Note: This is the notebook written by 7's creator / father. These are only the noteworthy notes in the notebook (repetetiveness), but if this book were to ever be brought up IC it'd be filled with notes from every day after the creation of 1.
- 09/25:
- This is Dr. Alexander Edwards' notebook. This will be my recordings of my progress through my newest experiment and alchemy ritual, trying to birth life from the blood of others'
- 10/3:
- Today was the day I finished getting my blood supply from the various evil beings from around Earthland. Alone, the little drops of blood I have now will not create a being strong enough for my liking, but combined - he'll have power enough to rival each of them!
- 10/9:
- I have started my first experiment. The creation, Number 1, turned out to be a complete success. I hadn't expected success on my first attempt at the alchemic ritual, however I shall know from now on to not doubt my own abilities.
- 10/10:
- One day after the success I found Number 1 dead, laying in a puddle of his own blood. Apparently tying him down with ropes is not enough to keep him from getting loose, and he seemed to fracture his head on something in the lab. The body and power of Number 1 was flawless, however his mental ability is much more lacking than I expected.
- 10/28:
- My second successful body was created today, this time it was female rather than male like the first. She seems to not have control over her power, and her magic is significantly weaker than Number 1s. Number 2 is inferior to Number 1 in every sense except intellect, that she seems to be excelling in. Only hours after being created, Number 2 knows how to eat from a fork, as well as speak very simple words such as "Papa," having I taught her the meaning. I won't terminate Number 2 just yet, I must keep her as a reference point.
- 11/15:
- Today Number 3 was created. Male, this one surprisingly looks much different. 3 is intruiging, as he has brown hair instead of blonde, and his eyes are completely black, looking more like a demon. His skin is darker than the other two, and he seems much younger. Unlike 2 and 1, who seem to be adults, 3 has a teenaged body. Also, he isn't intelligent like 2, he is just all around violent. I needed to chain him down three seconds after creation, having almost died by the hands of this creation.
- 11/17:
- Number 3 - terminated. Killed by number 2. I don't know what it was that brought her to it, as I wanted to see if the evil inside number 2 was just deep down inside of her. I left them in a room, with a toy truck, a knife, and a bowl of soup. I wanted to see how they'd react to one another, and as I expected 3 attacked 2. However what surprised me was Number 2's reaction, she apparently knew that sharp things can kill people, and knew that the throat was a vital point of the body. Her intelligence is growing very fast.
- 11/30:
- Number 2 - terminated. I had to terminate Number 2 because she tried to kill me. Unlike Number 3, which was just a violent burst of rage, she was smart about it. She knew what she could use as a weapon, to strike me when my guard was down, this all seemed to planned. I had to terminate her.
- 12/5:
- Number 4 was just created. Male, another defective like Number 3, I had to terminate him because of the defect in his body that was unlike 3. 4 appeared to not have bones in his entire left arm, and he was created without eyes. Such a defective would not be ideal for my findings.
- 1/15:
- After spending so much time away from research, I have created another body. Number 5 seems to have the same assets as Number 2, but on a much smaller scale. He knows how to drink from a bottle, and can't speak yet. However, his magic power seems much stronger than Number 2's, so 5 might be the ideal body after all.
- 2/28:
- Number 6 was just created. Female this time, she seems extremely passive unlike some of the bodies before her. She doesn't seem as intelligent as Number 5, whom after a month can safely eat with a spoon and speak in simple sentences, Number 5 can't even drink from a bottle without help. Much like Number 3, her body is younger, teenaged. However her hair, eye, and skin color is all the same as those other than 3. Her magic power is insanely powerful, however. I fear I may have to terminate her before she gets ahold of number 5, whom she has no knowledge of at the moment.
- 3/4:
- Number 6 and 5 - terminated. 6 went into a fit of rage and killed Number 5 and herself with a spell when I tried to have them interact with one another. I'm glad I wasn't killed as well, but I must keep going.
- 3/21:
- Number 7 was created, and he seems to be exactly like number 6 before him. However, his body is adult aged, and he looks exactly like Number 1 from all those months before. His magic power was insanely high just like number 6, so I've decided to put a seal on him to make him follow the ranks of a normal mage, growing in power over time. I'll not make another body until I either terminate number 7, or find him well enough to go outside of the lab.
- 4/1:
- Today was magnificent to say the least. Number 7 learned how to eat with a spoon not long after just being bottle fed, simply because he copied me. If his mind is this easy to learn and take in information, I must beware when doing things around him.
- 4/16:
- I took a vaccine and gave it to 7, but he squirmed in his chains to the point where I nearly broke the needle. I now realize he has yet to experience pain, so tommorow I'll put him through some painful trials to build his tolerance, but not enough to kill him.
- 4/18:
- Yesterday Number 7 learned a lot. When I exposed him to a hot coal, and then took the coal out of the room and brought it back in, he didn't want anything to do with it. Today, when I tried to give him another immunization he feared for his life just at the sight of the needles.
- 5/2:
- 7 has been allowed to walk free around the lab, and I've even left sharp tools and dangerous things around areas he shouldn't go or I didn't want him near. He doesn't understand that I don't want him in my living quarters, however once I hung a knife from the door he completely stayed away from it. He also has taken to speaking, but can't speak more than a few words.
- 5/26:
- I have, for the past few weeks, been trying to teach 7 how to properly speak. He isn't catching up on grammar, only just picking up words every now and then. When I try to teach him proper grammar, he seems to get angry and storm off like a child in swaddling clothes.
- 6/8:
- Today was odd. 7 went into my living quarters, so I thought the best way to discipline a child's mind would be to discipline him like an actual child. I took his hand, and smacked it with a ruler three times, and he screamed, and pushed me away from him. His magic level spiked even with the seal I placed on him, and I had to quickly comfort him to be able to get him back to normal.
- 6/31:
- On the last day of the month, I decided to test that outburst again. I chained 7 up and then took a ruler, and smacked his hand again. He screamed in retort, and when I smacked him again his magic level spiked. When I smacked him one last time he had a sort of transformation from emotional distress, changing into something like number 3 or 6. I left the room, and after an hour came back to check on him. 7 seemed to be fine, and he just asked why I did that to him. He seems to find me as his biological father, and looks up to me like one. 7 does seem very different from those before him, but so far he seems to be a success.
- 7/5:
- Today I've given 7 a name, Alp. I based this name on the demons of nightmares, considering that powerful distress mechanism is the fruit of nightmares. 7 seems to like the name Alp, so that is what he should call himself, because I've never reffered to him as "7" before, so for all he knows, Alp is his name.
- 7/10:
- I took more tests of 7. He seemed to be afraid of, yet used to the pain of needles. I drew some of his blood, and compared the concentration of the blood to that of each of the samples, and it doesn't match up with any of them. When I combined the blood samples together, it still didn't match. Then I realized I gave him also a sample of my own, and once I put a drop of my blood in, it was a match. I can say that number 7 was a complete success.
- 3/21:
- Months went by, and it is, to him, what normal people call a birthday. Over the past few months he's been nothing but obediant, so I decided to get him a gift. I also used this as a sort of test. I got two gifts, one the real birthday gift, the other for the test. The fake gift was a stuffed animal, the real one being a pet puppy. I figured he'd like the dog, but I didn't know how he'd react to the stuffed one. To my surprise, he liked them both equally, but didn't know what either of them was. He just seemed to like petting them, and had no concern for feeding or bathing the dog. He didn't even give the dog a name, or ask what it was.
- 4/22:
- Considering the success of this experiment, I've decided to let him go join a guild. This would be good for him, as he can learn things that I couldn't teach him, as well as gaining knowledge of the dark guilds that I want him to one day control. This can be good, this can be bad. If 7 dies, then I'll create a new one and use the success of 7 as a reference point for number 8. I can only hope that he doesn't die, because he has been a 100% success.
