So a job to get a free nifty item for free and to see a bit of the world? That deal was just too juicy for Zoey to let go. Sure that might involve talking to other people but she could just prepare for that up in advance. She was certain that she could do this!
After getting the job she set up and left for the neutral grounds. The journey was a little less exciting than she had expected. Except for that one moment with that strange green creature, a broom and a ball of yarn. Her curse also activated itself a few times on the way. Luckily nobody saw her, or so she thinks at least. it's not impossible that someone was watching her. She didn't knew now nor would she ever.
Once she actually arrived at the her destination. She felt a little weird, what was it when she stepped inside the city. Somehow, this place felt rather bad for her. She probably could ask someone else, but that would be difficult for her. Maybe it was better if she headed straight to the factory and get that device then head back home. that alone would be difficult enough in itself for the shy young girl. That decided she decided that she should head towards the factory.
Only to realize about one hour later that she had no clue where this factory actually was. This was rather depressing. Now she had actually no choice but ask someone. Let's see... Maybe that young boy with black hair would do.
"Excuse me... Do you know the way to the Ilac factory?" She asked the young man. She was unsure if she actually did ask it right, but the boy helped her out without much ado.
"Sure, just head straight ahead and turn to your left at the third street. Then take the second street right. Should be there." He said. But Zoey didn't really say much back.
"Eh thanks!" And off she was. With a big sigh. At least she managed to get the info she needed. Now off to the factory where she was supposed to get a new gadget. She also wondered why they were giving them away for free though? That sounded a little counterproductive. But whatever did she knew about it? It wasn't like she was complaining! Of course she wanted free new stuff.
When she finally arrived at the gate it didn't seem like there were many people for being able to get a cool free item. She took a deep breath and entered the factory. Inside was a rather simple entrance room. Some decoration was around the walls with windows, plants and some chairs. A young lady at the counter just over the entrance began talking to her.
"You here for the Ilac?" She asked. She sounded really bored, but Zoey couldn't really help with that.
"Eh... yea." She simply answered. Should be good enough, right? The woman at the counter seemed to think so. But shortly after she said so something in her activated. It couldn't be... her curse? Of all the luck she had. this place prevented magic, but curses still worked even here? The woman at the desk quickly gave her a lacrima.
"Now, a good day to you and I hope you further enjoy the use of your new Ilac and any other of our products." She said as she continued to work with whatever she was after that. Zoey quickly left the building biting on her lip in pain hoping to suppress the curse until she was a small distance away from the building at least before it became too bad to move.
