Observing the Island [Private/Chel]

It was so peaceful on Galuna Island. Tracy was wearing a blue tank top, short jeans and a pair of flip-flops. Her long creamy-white hair was pulled up into a ponytail and she was wearing sunglasses.Tracy had traveled by boat to see this strange island said to be inhabited by demons. People told her there's a demon village here. Tracy couldn't believe there could be demons on such a peaceful island like this. The sun shared it's warmth as the wind would frequently fondle the island. Tracy even considered staying here for quite a while. It would be amazing to spend time on such a serene place. Tracy walked along a path into a forest on the island as colorful birds welcomed her with their melodic chirping sounds.

Winter was only ending and it was already getting hot. Sweat rolled down Tracy's temples as she explored the island. After walking about five miles, she reached the end of the forest. Still wanting to explore, she walked further and reached ... The Demon village. Wow, she was already here. Tracy casually entered through the gigantic gate. She also heard the demons there were friendly. That was a good thing because she didn't want to end up being eaten alive by demons. When she got into the village, her eyes widened. They really are demons! The demons looked back at her in shock. Maybe they were wondering what a young girl was doing all alone on a strange island like Galuna.

Tracy noticed that the demons didn't look too happy. In fact, they looked anxious. Some even looked angry. Was it because of her? Why were they acting so strange like that. She'd never seen demons before so it was a strange thing for her. And since they were looking like someone fed them poop, Tracy couldn't help but giggle. She successfully failed in maintaining her giggle, which caught the attention of some demon children. They looked up at her and frowned. Wow, demon kids were even more mature than Tracy. She straightened herself up and plastered a serious expression on her face before she loses her dignity. "Tracy, you're not even as mature as a five-year-old?" her subconscious was asking her. Tracy looked at the kids who frowned at her. Five-year-old, huh? They don't even look three years old.

Just as Tracy was trying to shut her subconscious up, a male came to her. He was dressed like a rune knight. A rune knight! What's he doing here? He must be the reason all those people were worried. So it wasn't her fault after all. That was great to know. There was also a little girl with him. Actually, she was in a card on his pants. The guy asked her what she was doing here. "I was just exploring, 'cause this place is really peaceful. What about you? What are you doing here?" Tracy asked back. The little girl in the card waved her arm in the air and introduced herself as Miu. She asked if Tracy had cookies on her. "Hello there, Miu. No, I don't have cookies on me. What makes you think I have cookies? Tracy asked, sort of grinning at the little girl.

Tracy giggled at the little girl's answer. "You think I'm nice?" she asked although she didn't expect an answer. The girl had come out of the card in the guy's pants and was now standing. Then, the guy said that Miu was a cookie lover and told Tracy not to mind her. "No, it's fine. She's really cute," Tracy replied like an idiot. She stood there awkwardly waiting for this person to say something. Thank god he finally found something to say. He said they should explore this island together. That wasn't a bad idea. It was better than walking alone. Especially when there was this cute little girl who loved cookies around. Tracy had a feeling they would become friends and not those type of people whom you just met, said hi, had a little conversation and disappeared forever. Yeah, those kind of people suck. Tracy couldn't even remember herself making friends. It was a long time she had been gone. She didn't even know what she had been doing. The only friends she remembered were Leonard and Daichi. They welcomed her to Fairy Tail on her first day. It was unforgettable. The loudness and craziness of the guild when she first entered. She remembered that clearly.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea! I'd love to explore the island with you guys," Tracy said cheerfully. "But before that, I'd like to know your name. Mine's Tracy Grimoire," she said politely. A gentle breeze blew, caressing Tracy's face and making her body cool. She could hear all sorts of birds chirping a beautiful melody like they had been practicing. The sun shone bright above the island. It is said that when night falls, instead of a white moon, a purple moon appears, messing with the memories of the demons on the island. They say it makes the demons think that they were humans and that the purple moon turned them into demons. How strange...

Tracy didn't know why but suddenly the guy got nervous. Then he introduced himself as Chelvaric Vhulran. The name sounded complicated, all Tracy could remember was Chel. So she asked, "Hey, can I call you Chel? It's all I'll be able to remember of your name," while shaking the hand he held out. Then he asked where Tracy wanted to go first: the beach or the ruins? Tracy thought it would be better to visit the ruins before dark and go to the beach when the sun sets. It would be nice to watch the sunset from the beach with her new friends. Now they'd go to the ruins. There was this Forbidden Temple Tracy wanted to visit, too. Even though it was called Forbidden Temple, it didn't give her the scary feeling like, "Oh my god. I'm so scared. I wonder what will happen if I go in?" yadda yadda. Nothing like that occurred to Tracy.

"I think we should go to the ruins first. We'll go to the beach when the sun sets," Tracy said and took the lead. "Now we'll go to the Forbidden Temple," she added just to let them know where she was heading. The only problem was she didn't know the way to the temple. She looked around to see any hint of temples. They were still in the village though. And Tracy noticed the demons were getting restless by the minute. She walked out through the village gate first and then decided to search for any temples poking out of the island's lush vegetation. There! Right behind the village, she noticed a huge temple. It was the only one near that area, so it must be the Forbidden Temple. "Hey, there it is! Let's go!" Tracy announced and started walking towards the temple.

So Chel also saw the temple. Little Miu asked Tracy if she wanted a chip. "Not really. But thanks for offering me your chip, Miu," Tracy smiled. Then she walked along the muddy path of the forest. She saw some really weird-looking creatures. The creatures gave her wide-eyed looks so she returned the same looks. After about a whole minute of walking, she thought it might be nice to start a conversation. "So Chel, what do rune knights usually do?" she asked. Yes, that was a stupid question. But that was the only question she had in her head right now. She didn't know anything about Rune Knights, so she could find out by asking Chel who actually is a Rune Knight. They must be like a family too. Like her guild - Fairy Tail. They must love each other like brothers and sister. She wondered if there was a master of all the Rune Knights, like the way there is a guildmaster in guilds. That reminded her of her guild. Wow, she just realized she missed her friends a lot. Of course, how many months have it been? They must have even forgotten her. She hopes not...

When Chel answered her question, Tracy was kind of confused. All those divisions and stuff messed up her head. The only thing she clearly understood was that Chel had a dangerous and important position among the Rune Knights, and that the people feared them. Without further questions about the Rune Knights, Tracy kept walking towards the temple. The path got dirtier and she noticed a few strange creatures, like a bright pink deer-like animal with a long purple tongue. Tracy looked to the other side and saw strangely colored frogs on tree. And Miu was chasing them. "Miu be careful! They might be poisonous," Tracy warned so that the little girl wouldn't get hurt. She didn't want to see her end up back in the Demon village trying to cure the frog poison (if the frogs were poisonous), instead of exploring the Forbidden Temple.

Just when Tracy thought this journey was going to be a silent one, Chel asked which guild she was from. Oh, of course. Tracy expected this question. She knew he'd ask sooner or later. But there was nothing to worry about exposing her guild to this Rune Knight, because she didn't belong to a dark guild. "I belong to Fairy Tail. I will always be devoted to that guild no matter what happens," Tracy said proudly. She really loved her guild so much. It was her real home and the members were her real family. Now they were really close to the temple. Tracy increased her pace so they wouldn't have to waste time just getting to the temple.

Tracy smiled when Miu continued her journey beside her. She seemed to be an obedient girl. Then Chel said that he had a friend in Fairy Tail called Heero. Hm. She had never heard of this person. He must be new. "Oh, is that so? I have never heard of him. I believe he is new," she told Chel. After walking for a while, they reached the temple. "Wow," Tracy said and entered the temple. They reached a place where it was dark and Chel took out a lacrima to use as a light source so they could see. Tracy was glad he had brought a lacrima, or they wouldn't be able to see where they were going. They saw the ruined inside of the temple. Tracy didn't utter a word while she studied the temple's inside. She had never really seen anything like this before so it was really interesting for her.

Chel said that these ruins weren't made of magic. "Huh. That's nuts," Tracy said, but her voice seemed like she was talking to no one in particular. Like she was talking in a dream. As they kept walking, they reached a balcony from where they could see an island. They both looked stunned. It was a breath-taking sight, so beautiful and priceless. "Holy cow," Tracy said, her voice sounding dreamy again.

Tracy was quite surprised when Miu mentioned barbeque. "Barbecue? Who's going to make barbecue?" Tracy asked, bewildered. But what Chel said next answered her question. He had the Rune Knights arrange the barbecue! What a surprise! Tracy's mind was racing. When did he even have the time to contact the Rune Knights and persuade them into arranging a barbecue just for him, Miu and Tracy? Was he some sort of high-ranking Rune Knight? Tracy didn't know because she wasn't really paying attention when Chel was talking about Rune Knights. Anyway, she followed Chel to the beach where they got to a raven-like rock where the barbecue was set.

Tracy sat on the blanket while Chel started the barbecue. He asked if Tracy liked fish. "Yes, I don't really have any food I don't like," she grinned. She motioned for Miu to come sit beside her. "I'm sorry I don't know how to make food. I usually buy the food I eat," she said if Chel was wondering why she didn't join him in making barbecue.

Tracy was so surprised to hear that Chel cooked for him and Miu. And he was a guy! She'd never seen guys do that. Usually girls would do that for guys. Tracy waited for Chel to finish dressing the plates. It was another surprising thing. Chel could dress the plates with food so nicely! Was he a chef? Tracy wondered if he worked in a restaurant before. That's probably impossible. Anyway, when she was given the plate, she started eating. "Oh my god, this is so delicious! You're amazing at cooking," Tracy praised Chel. It was scrumptious. No mage had ever made food for her. Chel was awesome, in her opinion. "Miu, you must be the luckiest little girl. Chel makes amazing food," Tracy said.

Right after she said that, Chel told her that he had prepared fireworks and watermelon for desert. Tracy giggled a bit, because the way he said it was like they were going to have fireworks for desert. But she was surprised again. "Oh, we're going to have fireworks for desert?" she asked jokingly and stuck out her tongue. Then he asked why she became a mage and what magic she actually used. "I use ReQuip magic. Why do you ask why I became a mage?" she asked, confused.

What Tracy said had made Miu really shocked. It was funny. Tracy had to hold her stomach while laughing when Miu looked at her with wide, shocked eyes. "Oh my god, you look so funny," Tracy squealed in laughter. Chel was rolling on the floor laughing. Tracy finished her plate and handed it to Chel. "Can I have more?" she asked. The food was incredible, so she couldn't help but get herself more. She imagined herself as Miu, eating all the delicious food Chel makes and giggled. Then Chel told her to look at the sun which was just setting. Tracy leaned onto Chel as she took in the beautiful sight. "Oh, it's so beautiful," she said.

The crimson sun that was setting shared it magnificent color with the sky and thesea, painting them orange and slowly plummeting down behind the horizon. The light from the sun had made everything orange and Tracy noticed that Chel's face was also orange. She giggled and pointed at his face. "Look, your face is orange," she giggled.

Tracy blushed madly when Chel placed his arm around her. Goosebumps rose all over her body and she was having a tingling feeling all over her body. Chel told her her face was orange too and that she looked beautiful in it. "Thank you," she said and he winked. Miu brought the watermelon and sliced it into four pieces like she had been training her entire life to slice watermelons. The way she sliced resembled a samurai and it was very professional. Tracy took one piece and ate the dessert. The sun had completely disappeared behind the horizon and the stars crept up, lighting up the night sky. It felt so magical being on a beach on a mysterious island under the night sky. Tracy noticed some constellations. She noticed the arher whose bow always pointed to the east. It was her favorite constellation.

Then the moon came up. It really was purple! "Oh my god, look Chel! The moon really is purple!" Tracy said excitedly, grinning. Her eyes were wide with surprise.

Chel said that it really was beautiful as Tracy finished her watermelon. He walked towards her and said, “It’s beautiful but you’re the prettiest thing here.” Tracy started blushing like mad again and her eyes were wide. He put his arms around her and Tracy didn't know what to do. Her heart was beating wildly in her chest she didn't know what to do. She wanted to yell, "Chel, stop!" But he said that he was feeling something for her and Tracy knew what was going to happen next. Chel kissed her, under the bright sky lit by fireworks. Her hands made their way up his chest around his neck. She knew this was mad, but she responded to the kiss. She had never done such a thing before and she felt tingly all over her body.

Tracy released herself from him. She was breaking heavily and didn't move from their current position. Her face was really red and didn't want Chel to see that. Tracy realized it got really hot. It was probably only her. "Chel..." she said. She didn't know what to say. Her legs couldn't support her, so she was holding onto Chel. "W-What just happened?" she asked, nervously looking up at Chel.

Tracy felt all tingly again when Chel tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. He said he wanted her and that he would wait an eternity for her. Her head was spinning. What to do in such a difficult situation? Tracy bit her lower lip and thought for a moment. She then confidently looked up to him. "Chel, I'm sorry to say this but, this is really ... fast. We just met and ... I don't know. I'll think about it," Tracy said. She let go of Chel and sat back on the blanket. She looked at the purple moon. She had never thought the night turn out like this. It was weird, yet magical. Tracy looked at the shore because she heard something. Her boat had arrived. She had to leave now. Tracy didn't just want to leave Chel and Miu. She felt sort of attached. Though they weren't from Fairy Tail, she felt like they were really close.

Tracy stood up to leave. She knew it was really sudden but she paid for this boat. "My boat is here, Chel. I have to leave," she turned to him and said. "But don't worry, I know we'll meet again," she told him and gave him a promising smile. She walked to the boat and got on it. The boat left immediately, probably because there were passengers waiting on the other side. Tracy looked at Chel and Miu as the boat got further and further away from them.
