The Dragon's Challenge [Job/Vlad & Isaac]

"Ahhh... shit."

It was late in the evening, and the sun had already fallen. Dusk had just reigned over the skies as nothing but clouds would paint the sky ever so coolly.

In the quiet streets of Clover Town resided a young man, about forty two, who had just experienced some rather interesting events as of late. Only one light was on in this residence, and it was on the lowest floor, an area which one would think is a living room space.

In was in that same illuminated area where a brutish man, standing about six feet and six inches, sprawled over his large, brown leathered couch with a bare chest and long, black pants held together by two stylish belts. He body seemed to be muscle to the core, as his chest and arms were covered and seemingly ceremonial tattoos. He had long, dark blue hair and crimson eyes, all coming together to form a face that could menace anyone.

The middle aged man crossed his arms behind his head and grunted, completely in a grumpy mood at the moment."'You'll need to stay in this form for a bit in order to break in the tattoos, Isaac' he says. Honestly, what the hell. Wearing my largest clothes, hmph..." Isaac sighed before flipping his legs over the side of the couch and getting up.

Frankly, it had only been a few weeks since he had gotten the markings, and they still ached, but it was certainly something new. Isaac walked up and over to his cabinet and pulled out an entire bottle of his 'fancy' liquor. "Alllllright then..." He sighed, looking down at the bottle as he closed the cabinet doors, but before he did so, he peeked into it's storage and realized that this was the last of the liquor he currently had. "...Well, why the hell not? Gives me a good reason to go outside." He convinced himself before completely shutting the cabinet and heading towards the door.

Grabbing his white coat and wrapping it around his neck, he headed towards the door, switching off the lights before heading out. - On his way out, he noticed how absolutely silent it was. Both left and right on the same road, not one person peeped. He simply stood there awkwardly holding his alcohol, not quite sure where to start. "...Why did I come out here again?... Hm?"

As he turned, he realized that something was poking out from his mailbox, some sort of sealed envelope. Curious and seemingly lost, he reached for his mailbox and unraveled it's contents, it read as follows;

"Salutations, please come to the top of the Sky Tower as soon as possible for your quest with your partner."

Possibly one of the shortest letters he had ever read before, Isaac simply glared down at the letter and crumbled it within his hand after a moment to process the events. The hell? Is this some sort of love letter type of crap?... I'll go anyways, why not.

....Again, one of the most impulsive decisions he had made, he had nonchalantly tossed the paper to the ground and headed for the Tower, taking note that he had navigated there before this letter, mainly for investigation. Isaac simply groaned and headed towards the train station.

After two train rides and a carriage ride, Isaac arrived at the very entrance to the Sky tower...

It had a plain design and seemingly hundreds of steps, enough to reach to the clouds, but it certainly deemed worthy of a tourist attraction. "Ahh... still as freakishly large as usual. Whatever." He grunted before raising the tip of his bottle of liquor to his lips and biting the cap off, taking large sips of it while awaiting his partner.

"The largest tower of its kind. It reaches beyond a few clouds and has a magnificent view of all of Fiore. It is a very plain design that consists of blue strips over white. It is a popular tourist attraction but it is only open on once a week." as tourists label it, and they are certainly correct. It was a big ass tower which some genius thought it would somehow be a magnificent idea to spend millions of jewels building a gigantic tower that touch the clouds with no true purpose.... amazing.

By this time, nearly a third of the bottle's contents had been lost and down his gullet. A full moon had broken out of it's cloudy prison and into the not-so-clear night sky. It was on nights like these that the worst happened. And arguably, the worst has already happened to Isaac tonight. He ran out of liquor... which was a pure disappointment. Isaac could often be labeled an alcoholic with extremely high tolerance, which is often left unnoticeable.

But the pleasure of solitude was soon interrupted when the most smart assed kid waltzed in as if he was an actual threat. Which, he wasn't, to a degree. His magical presence seemed to be only a tier's weaker than his, but he still couldn't take him seriously.

Irritated, Isaac raised a brow and chugged down a nice portion of the liquor before wiping his mouth. "Oh hey, Tiny Tim. I admire your bravery to let such smart ass comments pass your lips but I think you need to learn to respect your eld- Wait, what the hell? I'm forty two! Ohhhh... that's it."

Isaac chugged down the rest of his liquor and threw the bottle at him while licking his lips, much like some sort of beast that licked the remains of blood from their fangs after a strike. With a clear amount of magical propelling, Isaac leaped back to increase the distance between the two by about seven meters, knowing that he'd need a comfortable distance for what Isaac was about it do.

He spat, and grunted, "ReQuip: Betties! Heh heh..."

In that moment, two shotgun tonfas materialized over his arms, ready for action. "Don't take this the wrong way, Tiny Tim, but that's not normally the first thing you say on a first date!" Now... Isaac was simply confused, the letter did seem like something you would see in a movie. Some sort of shy, introverted heroine who wanted to meet with he hunk in private to confess their love in private. Well... this area was certainly private. Not a single soul in sight. It was dark and peaceful... and he didn't think that this heroine would be so young and masculine, but.. what's done is done.

Isaac seemed to be just as twisted about the situation as this young man. About seven meters away at this point, Isaac clicked the triggers to the weapons, sending two bullets at him with significant speed.

Isaac couldn't help but snicker to the sudden change in events. A sudden spark in magical presence arose just below him as his crimson eyes grazed the ground. A toothy smirk morphed to his lips before quickly and swiftly outstretching his hand and commencing another ReQuip summoning.

"ReQuip: Sukoshi Bumu!"

A nice, decently sized grenade launcher materialized into his grasp as he instantly charged forward at roughly sprinting speed, firing a sticky grenade at the ground. Now about seven meters closer to the exterior at an unmatchable speed to the inferior opponent's, the sticky substance had hardened and was about a meter and a half in height, as Isaac used it to help launch himself about two meters outside the area of effect and away from the direction his opponent was aiming for. Turning back and smirking at the boy had hit nothing but a wall.

"That's cute, kid. But if you don't want a bullet in your head, take your mouth out of your ass and get a move on. I think the retired adventurer is victorious here. Heh heh."

Isaac smirked and disspelled his grenade launcher and shotgun tonfas, realizing the situation and coming to a conclusion that he was by far superior to the young man, who's skills and strategy were impressive, but not impressive enough.

Arrogantly, Isaac cracked his neck and crossed his arms, spitting on the ground. "And the name's Isaac Anicetus. Remember it, kid."

And on that note, he hummed and headed towards the gigantic, extensive staircase while keeping a close ear on what the kid may do in response. He wouldn't relax that easily. Now at the start of the staircase, Isaac sighed in completely disappointment at the realization of how timely the venture upwards would take. With his hands in his pants' pockets, he began walking up at about three steps at a time. If anything, he wanted to get up there effectively.

Without turning around to make eye contact, Isaac snickered, "Do you think there will be a cute girl up there, pipsqueak? That was Grade A love letter material. Short and pathetic. Heh heh heh."

Although he wasn't trying to make extensive conversation, it was more of him thinking out loud.
