Name: Dexter "Dex" Wallace
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Birthday: December 12
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: Significant amounts of cyberware. Metal arms, glowing yellow eyes, what appears to be a data port of some kind on the left side of his head, near the back.
Personality: Dex is a prideful, boastful, fun-loving asshole. He's a rude, uncultured street kid born and raised in the neutral grounds, who, through various highly illegal means was able to acquire the funds to 'better' himself. He's a competitive man, particularly in regards to mages. He sees them as people who think themselves high and mighty, and disapproves of the influence they have in the government despite consisting of a relatively small part of the overall population of Fiore. In fact, that's the reason why he's left the Neutral Grounds, to prove just what normal humans can do. Granted, he can respect individual mages, but generally considers the magical population as the haughty gifted few who have powers beyond normal people out of pure luck, rather than commitment, investment, or sacrifice. He'll tend to gravitate more towards those like him, who instead of utilizing magic, utilize some other method of bettering themselves that he feels takes more effort or investment. Granted, he can certainly respect a magic user's martial skill or the like, unless they enhance it with magic. Granted, if he knew how much training it can take some people to become powerful magicians, he might respect them a bit more, but in his experience, magical talent has always seemed to be just that, talent without effort.
Dex enjoys battle, seeing it as a chance to prove himself equal to, if not superior to mages. He prefers to fight with his implanted spurs, but is known to use ranged weapons as well. He's not above using dirty tricks and fighting in ways that some may refer to as "underhanded" or "cowardly". Surprise attacks, sucker punches, ambushes, tripping, kicking them while they're down, it's all fair play to him. All the while he'll maintain a grin on his face, though he generally won't taunt and will rarely speak more than necessary for communicating and coordinating with his allies. His fighting style focuses on not necessarily hitting quickly, but when he does hit, making it count. He'll use an array of weapons if necessary, and isn't above using poisons and his environment to his advantage. His cybernetic implants give him remarkable durability, so he's not afraid to take a hit if he knows it means he'll be able to hit his opponent harder. Having grown up in a rather dog-eat-dog section of the Neutral Grounds, Dex is not particularly familiar with mercy, given or received.
Dex is an anarchist, and generally has little respect for any sort of authority figure. Still, he understands the importance of organization in a team, and will generally respect a leader if one should arise out of necessity, and will take on that role if necessary, but he prefers to avoid having the existence of a leader being necessary. Despite Dex's aversion to authority, he finds himself drawn to the various guilds, and has decided to join one mostly to prove himself equal, or superior to magic users. Due to his general dislike of authority, though, he's found the dark guilds more attractive, as he has no respect for Fiore's government, which seems to disproportionately represent the magical minority in the nation.
Likes:
-Anarchy: He is an anarchist after all. He has no respect for authority. Granted, his ideal form of anarchy also means people not being complete psychos and actually being reasonable people so government isn't needed.
-Technology: Growing up in the Neutral Grounds gives one a liking for such a thing.
-Money: Money means more tech, which is his primary way of improving himself.
-Tacos: Who the hell doesn't like them?
Dislikes:
-Magic: He never had to deal with it at home, and besides, only the lucky have that talent and don't even need to work for it.
-Government: He's an anarchist.
-Blue cheese: Why would you eat MOLDY CHEESE?!?!
-Flightless birds: What's the point?
Motivations:
-Lessen the representation of mages in government.
-Bring down the government.
-Continue replacing flesh with chrome.
Fears:
-Dying: For obvious reasons
-Being forced to take a train sitting next to someone a durian fruit: It's literally his worst nightmare.
-Kaijus: See fear of dying.
General Appearance
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 220lbs
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Gold (cybernetic)
Skin Tone: Light
Appearance: Dex is a fairly young man, though his features are weathered compared to one of his age due to a dangerous, and often violent life. His body carries a variety of scars across it, and his arms have been replaced with cybernetic ones. He wears clothing of the more technologically advanced Neutral Grounds or Bosco, originally from the first and having spent time in the latter. Still, having grown up in a rather unsafe place, he tends to wear somewhat bulky, armored clothing.
