[Job] Protect the Merchandise [Taji/Heero]

Heero walked through the streets of Era, the brick's were shining a particular color gray today, as it truly was nice outside. The market place was pretty packed; Heero made his way through it at almost a crawl. Stopping to eat just about everything on the way. He'd spent so many jewels just attempting too get from Magic Council HQ, too the mission board in town.

He took a huge bite out of an orange; moving towards the mission board whilst eyeing some stack of vegetables that he didn't remember seeing there yesterday. Man that corn looked good.

However; he pressed on. He was a Rune Knight now, not too mention Gemini's Key Holder. He should act more professional right? Not a chance, at least not in front of anyone he saw right now. His clothes were pretty professional and classy, albeit sort of adventurous. His blade, Ragnarok sat in it's scabard on his back, slung across his chest and hanging loosely.

Heero ran up and dumped the Orange peels in some vendors trash can; beaming at them as he turned and jogged away before a nasty look could be shot his way. Finally, he approached the mission board; ignoring the lanky looking young man a bit older than him with sharp features and tattoos, even though the man was wearing bright yellow and black.

Heero stood next too him, scanning the missions by taping a hand on his face. Eventually; he saw one that seemed like he'd meet some interesting people during. How soon that would start; he hadn't the slightest clue. His hand shot out at the same time as the guy in the yellow hoodies next too him. For the exact same page; their hands bumped and wrapped around the same sheet of paper.

Heero would turn too the guy; without releasing his grip on the paper.

"Is that really how you saw it? You grabbed it first." Heero's eyes narrowed for a moment as his brow furrowed. "The Rune Knights'll take it from here you delinquent." Heero attempted too tug the paper out of the guy's hand. Heero was just as delinquent as he was; however the other guy just didn't know it yet. Gemini's key holder continued too attempt tugging the piece of paper out of the guy's hand.

Heero absolutely refused too let this mission fall into this guys hands. Protection details weren't for some street thug with a yellow complex. He continued too tug back on the paper, stepping a step back for leverage. People started too stare; Heero absolutely did not care. He looked at a few passing folks and gave them a gentlemanly smile; before his expression switched back to straight murder and focused on the bumblebee clad swordsman.

"Taji Gates? Where do I know that name...eh who cares, I'm Heero, Rune Knight and Gemini Key Holder; you're not ready for the big leagues yet!" with that he took a step back and pulled hard. The paper seemed to shred itself in two almost instantly.

Heero stumbled back a step, holding his half of the paper in disbelief.

"You just couldn't let it go could you? Gosh..." he spoke at the same time as the man cursing him. He had no choice but too stare his half of the paper in his hand, and listen too what the guy had too say. He ended up being right. The only way anyone was getting paid for this mission now is if they worked together. "Fine...." Heero relented, looking a bit bemused, and then apologetic. "Er....sorry I called you a delinquent that was...very...delinquent of me." he rubbed his head, realizing if he'd be working with this person; he'd need to recount his earlier impression.

"Name's Heero..." he gave him a nod, this time with a genuine smile, regardless of their little clash. Upon meeting one another. "We should head too Magnolia asap then...present them with...these." he waved his half of the mission statement into the air once and almost laughed, snickering. "Let's have a go then, I suggest we get a carriage and ride it out." Heero was actually planning on sleeping the entire way there; which was the only reason he suggested this method of travel.

Heero looked on for a moment and made a face as Taji referred to himself as a dangerous man. "Was he really that skilled?", Heero was interested in seeing him in action and watched him with interest as he lit a smoke. Heero shrugged, as he read his half of the paper. Heero looked at his own, realizing that what Taji said was spot on.

"Indeed, we should probably get over there before they think no ones showing up for this Job...." he nodded after Taji concluded, setting off at a jog behind the fans and trails of smoke as Taji moved with the skill that only a person who was somewhat used too being in the big city could. Heero did his best to keep up, and didn't lose him. It would be hard too with all that yellow.

Eventually, Taji spoke as they came up too a rather large building. Heero would follow Taji as he went inside, allowing the elder young man too handle business with the Shipping Co. They got a name.

"Mr. Shen huh?" Heero commented as they left the warehouse. They hopped up onto the caravan, there were two horses; it was made of wood, pretty sturdy; with steel coated wheels. There was plenty of room for whatever cargo Mr. Shen wanted too load and bring back here too Era from Magnolia Town, so Heero didn't forsee any problems...yet at least. He'd hop up on top of the caravan lazily; getting into a sleeping position on the top of the wooden transport; leaving the reigns too Taji.

"Alright; try not too make it too bumpy will ya?" Heero stretched, and clasped his hands behind his head before leaning back and shifting around until he was comfortable.

Heero was sleeping so comfortably, a large anime bubble rose and shrank from his nose as he relaxed, the slight bumps in the road didn't even manage too wake him. Eventually; he heard a loud voice calling out too him. It woke him. He looked around in the sunlight; shielded his eyes for a moment and complaining about nothing in general before he realized he was in Magnolia Town.

He was still on top of the cart as he sat up, noticing several guys already loading and chucking crates in an assembly line, passing the crates, marked with runic symbols too one another and loading them onto the cart below Heero.

With comedic anime speed, Heero realized he'd been insulted and popped his head over the side of the cart in Taji's direction.

"Hey I'm workin' here!" Heero mocked as he rubbed his head. He decided too get off and help the guys best he could, before eventually climbing into the driver's seat and taking the reigns as they'd finish loading. "Fine, I guess I'll drive this time." Heero was an decent horseman, and was skilled at riding both them, and Camels. After Taji and the Merchant were safe and sound back on the caravan with him, he whipped the horses once lightly and clicked his teeth twice, pulling hard, but somewhat gently too their left as the horses turned around completely, and started out on the long road back towards Eras; leaving through the front gates of Magnolia.

Taji only laughed as Heero said he was working, Taji talked with the merchant some more about the details he was told while the men loaded the boxes onto the cart. After they were done Taji along with the merchant and Heero got aboard the cart, Heero now taking the reins. Taji sat Indian style on the top of the cart in an almost meditative stance while he looked out in every direction as they left Magnolia through the front gates. Taji could just feel the threat already, he knew that something would happen though not when or where it would happen. As Taji was looking off into the woods which surrounded the dirt road that they cart was on he noticed something out of the ordinary. He saw black, the forest was thick and of course there is bound to be shadows but Taji knew it wasn't a shadow it was much to dark of a solid black to be a shadow. Taji clutched the two 3 and a half foot long pieces of metal which rest on either of his hips that he could extend out to be 6 foot long spears. Without further warning all of the black that he had seen moved out of the woods and charged the cart from all sides. Taji jumped up from his seat and told Heero to pull the cart to a halt as he faced some of the bandits, there were 15 in total as there were 10 bandits who seems rather weak and then 5 thugs whom looked a bit more experienced in combat than the bandits did.

Without warning the bandits charged at Taji and surrounded Heero as well as quickly as they could. Taji was punched at by 3 different bandits and thugs as he made an attempt to dodge. Taji managed to dodge all 3 of the attacks with quick sidesteps then opened his palm and a bright light formed in his hand which molded its self into a ornately designed boa staff which resembled the marks of several gods of thunder under a much closer inspection. Once this weapon formed in his hand he half is horizontal and spun around in a circle in an attempt to knock away several of the bandits. Most of the bandits managed to block the actual attack but the effect of the weapon give it a high knock back force so all the bandits that managed to block this were kicked back 10 feet and the one bandit who hadn't been able to block was sent even farther back and suffered the pain of making contact with Taji's magic, he was out for the count. "Heh one down." Taji said as he looked over at Heero to see how he was doing.

Heero had been driving the caravan without so much as a hint of trouble. Too be honest he was about halfway asleep at the reigns when he noticed that Taji kept on flecking his eyes towards the surrounding tree lines on the side of the dirt road.

Heero shook himself into focus, smacking his lips a few times lazily. As he looked around with lazy eyes. However, his expression got more and more serious as he noted shadows seemed to be moving within the trees. He woke himself fully, and continued on, driving without so much as a hint of concern.

However when a rather large group of bandits burst from the tree line, brandishing scimitars and knives alike; Heero got this expression.

"O_O", his hands held in place with the reigns as he simply gawked at the sheer amount of them that had come too rid them of their shipment. Overkill, so Heero thought, as he realized Taji had already leaped from the caravan, and summoned a rather impressive looking rune staff, that sparkled with lightning upon it materializing. It was covered in runes, much as Taji's arms were covered in tattoo's.

In a whirling bat, Taji sent a group of bandits surrounding him sliding backward with kinetic force; and completely whacked one on the side of the face, sending him spinning too the ground. Heero stood too his feet, and performed quite the backflip so that he was standing on top of the caravan once more, the same place he'd slept earlier. From a ring on his belt, he unclipped the sparkling gold Zodiac Key of Gemini. He threw it into the air; as it whirled unnaturally in front of him.

"Open the Twin Gates! Gemini!" he finished the chant as he snatched the key from the air. Golden dust whirled about, as in a burst of smoke and stars, the two twins, Gemi and Mini appeared floating alongside him. "Let's do some damage boys!" as Heero spoke, they were already dancing and twirling mid-air floating around like kids. But at this statement, they righted seriously, and nodded.

Gemi zoomed towards Taji, touching him on the shoulder. In a whirl of smoke and a burst of lightning from above, a second, identical Taji stood next too the real one. Gemi Taji summoned the exact same bo staff that Taji had in his hands, whirling it and standing back too back with Taji for a moment. Mini had already flown up next too Heero and tapped him on the shoulder, forming an identical clone of him. Mini Heero stood back too back with Heero on top of the caravan.

Gemi Taji whirled his staff and leaped into the air, flipping several times mid-air with the bo staff before he began too glow with lightning. He exploded with electrical energy as he shifted into a streak of lightning, twisting towards a group of the bandits surrounding both Taji, and Gemi Taji. Crash of the Lightning God went off with thunderous effect. One bandit managed too dive too the ground and avoid the attack. The next three weren't so lucky. The streak of lightning that was Gemi Taji crashed through them, burning holes in their chest of ash, and even taking one bandits face completely off in an ash explosion. He'd skipped around and fried them in the time span of about five seconds; materializing next too Taji again and shifting back into Gemi Taji.

Mini Heero summoned Sylmeria, the Demon Sister as Mini Taji's Ragnarok began too glow. Mini Taji kicked off the side of the caravan rocking it as the horses neighed in protest. The two went spiraling off in a tandem twist covered in flame as seven strikes of sword, claw, and dragon tail whirled through a group of bandits...who all managed too dive away screaming as Sylmeria disappeared in a twist of flame.

The next thing Heero knew, the more rugged and ripped looking Thugs surrounded the caravan, climbing up it and leaping at Heero. He managed too move out of the way of three of them, all five of the tougher ones had climbed up in an attempt too get him after noting that the source of a lot of the field of combat was infact Heero himself. Three of them went sailing back down, either tripping off the caravan as they missed or just sailing by Heero completely. Two of them managed to get slashes in as they passed, knicking Heero across his shoulder and back.

Gemi Taji, still standing back too back with Taji after their lightning assault, was beset by a the remaining bandits alive, all six of them , surrounded and charged singling him out. He parried with ease, as sparks flew from their scimitars and his cloned bo staff. Three hits broke through, as Gemi Taji didn't wince, but rather looked annoyed, though clearly they had done some damage, his clothes said as much as the tree areas where he'd been hit were ripped.

Heero and Mini Heero simultaneously twisted and backflipped down too the back of the caravan, facing down the five thugs. They came ripping forward with four mighty slashes, both of them now wielding Ragnarok. Their first pair of whirling back too back slashes missed, but their second pair each slashed a Thug across the neck. Doing decent damage too them both.

Taji stood in anticipation as the bandits surrounded them, knocked a few of them back and even knocking one of them back gave him a slight moral boost. Suddenly what seemed like golden fairy dust seemed to rain down over the entire situation as two small, white creatures emerged. Taji knew about the celestial keys but he had never seen this one before. He quickly learned that it was the Golden Gemini key, he watched with a smirk as one of them floated over and touched his shoulder to become a copy of him and fought along side of him and used his same abilities. Taji couldn't help but be somewhat impressed after all he did get to watch himself fight pretty much. The other spirit touched Heero and become a replica of Heero and fought along side him. Taji glanced over to see Heero getting attacked by some of the stronger looking bandits as the clone Taji used his spells to knock out and possibly kill a good amount of the bandits.

Taji caught a glimpse of some of the stronger bandits jumping over the top of the cart as they missed Heero but two of them managed to catch him with their weapons. Taji focused again, "Legs of the lightning god!" He said as his legs began to glow a pure white color. Taji sweeped his leg across 3 bandits that were in front of him in an attempt to kick them with his powerful holy lightning infused leg. All but one of these bandits were hit directly with the kick, the kick was powerful enough to cause holy burn where his kick made contact with them and send them flying backwards and the one that had managed to block got knocked back five feet as well. Following up behind the sweep Taji spun around the front side of the clone Taji and slammed the other 3 bandits across the chest with his boa staff in an attempt to do the same thing he had just done with his sweeping kick. Like his kick, all but one of these bandits were hit directly, the block from the staff was powerful and painful as it sent the two that were directly hit back 15 feet as they'd slam into trees and the other was only sent back 5 feet and his arms radiated with pain where the staff had touched him.

Heero watched as Taji's legs essentially began whipping up lightning. The Lightning God slayer then proceeded too go whirling through the bandits, licking into them with his kicks and charging them or knocking them with such force that they passed out nearly immediately, or went flying backward.

The Lightning God Slayer didn't even bother too halt his movement, he whirled his bo staff as his kicks ended, stepping into the bandits and slapping them backward and sending a few flying like dolls once more in flashes of lightning as his staff made contact.

Gemi Taji circled near Taji as he ended his lightning bo staff whirl, leaving only two bandits remaining. Gemi Taji's own legs began too lick with lightning as, Legs of the Lightning God, began for the second time in battle. With augmented speed from the ability, Gemi Taji sprang forward and with a momentum stomp stepped into the face of one of the bandits crushing him into the dirt in a sizzle of lightning. Leaping from his face, adding damage; Gemi Taji whirled and kicked the last bandit square in the side of the face with a whirling kick mid-air, as the bandit attempted too back pedal away. Too no avail. Gemi Taji landed at a slide near Taji, whirling his own bo staff next too him.

Back behind the carriage, Heero would turn his blade sideways as it began too blink with white light rapidly. Suddenly, a vortex of red and black energies twisted into the area at a sudden and quick haunting scream, swallowing Heero up into it's vortex and twisting on itself, vanishing in a twist and leaving only a few flecks of red and black light where he'd been standing.

The five experienced Thugs looked confused for a moment, but then began looking around. Another sound like a screaming banshee erupted from their left as another vortex of pure darkness and red light twisted onto the scene. Heero emerged, twisting once and swinging his blade. A massive crescent of red and black light ripped ahead of him, tearing through the ground and kicking up rubble as two of the thugs were caught by it, sending them spiraling too the ground. The other three managed too duck and dive out of the way when they'd heard the banshee like noise once more.

Heero would land at a slide through the destroyed pavement as the Thugs came leaping through the smoke kicked up. An epic back pedal of Heero dodging and sidestepping would ensue as the thugs swiped at him at impressive speeds; impressively still, Heero managed too fully back pedal out of the way; catching Mini Heero focusing in their direction out of the corner of his eye as he back pedaled away, ducking and whirling. With a mighty leap backward, he'd step and then again move backward with another stepping hop too give Mini room too work.

Mini Heero would then turn his blade, as it too began too blink with white light rapidly. Sylmeria the Dragon Sister appeared, floating above the thugs about ten feet in front of Mini Heero. She'd flap her wings once, causing a nice drift around the thugs with levitation for a moment as she inhaled, her cheeks puffing in retrospect.

A rather large wave of fire was expelled from her mouth in a stream, with all the noise of a howling flame. She whipped it around like a gigantic snake or whip from her mouth as it licked through the ground and air for a few moments. The sound of a mighty flame vacuuming away went off as Sylmeria twisted in flame and disappeared.

All of the Thugs backpedaled and dodge rolled out of the way of the flames, as small embers and ashes floated through the air at a whim now, dispersing slowly.

Taji watched as his clone proceeded to finish off the bandits that were left standing from his quick and deadly assault, glancing over towards Heero and his clone. He noticed a Lady in the air flying with wings like that of a dragon inhale a deep breath as he cheeks puffed out. Without warning a torrent of fire was hosed out of her mouth and whipped all around the area that the Thugs had been standing in what was obviously an attempt to incinerate them so that they were nothing more than mere crisps of what they had been before. Luckily for the Thugs they seemed to have managed to dodge roll out of the way of this seemingly deadly attack from the Lady, as soon as she was finished breathing fire she vanished just as quickly as she had appeared.

After witnessing his clone finish off the last of the bandits which he had not managed to finish off with his kicks or whacks from his staff, Taji sprinted off around the front side of the cart at much faster than what his full speed would be had he not had Legs of the lightning god enabled. Each long strike he made kicked up dust as he moved at high speeds and as soon as he was within view of the thugs around the corner that were attacking Heero and the Heero clone Taji used his spell Crash of the Lightning God on one of the thugs which stood around Heero that looked like it had already taken some damage. His body turned into pure white lightning and zapped at the speed of lightning attempting to nail the thug square in the back as he planned to materialize right his foot extended at the thugs back the moment of contact so that he'd receive damage from both crash of the lightning god and a powerful kick from his god legs. His lightning strike landed right on the mans chest as he turned around just in time to notice the attack, his kick landed solid on his arms which he crossed in front of the kick, taking away the brunt of the force but the electricity from both his leg and the crash was enough to know him out cold. Taji pushed the guy over with the kick and slid to a half on the ground next to Heero.

Heero's eyes flecked too his left, as Taji seemed to run at super-human speed. Kicking up dust as he slid too a halt onto the scene behind the cart, dust kicking up in the wake of his trail.

"Yoi yoi! Not bad for a couple of delinquents eh?!" Heero shouted too the merchant who was inside of the cart, probably pacing or shaking with fear. He yelled back at Heero aggravated.

"Just hurry up and chase them off!" Heero made a comical face at this statement as he held his sword in front of him low with two hands, pointed towards the ground.

"I don't think they're leaving!" he yelled back with a mild amount of attitude.

Suddenly, Heero's eyes were drawn back towards combat as Taji twisted and burst into a trail of white lightning. A loud sizzle passed through the air as he scorched through a Thug, the lightning twisted and formed back into Taji as he performed a whirling thud of a kick into the thug as he fully extened a leg into him, causing a loud noise too shake through the environment.

The thug fell over, toppling down face first. Heero smirked as both Mini Heero, and Gemi Taji appeared at his side, landing next too him at a crouch.

"Let's go!" the three of them darted forward, zig zagging left too right in their approaching V-formation towards the thugs. The two Heero's drug their sword along the dirt, creating trails of dust behind them, as Gemi Taji whirled his bo-staff during the run, licking lightning everywhere.

Heero charged forward first out of their shifting V formation with a "suuuudeeeyaaaah!" blade locking with a thug who raised his scimitar just in the nick of time. Heero stepped forward, hulkisly attempting too gain a strength advantage over the larger man.

Mini Heero twisted out of formation and whiffed with a horizontal slash that she/he'd thrown it's weight into. That thug flipped around, impressively, rolling away in the dirt.

Gemi Taji stepped forward towards another thug, the last one out of the formation. He spun his bo-staff behind his back as it licked with lightning, bat slapping the thug too the left, before quickly revesing Kilik style in a whirl of lightning in the other direction and slapping him even harder; a shower of lightning and sparks went off as the momentum from the bo-staff continued into a fancy bo-staff kata of pure style. Gemi Taji whirled it off his back, caught it at a twirl and took a combat stance once more. Yep. Gemi definitely had his memories.

The thug slid across the dirt, face first and stopped. Down for the count.

While Heero and his two Gemini clones charged at the three remaining bandits Taji took this as the perfect time to sneak attack the enemy, he was getting a little annoyed of fighting these thugs since they had no real fighting skill or at least not enough to be able to keep up with Taji and Heero. Taji took off to the left as he ran around the cart at his increased speed because of his legs of the lightning god. He knew his Lightning Staff of the gods was about to run out though he could keep up his legs of the lightning god for a few more minutes. Darting around the cart and making sharp turns as he did so, he spun the staff around at a high speed by his side making the staff spin so fast that the after images seemed to form together and make it look as if Taji was holding a large circular shield of some sort. Coming around to the backside of the thugs Taji made it around just in time to see the assault that Heero and his gemini clones had just put on the thugs as Taji had been running around.

Taji sprinted towards the bandit who had hit the ground and tried to roll away from an attack. Taji took this opportunity to start smashing the ground beneath him where the thug had laid on the ground several times in am attempt to smash the thug under the powerful force of his staff. The thug would need to consider himself lucky that he was able to move out of the way of Taji's attacks because any one of them had enough power behind them to force him into the ground partly. Moving on from this attack Taji turned his head to the right suddenly and found another opponent not to far away, pointing his finger at the thug a powerful white light seemed to form then suddenly a thick beam of sheer white lightning shot forth from his finger right at the thug, if he didn't make any attempt to dodge it the spell would be able to tear a hole right into the thugs chest. The thug noticed the bright beam of white lightning at the last second and dodged just enough to have it merely graze his shoulder.
