Abilities:
Rank: Artifact
Type: Staff
Description:
- Ataraxia:
Strengths:
- Made from Tungsten and alloyed with steel, the durability of the weapon is stronger than most others (160HP)
- The user's unarmed melee damage is boosted by an extra 12HP when S-rank, equaling to 37HP in total
- 9ft in length allows for further distance in which the user is able to attack other people without needing to worry
Weaknesses:
- While it has a better durability that most other weapons, it's still capable of breaking after its HP hits 0
- The weapon still requires to be used in close combat range, (i.e. it's only 9ft long, which is 3m and considered close combat)
- As this weapon is just an extension of the user's magic, the abilities may not always work against certain types of magic
- The sharp blades can accidentally hurt an ally, such as poking their eye out or cutting into their skin
Abilities:
- Ice Ward:
Name: Ice Ward
Rank: A
Duration: 7 posts
Cooldown: 8 posts
Description: When the weapon senses that the user's life is in potential danger, a danger that they are not able to defend well against on their own, it'll throw up a barrier. This barrier is just as its name foretells; it is made completely made from frost and ice and surrounds the user's entirety. Meaning, an 180° barrier is drawn up and around the user to protect them from any oncoming spells or physical attacks. It takes a total of 3 A-rank spells in order to bring down this shield, equaling the shield's durability to be that of a mythical weapon's durability. Whereas, it would take around 20 physical A-rank attacks (unarmed) to be able to bring down the shield in its duration. While it is meant to protect the user, the user is able to conjure up the barrier in order to protect a small group (5) of allies. However, as the shield is made up of entirely frost and ice, this means that fire magic deals 75% more in damage to it.
Strengths:- The weapon is capable of sensing when the user is in danger and can throw up a barrier at its will
- Once brought up, the barrier can protect either the user or a small group (5) of allies from 3 A-rank spell attacks
- Most barriers are often only a circular type of barrier that stands in front of the user, but this barrier is 180°
Weaknesses:- As the barrier is made completely of ice and frost, it is more vulnerable to fire magic, receiving 75% more in damage from them
- The user has to choose between protecting themselves or protecting their allies if the barrier does not go up on its own
- If the barrier goes up on its own, the user is not capable of stepping outside of it and allies are not capable of stepping inside of it
- Higher ranked spells, such as S, SS, or H-rank spells are capable of destroying the barrier in a single hit or more
- The weapon is capable of sensing when the user is in danger and can throw up a barrier at its will
- Ice Explosion:
Name: Ice Explosion
Rank: S
Duration: 10 posts
Cooldown: 11 posts
Description: The weapon is capable of sensing when its user is in danger and can throw up an explosion of ice around the user in a 3-meter radius. This explosion allows the weapon to receive damage instead of the user, reducing opponents' spell damage by 50%. However, as the explosion of ice is literally just a cloud of snow forming around the user in a mimic of an explosion, not all damage is prevented. What this means is that the user still receives 50% of the spell's initial damage, but 50% of it is always removed for the next 10 posts. Likewise, the user is capable of casting out the protection spell in order to protect one other ally that is with them. Their ally must be in a range of 100m for the user to be able to cast the ability on them ad protect them from damage. Unfortunately, higher ranked spells to the ability do not have their damage reduced, only equal to or lower in rank spells do.
Strengths:- This ability can reduce the damage of incoming spells, that are meant to harm the user, by 50%
- If the user so chooses, they can cast this ward on one of their allies, so long as they are in 100m of the user
- It's a pretty cool explosion that has a radius of 3 meters in width and a height of 5 meters above the user
Weaknesses:- As the explosion is made from ice, snow, or frost, it receives an extra 75% in damage from fire magic
- Higher ranked spells do not have their damage reduced for the duration of the ability, only equal to or lower in rank
- If the user's ally is not visible to them, then they cannot cast the protection ward on the ally until they can be seen
- Damage is only reduced by half, so the user or ally still receives half of the spell's initial damage that was intended
- This ability can reduce the damage of incoming spells, that are meant to harm the user, by 50%
