[BP] The Ashen Regalia Empty [BP] The Ashen Regalia

Post by Terith 2nd August 2016, 6:47 am

Job Title: Starting Small: The Ashen Regalia
    Rank: D Rank
Player Requirements:All participating members must be part of the guild Blue Pegasus. Minimum of three monster rolls, max of 10 monster rolls. Must defeat boss.
Job Requirements: Minimum of 300 words per post, at least 10 posts per thread.
    Job Location: Phoenix Mountains
    Job Description:
A letter arrives with your name(s) scribbled unto the front and had been delivered to you lot by ways of a white dove, and when you (and your mates) open the letter(s) accordingly, the script almost flutters off the page as your brain slowly processes the message with a clear and powerful voice reverberating through out your head(s):

"Greetings, newly enlightened one(s)! Welcome to the guild of heroes, and as much as we admire your willingness to join our ranks, we first need to address your capability of understanding what triumph and loss mean to a budding warrior like you, and as such, we're giving you a chance to prove yourself/yourselves by garnering your first achievement! When evening draws, climb up the ragged trails that shift through Phoenix Mountains and intercept a growing evil that is promptly fit for a match against brilliant talents like you. A glorious reward awaits at the peak of the mountains that should be revealed to you at dawn.

When you turn this letter, you will see a map, use it to navigate through the mountains. Good luck, and may the old legends be with you as you forge ahead!"

Your primary objective is to halt the processes of the Ashen Regalia, a cult of a fire demon who've kidnapped citizens from the neighboring towns for sacrifice. The necessary directions are imprinted on the back of each letter.
    Enemies:

    Weak:
    The Alduron (Five Abducted Villagers):
As you walk the narrow roads, you start to hear depressing sounds rattling from the dark. A caravan seems to have passed the same route as you, and in the slow-moving cart is an ensemble of abducted citizens of many ages, their hands and feet bound by impressive metal chains and their skin sullied by scars and bruises. To save these poor souls, you must defeat their caravan guard, the Alduron, who also serve as their driver, a cloaked figure whose gender seems unclear, a white mask with gold swirls adorning their face. You'll be able to take this man out with one D-rank spell provided that you do it stealthily, as the Caravan Guard owns a horn that could potentially call back-up if ever. Roll an attack die, and if it lands, the caravan guard dies with their body disintegrating into a sooty substance. If it doesn't, then the Guard kills two villagers swiftly by reducing them to ash with black flames, then proceeds to blow his horn, summoning three normal mobs to deal with you and your group. The Alduron will now need 2 D-ranks to be defeated at this point in time.

    Normal:
    The Aldeva (Ten Abducted Villagers):
A creature with a gruesome appearance appears before you as you make your way through the roads. It is entirely made of a soot-ish like material, forming a large, bulky body with several heads jutting out of its torso. These heads appear to be ever-screaming with their hollow eyes and mouths. It will attempt to pummel you, punch you hard, or bind you in between it's arms to sink you into its ash-y chest with purpose of suffocation. All it's attacks will deal a relative C-rank damage, and it'll go down with six D-rank spells as well. If the Alduron summoned this mob, you will need three D-ranks in total to snuff each one of them out.  Once defeated, the Aldeva's body will melt into ash, revealing ten villagers cloistered together, thank the gods that they're still alive.

    Strong:
The Adruron (Three Abducted Villagers) x5:
After navigating the path that leads deep into Phoenix Mountains, you stumble upon a large bonfire erupting in a great burst of flames overhead. Around the fire are several cloaked figures with silvery white masks, strange emblems marking their hands. They appear to be mumbling consistently into the flame in an incomprehensible string of words. They use a type of flame magic whose fumes can make you gag when inhaled, and they will, every 2 posts, use smoke to cloud the surrounding area when they feel threatened that will last for 3 posts. The smoke will make it harder for you to see unless you find a way to disperse it. Once you defeat them, several abducted villagers will emerge from the bonfire, seemingly unscathed.

    Boss:
    The Greater Flame, Adelia:
Following the path even further leads you to a make-shift shrine of sorts, just below the peak of a mountain. Once you approach this shrine, a large fire will push you and your group back with a force that deals C-rank damage unless blocked. The wood of the shrine will begin to burn and from the fire forms a woman's figure made of a pure black flame. She will immediately attack the person who first approached the shrine. Every other post, Adelia will use an attack that involves a spinning motion that releases a continuous stream of flames around her that could potentially deal C-rank damage on the initial hit and a D-rank burn damage across the wound that'll stay with you for two posts unless you heal yourself. Her fighting style resembles a kind of martial art that involves fans, so consider her move-set to be akin to a fire dancer. She's weak to water/ice attacks, but is very tolerable to wind and earth attacks, while completely negating fire attacks. All her flames deal C-rank damage. Hit her with 10 D-ranks and you'll eventually manage to conquer her spirit, albeit momentarily, reducing her to ash. At her defeat, you will discover a special spherical bottle, colored red, from beneath her ashes. You have the choice to destroy her shrine, but it will make another BP job much more difficult.

For every two posts (meaning posts from the players), Adelia will use her strongest attack that conjures a large burst of fire from within her being. This power actually spreads through out the mountains and will travel to the closest non-magical being in sight. This spell will not deal you any harm, but it will kill five abducted villagers regardless of where you left them. Roll a block die for them, and if its successful, they have managed to evade it somehow, but if it's not, five of them will be reduced into ash instantaneously.

    Reward:
    - An initial 5k, along with 1k for every five villagers you have managed to rescue with a 10k jewel maximum.
    - Normal D-rank XP
    - Recognition from the neighboring villages

*For the first time you complete this job:
    - The Rising Dawn: Upon climbing up to the peak just above Adelia's Shrine, you notice a pole jutting upwards, and upon closer inspection, the words "In Failure We Thrive, for Triumph Do We Strive" is scrawled across the pole. On this pole is a brightly glowing fire that you will need to in-case in the spherical bottle you found from Adelia's ashes. When one of you successfully put it into the bottle, it'll sparkle with a brilliant light that'll blend in nicely with the sunrise. This item allows you to "burn" 5k jewels for another ounce of XP equivalent to that of your rank (which makes this double XP), while burning 10k jewels grants you two extra ounces of XP equivalent to your rank (which makes it triple XP). You can only use this item for other BP related jobs (which you can use on this job, too).

[BP] The Ashen Regalia Empty Re: [BP] The Ashen Regalia

Post by Guest 3rd August 2016, 3:30 pm

    Spoiler:

    Hello there~
Only two things need to be tweaked and you're good to go.

There needs to be a set maximum amount of jewels someone can earn. Please add a cap of about 10k-20k.

For "The Rising Dawn" it may only grant 50% more jewel on a job once or twice. But that is it.

Please bump the thread when the edits are made. ^^

Sorry this took so long lul. Forgot this was a thing. xD

I've adjusted the jewel cap, but I'm not so sure about the other edit. The Rising Dawn doesn't exactly grant you more jewel, it uses up a player's jewel reward from this job and turns it into 3x XP of the player's rank initially. But just in case, I've raised the conditions for the XP gain. Hopefully it'll be enough.

The other edit was meant to be a cap for how many times someone can use the Rising Dawn before it no longer becomes usable. They can only use it on one or two jobs but that is it. ^^
