Special Characteristics: His hair is strangely formed, so that a 'horn' sticks up fron the middle. It makes it pretty easy to attain notice. He also has a big tattoo on his back that symbolizes the Dao family and their connection to Yin-Yang. On top of that, his left eye is blood-red, while the right is yellow.
Personality: You can get the chance to know him, even if you are just one minute with him. He has a very determined personality and a steel-hard mind, often a kuudere, and sometimes directly intimidating at first sight. His steel face is mostly shown in battle, but when with friends and family, he can actually turn out to be pretty slow and funny to joke with. Not everyone will be able to truly bring out his true feelings, which he usually covers in a cloak of a selfish warrior. In secret, he does care about those around him and when needed, he would go beyond what it takes to make sure that they are safe. But mostly, he sticks to himself if possible, and doesn’t prefer being helped much. He's good at acting tough, but people who are close to him can easily see what he's hiding. Very cocky, or at least when finding the situation like a piece of cake. Overall, he seems very steadfast in eyesight, but easily gets embarrassed in specific ways.
His feelings for his family is unsurpassed; a mixture of loyalty and love, and these strong feelings for them took place from birth and so on. His family is first priority; it has always been. His family is his blood, and his blood is inviolable. However, that doesn’t apply to those who dare mock his family’s name, whether it be in public or in secret; he would never accept such an act. Lots of strong feelings are directly tied to his family, to all of them.
In combat, he’s a combined version of the observant and straight-into-action type. His goals are always to find the quickest way to defeat his opponent, the smartest way to avoid danger and the best way to show off; although the fighting spirit can take over him and grant him a lustful feeling of battle, which can turn him into quite the nightmare-masked admirer of the struggle of a fight; simply, he gets too excited too easily, and it’s a huge change from his starting, ice-cold, cynical expression to that of a berserker. His feelings are usually shown within his magic, as he spreads very wild and determined expressions to his opponents. If teaming up with someone, he always wants to do the most, even if the tasks are life-threatening. It’s not only because that he wants his teammate to be safe and all, but he prefers to do stuff on his own. It’s a part of his nature, but a very weak part as it can easily alter time by time, especially when he decides to team up with others. One can’t avoid company in a job once and then, so why not accept it? Not always is the situation quite easy to solve, so it takes more than just himself to move on. He always thinks about how he can get stronger, so that whatever bothered him last time can fade away as a mere memory. Experience is the key to evolve one’s mind.
Likes:
- Weapons; His family is from Ca-Elum, the land of smiths; obviously, weapons have been a very big part of his life. He's been studying the art of almost every weapon that has ever been forged in his home country.
- Family; Who comes first? Family. He has the upmost loyalty and respect for his blood and ancestors.
- Anything That's Fried; He just likes the juicy taste of a fried chicken, a fried hamburger or anything else that's fried. Not joking; fry a brick and he might eat it.
Dislikes:
- Pseuds; Seriously, they're among the worst kind of people (even though Shen can appear like one once in a while. Talk about double standards).
- Bad Jokes; What are bad jokes? Aren't they supposed to be funny? Isn't that what a joke is supposed to be? Funny? What if it doesn't make one laugh? Is it still a joke, or is it just misunderstood? Many questions are asked from him when hearing bad jokes, and it enrages him a lot.
- Arguments; If he gets stuck in an argument, he can really get enraged. He usually stays away from potential discussions that won't bring any good.
Motivations:
- He strives day and night to make a name for himself and for his family. Being the only one among the Dao family that utilizes magic, he feels a need to be steadfast in whatever stands in the way of becoming stronger and stronger. His family counts on him.
- As a Lightning Mage, many other mages are out there with the same or even better skills. To meet them all and discover new sides of the descending light has touched his heart and become one of his major goals in life.
- He knows not what he is. He discovered a while ago that he wasn't any ordinary kid, and since then, he wished and still wishes to find out what exactly is special about him...
Fears:
- Bats; Ever tried to have a bat stuck in your mouth? Well, traumatic seizures along with a life-long scar on his heart followed after...
- Demons; He never felt safe around the concept demon. Something that he can't point out precisely yet has scarred him for life as well.
- Darkness; He gets goosebumps when it's completely dark and when he cant' see his hand before himself...

Appearance: He’s quite slim, no signs of muscle mass are clearly visible on him. He’s of average high and has soft hands, small feet and overall looks a little younger than he actually is. His usual set of clothes consists either of this; a sleeveless gi with black theme and yellow coloring around the contour, along with a pair of kung-fu leggings and soft fabric shoes. Another set consists of a red shirt with black buttons, along with a new set of kind of sturdier pants with black shoes. A white belt is shown on both suits, reaching around his waist and working as accessory. On top of that is a pair of black wrist bracers that are attached to his tendon sheaths.
