A traveling merchant was walking through the Forgotten Desert with a small team of treasure hunters hoping to find something buried amongst the ruins. A sandstorm arose around the merchant's group and they became under attack. The merchant's team was slaughtered; where as he managed to escape. He spent days in the desert, lost, until finally he came across other travelers and hitched a ride to the nearest village. Once in the village, the merchant was rushed to the hospital where a stinger was found embedded into his spine. The stinger was that of a scorpions', and he was given antitoxin. The merchant, now said to be hysterical from being in the sun too long and poison from a scorpion, is trying to get people's attention about the monsters hiding in the sandstorms in the streets of the village. He also mentions about a valuable treasure amongst the ruins where his group was allegedly attacked; and is willing to pay for anyone to help him go reclaim it as long as they are understanding the stakes.

A blur of motion zipped across the bright blue and wispy white of the clouds in the sky; an orange Exceed with bright white wings carrying a young man with a black aviator jacket, blue jeans, skull tee, sandals, and blue hair zipped across the skies as the desert stretched out below them.
"I see why they call this place 'Forgotten', now!" Garfield exclaimed, looking around as he flew Heero across the desert. Heero had been here once before when he was a younger wizard; although he hadn't gone nearly as far into the desert. He'd barely stepped in the yard by comparison.
"Yea, seriously, looks like even the damm bugs forgot this place." Heero didn't see a even fly or catch sight of a beatle zooming by in the air with them. It was truly devoid of everything it seemed. He'd heard of Desert Village, and wondered how in the world they got their supplies, how they lived like this. He supposed it was possible to get water from the Cactus' and also possible to kill monsters for meat and steaks for food. Although there could be an Oasis nearby.
As he thought of this, he and Garfield saw an Oasis come into view over the horizon. Heero laughed at his own intuition as the camera would be behind them, as Garfield kicked his speed up a gear; roaring past the camera and flying off towards the Oasis in the distance. There were more tents, buildings, and stables around than Heero could count. He'd found Desert Village.
Heero and Garfield approached through the skies. Garfield would pull back, and slow down; spreading his white wings to catch some air as they slowed. He eventually dropped Heero once they were close enough; the Lightning Dragon Slayer landed at a crouch in the village, a little bit of sand kicking up around him as he landed at a kneel.
Garfield lowered himself slowly, levitating and flying near Heero's shoulder as he rose from his landing.
"This place is drrrryyyyyyyyy!" Garfield said, as he bobbed up and down; his eyes slipping down into a comical anime look of disappointment. There would likely be no fish for the orange Exceed of the Lightning Dragon Slayer on this job. Usually he found a way to get some, but it wasn't looking good so far.
"Can you stop thinking about fish for one minute?" Heero said as the two began walking into Desert Village, Garfield flew at Heero's shoulder, and flailed his arms with anime speed as they walked along, hovering alongside him.
"I've tried to forget!!! The fish...they haunt me in my dreams if I try to block them out!" Garfield exclaimed, flying alongside Heero without looking at him. Heero began to giggle, and attempt to contain laughs as they headed towards the location of the Desert Merchant. Apparently some people thought he'd gone mad since his encounter with the Giant Scorpions of the desert; he'd lost his entire team too. Something like that could definitely take it's toll on one's mind. However he may not be insane as people claimed.
Heero knew full well that people who seem insane are usually onto something, and simply won't let the matter drop until it's resolved or until they've come full circle in their mind with whatever is keeping them on edge.
