    Magic

Primary Magic: Lacrima Self - Magic Generator
    Secondary Magic: N/A
Caster or Holder: Holder magic, based in the lacrimas embedded in her body
Description: Due to the strange operation performed on her, Maya has become more akin to a sentient mana battery than a living human. The system of Lacrimas within her store and absorb magic from her surroundings naturally, using it to regulate her internal body structure and keep her organs from failing horribly. She naturally can hold a large amount of magic within her body due to this, and can release it violently to injure others or instill it within others to increase their own mana stores. As time has passed, her mastery of the magic within the Lacrimas has increased, allowing her to create and manipulate objects using the abundant mana within her.
    Strengths:
    > Mana abundance. Maya’s body is capable of holding more magic within her than the average human, thanks to the Lacrima’s natural mana storage abilities.
    > Versatility. Depending on Maya’s level of control of the magic, she can use it to hurt, heal, or create with equal effectiveness.
    > Because her body is sustained almost entirely by the Lacrimas now, Maya no longer needs to perform many of the necessary bodily functions like eating, sleeping, or even breathing. (Note that she still can do these things, and prefers to do so because they make her feel more human.)
    Weaknesses:
    > Mana and life linkage. The Lacrimas have intrinsically linked themselves to Maya’s life force; if they were forcibly removed or if Maya ran out of magic, her life would be in grave danger.
    > Problems with Anti-Magic: Maya has a particularly difficult time with anti-magic abilities; they cause malfunctions and issues with the Lacrimas inside her, causing her body to reject itself.
    > Problems with Magic Items. The Lacrimas naturally sap magic from nonliving surroundings; this extends to magical items as well. When Maya tries to use or even goes near magical items, things tend to malfunction or break entirely.
    > Requirement for Lacrimas. In order to ensure that her Lacrimas maintain their integrity, Maya needs to absorb the energy from other Lacrimas every so often. Usually this is dealt with by her carrying around a bunch of tiny Lacrimas that she treats like hard candies, but if she lost them, she would be in for some serious issues.
    > Lack of stealth. Maya shines like a beacon of magic to any sensory magic, making it impossible for her to hide her presence from them.
Lineage: Gold Rush. Maya’s family has always had luck with money; she continues this proud tradition, picking up some extra money and luck for either Lacrima money or other expenses.
    Unique Abilities:
    > Spellsoul: Maya’s life and mana are inextricably linked; when she regains mana, she gains some life as well. This ability has only strengthened as Maya’s body has learned to coexist and integrate with the Lacrimas Whenever Maya would gain mana through means other than natural regeneration, she gains that percentage in health as well. On the flipside, if an effect other than spellcasting causes her to lose mana, she loses that amount in health as well.

    > Golem: As she is now fueled by mana, Maya no longer requires several basic human needs. She no longer needs to eat, drink, sleep, or even breathe, although she still likes to do these things.

    > Storage: The Lacrimas stored throughout Maya’s body allow her to store much more mana than the average human, but also causes her to resonate with enemy spells, taking more damage. Her max mana storage is increased to 150%, but she takes 25% more damage from spells.

    > Spellsight: As Maya became more attuned to the Lacrimas, she gained the ability to use the Lacrimas to supplement her vision. With a little focus, her Lacrima vision kicks in, allowing her to see mana as a physical substance and navigate in total darkness.

Hey there, Meletzo! I'll be grading your magic application. You can find my requests in this color.

    Weaknesses:
    > Mana and life linkage. The Lacrimas have intrinsically linked themselves to Maya’s life force; if they were forcibly removed or if Maya ran out of magic, her life would be in grave danger.
    > Inexperience. Although Maya has gained this power, she also has very little idea how it truly works or how to utilize it as of yet. As such, she is likely very much not using it to its full potential.
    > Problems with Magic Items. The Lacrimas naturally sap magic from nonliving surroundings; this extends to magical items as well. When Maya tries to use some magical items, things tend to malfunction due to the Lacrima’s interference.
Whenever Maya would gain mana, she gains half that percentage in health as well. On the flipside, if an effect other than spellcasting causes her to lose mana, she loses half that amount in health as well. Just note that HP regen occurs every two posts instead of every post like MP does.

    > Golem: As she is now fueled by mana, Maya no longer requires several basic human needs. She no longer needs to eat, drink, sleep, or even breathe, although she still likes to do these things.

    > Storage: The Lacrimas stored throughout Maya’s body allow her to store much more mana than the average human. Her max mana storage is increased to 125%. As this is a pretty hefty increase to MP (and also to HP since the lacrimas are connected to her life force), I'm going to need a few more drawbacks to Maya before O can let this pass. Some suggestions are lowered damage output, increased damage to magic, any lowered stat, etc.

    Spells:

    Name: Lacrima Burst
    Rank: D
    Type: Non-Elemental Magic, Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: Two posts.
Description: Maya suddenly releases the magic stored within one of the Lacrimas at that moment, dealing 15 damage to everything within 5 feet of Maya.
    Strengths:
    > Is easy to cast, so can be used while doing other things
    > Has no speed, everything within the radius takes damage instantly
    > Has no element, so it doesn’t have any type disadvantages
    Weaknesses:
    > Short Range
    > Friendly Fire is possible
    > Has no element, so doesn’t have any type advantages
    > Deals Maya 5 damage as well.

    Name: Instill
    Rank: D
    Type: Non-Elemental Magic, Healing
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 3 Posts
Description: Maya channels the energy of the Lacrimas into somebody who she is touching, restoring 10% of either their mana or health. 10% is too much for a health or MP regen, MP maxes at 4% and HP maxes at 1 D-rank spell. Please choose. Please also specify a range.
    Strengths:
    > Versatile, can heal mana or health
    > Is instant, so it can’t be interfered with
    Weaknesses:
    > Short range
    > Requires a lot of focus compared to other spells to prevent overloading others
    > Maya can’t use it on herself

    Name: Absorb
    Rank: D
    Type: Non-Elemental Draining Magic
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 3 Posts
Description: Just as Maya can instill magic in others, she can also absorb magic power from others she is touching. At a touch, she can drain magic from a target, dealing 20 damage and restoring 10% mana. Again, 10% is too large of an MP boost; MP maxes at 4% restoration.
    Strengths:
    > Instant
    > Doesn’t have an element, so can’t be resisted
    > Restoring mana procs Spellsoul, also healing Maya’s health somewhat
    Weaknesses:
    > Touch range
    > Doesn’t have an element, so has no advantages
    > Tends to automatically activate on enchanted items, limiting her use of them and occasionally breaking them
    > Costs 15% instead of the normal 10%, so Maya still loses some mana

    Name: Lacrima Bomb
    Rank: D
    Type: Non-Elemental, AoE, Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: Maya focuses the energy of the Lacrimas into an orb and lobs it at a target location within 10 feet. It travels at 4 feet per second, and explodes in a 5 foot radius upon hitting the ground, dealing 20 damage to everything struck. Since this is an AoE, please state what the epicenter is and what the outside is, and that the outside only receives 75% of the total damage.
    Strengths:
    > Deals more than average damage for an AoE spell of its rank
    > Maya’s only ranged spell
    > Non-elemental, so doesn’t have any disadvantages
    Weaknesses:
    > Travels fairly slowly so it’s easily avoidable
    > Can deal friendly fire damage (including to Maya if she isn’t careful)
    > Non-Elemental, so it doesn’t have any advantages
    > Disrupting Maya’s focus while she’s casting could result in the orb exploding on her

Bump, made the edits you suggested and powered up my C-Rank stuff.

Notably, the Lacrima Spike isn't supposed to bounce it back at the caster, but rather redirect the spell to hit the spike instead. That part of the spell is diversion and protection, not intended to be damage.
