To put it quite simply, Eclipse Wings is a guild that’s all about freedom. Founded by Caelestis as a means to allow mages to have a safe space to pursue their dreams, the guild offers protection to anybody, regardless of past allegiances. So long as they do not actively harm the guild, members or not they will be safe. However, those who seek to harm the ones under the protection of the guild will be retaliated against in full.
Members and refugees alike are free to come and go as they please, and there is very little in the way of overarching rules. If a member wants to leave to become a pop star? Go right ahead, the guild won’t stop you. If a member wants to live in the guild till the day they die? That’s fine too. Within Eclipse Wings, enabling their members to live their best lives is the highest priority.
However, funding these dreams can be expensive at times. Due to this, all members are encouraged (but not required) to take on at least one job per month. The majority of the funding comes directly from Caelestis, but a little extra profit for the guild never hurt.
Every guild has goals, and Eclipse Wings is no exception. Even a guild of freedom has things they want to accomplish with their members, after all.
One of the biggest goals of the guild is create a safe haven, where anybody can live in peace. They’ve already started the process of making the guild open to all those in need, but eventually, the aim is to expand the guild hall into an entire mountaintop city for these purposes. Members who contribute to this are more likely to receive rewards and incentives from the Guildmaster, but it is not expected or required in the slightest.
Another, secondary goal, is to abolish things like slavery and forced servitude, human trafficking, and anything else that might be harmful and restrictive to not only the country, but the world. While these things aren’t necessarily rampant in every country, every place has its darker underbellies, and Eclipse Wings aims to destroy the most harmful ones.
For the members of the Guild, there is nothing more restricting than rules. Thus only a few simple rules are in place for members to follow.
#1)Members of the guild are expected to conduct an intro thread in order to be given access to the guild’s hall and missions. If one does not conduct an intro thread, they will quite simply not be given a rank within the guild, and will not be considered true members.
#2)Assaulting other members of the guild is forbidden. Friendly spars and competitions are fine, and even more serious battles. However, attacking another member without having prearranged it will result in immediate expulsion from the guild.
#3)Members of the guild have as much freedom as they could possibly want. However, restricting the freedom of others is a huge no-go. Coercion, Bribery, and Blackmail are considered serious offences, and can lead to expulsion from the guild.
Nestled high in the mountains, the Eclipse Wings Guild Hall is a sprawling temple-style beauty. With greek-inspired architecture made of mountain stone and accented in pure gold, the hall itself gives a very rich feeling off. Gardens are scattered throughout the place, with fish ponds and waterfalls and trees almost everywhere you look outside the buildings. Inside, everything is made from carved marble, airy and open. The main entrance hall features tributes to the achievements of all past and current masters, aces, and guild members.
The Coliseum One of the guild’s biggest assets, the Coliseum features raised stand seating for members, as well as normal stand seating open to the public in the rare instances the hall is open to outsiders. Large and open-roofed, this large building is protected from the weather by special magical barriers meant to stop rain and wind. This large building is used for everything from sparring to tournaments, and even the occasional concert, play, or other presentations.
