No matter what she did lately? The young woman could not seem to settle down where she was, not without those memories assaulting her mentality and trying to tear her apart. Jiyu worked very hard and was recognized often for her sweat, yet only one man knew the reason behind, heck maybe even he did know why she worked so hard! Simply put Kazehime worked herself until the breaking point so that she never had to think of then torture she had endured for two years. Instead of pushing herself to confront and cope with her past? She ran away in any way she could, went far away as her feet could carry her because she did not want to turn around and confront the monster hugging her from behind. If she stopped, the wind user knew she'd be forced to confront her flaws, her own pain and inability. Jiyu would have none of it! Yet each day running became harder because she had to come home to the exact same place, and it was so different from the life she had lived since she was ten, the conditions she knew how to cope with.


“I kind of miss ships.” But there was no way she was getting the entity most important to her on one of those! He was afraid of heights and got seasick, Jiyu could never ask him to board them, and she could never be away from the feline for long enough to go back to that life herself. Kazehime laughed as she slid down on a bench overlooking the docks in hargeon, gripping the hot chocolate she had gotten earlier. What was she suppose to do? Part of her wanted to wait for her sailing legs, her need to travel, those things to vanish, so she could do more things. Yet another part of her wanted to keep those things alive. “It's so early.” She did not have to decide yet. As it stood right now, she could go on like this for now, nothing was forcing her hand. The young woman yawned, hand nudging the kitsune sleeping beside her, and yes the ace had slept outside on a bench instead of renting a hotel room.

Jiyu glanced to her side, at the fox laying there half covered in a blanket, the day they met came back and the nearly maternal feelings that came with that surged. Gazing down the girl's hand came to stroke the kitsune's head “wake up little sleepy head.” Her velvet voice came out softly as she scratched between makoto's ears, slowly rousing the child fox. Kazehime glanced around once more as she stood up from the bench that had clearly been their bed the prior night, a doggy bed at one end for the fox, a pillow and blanket at the other side for the dog. “Man it's chilly this morning.” a pale blue blanket remained wrapped around the short girl, her ebony hair falling around her until it reached her lower back in a heavily knotted mass, her elfin ears lost somewhere within it. “Maka shift forms, we should get moving soon.” Finally the fox rose from her bed, leaping from the bench. When she finally landed? The purple and silver fox called Maka by her seeming owner, had suddenly become taller than Jiyu was. Several of the few people out and about so early startled, until Jiyu assured them the massive kitsune was harmless because maka was only an infant of her species.


“Jiyu secure them.” the fox spoke once it had pushed two bags onto it’s back, the place where their food and other items were kept during missions, however these containers seemed small, nearly beyond modest. Everything visible about the two? Suggested they were nothing but street rats or such, certainly no hint that Anna was looking at a powerful mage and her companion, they looked like common travelers. Small hands clearly struggled with the ties needed to keep the equipment up while Makoto moved, maybe it was due to sleep, that was what most people would assume but if one looked closer they could guess she was just weak herself, everything on her a little too thin for her height. Once the securing was done she glanced over, seeing the other girl wave to her, only it served to startle her due to Anna being more than twenty feet away, Jiyu only saw the movement. “Jiyu!” the fox grabbed the blanket wrapped around kazehime like a cloak, preventing the startled sorceress from falling.


“If you want to socialize with me, you have to come closer, I can’t actually see you over there.” the girl turned her head away slightly, holding Makoto’s neck as she gulped. Normally she would just leave, but the fact she could see the blurry shape of a ship where this new person was? Entranced the wind user, made her more open to the interaction. “You have to get within twenty feet of me, sorry.” she wouldn’t try to befriend or acquaintance with someone she couldn’t even see!

Jiyu really hated her poor vision sometimes, she had been born red-green colorblind, but otherwise until she awakened as a dog demon her vision had been normal! In fact she had not known there was anything wrong with her sight growing up because no one had ever explained that red or green existed. However suddenly losing over half your sight range was something one noted, and Jiyu knew these days she completely possessed the senses of a dog. Each move Anna made coming closer? Was pinpointed by her eyes and elfin ears combining sight and hearing to make such an accurate gaze. Looking at the way she gazed forward, you'd never actually think everything beyond twenty feet was a blurry mass of color and movement without a single detail. Nose twitching she smelled the same scents she had once carried herself of the ocean and sky, the signs of someone who lived on ships and traveled freer than Jiyu currently did. Kazehime realized again how much she missed all of it, envied the girl now standing in front of her.


        “Warm would be nice, didn't think it would get this cold over the night, forgot how much the water can chill things.” There was a sorrow when she mentioned forgetting that being so close to the ocean would cause the night to be so frigid. Everything else about Jiyu? Suggested she was actually rather happy out here, except for being frozen to the bone. Kazehime had also unwittingly and unknowingly revealed maka and herself had slept out in the cold last night, in spite of the wide variety of inns and cheap overnight housing one could find in a port town. “So long as that drink is Warm Apple Cider!” Jiyu did not drink liquor and nothing else besides cider sounded good this morning, so hopefully whatever bar Anna had in mind could serve something like apple cider. “I'm Jiyu and she's makoto.”

The wind user controlled an element that at times could render her chilly, she flew and often times did so at decent heights, frigid temperatures were partly the norm for her, especially after her seven years traveling. In the past on most ships she was the smallest and weakest member on board, thus she would get forced to the deck or some other less heated place for nights. Jiyu got cold, clearly, but her body was used to adjusting to it and she rarely got sick from freezing like this, in fact it had not made her sick even once since her transformation into a demon. That same transformation? Gave her the insanely motion sensitive vision that detected Anna’s shivering, the instinct that caused her eyes to follow every one of the taller girls movement’s as if she was some small predator getting ready to pounce. However her intents were much purer than that of some savage animal, part of the person she had been when human, still remained rooted firmly inside of her. “Oh.” the small noise escaped as she processed this other girl was much more susceptible to the cold air around them, white fog emitting from her breath at the sound, her very breath. Jiyu removed the pale blue blanket she had wrapped around her own frail form and moved forward with it to drape it across the other girl’s shoulders “Here. I’ll be fine” most people would doubt that when the clothing she wore beneath was revealed! Short white lace trimmed, grey frilly shorts hugged her slender legs, while grey fabric hid little more than the important part of her chest, and did little to support her large breasts, which bounced enough for the girl to feel it with her every movement, goosebumps appearing on them first as the cold attack her vulnerable pale flesh.  


“A little should be fine, though i’d probably prefer warm water, never had much of a taste for drink variety.” it was strange, but some part of her seemed to like whispering that she should not get her body involved with such things. For now? She obeyed. Yet Jiyu was young, foolish and sometimes easily swayed, one day she was going to have something dogs should not have, and would get sick or worse because of it. “Getting out of the cold is a very good idea.” she verbally agreed, but the mage stood there as if she was barely affected, stretching her arms above her head to help her body wake up a little bit faster. “Maka come on.” if you invited her somewhere, you automatically invited her little companion, who at the moment was not so little due to carrying their bags. Jiyu’s elfin ears twitched as she heard a small chitter, turning her head quizzically before she realized what was causing it. “You first.” Anna was chattering her teeth due to the cold, this meant that both girls certainly had to get inside soon, or the woman offering her a drink might very well freeze herself to death.


“You have a nice ship. You know which heating system is in it? I’m guessing you're the captain from how your speaking.” Maka rolled her eyes as started Jiyu speaking in her velvet smooth voice. Normally the kitsune liked when her mistress spoke. “Now you’ve done it.” when the fox spoke she was looking at Anna, as if exasperate about something that had just taken place. Kazehime had an interest in ships that endured past when she ceased sailing due to wizard work.

A good part of Jiyu was still rather sweet and gentle, despite the darkness slowly building up inside of her body. Actually? It was wrong to word it that way, for ever since the day Marschal rescued her from what would have been her death bed, that evil had been with her. The only difference was now it had begun to grow, multiplying deep inside of her body, reaching towards a point where she may no longer be able to contain that rising darkness. Even if she was unaware of her dark side? There was already evidence rousing in her world, facts proving she might already be largely unable to contain the energy she barely even knew even existed. Kazehime followed Anna round the ship, everything seemingly normal, but a sick feeling welled up in her gut, vision blurring for a second, her steps slowing and becoming something one might consider prowling or stalking, predatory if you will.

     The wind user suddenly stopped moving, eyes widening slightly, body jolting as if someone had pushed her, even thought nothing was there. As the motion happened? Bile nearly rising up her throat. Doing her best not to look pale in the face, terrified of the feeling inside of her, as if something was reaching out to the world around her. "I'm Jiyu." her velvet voice was soft as she gave the intro, smile attempting to hide how feint she was suddenly feeling. The reason for the sudden icky feelings welling inside the girl, was beyond her knowledge, but to put it quiet simply it was an over flow of black magic, the art that her species, inugami, should normally wield. "Does it burn just gas or other things too?" it was an interesting question, on a long trip it might be useful to be able to burn other things, the girl shrugged, leaning on her pet as they followed after Anna.
