Since Zoey was in a direct need of cash right now she couldn't really pick and choose her job. So she probably should do whatever she could get her hands on. And the winner was... a cosplay cafe asking for employees for a day. Not really her first choice with her shy nature, but she never tried it. Who knows, just walk up to people, ask what they want and bring it to them a few minutes later. It couldn't be that hard, couldn't it?

It was still rather early once she arrived in her workplace for that day. She quickly was given an outfit and had a short talk with her boss. She didn't manage to say a lot but at least he didn't threw her out. After that she changed into a maid outfit that had a rather short skirt. That was counting the frilly bits with it, which made it look longer than it actually was. Zoey didn't really disliked the outfit. The manager also said she was cute in it. After that the bell went and the first customer came inside.

"Alright! go!" The manager said as he disappeared into the kitchen. presumably to see how the kitchen was doing. Maybe he found some people to work in there too? At any rate. As long as not too many customers came in she probably should be fine.

The first customers appeared to be 4 school children that came in rather briskly. They didn't seem to have much manners. Great... her first customers seemed to be difficult ones. Nonetheless, she needed to greet them.

"Good day,children... Would... you like... a table of four?" She quickly had to improvise on her wording. What to say didn't really come to her head so she quickly said what was on her mind immediately.

"Eh.. sure whatever." One of the boys casually sad. Up till now they only behaved bad-mannered. Hopefully it would stay with that for now.

"Alright, this way... Please." She quickly added the last words. As she guided the children to their table. After she handed a menu card to each of the children the bell ringed again. Signaling more potential customers.

She went to the door and... four more children appeared inside the room around the same age as the previous customers. It must be that time just before school that they come around here to eat. This time, maybe she knew what to say.

"Shall I bring you to a table of four?" She asked the young children that entered the place. Their reaction spoke books about what was in store for her.

"Don't worry lady. We can walk ourselves!" One girl said jokingly. At least she didn't sound like she was trying to be offensive. But it still didn't sit right with her that she was called a lady already. She was only 18 you know. She wasn't nearly old enough to be called lady... she could live with young lady though. Still they were her customers and she had to be polite, or at least try to.

"Alright then, take a seat where you want then." She said as she went to get more menu cards. She then went to take orders at the first children tables. As it seemed they have chosen already.

While it took a large amount of time for the children to finally select their meal Zoey was glad that she could deliver this order back to the kitchen. After that she would go see if the other children already had chosen their meal.

It didn't seem to be that way. It took them forever, even longer than the previous table. It was truly irritable, but Zoey would stay calm with a smile. It was her job to so, right? By the time the children had made up their mind and actually told Zoey what they wanted to eat and drink the previous table's children's order had already been finished. As soon as she arrived they swapped her note for the dinner the chef had prepared.

Swiftly she delivered it to their table. She noticed her balance falling, but luckily managed to place the tray on a table before anything happened, finding her balance back while she was at it too. She then went on calmer and gave the children their food without much ado. When she was finished she found that there were many more customers coming in.

As it was it was fine. A little hectic but at least work went smoothly. The children were served, but many more came in. Maybe they had a free day today? If so why all consider to come eat here? Was this place that popular. Zoey of course, had no idea. She just arrived her for the first time in the Capital city of crocus. Still it was nice to see all those smiling faces.

Wait a moment those children hadn't payed yet! They were moving towards the door quickly. Luckily Zoey could reach the door before they arrived there.

"Where do you think you're going?" Zoey said slightly irritated. She couldn't really care much about the other customers now. There were only children anyway here. It might also show the other children not to try the same thing.

"Oh... Big girl, won't you let us go? We really need to go to school!" One of the children tried. To which another girl on another table reacted.

"Liar! We don't have school today." Zoey's earlier thoughts were confirmed. Hence why so many children head towards this place today. A few more had entered since she delivered her first meal here, but still no adults in sight. If anything it looked more like a school than a cafe. If not for the three teens who just entered.

"Eh... alright alright, we give! Thanks Natalie, we won't forget this!" The boy said as his group payed what they owed the cafe. After which Zoey escorted the teens to a place for three. It certainly was getting crowded. Of course that didn't stop any more folks from coming in.

While underway the three teens surely knew how to make Zoey blush. They seemed to be pleased with it though. As they found Zoey to be very cute that way. Unfortunately it only encouraged them to hit some more on her.

"Eh... you sure? I think we really should go out this evening!" One of them said after she rejected him calmly. Try to stay calm Zoey! Sadly that was easier said than done. Even more people entered the cafe. The morning here was much more busy then she first imagined!

"I'am terribly sorry, but I really don't have time for that." Zoey said as polite as she could. Truly she needed to be well rested for the way back home. If she went out with anyone she wouldn't be well rested. But she also denied because he wasn't her type.

Soon morning turned into noon and different kind of people left and came and Zoey tried to serve them to their hardest as she could. Nothing out of the ordinary happened... Until these two guys came in.

At least they seemed to be friendly but... were all these embarrassing poses really necessary? Also, who actually took a device to take pictures with them to a cafe? It seemed like they were here more for her than for the main service. But... technically they weren't breaking any rules and they weren't harming anyone. So poor Zoey had no choice but to obey as she made different poses, every more emberassing than the last for the two customers.

"Oh!!! Cute!" One of them said as they took the last shot. Quickly taking their orders Zoey was glad to be away with them. They asked a few more shots when their delivery came, but this time Zoey was prepared a little better and managed to stay composed this time. When they first entered she certainly didn't expect people to take camera's to this place. There certainly seemed to be many children there though with the occasional teen. Why was this place so popular with children?

While serving to the other guests she was actually thinking why the needed mages for this job. While it must be awesome to have them, normal people could do this as well. It really was strange why they would ask mages when normal people could be rented much cheaper. This didn't make much sense to the young girl. But then of course her day up till now went rather well. The occasional kid that tried to leave without paying, random teens she never met hitting on her and the weird poses certainly made her feel uncomfortable. But she continued to serve the clients faithfully no matter what kind of story they had or whatever went wrong during the serving she would always do her best to solve it immediately. Luckily there was a calm period in the afternoon.

During which a particular customer entered the room. If Zoey had to name one thing at first glance that was strange about him was that he was about one of the only few normal adult men to enter.

Of course, she couldn't have been more wrong. There were a few other guests left mostly teenagers or older kids. But they all looked strangely at Zoey when she went to greet the new guest. Not that Zoey noticed this otherwise she would probably not have gone so self-assured.

"Welcome,Welcome. Shall I bring you to a table?" She asked the customer. She could see the customer was looking at her, as if he was calculating something. Eventually he started to speak. Maybe he expected to be greeted by a certain person or way. But Zoey knew none of that and the first was totally out of question.

"Eh... You're not calling me master?" He asked rather disappointed. Oh dear. He wanted to be called master. Hmm... Zoey didn't really feel like calling anyone master, but of course he was the customer and he wasn't doing anything wrong exactly. Nor would it disturb anyone so Zoey couldn't really see any problem with it. This was a cosplay cafe after all.

"Eh pardon me. Shall I escort you to your table, Master?" Zoey said quickly. Not only giving the client what he wanted but trying to speak a little more formal... It might not be her strong suit but she could try. The client seemed content with that as he gestured she could. After which Zoey brought him to his table.

For this time not many people entered the cafe. With the current kind of folks that came up she could probably handle them herself. Most customers didn't make more fuss than just looking at zoey in her skimpy clothes. By now she had gotten used to it though. At first it certainly was embarrassing. Actually it still is, very much so. Especially with a customer like the one that just came in. In time however she learned to steal her nerves a little against it. However, she didn't knew what was more in store for her.

"Alright, Master. Can I have your order please?" She said, again so formal as she could. The man was thinking holding a pen in his hand.

"Ah, yes..." He said. But he stopped shortly afterwards when he accidentally dropped his pen. Zoey of course, didn't realize he did it on purpose. So she leaned down to pick it up for him just like he wanted. When she handed it back to the man he was smiling widely.

"Ah yes, good job. You can bring me a beer." He said to fulfill his order he wanted to make earlier. Somehow Zoey thought that grin was creepy. Even then she had to bring him his beer. He was a customer after all. After also taking care of some other orders of more... easier clients his beer finally came up.

This time everything seemed to go alright. Just as Zoey tried to place the tray one the table she could feel her feet hit something. This caused her to clumsly fall on the ground and some of the beer landed on the man's body. This wasn't a good sign. Again, Zoey failed to notice that the man did this on purpose.

"Oh dear... Be more careful will ya!" He shouted angrily. Zoey was so afraid right now. She had no idea the man was merely playing with her and fooling around.

"Eh... OH so sorry... eh sorry! I'll wipe it off right away." She said as she went to get something to wipe it off. A few moments later she returned with towel. She then proceeded to wipe him all over his body. This was... very emberassing to say the least.

"I'am truly sorry, si... I mean master." She tried to apologize. When she went to get that towel earlier she had also ordered a new glass of ale for him. At least he didn't seem to angry about it anymore... He was smiling again. Why was he smiling when he had alcohol over him? Nothing seemed to make sense with this guy. She walked away to serve other customers. Not seeing the lusting eyes of the man looking at her body.

Luckily he didn't do much more to her after that. Aside from constantly watching her he didn't do much. The other customers were much more easy to deal with. Especially those that actually saw what happened seemed to take pity on her. Around six o'clock the man left and even left a tip behind for Zoey.

"Sorry for the trouble. It was great. Goodbye." He said as he walked out of the door.

"Alright master. Please come again." Zoey said back, but it was very likely the man was already to far away to hear her, and she couldn't leave the building for another 4 hours.

For which not much happened. Children entered the place, with and without parents. But those stopped coming around 20. For the last two hours it was mostly young adults and teens. They would also Ogle at her, but never really went to great lengths that man in the afternoon went through.

After she finished working she immediately went to search a place to stay. She was just so much more tired than she expected to be. Sleep would be a welcome release for now. She could start her journey back home tomorrow.
