Chasing a Kitty | Mission | Private

Mission Details:

As Mavis finished brushing her teeth she had headed to the guild hall, apparently Mavis was being assigned on a mission with one of the newer members of Blue Pegasus. Mavis was surprised she would be the person to introduce the new member to missions. Mavis didn't care, she was happy to be of assistance towards the guild, if she could help the guild grow by teaching it's newest members than she was happy to be of help. She would sit at one of the round tables in the guild hall, waiting for an unfamiliar face to show up. Mavis had reviewed the mission a thousand times while she waited.

So the job was to help a client called Old Lady Chu retrieve her cat which has ran off and she can't obtain it herself. Apparently it was her favorite cat and everyone in the village has failed at catching this feline trouble maker. Mavis smirked, seemed easy enough, she leaned back in her chair sipping on a glass of water. Hopefully her partner would be just as excited as she was, Mavis had already gotten the tickets for their train to the village. Lucky for Mavis tickets to this little rural village were extremely cheap.

Chloe had adjusted to the life of Blue Pegasus well, but it wasn't long before she had to try and embark on her first job for the guild. She found an easy one that she would be able to do, but apparently she would be working with a partner for this one. She supposed that she had to meet the members of Blue Pegasus somehow, so what better way than going on missions with them. She decided that she would get her ticket to the train, and then go back to the guild hall to meet up with her new comrade. As she entered the guild hall she looked pretty anxious to see who it was, but was relieved when she saw a familiar face. "Mavis, are you going on this job too?" she said as she wondered how the two of them would do. She wasted no time and started to lead her friend to the train station and boarded the train.

Mavis surprised definitely that the suppose to be unfamiliar face was indeed familiar, she smiled. It was none other than the beautiful Chloe, she was actually excited she got to see here and that she joined Blue Pegasus, seems like maybe Mavis did get to her on joining them. However maybe she just didn't like how Sabertooth functioned and she wanted to be apart of this guild.


"Why yes I am- whoa." Mavis was surprised as her hand was dragged by Chloe.

Somebody certainly had an attitude tune-up Mavis didn't expect this once-shy woman to be so bold as to lead her to the train station. Mavis smiled either way and boarded the train sitting by Chloe.

"So what made you want to join?" Mavis asked.

After an hour of traveling to the village, Mavis would depart, followed by Chloe, they had met up with Old Lady Chu.


"SO you're the wizards who are gonna find my precious feline, Haki?" She asked, looking them up and down with judgeful eyes.

Mavis nodded, confident. "Yes we are."

Mavis would then walk off in search of the cat, hopefully Chloe would get the signal to search as well.

Chloe walked alongside her friend as she had no idea what this job would even entail, other than that they would be looking for a cat. Chloe thought about the question that she posed by Mavis on the way there, as she wasn't really sure at first. She debated it as they arrived in the village and Chloe let Mavis do the talking. While Chloe may have taken the lead earlier, she was still Chloe and couldn't really talk to a stranger very well. She eventually managed to find her answer, "Well I just had a good feeling about this guild," she said as she knew that really didn't much, but she liked it anyway. She noticed that her new friend got right to work searching for the chat, so she decided to do the same. She began to make her way to the center of town, as she really had no idea where a cat would even want to go.

"Damn." Mavis mumbled.

As the cat had high-tailed it away from her, this damn cat was a harder pussy to catch than Mavis was. No matter though, Mavis would catch this feline-trouble maker. Mavis quickly ran towards the cat, as it meowed and hissed, seeing Mavis charge at it scared the cat to death.


"Chloe, come on! I need your help, right now!" Mavis shouted at her friend, as the cat had slipped past Mavis' legs. 


As she had slipped trying to bend and turn backwards to get the cat she did the splits. Her face became a bright red as she looked around hoping no one saw. She quickly jumped up running back at the cat, hopefully Chloe could catch the cat. Mavis now saw why the Old Lady Chu and the other villagers, couldn't catch this cat he was a slippery one. Pretty good at running and dodging any one jumping for it or charging after it. Of course when your that small, you probably would have to be, so many huge predators to worry about.


Mavis had ran up the side of a house back flipping off of it catching the hind legs of the cat, only to be bitten at and scratched furiously, quickly and repeatedly. She quickly let go of the cat's hind paws and it ran full force off towards Chloe's direction again.

Chloe barely knew what was happening as she noticed that her friend had managed to find the cat they had been searching for. Before she knew it, the cat was running off and avoiding Mavis well. She watched how Mavis would fail to get it twice, but eventually the cat was being pinned down by her. She saw how she was getting scratched up, so Chloe used the opportunity to go up behind the cat and try to catch it. It was in this moment that the cat began to run away from Mavis, and towards Chloe at full force. Chloe managed to stop the cat and block its escape by curling up into a ball before the cat could react. The cat was officially caught and Chloe made sure to carry him back to Old Lady Chu. She smiled and bowed as she thanked them, and Chloe wasn't sure how to react, besides just saying, "Your welcome" and walking back to go to Blue Pegasus.

[Exit: Mission Requirements were met]

Mavis had been astonished at how quickly Chloe reacted to catching the cat, Mavis should've just let her try and catch the damn troublesome cat in the first place. Would have saved a ton of time. Mavis would collect the award thank the woman and be on her way.  Mavis was quick to board the train back to the guild, strange how Chloe chose to walk back. She must just want the alone time, didn't want to be crowded on a train. Oh well, at least their first mission was a success. Hopefully Chloe enjoyed it too and learned basically the just of a mission. Either way Mavis wasn't going to hassle at the shy woman for wanting to walk.

She fell asleep on the train, it was a long way back to her guild, especially with all the stops here and there that the train had to make for others to get off. Mavis didn't mind though. When the train had made it to Clover, Mavis had departed and went back to her Apartment for some rest and as well as to clean the scratches from the damn cat.
