprise when he actually had the need to address her by a name.

After his confession of having very minimal experience with dragons Selah began to explain the general nature of dragons. She explained that they are complex creatures and typically don't attack unless attacked first with the exception of younger and smaller dragons which have a tendency to do so. While his experience was minimal he was surprised she hadn't mentioned particular dragons that tend to hold themselves in higher regard like Eosphoros the dragon who taught him his slayer magic. ”Good to know.“ Aside from some slide conversations the rest of the trip to the Sky tower was generally quiet but upon their arrival the howling winds overtook the quiet as the boarding ramp lowered to add a metallic bang as the ramp made contact with the stone floor of the tower. Kite looked up the ramp ”Alright take her up and park her nearby EDI.“ he would pause and look up at the sky half expecting to sense dragons waiting for his roar. ”No telling if the dragons will think to attack and I don’t think Tailspin will survive another dragon attack of any level.“ “Yes Kite.” Edi would respond quickly and would gain altitude while closing the ramp and would descend down the tower to find a clearing to land. He would reach back and adjust his rose saber on his back before completely focusing on the matter at hand.

He would glance over at Selah before targeting the sky once more this time he would inhale deeply sucking in as much air as he could muster all the while letting his magic concentrate in his throat and with a mighty force Kite released a beam of pure white light into the air ”White Dragon’s Roar!“. As the beam of light shot up into the sky it pierced through the clouds overhead and caused them to disperse completely from view. The blast slowly faded from view as it rocketed into the sky. Only about a minute passed and coming down the opening from above the clouds were two dragons! Kite wasn’t sure what sort of challenge awaited them so Kite kept his stance combat ready but didn’t give any reads that he was going to fight. ”Well what do ya know. It worked.“ He would say while he continued to watch the dragons lower themselves to where they were. He couldn’t help but notice a lack of malicious intent that caused him to subconsciously lower his guard even as the dragons came face to face with the sabers. The first dragon to reach them looked into Kite’s eyes and spoke in a language that the Dragon slayer did not recognize but despite having a lack of translation he was able to figure it was a greeting of some sort. The second dragon addressed Selah similarly however ended it with a different word. The dragon used it’s head to motion for Kite to climb up on his back and without much hesitation Kite did so, mounting the back of the dragon as Selah had. She called over to Kite telling him to hold on tight. ”Take it easy Dragon Whisperer. Not my first time riding a dragon.“ he said as he flashed back to his time with Eosphoros who took him on a tour of his planet.

Like a jet plane the dragons took to the sky higher and higher they went to an altitude where the air grew too thin to breathe normally but soon the destination was made clear, a floating island in the sky. While it was amazing to see at the same time his guild was a floating castle so he was use to such feats, ”A whole island.. Not bad.“ he would say as they went in for a landing and almost immediately as their talons touched the ground they shook Kite and Selah off causing them to crash to the ground. Kite was already considering lashing an insult and possibly an attack but stopped when he realized that the two sabers weren’t alone. Before them was gigantic Dragon, around the size of Eosphoros, though a hair on the scrawny side compared to the light dragon. The dragon who must have been none other than Xiucoatl looked Kite over and began to speak again in the same tongue as the other two. ”Sorry I don’t speak dragon wanna try that again in human tongue?“ he said to the dragon crossing his arms glaring back at the dragon. Instead of complying with Kite’s request the dragon would speak again after looking the dragon slayer over closer before stomping it’s foot on the ground opening a portal in the floor sucking both mages in. They were in another room now with holes littering the floor and a familiar smell filled the area, it was scorched stone and soot with a lingering heat. Selah some how found a note which had a list of eight challenges that they would have to face during their stay. Selah would share what the first challenge would consist of, withstanding the heat and touch the pillar in the center. ”Easy enough. Let’s do this.“ Kite went to walk forward but a small rumble halted his process. Shooting up like a geyser, a plume of flames shot up from the hole in the ground nearly scorching them. Kite put a hand on his guildmate’s shoulder and pulled her back as he stepped back assuring that neither of them were caught in the blaze but unfortunately the paper was reduced to ash now. ”Those are some hot flames. Haven’t felt flames this hot in a long time. You alright?“ he asked her checking to see if she was scorched at all, upon confirmation Kite made his move. Kite jumped over the hole that was just lit and landed on a space between two holes but the hole in front of him lit a blaze causing him to recoil a bit. Kite let the light shine from his hands and threw his hands in front of him, ”White Dragon’s wing attack.“. Upon uttering the two words two streams of light crashed into the pillars before him. ”Selah go!“ he said revealing he cleared a path before them for the moment but he wasn’t sure how long that would remain the case.

As she watched Kite reveal the path to go, she half knelt to the ground, one leg extanded back. In her head she began to quickly formulate a plan. This would consume alot of magic, that was for sure. Luckily, Selah had prepared. She had an assortment of magical goodies in her bag provided to her by the Sabertooth guild. It was mostly just a bunch of Lacrima, but those could always come in hand. Before the fire could return, Selah brought her finger up to her temple and uttered to words "Memory Make: Volo Orbis!". As she did, a thin white magic circle appeared over her chest (More specifically, above where her heart is), and intricate black spiraling patterns worked their way down her legs. Selah Sprang forward, quickly moving forward at a speed of twenty six miles per hour. Normally she would only be able to move half this speed, but Volo Orbis could completely double the casters speed if pushed.

As Selah landed, she placed both hands on the scorched ground. The heat from the stone burned her fingers, but she didn't remove them. "I call upon the king of the Jaegon people to enlist a member of his royal guard to aid me in battle!" She called out. The ground split and burst, lava starting to pour of it as a large and brutish figure emerged from the charred ground. It's body was made from black crystals formed from the lava of its home land, and its mid-section was open to reveal a glowing molten core. Its face resembled that of a demons, the features highlighted with flowing red magma.

"I am at your command." It said, its voice seeming to not be coming from its body but from all around Selah and Kite. "Help us get to that crystal in the centre of the room, if we get touched by this fire were screwed." Selah commanded. Almost without thinking, the Knight lept into action, it's body starting to absorb the fire of the two pillars infront of Kite. It wasn't technically eating the fire, so the magical properties that bound it didn't apply here. "Come on dragon boy, we've got work to do!" Selah called out before reaching into her bag and taking out a deep blue lacrima that seemed to be coursing with power. She throught it, then tapped her finger to her temple. The lacrima stopped in the air, the burst into a massive explosion of water- clearing a path for Selah and Kite to get through.

Selah lept through with her magically enhanced speed, the Molten Knight following her after Kite began to follow. She was stopped by another pillar of fire, which she turned to command the Molten Knight to help get rid of. Before she could utter any words however, she felt scorching flames on her back and her body get flung downwards. She slammed into the ground, her head turned to the side. In the corner of her eye, she could see something huge. A large dragon like beast, with a body completely engulfed in fire. Selah looked closer to try and get a better assessment on the monster. It was a Wyrm, a close relative to dragons. It had no limbs or wings, instead resembling a giant snake. The end of its flaming tail was wrapped around Selah's body, her skin burning greatly as she tried to work her way free.

"S-Shit! Kite, do something! I can't use my magic, my arms are pinned down!" Selah screamed out, the Wyrm's grasp tightening on Selahs body. The Molten Knight began to help, a massive pillar of Lava firing from its abdomen and striking the Wrym in the head. This however, had no effect. The Wyrms flame coating made it naturally resistant to fire, meaning the Knight would be of no use here.

    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite’s spell  travelled through the pillar of flames cutting them down a few sizes but his call for Selah to move seemed to not phase her or rather not in the way he had intended for it to come across. Kite watched as she pressed the tips of her fingers against her temple and spoke a phrase, but to Kite it sounded more like an incantation of sorts and he would be proven correct as at the end of her chant a white magic circle formed on her chest marking the spot where her heart would be located and from this circle black streams of what looked like magic circuits began to flow down her legs and stopped at her feet. ”Magic circuits created by her memory make magic. Such a spell is usually used to boost physical attributes in some way. “The next thing Kite knew Selah sprang forward in the what Kite thought was the direction of the crystal which acted as the current objective of their challenge. However she stopped a great deal shorter stopping where the ground was still scorched from the pillar of fire that shot up from it just moments ago. The scent of burning skin flowed to his location and he realized her hand was burning at the touch. Kite was about to voice his concern but his words never left his mouth as the memory make mage uttered another chant and a plume of magma shot up from the ground and a large figure came from the split in the ground and now stood before Selah who was still ahead of Kite. ”Neat trick.“ he said out loud as he looked over the knight who seemed to be made of obsidian, glass made from cooled lava. She told the knight of the situation and it seemed he was willing to aid them in this endeavour. It was good to hear, this fire was troublesome for sure.

In a semi serious manner she told Kite, who she referred as dragon boy to hurry due to them having work to do at the same time he saw her pull out a blue colored orb that Kite recognized instantly, it was an elementally charged Lacrima colored in a deep blue signifying it was a water lacrima.  The lacrima burst upon being thrown by the woman and Kite watched as the water swept through the area before them clearing the flames with the water from the lacrima. ”Nice trick.“ he commented, a different route then what he would have done himself, he would have gave luck a chance to see if he could dodge the pillars of flames after taking a bit of time to see if there was any sort of pattern to it. Selah raced across the now cleared path using her enhanced speed to create a fair amount of distance between them and so Kite began to follow running at a brisk pace to try to catch up and was followed by her knight. What occurred next happened so quick Kite’s reaction was late. A pillar of fire erupted from a hole in the ground but that wasn’t all that came up. Selah was smacked down to the ground by a Wyrm made out of fire. Before he could react the creature wrapped its tail around her torso pinning her arms to her sides burning her skin enough to force her to call out to Kite for help. A scowl came across Kite’s face and he lit his magical aura shining a bright light. Kite darted towards the Wyrm with light concentrating on his hands and streaming as he travelled through the air. ”White Dragon’s Wing Attack“ and he slammed them into the base of the tail, below the area that was holding Selah. The tail holding her would start to fall along with her, Kite quickly turned to catch the falling mage catching her bridal style and skidding to the stop. ”This is the part where you think the hero for saving you.“ he said to her but the Wyrm let out an ear piercing roar and that gave Kite an idea ”nice roar… but mine is better!“ He stated and inhaled ”White Dragon’s Roar!“ a torrent of light slammed into the beast causing some damage to it, ”You Knight! attack!“
