Today, she sat tired by the side of the cloud sea. The beach here was beautiful, the sand felt wonderful on her skin, the water that touched her toes were just lightly cool to the touch and yet, it seemed no one ever came here... the clouds hung so low, so close to the edge of the water that no one ever wanted to come to this beach. Today, that was fine with her. She had just searched as much of the ocean as she possibly could over the last few days, using all of her senses to try and track down her dragon but to no avail.
She groaned loudly as she let herself fall onto her back, staring up at the thick white clouds that hung from the sky.
"Mom where are you..."
She said with mild anger. Her vision was suddenly obscurred, both by the tears welling up in her eyes, and the face of the very large serpent that came to make sure she was ok. She reached up, placing her hand against the side of Zinnath's face, gently rubbing her hand against her scales as she let the tears fall from her eyes. Not only was Hydrianna gone... but Zinnath... she had watched the Serpent grow from the size of a small snake to what she was now... Serpents aged quickly... at least, from what she saw... how long until she lost Zinnath too...
